Amy has grown strong in the ways of
the Force.
Now, after several harrowing adventures
alongside her Master, the two Shinobi have
returned to the Temple on Mobotropolis to
receive their next mission...
Shadow and Amy were in the Council room "Welcome, Amy. Congratulations are in order. You have shown great strength and courage yet again" Blaze told her, "A job well done" Rob added. Amy bowed her head thankfully. Espio sat up in his chair "Now on to more pressing matters. Shadow, you must go balath. There's a large civil war building there. They've requested our assistance". Shadow nodded and Amy smiled "I've never been to Balath" "You will stay here, young one. We need your full report" Merlin told her which made her disappointed "As you wish".
The two hedgehogs were walking towards the shuttled "Amy, I sense you're uneasy. What is it?" Shadow asked her. "Oh, nothing. I… Master, let me come with you. Who else will have your back?", Shadow stopped and turned to her "Stay here, finish your studies and get some rest". "You've said it yourself; I learn more in the field then I ever do here", Shadow smirked "Well think of this as a chance to prove me wrong". He got on the shuttle and it took off leaving Amy alone "Stay out of trouble!" Shadow yelled at her.
That night Amy was sleeping in her room. She dreamt of being in a swamp like area, but she kept feeling like something was behind her. She turned around and saw Nicolette in front of her. The weasel grabbed her by the throat and smirked "She'll die and there's nothing you can do to stop it". Amy woke up in shock, she sat up and breathed slowly to calm down.
Amy entered the meditation room where Blaze was waiting "Have a seat, young one". The two sat down opposite each other "You are troubled?" "Yes, Master. I've been having dreams…or visons. I don't know but they're so real". Blaze nodded "Premonitions. They're trying to tell you something". Amy sighed "I know I reported other wise but I believe Nicolette the weasel is still alive. I believe she's planning to kill someone close to me". Blaze turned very serious "You see the true power of the Force. You mustn't underestimate them. Mediate, you have to see these visions clearly", Amy nodded.
It was late at night; Amy was in the library continuing her studies when Vanilla came over with a drink and made a shushing gesture "Don't tell the younglings" she joked. Amy nodded and looked through more information until she fell asleep. She was suddenly running through a corridor; she then saw a sniper and then Tikal "Kill her" "With pleasure". A blaster shot suddenly woke her Amy up "Senator Tikal".
The next morning Tikal was in her apartment with Orbot, Remington then entered with Amy "Milady, Amy Rose is here to see you". Amy bowed her head "Senator Tikal", Tikal went up and happily hugged her "Amy, it's good to see you. How have you been?". Amy looked troubled "Honestly, I've been better. I'm worried for you, Senator. I believe you're in grave danger". "What makes you say that?" Tikal asked concerned, "I've been having dreams or visions. Tikal, I know you're in danger. I just know it" Amy sounded incredibly worried. Remington walked up to her "What kind of trouble?" "I believe a very dangerous bounty hunter is out to assassinate you". Tikal sighed "This is troubling. Captain, please take all necessary precautions". Amy was surprised how calm she was "You're leaving?" "Yes, Wynmacher and I are leading a conference concerning refugees from the war. I leave for Echidnaopolis tomorrow morning". Amy eyes opened wide "But the threat on your life" "Amy, the refugee situation is much too crucial to ignore. I called this conference. It could make an enormous difference in policy. It's vital that I go". Amy was about to say something but then stopped "Yes, Senator".
Amy was back in the meditation room talking to Blaze "I'm sure now that it's Senator Tikal who is in danger" "Senator Tikal?... You must choose how to move forward with this information. But remember the future is always in motion. What you've seen is only one of many possibilities" "Yes, Master".
Tikal, Captain Remington and Orbot were about to board and Albion cruiser when "Senator!" they turned and saw Amy "Amy, what is it?" Tikal asked her. "I couldn't stay behind knowing about the threat to your life. Allow me to come with you, please?… For my benefit more than anything" she joked. Tikal sniggered and put her arm around Amy "I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Besides, I enjoy your company. Of course you can join me. You can be extra security" she looked to Remington who had no objections.
