Jay's P.O.V.

"Daddy." Her voice was scarce and rough sounding, but anyone could hear what she was saying. Elle was dreaming about her dad. As soon as she whispered that word Will sprung into action, assumingly, paging Rhodes and Choi before checking her vitals. Which she definitely protested.

"No...Will...I'm fine." I met Adam's eyes to see if we should interrupt before she starts getting too upset. He just shrugged and got her some water which distracted her enough for Will to get her vitals. Though she definitely wasn't happy about it.

"You aren't even my doctor." Her eyes were droopy, it was definitely a sign of pain meds, and her head was swaying a little but that stopped when Adam held the side of her face for her to lean into.

"I'm a doctor, Elle, and you just woke up from a coma."

"So...it goes against policy. We are blood. You can't work on me." If the eyes weren't a sign that she was on drugs the fact that she used her finger to show the two of them was. Thankfully I didn't have to break them up because Rhodes had come in with Maggie, and started to check everything. Before Will could even say a word the three of us were kicked out by Maggie. It was the normal procedure when anyone from Intelligence was injured; it kept people from bombarding the person being checked out.

"Jay, what happened? Why aren't you guys in there? Did something happen?" There came Severide, Kidd, Gallo, Mouch, Hermann, Casey, Boden, Kim, and Voight."

"Elle woke up. Rhodes and Maggie are checking her over before we can go back in." So we all just stood there, waiting, until finally after 15 minutes Rhodes came out, and all eyes were on him.

"Elle has a grade 3 concussion, some internal bruising around her abdomen, and 4 cracked ribs. She's on some semi strong pain meds which is making her a little loopy as you guys probably noticed. You all can go in and see her, but don't expect her to be completely there. She'll also probably be very tired." As we were all walking into the room I caught Will mumble under his breath,

"She was there enough to yell at me." I'm pretty sure she'd be able to do that no matter what state of mind she was in. It just seemed like that was who she was. Elle got that from mo...no don't do that. Stop comparing her to mom; she's not mom. She doesn't know mom. Severide was the one that went next to her first.

"Hey E, how are…"

"Don't ask how I'm doing. I've been through worse. B'sides the nice doctor, unlike redhead over there, gave me some pretty good drugs." I guess I was right; I think she's gonna keep picking on Will for awhile.

"Alright well how's OFI treating you?" We all looked at Severide like he was insane. Did he seriously think that would be a good question? But Elle just smiled slightly, and laughed softly. Right...he knows her better than us.

"At least I don't have to drive Squad around all day. You guys are unbearable."

"Hey! Madden we're not that bad."

"Tell that to my ears after having to listen to you all argue about what music to put on." It seemed that Sev annoyed her enough so she turned her head away from him (dramatically), and her eyes looked onto me.

"Hi."

"Hey." Elle stared at me for a good couple of minutes before she broke into a fit of giggles. I look at Will, and he just shrugs. I guess high Elle thinks that Will is annoying and I'm funny to look at...I'd prefer to be annoying.

"Your eyes were lighter." Huh...she's still looking at me...looking into my eyes.

"When were my eyes lighter, Elle?" What was she talking about?

"At the pool, and in Intelligence...when I met Adam." Pool...what pool?

"Elle...you and I met at Molly's." She turns towards Adam, and just smiles. Her eyes were slowly closing. She was getting tired.

"I know that silly, but in the dream we met at Intelligence. I was visiting Jay, and his eyes were lighter. Duh." What dream? Was that what she saw when she was in the coma? I wanted to ask more, but when I looked down towards her I saw that she was asleep. We all just slowly walked out of her room to let her rest, and I couldn't stop thinking about one thing. What exactly did she dream about? She mentioned a pool and Intelligence, but would either of those make her react in the way that we saw?
