CHAPTER 1

BAD DAYS

Earth-251.

2022. Two weeks after Louis and Legoshi's wedding.

Louis, Legoshi, Gosha and Leano were out in a grassy field on Gosha's property, with a hole in the ground and a spade headed shovel propped up against a small mound of dirt.

"I thank all of you for being here." said Louis and got quiet for a moment. "I called you here to bear witness. That I may bury my old life and embrace the new." he said and pulled his pistol out of his coat pocket. "This is a symbol to my old life. A life of control, dominance, fear, hatred and misery. I murdered a gang leader with this weapon, just to show them how it feels. Today, the old Louis is officially in the ground." he said and tossed the unloaded pistol into the hole in the ground. He then grabbed the shovel and started shoveling dirt into the hole.

Seven years later...

Louis opened his eyes as the bedside alarm clock began playing I Want to Break Free by Queen. He then kissed the sleeping Legoshi's cheek. Legoshi then smiled as he felt the warm smooch.

"See you at work, babe." said Louis.

"Okay, love you..." Legoshi said, tired.

Louis smirked as he got ready and left. On the streets of Tokyo, he parked his red 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV and got out for breakfast. A hippo that must've been about 17 years old checked out the Diablo as he's passing it.

"That's a nice car, man!" said the hippo.

Louis smirked.

"Thanks." said Louis. "It's actually my husband's."

"Well he's got good taste." said the hippo.

"Yeah, something like that." said Louis. "Take care." he said and walked inside for breakfast.

Back at Louis and Legoshi's house, Legoshi woke up and sat up, shirtless, wearing only white boxers. He took a brief moment before yawning, like a feral wolf, then stood up and rubbed his eyes.

"Toki, what's the weather like?" he asked.

"The forecast calls for overcast, with a 70% chance of rain." said a voice.

"Great." said Legoshi and put his hand on the back of his head. "Do, I have any messages?" he asked as he walked into the restroom to take a shower.

"None at the moment." said Toki.

Inside the restaurant, Louis is eating breakfast when his phone rings. He looks at the caller ID, then answers it.

"Hello?" asked Louis.

"Sorry to bother you, Mr. Louis." said a female voice on the phone.

"It's fine." said Louis. "Speak."

"There's an Ogma on the other line." said the voice on the phone. "Shall I hold the line or tell him you'll call back?"

"Nope." said Louis. "Tell him I'm unavailable. Furthermore, tell that to him every time he calls back."

"Yes sir." said the voice.

"Good day." said Louis.

"Good day, sir." said the voice.

Louis sighs as he hangs up and put the phone for a moment, as he looks out the window.

"Bastard." Louis thought to himself. "Abandon me only until you're greedy enough to attempt a partnership."

He then dialed Legoshi's number and called, but was sent to voicemail.

"Hey, babe." said Louis. "May you get a couple more bottles of champagne for the office and get another coffee on your way to the office? Thank you." he said and sent the voicemail. Louis then got up and left straight for work. He walked through the doors and a polar bear that was employed there greeted him.

"Good morning, Mr. Louis!" he said.

"Good morning, Mr. Frost." said Louis as he got in the elevator. At this point in the building's life, there was a bronze statue in the lobby and a picture of Tem on the back wall of the lobby.

Upon arriving on the top floor and into his office, he sat at his piano, which was to the right of his desk, though the piano was a little closer to the door.

"Ogma can't die soon enough." Louis thought to himself. "He deserves to be in Hell for what he did to me..."

After his shower, Legoshi was nearly dressed, tux and pants on, all except for his tie. Legoshi was looking through the dresser, looking for a tie, moving socks and underwear out of the way, looking, when he came across a white sling, which brought up memories he didn't want...

It was six years earlier. July 3, 2023.

At his grandfather's, in the guesthouse where they stayed, Legoshi and Louis were having sex. Louis was lying on his back while Legoshi was ontop, kissing him as he gently thrusted into Louis.

"Mmm..." Louis moaned.

"Mmm... Louis..." Legoshi moaned.

"Legoshi?" asked Louis.

"What is it, honey?" asked Legoshi and stopped thrusting.

