Everyone was gathered in Baron's house. They were having Omos' bachelor party. Since Baron owned a giant house, he had offered to house the party. Besides, he never passed down the opportunity to throw a barbeque on top of it.
"I love her so much," Omos said.
"I know you do, you soft giant," AJ said.
Baron smiled at the two men talking. The door bell ring and he looked at AJ.
"She's here," AJ grinned.
"Let her in and get started. I need to go wash all the raw meat juices off me," Baron said.
Baron disappeared upstairs to wash himself and change his shirt. Meanwhile AJ let in the stripper he had booked for Omos. Everyone whistled as a woman dressed like a naughty sailor stepped in. The outfit was white and navy blue. Her hair was dark brown and long. Her eyes were ocean blue.
"Hi, boys. I'm Jackal," she said. "Who's the lucky man?"
"Me," Omos grinned.
"Well, hello there, big boy," she grinned back. "Why don't you take a seat while I get the music sorted?"
Omos pulled up a chair and sat down. Jackal held up a USB pen. AJ took it and placed it in the laptop. He clicked play and Jackal took over. She kept her attention on Omos, giving him much needed attention while getting out of her hat, skirt and top. She was on Omos' lap when Baron's voice suddenly sounded over the music.
"Julianne?" Baron asked.
She stopped dancing and looked over at Baron. None of the men had been stupid enough to believe her actual name was Jackal. It was a stage name, but apparently Baron knew the woman. She moved away from Omos, walked over to Baron and slapped him as hard as she could. AJ quickly killed the music by pulling the USB pen out of the laptop.
"I guess I deserved that," Baron said.
"You left me there!" Julianne yelled.
"Is she your ex girlfriend?" AJ asked.
"No, she's my sister," Baron answered.
"I am not your fucking sister!" Julianne yelled. "We happen to share the same DNA but that's it. You are not my family. You will never be my family."
She picked up her clothes, walked over to AJ and grabbed the USB pen from his hand, and then bolted out of the house. They heard a car engine start, followed by someone driving away fast. Baron looked around awkwardly at all the men present. Everyone wanted to know more but no one asked any questions. He finally settled his eyes on AJ.
"I'll pay you," Baron said. "Please, don't contact her agency and demand a refund. Don't do that to her. I'll pay whatever you paid to book her."
"I wasn't gonna," AJ said. "I didn't know you had a sister."
"Julianne," Baron sighed. "Things ended... Well, they ended. Let's just stick with that. I was a shitty brother and I deserved that slap. I'm surprised that was all she did. I deserve her anger."
"What the hell did you do?" AJ asked.
"I was too busy chasing my own dreams that I forgot about her. I left her behind in a shitty situation, and I kinda forgot about her. I'm not proud of what I did. I haven't seen her in years. I didn't even know she's a stripper now," Baron said.
Baron coughed and scratched his head.
"Can we not do this today?" Baron asked. "It's Omos' day. Let's party. I'm gonna throw the meat on the grill. Help yourselves to more beers."
"I'd like one," Omos said lowly.
AJ went to get another beer for Omos while Baron disappeared out in the garden. It didn't take long before AJ came out there with a beer for Baron. Baron accepted it and took a swig.
"I think I need something stronger," Baron said.
"Not while working with fire," AJ chuckled. "It's okay, Baron. The guys are having fun again. It was an awkward moment but they're over it. The question is, are you over it too?"
"No," Baron sighed.
"Tomorrow is a brand new day," AJ said. "Use it wisely."
