So Peeps, while I initially believed the last chapter would be the last one for a while until I got the Final Book The World Guide which most likely I wouldn't have until this Christmas, I realized Summer is usually the time I think about nature and ecology (As opposed to Fall and Winter, the 'Cozy Times' when I think about civilization even if the characters in the story doing civilized things are Anthro Animals) and since I speak to the creators of Shard semi-regularly on the game's forum I have special insight into the backstory of Dardunah you wouldn't know just by reading the book. So…What the creators told me is that before the Janah came to Dardunah they…The Animals who would become the Devah were Animals in a Menagerie Spaceship this was far in the future where Humans had conquered many planets and most animals had been extinct and brought back by genetic recreation that's right most of those animals were clones, cared for by an Elderly Couple Great Father was of Indian Descent and Great Mother Chinese Descent hence why the Culture of Dardunah resembles Near Middle and Far East the Genetic Memories they inherited from Great Mother and Father…I could go on but don't want to make this introductory note half a page, more may be revealed later

All Leo and Mikey did for Chanchalla was take off her shoes before tucking her into Mikey's bed. She seemed to become extremely peaceful as they did so…An almost blissful expression on her face as she slept.

"It's weird…" Mikey said "…Didn't she say she couldn't do any magic in this universe?"

Leo shrugged "Who can say for now?" He said "Maybe her desperation caused her to dig in deep…Or maybe the Devah let her have the ability to heal you…She did say her magic is incredibly ritual based with the…Sir'hibas…"(Leo still struggled to get the pronunciation right) "…Going into a trance with their soul entering the Dream Dimension…If I'm remembering that right…I think Challa was saying she couldn't do the initial step of getting into that trance…There didn't seem to be any ritual in what she did for you just instant healing…Maybe when she wakes up she'll be able to explain how she did it."

In that moment, Challa was feeling the feeling of rising and falling, rising and falling…Like…Like there was water beneath her…In her dream she opened her eyes and found instead of the Desert with the pitch black sky she was in a boat…An Egyptian style Barque, floating down an rainbow river of swirling colors! Above was the every shifting colored Auras of The Dream!

Challa placed her hands over her mouth. "The Dream!" She gasped

Samtra materialized in the seat in front of her "A Dream of The Dream." The Serpent said "Krilahrah saw and heard everything that happened when you got captured."

Immediately Challa feared she might be in trouble, that she might have told the Humans too much, but Samtra anticipated this "No need to fear…" She said "…The Devah are actually quite pleased with you…You conducted yourself most honorably in that situation and really we're not in any danger from these humans anymore we can be a danger to them…What you told those humans is no harm to us…Of course that brings me to what the Devah sent me to tell you as you are now ready to hear it…"

Challa's ears perked up and she felt a shiver go down her spine, she already knew that Samtra had to hold back the knowledge that her Father was the one who stabbed her to not break her heart…So what horrors could be waiting now?

"The Humans of this world are not any danger to us…Yet anyway…" Samtra said "…Simply because they're machines are not yet advanced enough not have they rediscovered magic by and large, only a small few have rediscovered magic and they keep that secret close to their chests…But there are many worlds…Challa and many of those worlds have Humans…The Devah have told me, they originally came from one of those worlds, though they do not remember which one…And yes…Great Mother and Father were originally Humans before they parted the veils of Heaven and brought us to Dardunah…That they said to me after you showed me the images of Janah creatures walking on all fours like Suthra…"

Samtra sighed and stared at the swirled auroras above. "The Devah have told me so many things…I will no longer remember any of them when I have completed my task and sent to my next life perhaps in one of my next lives I will be a Sir'hibas again and my memories of these truths could be regained…But I fear I may be destined for the life a peasant if not an outcaste for my previous cold and haughty ways…But it is vital Challa that you live and know these truths because…The Devourer."

Challa felt shivers creep all over her….As a Young Lamb she would read the tale of the Journey Chant and she would be both fascinated and terrified by the Flight from the Devourer and being so great and terrible that Great Mother and Father could not defeat it only flee from it, and that the Janah were given their many forms, from the Furred Vajrah to the Feathered Paksin to the Scaled Sarpah to hide them from the Devourer but that lay the question…Would it work forever? Would the Devourer eventually learn to see through the disguises? When she asked this question of her family the mere idea of this possibility caused the fur to rise on the backs of everyone's necks and they would quickly say "Don't say such things Don't EVER say such things!" As if the mere suggestion could give the Devourer that power.

"When Great Mother and Father parted the veils of Heaven." Samtra said "The Devourer…Got partially trapped…Been stuck there for our ten thousand years of history…But some Janah…" Samtra began to get very huffy "One of them is that Prince I was to be married to before I was murdered! Have entered a pact with the Devourer! They believe him to simply be a Grand Demon and they wish to bring him forth to conquer all of Dardunah!"

Challa shivered and for a moment could only bleat in terror. Then she realized something "The Prince you were to be married off to…" She said "…Are they all Sarpah or are they different…"

"The Devah can see all on Dardunah…" Samtra huffed "…And they can see they are all Sarpah Sorcerer Princes…Mostly Serpents…" Samtra placed her face in her hands "…They bring Dishonor to Good Sarpah everywhere!" She lifted her face from her hands "That is why Great Mother and Father answered your prayer and sent you to this world…They saw the opportunity to stop this conspiracy before it is too late and the Devourer is brought to Dardunah!"

"What am I supposed to do?" Challa asked

"I don't know!" Samtra exclaimed "You were sent to this place so this place is where you'll find what it is you need!"

So this is the Grand Quest…Which really should have its own separate story there will probably be a few more chapters about how Challa and the Turtles get to Dardunah after that it's the next story which I really want the World Guide for that reason
