Chapter 1: Celebrating Tatsuki Arisawa's Birthday
Orihime had just got out of work as she ran home to change and grabbed the birthday card and present for her best friend, Tatsuki.
When Orihime came home she unlocked her door and headed inside, locked the door back, and ran to her room.
She grabbed a pair of change of clothes and ran to the bathroom to shower and change.
Before she got in, she received a text from Tatsuki.
"Hey! Are we still on our dinner date? You know? In a best friend's way?" Tatsuki said.
Orihime giggled and she replied back to her best friend, "Yes! I'm just going to shower real fast and then I'll be at your place!"
Tatsuki replied back to the text, "Naked?! Haha just kidding! Okay thanks a bunch."
Orihime laughed at the text as she headed into the shower.
When Orihime got out, she put lotion on her body, brushed her hair and teeth, did some skin care, and put on some really nice clothes.
She saw that her phone was blinking, when Orihime checked it, it was a text from Izaya.
"Hey! Me and Keigo have a gift for Tatsuki, may we come by and drop it off to you so you can give it to her?" Izaya asked.
"Hey! Yes you may, I'm so sorry for the late reply, I just got out of the shower." Orihime said.
"No biggie. Okay thanks, we're on our way right now." Izaya texted.
Orihime got out of the bathroom as she put on her sandals and grabbed her purse and the gift. She put the birthday card in the gift bag.
Orihime grabbed some pepper spray, sunglasses, her wallet, her orange bear plushie, phone, and keys. She walked out of her apartment as she closed and locked the door.
Orihihime texted Izaya, "Hey I'm outside I'll be heading to Tatsuki's place."
"We'll catch up. Thanks!" Izaya texted.
Orihime smiled at the text as she walked to Tatsuki's.
Orihime felt someone was stalking her. She immediately turned around but no one was behind her.
She took out her phone as she texted Izaya.
"I'm- I'm by the trees. But I feel like someone is stalking me." Orihime said.
"Keigo and I, we'll run then, stay there but keep texting us." Izaya said.
Orihime gulped as she stood by the tree, having anxiety and holding on to her heart as it was pounding so hard.
Then she jumped as a loud "boo!" was heard.
"Ahhhh! Don't hurt me! Go away!" Orihime said as she covered her head and cried.
"Yeah, I told you she's still scared as ever." A woman's voice said.
Orihime sat up and looked up, tears running down her face.
"Hey there, Princess, where are you going?" Loly said.
"Why did you have to scare me like that? You know I hate being scared, Loly!" Orihime said.
"Calm down, I was only kidding." Loly said as she chuckled.
Orihime looked down.
"I told you to leave her be, Loly." a man's voice said.
Orihime and Loly both looked at the tall man.
"Mind your own business, Ulquiorra!" Loly said.
"No." Ulquiorra said as he walked up to Orihime and held out his hand to help her up.
"Are you alright?" Ulquiorra asked.
Orihime blushed as she grabbed his hand and stood up.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you." Orihime said.
"Orihime!" Izaya and Keigo had caught up to her.
"Oh hey guys." Izaya waved at Ulquiorra and Loly as he panted.
"What's up, anyways it's getting a little dark, so we're going now, unless emo boy wants to stay and hang out with the weirdos." Loly said as she laughed.
Ulquiorra sighed. "You all should leave now."
"Yes. Of course, let's go guys." Orihime said as she ran off.
Izaya and Keigo followed her.
"Babe, who were those guys?" Keigo asked.
"The tall guy with the black hair, his name is Ulquiorra Cifer. The girl with the black pony tails, her name is Loly Aivirrne." Izaya said.
They all stopped by Tatsuki's mailbox.
"Loly gave me a big scare, Ulquiorra told her to knock it off." Orihime explained.
"She's still in her mean girl phase, I was hoping she'll grow out of it." Izaya said.
"I'm okay, really. But Ulquiorra, he seemed nice…." Orihime said as she blushed and had a flashback.
Izaya and Keigo shrugged as Keigo went to Tatsuki's doorbell and rang it.
Tatsuki answered, "Hey guys! Whoa, what a surprise!"
"Hey! Happy Birthday!" Keigo said.
"Happy Birthday, Tatsuki!" Orihime said as she ran up to her best friend.
"Happy birthday, Tatsuki." Izaya said.
"Aww, thanks so much you guys! And you've got me gifts, awesome!" Tatsuki said.
