(Silver's POV)
I made it back to 2021 and it seems that Paris still looks the same since Iblis is not awaken in the time era yet. Okay, Silver. Future Shadow, we'll, father, said that I defeated Iblis by stabbing him in the heart. And he also said he's hidden in the catacombs. Don't tell Past Shadow that I'm his biological son but I gotta make sure that Shadow stays alive because if he dies, I disappear like I was never born.
"SILVER!" Blaze tackled me like a cat pouncing on its prey.
"Agh! Watch the wings!" I groaned from the impact.
"Where have you been?! You disappeared for 5 days!" Blaze said she hugged me.
That long? I was gone for 5 days. Time and space sure have ways of speeding up things when you mess with time traveling.
"I'm sorry Blaze," I replied.
"Don't ever scare me like that again!" Blaze was dead serious about how scared she was.
"I promise Blaze. But I got to stop Iblis in this timeline too. You coming?" I said.
"How are you gonna find him?" Blaze asked.
"Then we better hurry before the fire starts there like 2019!" Blaze said.
"We gotta find where the catacombs are in the church. It's like going deep down to Hell." I said.
"Okay then." Blaze nodded.
We used the rings and went back to 2019 just before the fire in Notre Dame started. Future Shadow was right. This was no accident; it was Iblis himself that caused it. Either to destroy the house of God or to just get free. We looked around for a secret passage that leads us to the catacombs filled with dead skeletons and rats.
"I hope our 2021 friends don't get worried." Blaze said.
"They'll be fine but I hope one of our hedgehog friends doesn't die because one of them is my…." I paused to not say it, "My ancestor"
"Alright. But now to get to him." Blaze opened the hatch to the catacombs.
"I just hope it doesn't smell like death because nobody likes death nor be dead." I said as I tried to get in, my wings couldn't get through, "Argh! Come on!" I growled and tried to conceal them tight to squeeze through. I folded them close so I finally came through.
"You okay?" Blaze asked.
"I'm okay," I replied.
We came into sewage water filled with dead skeletons which could mean the catacombs. It sure is dark down here but my halo ring above my head gives a good glow like a night light. It seems to be all quiet but dangers can lurk anywhere.
"I hate rats enjoying the sewers and dead skeletons as their chew toys." I was not used to this as I saw rats squeaking around.
"Good thing I don't eat them." Blaze said.
"You might wanna eat them before they bite us one by one," I said, though hoping one day she has feline instincts the same way I have hedgehog instincts to curl into a ball.
"Ha ha ha." Blaze laughed sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes and ignored the rats annoying the hell out of me. We came across an ancient old door that leads to the underworld or possibly to Hell. I sure hope the living is permitted.
"I don't like this, Blaze. If this is the gateway to Hell, it's like being back at the Hellish apocalypse." I hesitated at what's behind that door.
"Let's find out." She pulled the handles and opened the gates and there was one Hell itself.
"Oh god." I saw flames and magma all around, especially the skeletons that look alive drowning in the pits of lava screaming in agony. Must be the evil souls that went straight to Hell are now getting punished and tortured for all eternity.
"God it's like a prison of literally getting tortured to death." Blaze was horrified as I was.
"That's what bad people get when they do sinful deeds or their heart is not innocent," I said.
"Yes, no doubt Eggman will end here." Blaze said.
"Yes." I nodded as we walked.
Since she and I are alive, the lava is real and it's making us sweat too fast because there's no cool air around here. Lava is just like my nightmares in my apocalyptic era.
"Demons are lurking around. They could be anywhere to burn us alive" Blaze said.
"Thank god I can scare them because they fear angels." I held out my sword.
Two huge demons came right at us but I flew at them and with my sword, I sliced them into bits. Blaze fended off a few of them using her fire power. She's gonna need my help and the Hell realm is immune to fire.
"Hold on!" I flew down and decapitated the demons.
"Thanks." She said.
"So you have come here to fight, mortals?!" came Iblis's voice.
"Iblis!" I shouted in rage.
"You here to stop me? Well too late! I got a cathedral to destroy!" Iblis said.
"That cathedral belongs to the house of God and you're no God!" I glared at where ever he is.
"I shall become one once he falls!" Iblis spoke again.
"Satan was once an angel but he turned bad and God had to banish him! Just like he did to you!" I said, looking around.
"Well, this time I'll banish you!" He appeared from a lava pit.
"AGH!" I got touched by a blob of lava but luckily my arm didn't melt.
He's trying to make a copy of my body to take the form of my body shape just like his future self did to me.
"And you don't stand a chance against the power of evil!" He said in a demonic voice.
I held my arm from the pain, "You're no match against an angel, coward!" I flew at him and clashed my sword against his weapon.
"We shall see!" Iblis drew his blade and almost cut my wings.
"I am alive but angels are much superior to your kind!" I said, angry that he tried to cut off my wings.
"The world will be covered in fire and lava, child!" Iblis yelled.
