So, I started another story... But this one I actually feel like I can continue. Anyway, enjoy!

Idi Vizsla didn't really know how to describe her relationship with her brother. He was a stubborn ass most of the time, but he was her brother. And she owed him her loyalty. But then she also hated him majority of the time, though she was very good at keeping her mouth shut about it. She had to be.

This time though, he'd gone too far.

She donned her helmet, holstered her two pistols, made sure she had plenty of detonators on her person and swung her black cloak, which only hung to her knees, over her shoulders.

It was a short walk from her tent in the Death Watch encampment to the command tent. Idi ducked through the flaps and found her brother lounging on a crate, surrounded by his warriors. The Darksaber was laying on a crate next to him. She pulled off her helmet, blue eyes flashing, "We need to talk Pre."

"Very well." Her brother set his helmet aside on a crate and addressed his warriors, "Leave us."

All of the warriors filed past Idi, who didn't so much as glance their way as she set her helmet aside and faced her brother. He leaned back, looking very relaxed, "Well, you wanted to talk, so talk."

"I want to know why you keep putting my husband on all of the shitty jobs. It's ridiculous, he's the best pilot you've got, and he's one of the most high ranking warriors in Death Watch, second only to you and I!"

"Idi, your husband," Pre nearly spat the words, "is constantly getting beaten in the field."

"Then put him in the skies, not a mining facility!"

Pre leaned back, "Patrols only go out so often."

"You just don't like him." Idi crossed her arms. When her brother only shrugged, Idi took a step closer, "Pre, you're being ridiculous."

"Not really, positions are based off skill."

"So keeping your best pilot out of the skies is the logical choice."

"If he wants to be a pilot he should fly in our trials next cycle. Until then, he'll stay on mine guard." Pre stood as he talked, and then walked over to a nearby datapad, scrolling through it.

Idi glared at him, "I'm not finished."

"Idi, I have things to do."

"You can do them when I'm finished."

"Idi." He sounded annoyed. Good.

Idi just kept her arms crossed, waiting. And glaring at him. Pre scrolled further down the datapad, likely looking through reports or news from Mandalore. But Idi was very content to wait. She'd been putting this off for years, and she wasn't about to let him get away with it any longer.

Eventually, he turned back her direction, "What is it Idi?"

"I did say I wasn't finished."

"Then what do you want to says sister?"

"You won't assign Kem to anything but the crappy jobs because you don't like him. Admit it."

Pre took a step toward her, "Idi, he's your husband, why wouldn't I like him."

"Because I wouldn't marry inside of Clan Vizsla, like you wanted." When he didn't respond, Idi continued, "And, you can't accept the fact that not only did I marry him, but had his child as well."

"How is your daughter by the way?"

Idi knew he was just trying to get her to quit, "Like you've ever cared."

Pre looked frustrated, "Idi, I have things to do, more important things than this petty squabble. You know I'm meeting with the Duchess tonight." And he walked away, toward his datapad and his reports.

Idi frowned, picking up her helmet, "Honestly Pre, Kem and I should just take our daughter and leave."

"You wouldn't."

"What's stopping me?"

"The danger you'd be in if you left, and your loyalty to your clan." He smirked, "And your loyalty to me."

Idi turned and headed for the exit, calling over her shoulder, "It can't be worse than living with you."

Pre pushed a tent flap up behind her, "And the fact that your ship is currently under repair."

"It's not the only ship in the camp Pre."

"But at the moment, it's the only one you can access."

Idi swore under her breath and ignored him, donning her helmet as she headed for her tent, speaking into her commlink, "Kem, do you copy?"

"Yeah, I'm here. Standing in the same place I've been for the past four hours."

Idi smiled just a little, "Remind me when you get off again."

"18:00, why?"

"I just talked to my brother."

"About what?" Kem sounded skeptical.

"You know, treating you like you're one of the lowest ranking warriors. I'm fed up with it! Just because you're from outside the clan doesn't make you lesser than him!"

"Idi," Kem's voice was soft, even over the comm, "Calm down. We've tried this before, and it never works. And every time you do, he just sticks me on the worst job he can think of. Besides, I'm used to it at this point."

