Salvatio Malfoire stalked down the halls of the Ministry of Magic as he headed to courtroom ten as if he owned the place. Occasionally his stomach in fury causing his magic flare out, scaring many of the workers who wondered this man was. Salvatio was furious because Fudge had done what he had suspected, and changed the time of hearing. Salvatio entered the courtroom through a side his magic now tightly under control. As soon as he entered he heard that Fudge had begun the trial.

"Witness for the Defense-" continued Fudge when Salvatio cut him off.

"Lord Salvatio Malfoire, Lord of the Most Ancient Most Noble House of Malfoire" he said his voice echoing throughout the chamber enjoying the surprised looks he was getting, "Let us get on with this trial shall we?" his voice practically dripping with disdain on the word trial as he conjured a throne like chair and looked at the Wizengamot with polite interest.

"Uh-uh-uh, Yes," said Fudge again, shuffling his notes.

"Well, then. So. The charges. Yes." He extricated a piece of parchment from the pile before him, took a deep breath, and read, "The charges against the accused are as follows: That he did knowingly, deliberately, and in full awareness of the illegality of his actions, having received a previous written warning from the Ministry of Magic on a similar charge, produce a Patronus Charm in a Muggle-inhabited area, in the presence of a Muggle, on August the second at twenty-three minutes past nine, which constitutes an offense under paragraph C of the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, 1875, and also under section thirteen of the International Confederation of Wizards' Statute of Secrecy.

"You are Harry James Potter, of number four, Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey?" Fudge said, glaring at Harry over the top of his parchment.

"No," said Harry reveling in the surprised looks, "You see my parents named me traditionally, my mother gave me the name Harryjames, my father gave me the name Salvatio, my godfather gave me the name Amethyst, my father's blood christened me Potter, and my godfather's love christened me Black. So I am Harryjames Salvatio Amethyst Potter-Black of number four, Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey."

"You received an official warning from the Ministry for using illegal magic three years ago, did you not?"

"Yes, but —"

"And yet you conjured a Patronus on the night of the second of August?" said Fudge.

"Yes," said Harry, "but —"

"Knowing that you are not permitted to use magic outside school while you are under the age of seventeen?"

"Yes, but —" tried again Harry feeling betrayed that Salvatio was not defending him.

"Knowing that you were in an area full of Muggles?"

"Yes, but —"

"Fully aware that you were in close proximity to a Muggle at the time?"

"Yes," said Harry angrily, "but I only used it because we were —"

"Enough" said Salvatio feeling furious, not that it showed, "I though we were here for a disciplinary hearing, then I was informed it was actually a trial. Tell me Minister Fudge, are we here for a trial, a hearing, or to see you try a pathetic excuse for a power play. You know that I have heard of better power plays in the Slytherin Common Room that were better then the one you are trying to execute. You are not only a pathetic excuse for a Minister, but also for a Wizard, if not a human being. First you change a common hearing for a minor case of underage magic into a trial, breaking and then continuing to break a lot more laws, and then don't even let a child defend himself."

Fudge was red from Anger and Embarrassment, "How dare you?! I am the Minister of Magic!"

"So since you are the Minister you are above the laws that govern the land?" asked Salvatio.

"Of course not. I did not break any laws."

Salvatio raised an unimpressed eyebrow, "Let us examine your actions Minister, When Heir Potter used the Patronus Spell to defend himself and his cousin from the dementors, a letter came from the Ministry of Magic telling me I was expelled. That was the first law that was broken in regard to this case, no-one but the headmaster has the power to expel a student from Hogwarts. Attempting to do so without the approval of the Headmaster results in you losing any control of the school you previously may have had. Hogwarts has the right to take back the OWLS and NEWTS of a person who has committed such a crime. Remember members of the Ministry and Lords and Ladies of the Wizengamot, Hogwarts is a Private School, built and run on private property. It is not, has never been, and never will be under the control of a Governing Body."

