Chapter One: Visitors

A/N: In this book Swift Heart will be a boy as that's what I thought she was until I did a book for Dark Heart.

"I wonder where Tenderheart is. He should of been back by now." Alexis says as she is standing in wolf form waiting for Tenderheart to return.

"Here you are Alexis. We've been looking for you." A voice says revealing to be Friend Bear and Secret Bear.

"Oh uh sorry. Just have my thoughts elsewhere I guess. Huh? Who are they?" Alexis asks as she sees two kids.

"And who are you?" The boy asks.

"Kim, Jason we would like you to meet Alexis. She is an honor member of the Care Bears." Friend Bear says.

"Hello kids." Alexis says as she shifts to human form.

"Whoa! She can turn into a human!" The girl shouts in alarm.

"Oh. Sorry. Too much at once I guess. Sorry about that." Alexis says kindly.

"Don't be alarmed. Alexis won't hurt you. She's one of the bravest and most kind people we have here. She's also quit fast and smart." friend bear says as secret bear nods.

"All part of being a wolf shifter. Anyway sorry for the free scare kids. Nice to meet you both." Alexis says kindly.

"You too." The boy says.

"Look! Tenderheart's Rainbow Roller is out of control!" Friend Bear shouts as everyone sees Tenderheart headed for them in a rainbow roller.

"Quick! Run for cover! It's coming! Brace yourselves!" Tenderheart shouts as he floats down on a heart balloon.

"What's coming?" Share Bear asks before the ground shakes violently sending some flying and destroying much of Care-A-Lot.

"Tenderheart! The Caring Meter dropped two whole points! There must be a huge shortage in people who stopped caring on Earth." Alexis says as she sees climbs out of some clouds and sees the caring meter.

"What could have caused that?" Kim asks.

"The same thing that caused the cloud quake! A boy named Nicholas is being taken over by an evil spirit." Tenderheart says.

"And what about when the Caring Meter drops to zero? Then what?" Kim asks.

"No one in the world will care. Which means the end of Care-A-Lot." Alexis says.

"I think that's exactly what the spirit has in mind!" Tenderheart says.

"Oh my gosh. I forgot. I sighted parents for you at the orphanage. They want to adopt you both." Bedtime Bear says.

"Come on Grumpy. Let's warm up the Rainbow Rescue Beam. Kim and Jason have to get back in a hurry." Tenderheart says as everyone goes inside to the rescue beam.

"Kim, Jason we're ready. All set?" Grumpy asks as Kim and Jason come over.

"No! We're not going back to the orphanage. We're going to help you." Kim says.

"But what about your parents?" Alexis asks.

"We made up our minds." Jason says.

"You showed us how to share our feelings and that's just what we're going to do." Kim says as everyone cheers.

"All right our first job is to go to Earth and find Nicholas. Friend Bear, Alexis, Secret Bear you head down with Kim and Jason. We'll follow. Hold on to this for me, Jason. Don't lose it. It's very important." Tenderheart says as he hands Jason a key.

"Don't worry Tenderheart. I wouldn't lose it for nothing." Jason says before the group goes up to the beam and gets transported.