"I... umm..." Louis began. "I want you to bite me..."

"What?" asked Legoshi, scared.

"Please..." said Louis. "It's okay."

"Louis, I don't know..." said Legoshi. "I don't trust myself..."

Louis kissed his cheek before whispering in his ear.

"It's okay, sweetheart..." said Louis.

Legoshi started thrusting once more, kissing Louis passionately before disconnecting and leans down to Louis' right shoulder, hesitating before licking his collarbone.

"Mmm..." Louis moaned.

Legoshi exhaled nervously before clenching his jaws around his collarbone, teeth sinking into his flesh, drawing blood.

"Mmm... Oww..." Louis moaned, then smiled.

As Legoshi went faster, his grip around Louis tightened.
"Ooohhh... ooohhh fuck..." Louis moaned.
Legoshi started really pounding Louis when he bit down harder, Legoshi feeling and hearing a "CRUNCH!" sound.
"OWW! OW! LEGOSHI, STOP!" Louis cried out from the pain. Legoshi then quickly let go of him.
"Oh my gosh!" Legoshi cried. "I'm sorry!"

At the hospital, Louis was sitting with his collarbone bandaged and he was in a white sling, looking down in guilt and sorrow, while Legoshi sat across from him, tears streaming down his face. Louis looked up at Legoshi, without moving his head.
"It's not your fault." said Louis.
"How?" Legoshi cried as he looked up at Louis.
"You didn't trust yourself and I kept pushing you." said Louis.
"I'm still the one that bit you and broke your collarbone." Legoshi cried.
Louis sighed.
"I should've told you this by now, but... I never thought about the possibility of these kinds of things happening to me." said Louis and took a moment. "My birth parents were murdered when I was 3 years old. At about 4 1/2, I was... taken to the black market. For the rest of the time I was there, I would only get food and water if it were on the last day I could survive without it. So... my bones are... underdeveloped... If I weren't handicapped, they wouldn't have broken. I shouldn't have kept this from you and I shouldn't have pushed you."

In the present, Legoshi was in tears, remembering that day.

Back at the office, Louis started playing the piano, with thoughts of Ogma unpleasantly sprinkled throughout his mind and giving him motivation as he sung Ragdoll by Maroon 5.

Louis then got up and sat at his desk. He turned in the computer as he started playing with his pen, bumping the clicker against the desk, making the pen's needle come out and go back in. At about this time, the elevator started moving, pulling up someone from below.

"I hope Legoshi's having a good day." Louis thought. "At least one of us needs to." he thought to himself and got a bottle of champagne and a glass out, then opened the bottle and poured a drink. After taking a drink, he put the glass down and put in his password on the computer, clicking his pen against the desk once more. Legoshi then walked through the door with champagne and two to-go cups of coffee. Despite the day's outcomings, the overcast and the rain that just started, the two being face to face was enough to light up their day and they smiled at each other.

"They have great coffee shops here." said Legoshi.

Louis chuckled.

"Hey, babe." he said as Legoshi puts a cup of coffee on Louis' desk.

"Hey." said Legoshi with a warm smile. "Everything okay so far?"

Louis sighed and drank more champagne.

"Uh-oh." said Legoshi and sat down.

"Ogma called the secretary." said Louis and took a moment to respond. "You know... I almost killed that old bastard the night we started dating again... And as soon as it looks like we have promise, sure, he hates our guts, but he doesn't mind taking money from us."

"Tells you what kind of person he is." said Legoshi.

"My biggest mistake in life was having ever lived by his guidelines." said Louis. "He may have once had control over me, but he will NEVER have control over this company. I refuse."

Legoshi then got up, with Louis following suit closely behind, before they hug.

"How about you?" asked Louis. "What kind of day are you having?"

Legoshi then disconnected from the hug, quiet.

"I saw it today." said Legoshi.

"Legoshi..." Louis began. "Please stop doing that to yourself."

"I try not to..." Legoshi began. "It's hard."

Louis then poured a glass of champagne for Legoshi and hands it to him.

"Thank you." said Legoshi and took a drink.
