"Hiromi, what's up?"

Hiromi blinked, and he realized that Oka was looking at him, eyebrow arched and a concerned look on his features. "You alright?"

Straightening himself, Hiromi shook his head and rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh, nothing, it's nothing! I just got distracted, that's all." He laughed nervously, his face red, flustered.

Oka gave him a skeptical look, but then he chuckled. "That's fine, I get distracted at times, too," he said, standing up from his seat and stretched his arms. "The workday can do that."

"Yeah, you're telling me," Hiromi replied, relaxing a little, looking over to survey the flower orders before him. "Sometimes you don't know when that's going to happen."

Oka laughed. "Oh now you're telling me; you're one of the best florists I know. You're great at your job."

Hiromi stilled, and despite himself, couldn't help the grin on his face. "You really think so?"

Their eyes met, and Oka nodded, giving Hiromi a thumbs up. "I know so, and I don't know that any florists."

Hiromi gave Oka a thumbs up right back at him. From that moment, things were different, but in a much better way.
