"PROFESSOR! CHARLOTTE FAWLEY HAS DONE IT AGAIN!"
Charlotte Fawley, a Slytherin third year, sprinted down the corridors of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You see, she just jinxed a Ravenclaw in her year, for calling her 'a filthy, no good, slimy little bitch'. And that very jinx caused her mouth to disappear. Charlotte found it hilarious. The Ravenclaw and her friend did not.
So Charlotte ran for it.
Charlotte dodged out of the way of a very frightened looking first year and made her way towards an empty corridor where she could hide for a few hours.
Charlotte came across the deserted corridor and mercifully- a broom cupboard. She burst into the cupboard and tried to catch her breath.
"Excuse me." Someone said. "But why are you in my cupboard?"
Charlotte turned around and gasped. There was a boy tending to a injured raven chick on a old, battered but strudy breakfast tray. He was smiling at Charlotte kindly but he looked exhausted.
"What do you mean? Your cupboard?" Charlotte asked, confused.
The boy, a Hufflepuff, wrapped the bandages around the raven's injured wing. Then he looked at Charlotte again. "This is a place where I've looked after my creatures for three years now. I bring lost and hurt creatures, magical and non magical, to here where I heal them and feed them."
"What's your name?" Charlotte asked.
"My name is Henry." The Hufflepuff said. "Henry Potter."
Charlotte was surprised at this. Potters were usually Gryffindors, not Hufflepuffs. Or at the very least Ravenclaw.
"My name is Charlotte Fawley." Charlotte said as Henry broke up some moonstones and dropped them into a boiling cauldron. "I'm a Slytherin."
Henry looked at her. "Hello then, Miss Fawley." He said quietly, dropping some crushed up Flobberworms into the cauldron.
"Call me Lottie." Charlotte said, chuckling at the raven chick, who was opening and closing it's beak. "This raven chick is being very dramatic."
"Her name is Rowena." Henry said, stirring whatever he was making in the cauldron. "She was injured while attempting to fly for the first time. So I found her and took her in my cupboard."
"You're very kind." Charlotte said. "Why do you do this?"
Henry shrugged. "I don't know. They're like me, I suppose. They are lost and alone in the world, like me, I think."
"Very smart answer of yours, Henry." Charlotte said.
"Call me Harry." Henry said. "People usually call me Harry."
"Alright then... Harry." Charlotte said. "You seem tired."
Henry smiled. "I am. But I want to look after my creatures. They are like my family."
Charlotte chuckled lightly as the raven bit Henry on his finger. Henry pretended to look mad but he really couldn't stay mad.
"Rowena, please stop yourself from biting my finger." Henry said, putting some buttery chunks of bread onto the tray. "Eat up."
Rowena chirped and began gobbling up the chunks of bread. She seemed very hungry, Charlotte thought.
"Can you please mind Rowena?" Henry asked Charlotte after a few minutes of comfortable silence. "I'll make us some tea."
"Tea?" Charlotte gasped. "Do you live here?" She joked.
Henry chuckled as he bent over a box and pulled out a kettle and two rather cipped mugs.
"Occasionally, I sleep here." Henry said and Charlotte's eyes widened. "Yes, I sleep here, whenever one of my creatures are having a bad day or are in pain."
"Where's your bed from when you sleep here?" Charlotte asked.
"I don't have a bed. I have two blankets but that's it." Henry said.
"You must be awful sore in the morning." Charlotte said. "Sleeping in a cupboard and with only two blankets! What if the Headmaster found out?"
"He knows." Henry said. "I'm best friends with his son, Phineas Black the second. Headmaster Black found me and Phineas tending to my Grindlylow-"
"What?!"
"Yes, a Grindlylow. He'd injured himself on a piece of glass in the lake. Me and Phineas brought the Grindlylow or Godric, here to heal him. Headmaster Black found us making the potions to heal Godric." Henry explained. "He somehow found it admirable so he gave me and Phineas thirty points for Hufflepuff and Slytherin. He let me keep my cupboard and he even put an Extension Charm on it. He says as long as I don't do anything stupid, curfew doesn't apply to me."
"That's probably the nicest thing he ever did." Charlotte said. "He's known throughout the school for being cold hearted."
"I know but I think he likes me." Henry said.
"For unknown reasons." Charlotte said and Henry laughed.
"He's alright once you get to know him." Henry said, yawning loudly. "You can look around the cupboard, underneath those stairs, there's more of my creatures."
"More of them?!"
"It's only the beginning."
Charlotte walked down the stairs and squeaked in excitement. Creatures were squeaking and squealing in their large cages. It seemed like Henry had magically enlarged the cages to give his many pets more room.
Charlotte eagerly skipped over to a Kneakle, laughing at the way it pulled funny faces.
This went on for a few minutes.
Above, Charlotte heard a small thump and she climbed up the stairs to investigate.
Henry was asleep on the floor, two mugs of tea sitting on a wooden box. He was breathing heavily. He obviously hadn't slept in ages.
Charlotte found the two blankets and threw them over Henry's body.
He shifted slightly, and he smiled softly.
Dear Charlotte,Forever is a long time, but I'd love to spend it with you."Your secret admirer?" Grace Potter said.
"Yes, him again." Charlotte said, blushing heavily.
"Lemme see the letter."
Grace took the letter out of Charlotte's hands and she gasped.
"Ah!" Grace said smugly. "It's me brother!"
"Who? Henry?" Charlotte asked innocently.
"Yes, Henry. He's my only brother, and my twin, you dolt." Grace said. "Write back."
"It's logical, I like him too." Charlotte said, smiling.
Grace squealed.
Dear Henry,
I know forever is a long time, and I'd love to spend it with you too.
Charlotte.
"SHE FUCKING REPLIED!" Phineas Black shrieked.
"FINALLY!" Albus Dumbledore shouted.
Henry was blushing like crazy.
Henry and Charlotte did spend forever together, and they didn't regret it.
They hugged, they laughed, they cried, they kissed.
They struck together until their dying breaths.
.
And it all started because Charlotte ran into a cupboard to get away from the possibility of a detention.