"We hope you like them, Izaya and I spent a few hours in the mall looking for what you like." Keigo said.
Tatsuki chuckled, "Still, thank you. Now run along you two, this is mine and Hime's mini dinner."
"Oh okay, well, have fun you silly girls." Izaya said as he waved at them.
"Bye, happy birthday, Tatsuki." Keigo said.
"Thanks again!" Tatsuki said as she let Orihime in and closed the door.
The two sat in Tatsuki's living room, food was served and hot.
"My mom dropped off cupcakes for me, but I figure we can share them. Should I save some for Keigo and Izaya?" Tatsuki asked.
"You should, they love sweets!" Orihime said.
Tatsuki giggled and nodded.
"So, besides working, anything new with you? What about Ichigo?" Tatsuki asked as she ate her food.
"You mean, like, are we together?" Orihime asked.
"Yes, sweetie." Tatsuki nodded as she winked at her best friend.
"He's already dating somebody else. You may have met him at Ichigo's party." Orihime replied.
"Wait, he's the guy with the blue hair, correct?" Tatsuki asked.
"Yes. They've been dating for a year, but it's okay with me. I don't want to-" Orihime got distracted again, she had a flashback about Ulquiorra.
"I see. I was just shocked, that's all. I didn't know he was dating somebody else." Tatsuki said.
Orihime was still distracted.
Tatsuki snapped her fingers. "Hello, earth to Orihime."
"Huh? Oh I'm sorry, I should really stop doing that." Orihime said as she giggled.
"Well, what about Chizuru? I remembered she had a major crush on you, and I don't blame her, who wouldn't date a cute girl like you~?" Tatsuki said.
"She's also dating someone, but I don't know who she is. Chizuru just said to me, 'Oh I have a girlfriend, and she's hot as hell, but you're still cute Orihime.' and gave me a hug and left my job." Orihime said.
"Whaaaaat? I need to find out who this girl is. And you said 'hell' My little Hime is all grown up." Tatsuki as she laughed.
Orihime blushed as she looked away.
"Anyways, Tatsuki, do you want to open up your gifts? I hope you like me." Orihime said.
Tatsuki laughed as she grabbed the gift from Orihime.
She took out the card and opened it and read it, "You're so sweet. Thank you." Tatsuki said.
She then unwrapped the gift as it was a scrapbook, a locket, and a new video game that Tatsuki wanted.
Tatsuki opened the scrapbook as it had a few photos of Orihime and Tatsuki and a few others.
"Orihime, oh my gosh! This is beautiful, how'd you find these?" Tatsuki asked.
"My old computer before I was going to throw it out. I kept thinking I had some photos from our childhood and teenhood years, so I was able to log in, print them out and delete them." Orihime explained.
"This is hella amazing. Thank you! And this locket." Tatsuki said as she opened it.
The locket had a small black and white photo of Orihime and Tatsuki taking a selfie.
"Thank you! And the video game. Hell yeah! Going to play with this baby all night long." Tatsuki said.
"You're so welcome, Tatsuki!" Orihime said as she laughed.
Tatsuki then opened Izaya's and Keigo's gifts.
Inside was a new hoodie that had dragoons prints on the back and the sleeves, arm sleeve warmers that were black and white stripes, some stickers, and a new spiked bracelet.
"The boys know what I like. Hell yeah! I'm going to thank them right now." Tatsuki said as she grabbed her phone.
Orihime giggled as she grabbed a cupcake and took a bite out of it.
"But really, thank you, Orihime. I'm glad you celebrated my birthday with me, even though it's not really a party." Tatsuki said.
"It's alright. May I stay here for the night?" Orihime asked.
"Yes! I'm off for the weekend so you may. Unless you have work?" Tatsuki asked.
"I'm off for the weekend too. We should totally get together and hang out more often." Orihime said.
"Hell yeah!" Tatsuki said as she stood up and headed out to her door.
"Let's head to your place and help you pack." Tatsuki said.
"Oh and Tatsuki, I know I like boys, but people say that this is normal for girls to do this, so-" Orihime kissed Tatsuki's cheek and giggled.
"Aww, you're so sweet, Orihime." Tatsuki said as she blushed.
"Happy birthday, bestie! I love you!" Orihime said as she held Tatsuki's hand and the two skipped to Orihime's place to help her pack.
"Thanks, bestie. I love you too." Tatsuki said as she smiled.
