It was always the same; he'd come up with a grand idea then the blue elf would come to ruin it all as if magic. The tall, lanky man sat defeated in his orange furry chair, it was big enough to sleep in and to spend the entire day lounging about. It'd be much easier to lounge if the children of Lazytown didn't cheer, yell, and worst of all laugh so loud. Robbie Rotten, a man who stood well above the rest, picked at the fuzziness of the arm rest after being sent home more embarrassed than anything. His defeats always came at the hands of the overzealous and energetic sports-elf, Sportacus, left him with a bad taste in his mouth. As if he had eaten sportscandy!
His life would so much better when he could just live his days out in silence and solitude. Although the attention given by the other man wasn't all bad. 'Though not needed,' Robbie often thought to himself after each smile the bouncing elf shot him.
"That Sportaflop never not smiles." Robbie finally said aloud, as if his own thoughts asked him a question that he needed to answer. "I do so much bad and yet he never frowns at meā¦never raises a hand to me. Why?!" his accent rolled from his words as he began to stand from his chair and pace. His large white teeth gritted at the thought of Sportacus becoming angry at him. Pausing to tap his large chin with a long slender finger.
Robbie looked at the time, it was past three in the morning. Another night wasted on more than just sleeping, but that's what the day is for isn't it? He made his way to his disguise tubes holding the sleeping cap, robe and sleep attire. He'd turn in for the night and think of another plan to run the elf out of town tomorrow.
Above the clouds circled the blimp of the said man-elf. Sportacus, the tenth almost guardian of Lazytown, slept in his all white sheets in the wall bed. At least he tried to sleep, the crystal on his chest gave a soft glow most nights anymore. It was as if someone was in trouble but not enough that he could save them. Whenever he brought it up with the town folk, each told him they fell asleep peacefully without any trouble. So he tried not pay much attention to it, but it continued to alert him regardless. His blue eyes tried to shut as the slow pulsating light began to fade over the minutes. At least whoever was having trouble finally was able to solve it. Turning over in his bed the glow began up again, this time opening his eyes wider. If he didn't come to the answer he may never be able to sleep peacefully again. Oh but how he hated getting up so soon, it was going on four in the morning.
'Not much of a hero if I did not try to help.' he thought to himself, pulling the covers off revealing he slept in his same blue suit everyday. His body felt like lead getting up before his usual seven in the morning, stiff from sleeping like a log. He rose to his feet, stumbling a few steps in search of his table he left out covered in fruits and vegetables. A quick snack will help boost his mood before searching for the cause, the light of the crystal helped guide him to the fruit laden table. But the glow went away once more as he lifted the pear to his mouth, either someone was toying with him or they were having a very bad night sleep. He pursed his lips tightly as his long thin mustache seemed to twitch from either side.
Placing the pear down, he gave a small twirl landing back into bed. He knew he wouldn't get a good night's sleep if the crystal kept going off every minute but he'd have to just settle with what sleep he got. It would be morning soon, then he could see to the problem. Sportacus rolled to his side and fell asleep quickly.

The sun always seemed to bounce into the sky when the mornings came. It's sudden arrival always woke Sportacus up with a smile, reminding he could have another day to help those who need him. He'd hurry with his daily morning routine and see to entering the town earlier to investigate the crystal's sudden glow the night prior.
Below ground, Robbie still stirred in his orange chair. Asleep but struggling to find the comfort in his mind to allow for a peaceful sleep. He opened his eyes and lifted the sleep cap off his black slickened hair, slapping the pin-strip cap to the cold metal floor. His difficulty sleeping caused the crystal to begin its sudden pulses just as they did at night.
"Someone is in trouble?" Sportacus said aloud as he placed his toothbrush back into the wall and making his way to the door. He searched from his high perch but couldn't find citizens walking around so early in the morning, in fact most homes didn't seem to be awake yet. "Who could it be?"