"Kem, I threatened him with leaving and he locked me out of all of the ships. And yours is under repair."

"Idi, he's just pushing your buttons. Besides, you couldn't leave your clan, and there's no way I'm leaving you." He fell silent for a moment, "There's some sort of disturbance, I need to go."

"Stay safe Kem."

"I will."

Kem made yet another sweep of the lower areas of the mining facility. It was all clear, just like the last five times he'd checked. Pre had given direct orders that Kem was to be stationed in the lower areas, despite the fact that they'd just caught a Jedi snooping around the upper levels. Said Jedi was supposedly now being held captive.

Kem wouldn't know, he'd been down here the whole time. He started another sweep, and was nearly halfway through when the entrance alarms began to blare. He checked comm chatter, no one seemed to know what was going on. The two warriors who were guarding the Jedi had supposedly begun to kill him, and were now investigating the disturbance. Great.

"Kem," Pre's voice cut over the comm, "Go guard the Jedi. Make sure he dies."

Kem hurried for the elevator, "Of course my lord." It took him a minute to reach the elevator, and he punched in the code that would take him up to the correct level, foot tapping on the floor as the elevator rose. He checked his gun, double checked that he had a few charges and raced out the elevator doors and down the hallway.

He ran around the corner, into the main room of that floor. Where the machine that was supposed to be killing the Jedi was turned off. Said Jedi was entering an elevator on the far side of the room, a woman with him. No, scratch that, the Duchess of Mandalore was with him. There was a young girl too, holding something in each hand. Lightsabers maybe, he couldn't tell. Two guards were slumped against some crates, out cold.

Kem hurried forward, gun raised, "Stop right there!"

The Jedi turned, and waved his hand. Kem's gun was ripped out of his hands by some unseen force, and he was raised up in the air. The same unseen force flung him into the crates, and stars danced in his vision. He was dropped to the ground in front of the two other warriors, driving the breath out of him. Several of the crates at the top of the pile were wobbling in one corner of Kem's vision, while in the other, the Jedi and the Duchess were boarding the elevator.

But before Kem could stumble to his feet, the crates wobbled right off the edge, and right onto him. He cried out, and the world swam with pain for the briefest of moments before it went black.

Idi hadn't even been cleaning her blasters for ten minutes when she heard blaster fire from the edge of camp. Sighing, she swiftly put her pistol back together and holstered it, jamming her helmet on as she ran out of the tent.

It wasn't hard to follow the sound of blaster fire, straight to where three warriors were firing toward the mining facility. Two more warriors ran up behind Idi as she drew her blasters, opening fire on a man and the woman with him. She gestured to the three warriors, "You three, stop him."

Idi holstered her pistols, flipping down her range finder to get a better look as the warriors streaked toward the facility. One of them was gunned down by the man, who upon closer inspection, looked like he was wearing Jedi robes. "Just great…" Idi muttered. An even closer look revealed that there was a young girl as well, also in Jedi robes. "This is just great…" Idi added.

As she watched, more and more warriors gathering behind her, the Jedi threw a jetpack up in the air in front of the two remain warriors and shot it. It blew up, and the subsequent smoke cloud blocked her view of the situation.

She flipped up her range finder, intending to comm her brother, but he was running up behind her. He'd donned his armor again since his meeting with the Duchess. He spoke, voice hard, "I'll deal with this. You three, and Idi, come with me. The rest of you get to your ships and evacuate."

Bo-Katan stopped briefly next to Idi, "I'll take your daughter with me."

Idi nodded, hurrying after her brother, "Thank you."

A quick glance in the direction of the Jedi revealed that he'd already taken out both of the warriors, with the help of the young girl. They ducked behind some rocks as Idi, her brother and the warriors neared. One of the warriors from before was struggling to pick himself up off the ground nearby.

Idi's brother pulled out his pistol, look straight at the warrior, and said, voice unyielding, "Failure."

Idi did so much as flinch, eyes ahead, on the Jedi. He stepped out from behind the rock as she watched, facing them head on. Pre gave a small hand motion, the signal for them to stop. So they did, Idi slightly in front of the other warriors as Pre continued forward a few steps.