Later on the ship the two of them were playing a holo-board game, Tikal manged to kill one of Amy's soldiers. Amy suddenly stops playing and curled up in her chair. Tikal looked at her concerned "Come on, you're not that bad" she joked but Amy didn't say anything "Are you alright?". Amy sighed "It's just I'm in a critical part of my training. My abilities with the Force are beginning to grow and it's becoming… overwhelming. I don't even have my Master here to guide me". Tikal moved next to her "You know, when I was queen I felt the same things you feel now. I had to run the entire Albion government and it was terrifying. I had to learn to trust in myself". Amy stayed silent but then smirked "I bet having a palace helped a bit too". Tikal raised her eyebrows then sighed in amusement "You're so much like your Master it's terrifying". Amy sniggered "Thanks for the advice. One more game?" "Absolutely".
Amy was in her quarters sleeping but she then saw Nicolette standing over her "It's begun" she said sinisterly. Amy woke up "Tikal!" she ran out towards Tikal's room. She went past the guard and rushed in before igniting her lightsaber and standing in front of Tikal's bed. She woke up "Amy? What is it" "Stay down!" Amy looed around the room. Remington came in "What's going on?" the lights turned on and Amy saw there was no one else in the room. "Nothing. False alarm. I'm… I'm sorry" she walked out looking disappointed in herself. Remington went up to Tikal "Are you alright, Milady?" "Yes, Captain. I'm fine" Tikal said sounding more concerned about Amy.
The shuttle entered Echidnaopolis atmosphere and landed on a platform where Wynmacher and Cosmo were waiting. Tikal exited and was happy to see them "Thank you so much for hosting the conference. Helping the refugees needs to be our number one priority", Wynmacher nodded "Absolutely. Your presence here is greatly appreciated. Come, Senator Cosmo and I will take you to your quarters". Amy followed them and as Tikal and the others entered a room Amy sat down outside the door and began to meditate. She saw Tikal speaking to a small crowd right before getting shot in the chest. She opened her eyes and realised people were looking at her. She entered the room with Remington "Senator, may I have a word with you in private?" "Of course, Commander Rose. If you'll excuse me" she said to Wynmacher and Cosmo. She went over to Amy who looked guilty "I know I made a mistake last night but that doesn't mean the threat to you is any less". Tikal smiled "I haven't lost faith in you, Amy" "I know. I appreciate that". Remington stepped forward "I don't mean to interrupt but now is not the time for this. Senator Tikal must prepare for summit" "But i believe the attempt on your life is going to happen tonight" "Why tonight?" Tikal asked. "I had another vision, and it was much clearer. I saw you in a large room giving a speech". Remington turned to her "Could you recognise this room if you saw it?" "Yes, I think I could".
They entered the same room Amy saw in her vison, but it was empty "This is it" "Do you know where the assassin was?" Remington asked. Amy shook her head "No. I'm still not sure of that yet". "We are taking all necessary precautions, right Captain?" "Yes, Milady". This didn't help Amy "Nicolette will find a way in". Tikal suddenly realised something "Amy, in your vision does Nicolette succeed?" "I… I don't know". Tikal nodded "Well at least we have a fighting chance".
The next day in the same room Wynmacher, Cosmo and Tikal were sitting at a table in front of a crowd. Wynmacher stood up "As the conflict that divides our galaxy escalates, we cannot lose perspective on the value of life and the price of freedom. No one knows this truth more the distinguished Senator Tikal of Albion". Tikal stood up "Thank you Senator Wynmacher" Tikal began her speech. Amy was looking around room suspiciously as Tikal continued "I wanted to first thank you all for coming. This is a cause that is very important to me. I can remember, after the illegal blockade of my home world Albion by the Eggman Empire, how many lives were thrown into chaos. True, in the grand scale of things, it was a small conflict". Amy began to feel a presence in the Force directed in a certain spot but she didn't say anything.
"And true, there was only one battle fought during the occupation, but let us examine the cost of that one conflict. Hundreds of Albion citizens were forced from their homes, Albion security forces and the Meropis army both incurred heavy casualties". Amy then realized it was coming from a viewing area above the crowd. She started running as Tikal continued "And the life of Shinobi Master Maria Kintobor was lost. And yet, now I find myself a party to and witness of a full-scale war that has divided our great Republic in two". Amy made it to the top and saw Nicolette holding a sniper that was pointing directly at Tikal. She used the Force to push her away but "Already more than 100 Shinobi have..." she fired a single shot hitting Tikal in the shoulder. The crowd gasped in surprise as Nicolette shot at Amy. Nicolette ran as Amy was distracted and she chased after her. Nicolette ran a corner and once Amy reached it she couldn't see which way she went losing her. In the room Wynmacher was kneeling next to Tikal's body "Get a medical bot! We need a medic!"