"Is that so, my lord?" asked an old looking Wizengamot member, "Pray tell where you read such an offending pietce of text."

"In your law book, my lord." answered Salvatio, "This is one of your laws I have been quoting."

"Oh, is that so," came the drawling voice of Lucius Malfoy, "i doubt the Ministry would ever support a law like that."

Harry watched in amazement as Salvatio ran circles around the Wizengamot, "Of course they were not, this law was passed in 987 when Hogwarts began opening for all students in Great Britain. At that time there was no Ministry, it was the Lords of the Most Ancient Most Nobel Houses who were setting up the laws that governed the land. Let us just say that Salazar Slytherin could be very persuasive when he wished. Some of their laws are still in action like this one."

"So you are able to prove it." said another Wizengamot member.

Salvatio intoned the law in answer, "By the Lords Slytherin and Gryffindor, and the Ladies Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, also known as the Respectful and Noble Academia of Haugh's Wards, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, located in the Highlands of Scotland, next to the hamlet of Hogsmeade, is herby declared independent in from the Lordships and states, so that in times of war it may be declared a neutral zone.

It will herby be declared from this day and onward, that the Academia of Haugh's Wards, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, shall be declared independent and shall never be part of any legal constitution. The rights and rules of the Academia of Haugh's Wards, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, shall be constructed and upheld by the Headmaster, the Teachers, and acknowledged heirs of Haugh's Wards. Any interference from a legal constitution shall be punished severely, and the punishment for interference shall be by the school. By severe interference such as the expelling of a student, the person who has interfered shall be held responsible, and may leave their right to bear a staff due to the deprivation of school records.

In contrast, the Academia of Haugh's Wards, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, will have to take in all children of magical heritage, from their eleven birthday till their seventeenth birthday, and teach them to be respectful Witches and Wizards. This is the law from 978, stated in the law book, chapter 20, from A-E."

"This can not be!" said Fudge looking shaken, "Weatherby, check the law book."

Percy Weasley checked the law book and then glaring at the offending piece of text spoke, "It is all true."

"Shall we continue, the next law that was broken was that no-one came to investigate at Privet Drive. Since April 1146 there is a law to investigate before taking charges, this is in chapter 38, A-G. This law was implemented after several people were imprisoned on either lacking investigations or trumped up charges. The Gathering of Lords found this completely unacceptable and established a rule that any offence to matter how minor or great shall be investigated thoroughly. The law was never altered after that. The next law you broke was when you did not provide a legal backer for young Heir Potter here."

"You are here-" began Fudge looking distinctly uncomfortable.

"I am no legal backer Minister, I am just a Magical Guardian looking out for my ward, and do not know all paragraphs of the law."

"You could have asked someone." tried Fudge weakly.

"This was supposed to be a hearing in which my ward would not require a legal backer, and then you changed it into a trial at the last moment. On that note you broke the law of 1687, which clearly states that all parties must be informed of a trial taking place, a change of place or time at least 72 hours before the time, but the notices should be sent 168 hours before, or a week before the hearing. Need I continue?" said Salvatio.

"N-N-No." said Fudge, "All in favor of clearing all charges." 5/8ths of the courtroom raised their hands.

"All against?" continued Madame Bones when it became clear Fudge was not going to say anything. The rest of the people raised their hands. "Cleared of All Charges." announced Madame Bones.

Salvatio told Harry to get up, and then put his hand on Harry's shoulder to guide him outside when an old fierce looking woman wearing a vultures hat came forward, "Professor Malfoire." she greeted with a slight bow, "How are you?"

"Augusta Selwyn, though I hear it is Longbottom now." said Salvatio as most of the members of the Wizengamot fell silent to listen to the interaction.

"It is. You will have join me over tea sometime." replied Augusta.

"Of course. It was genuine pleasure to see you again Augusta. Take care." said Salvatio as he pulled Harry and they exited the Wizengamot Chamber.