He reached up, and pulled his helmet off. Idi very nearly sighed as he began to speak.

"For generations my ancestors fought proudly as warriors against the Jedi. Now, that woman-" he tipped his head to the woman behind the rock, whom Idi could now see was the Duchess. "-tarnishes the very name Mandalorian. Defend her if you will!" He reached down and unclipped a light saber from his belt, tossing it to the Jedi. The young girl was standing in front of the Duchess, glaring at them all.

Idi very nearly sighed again.

Her brother pulled his cloak off as the Jedi lit the saber, twirling it around. Idi slowly placed her hands on top of her pistols, just in case. Which was when something occurred to her.

Kem was in that mining facility, on guard duty. If the Jedi had escaped… Idi slowly raised her left hand up to her helmet and activated her comm. As loudly as she dared, she murmured, "Kem?"

Nothing.

The Jedi pointed the saber directly at Idi's brother as he reached up and grabbed the Darksaber, lighting it, "This lightsaber was stolen from your Jedi temple by my ancestors during the fall of the Old Republic. Since then, many Jedi have died upon its blade." Her brother leveled the blade at the Jedi, "Prepare yourself to join them!"

In a split second, he jumped up, and swung down on the Jedi, who blocked the blow with his blade and pushed Pre's off. Pre took a step back, and swung at the Jedi, who dodged. Pre swung again, and the Jedi jumped over it, and parried several more blows.

Idi risked it again, muttering, "Kem, come in."

Still nothing.

Idi's brother and the Jedi exchanged several more blows before the Jedi pushed Pre back with some unseen force, sending him flying, nearly into the three warriors and Idi. Two of the warriors caught Pre, who shrugged them off and charged right back at the Jedi.

The Jedi dodged Pre's swing, and kneed him in the face, then kicked his hand, the Darksaber flying back toward Idi. Pre frowned, and jumped to his feet. He delivered a powerful blow to the Jedi's gut, followed by a knee to the same place. And then a punch to the face, sending the Jedi flying back.

Idi hurried forward and picked up the Darksaber, "Pre!" He turned and she threw it to him. He caught it with ease and ignited it, moving toward the Jedi.

"Stop!" The young girl stepped out from behind the rock, speaking very fluent Mando'a, "I challenge you to single combat!"

Pre froze, and Idi did the same as she straightened. Her brother glanced over his shoulder, at her, and the warriors watching from behind her. He turned back, "And I accept."

The girl unclipped twin blue sabers, and lit them, sinking into a waiting stance. Pre twirled the Darksaber once, and then fired his jetpack, using it to come down on the girl with a very powerful blow. But she jumped up, turning off her sabers, and met him midair. She punched his gut and used his own momentum to fling him down to the ground, narrowly missing Idi, who moved out of the way of her brother.

Pre stumbled to his feet, looking shaky, and nodded to Idi. She nodded right back, rolled a smoke grenade forward and fired her jetpack. He was forfeiting the duel and leaving her to do the work. Fine. The sooner she could finish this, the sooner she could find her husband.

She shot straight up in the air, almost suspended for a moment, and then shot downward at an angle; leg extended. Her booted foot connected with the girl's ribs with a loud crack and sent the girl flying much further back than the other Jedi had done before.

Idi could hear the Duchess crying out at the sight, and she caught a glimpse of the Jedi's horrified face before she locked eyes with Pre. One more nod from her brother, and she was firing her jetpack once more, heading for base. They landed outside a ship, and Idi called ahead to her brother, "I'm going to find Kem! I'll catch up!"

Pre whipped around, looking angry, thought about it for a second, then said, "Fine. If you get yourself killed going after your worthless husband, that's not my problem."

Idi glared and him, but took off back toward the mining facility. She'd use the back entrance, look for Kem, and hopefully by the time she'd found him, the Jedi and the Duchess would be long gone.

So, what did you think? Hopefully you thought it was good and not confusing. The young girl is a Jedi oc belonging to UnitedAsNerds, so go check them out! Feel free to leave a review, it helps way more than you'd think!