Amy was pacing outside Tikal's quarters wen a medical bot walked out "The Senator will be fine. It was only a flesh wound". She ran inside and saw that Tikal was lying on her bed with here left arm in a sling, Wynmacher was standing over her. Amy looked really guilty "Tikal, I'm sorry" "For what? You did all you could" she said reassuringly. Wynmacher turned to her "Did you find the assassin?" "She ran off before I could get her. Tikal, please return to Mobotropolis, immediately. For your own safety" she begged. Wynmacher sighed "Tikal, I agree. It's far too dangerous for you to give your speech tonight" "If they want me dead, they'll follow me. I might as well stay here". Wynmacher shook his head "Tikal, I'm not willing to gamble with your life", Amy's eyes opened wide "Maybe you don't have to".
Later Wynmacher and Amy re-entered the room with a cloaked Tikal. The Senators sat at the table while Amy stood next to Remington. Tikal stood up "Fear: In these times it is the greatest weapon wielded against those who would stand up for truth and justice". Amy drowned all the noise out and scanned the area, but she couldn't see anything "Nicolette's not here". She looked over to Tikal who was actually a robot speaking to the crowd. She realised where Nicolette must be. She rushed out of the room and down the corridors with Remington and more guards following. She ran into a room where Tikal was speaking into a commlink. Amy jumped behind her and deflected a blast that came from a vent and then used the Force to pull Nicolette out of it. She stood up and recognised Amy "You!" she shot the door causing it to close before Remington could get in. "You left me for dead. Lucky Manic pulled me out of the wreckage". "Stand down!" Amy said staying between her and Tikal who instead of looking scared was more confused. "Why are you doing this? Killing me won't stop the relief effort", Nicolette chuckled "This isn't about your cause. My employer said it was personal. Simple as that". Tikal slowly took out her pistol, "Who hired you?" Amy asked. "Doesn't matter. Let's see what you're made of kid" she started firing at such a rate Amy couldn't deflect and was shot in the arm. She gasped in pain and fell to the ground, but Nicolette then saw Tikal pointing her pistol at her "No!". Tikal shot her with a stun blast knocking her out. "Amy, are you alright?" she kneeled down but Amy smiled "Nice shot", Remington and the guards then entered.
The Albion shuttle landed on a platform at the Shinobi Temple where Shadow and Blaze were waiting. Nicolette was taken inside the temple while Amy and Tikal met with the two Shinobi. "Are you alright?" Shadow asked Tikal, "Yes, thanks to Amy". Blaze smiled "Your visions have served you well, young one" "Thank you, Master Blaze. But we still don't know who's really behind this". Blaze just stared at her which made Amy realize what she has to do, she closed her eyes and concentrated "I see… horns, an ascot. There's laughter… bizarre laughter and I see a colour… purple. I don't know what it means. None of it is familiar to me". Tikal turned to Shadow "It is to me".
Inside a large cylindrical prison with shielded cells lining the walls, Shadow and Amy were taken to one which held Mike the Ox. The shield deactivated and the two hedgehogs entered. Mike looked at them "Oh, you must be Shadow the Hedgehog?", he nodded "Have you met my apprentice, Amy Rose?". Amy smiled condescendingly "I believe you have a grudge against Senator Tikal", Mike acted innocent "And what makes you say something so utterly ridiculous, youngling?" he said mockingly. "Because she's the reason you're in here. The bounty hunter Nicolette the Weasel tried to kill the Senator. I believe you hired her for the job". He shook his head "I would do no such thing" "Well we have Nicolette in custody. She told us everything". Shadow glanced at her with pride as Mike started to panic "She told you what? That treacherous little… oh no". Amy smirked "You just won more time in this lovely establishment. Have fun" they walked out as Mike angrily started yelling. "No! You won't get away with this. You have no idea what I'm capable of!".