"Not today!" I stuck my sword at him.
Iblis got a cut on his leg but he stood up and tries to slash at me again.
I jumped out of the way but managed to stay on the edge from falling in the lava of souls.
"Hold on Silver!" Blaze grabbed a fallen demon's weapon.
"Not so fast!" Iblis saw her.
Blaze got out of the way as I got up picking my sword up.
"Let's see if my dogs like chasing felines like you!" Iblis laughed and summoned the hellhounds to deal with Blaze.
"Stay back!" Blaze turns into a flame projectile to tackle down some of them.
"Blaze!" I didn't know what to do.
"I'll handle them! Just kick that demon's ass!" Blaze said while dealing with the hellhounds.
"Right! Let's do it!" I said and my sword glowed.
"Your angel form does not scare me, child! You're not even dead like them!" Iblis clashed his sword against mine.
"I don't need to scare you!" I grunted and pushed him back.
"I'll burn you straight to my world!" Iblis burned my chest which made me scream in pain.
"Agh!" I ignored the burn as best as I can before I lost focus, "Over my dead body, demon!" I glared and we fought intensely.
We fought on a crumbling bridge until we resorted to fighting while flying.
I flipped over and we clashed our blades faster. I kicked Iblis back but he regained his footing and resumed the fight. We got inside a ruin yet the fight remained intense. Suddenly Iblis grabbed me by the throat and tried to force my blade against my head, only to me to hurl him over and pinned him down while he blocked with his sword.
"Submit!" I demanded.
"You first, angel boy!" Iblis kicked me off.
I landed on my feet as he came right at me and we clashed our weapons again. The fight continued just above a lava river. He threw me back and approaches to grab my wrist as a stream of lava erupted nearby. I broke free from his grasp while nearing another bridge. More lava spewed out and landed on the bridge causing it to melt. We flew into the sky and fought there instead.
"Your Hell land is very torturing!" I clashed my sword against his.
"Well, you die here!" Iblis shouted.
"I'm not gonna die and become a devil like you!" I yelled and fought him more aggressively and he tried to keep it up with me. I managed to slice one of his devil horns off.
"AAAAAGH!" He screamed in pain as lava oozed from there.
"It seems like I gave you a haircut" I taunted him.
"You won't be joking around once I have your soul!" Iblis yelled and sliced at the feathers on my right-wing.
"AGH!" I screamed but I was still flapping fine, just lost a few feathers on my wings, "Jealous I have feathers on my wings, devil bat?!" I pushed him back.
"This is where it ends!" He charged his sword with hellfire.
"No, this is where you'll end!" My sword lights up with white light like heaven.
We flew at each other and in one clash a bright light was made. We stopped at the opposite end looking back. I looked and saw Iblis turn around with a wound on his chest. My sword is not a mortal weapon because it's made of an immortal weapon to kill immortals like him.
I also had a burn mark on my rib area but I ignored it. These wounds on me make me feel like I am mortally wounded when I'm an angel.
"Give it up boy! You're still mortal!" Iblis flew to me.
"And you are...A DAMNED SOUL!" I raised my blade and flew at him too.
We both clashed our swords intensely and glared at each other, "So young and scrawny. Why would that wretched God make you worthy?!" Iblis yelled.
"My heart is pure unlike yours!" I replied.
He kicked me down on the bridge where the lava pit is and clutched my neck, "No one is pure. You're just a scared little boy. No father, no mother, no family!"
"He has friends!" Out of nowhere, Blaze chopped Iblis' arm that was strangling me.
"AAAAAGH!" Iblis fell with a scream after losing his arm.
I removed the severed arm off my neck and panted too hard.
"You okay Silver?" Blaze got up to me.
"Yeah" I coughed.
"You think you won?!" Iblis regrew an arm.
Shit! I forgot that demons are undead and can regenerate like a battery. I gotta strike his heart to end him but I can't with all this lava going around. Looks like I'll have to bring him to the 2021 timeline with the help of my friends. I just hope I didn't change anything in 2019 because it will alter 2021.
"You want me?! Come and get me!" I opened a portal to Paris.
"What are you doing?!" Blaze asked.
"The bat wings chasing the bird wings!" I smirked and grabbed Blaze as we jumped through that portal to Paris 2021.
"The angel bird is playing chicken!" Iblis flies after us.
"That's funny because chickens can't fly but this chicken can!" I laughed and put Blaze down so that I can deal with Iblis while flying around all over Paris.
"That's enough!" Iblis trying to catch up to me.
"What's the matter, Iblis? Your batty wings failing you? It seems I'm way much faster than you!" I taunted him.
"SHUT UP!" Iblis yelled and kept chasing me.
I spotted pigeons flying and I made a pigeon coo sound to get their attention to attack Iblis in midair.
"What?! HEY!" Iblis got attacked by a pack of pigeons.
"Pigeons like statues with devil wings!" I laughed.
