With the death of their leader Lara-Su,
and separated from her friends, we find
Amy on the run as the hunters close
in around her...
Amy ran for her life through the forest, she could hear the hunters getting closer behind her. She hid underneath a large branch and waited. She could hear one of the hunters standing nearby trying to sniff her out. She then heard the speeder arrive "Where is she!?" "This one was faster than most. I've lost the scent" "She can't hide forever. I'll have her hide and nail it to the wall for what she did to Falke". She waited and heard the speeder fly away.
Chris and Danny were back in the tree waiting when they saw Amy entered "You made it" "We thought you were...". Amy didn't say anything, "Where's Lara?" Chris asked. Amy didn't look at them "She didn't make it". Danny took a step closer to her "She's dead? She… she'd been here longer than any of us". Chris fell back against the wall "We're all going to die here. It's only a matter of time". Amy suddenly looked determined "Then I say we go down with a fight". Danny scoffed "That's suicide" "You said that every few days they release new prisoners on the beach. I say we attack the ship head-on. They'll never expect it". Chris sighed "Is it worth a shot?" "Maybe it is" Danny answered.
They waited at the edge of a forest and saw lights coming through the clouds "Get ready. We'll have to be swift". The ship was now in sight and it descended to the beach "Now!". They ran out as the ship got closer to the ground. They jumped up and landed on the roof of the ship's cockpit. One of the pilots saw them and ran out to a hatch. He climbed out onto the roof, but Chris and Danny kicked him down and pinned him. Amy ran inside as the pilot threw Chris and Danny off and fought them. Chris tried to tackle him, but he caught him by the throat and pushed against the metal. Amy went for the pilot who fired on her, but she dodged it and tackled him against the control console causing the ship to tilt. This caused the guard to fall back releasing Chris and Danny from the guard's grip. They worked together and quickly pushed him off the ship. Amy used the Force on the pilot knocking him through the ship's window. She tried to get control of the ship, but it started spinning out of control. Danny jumped on the roof "It's too late. Get out of there!" "We can't leave the prisoners!" "Hit the release!". Amy pressed a button on the console releasing the prisoners before she jumped out of the ship and the three of them landed on the beach. The ship crashed into the water "Well, I guess we won't be escaping on that ship" Chris said. They suddenly heard metallic screeching coming from the ship "What was that?" "A survivor". They ran over to the wreckage and saw a large piece of debris being lifted up "I think it's one of the prisoners". It was thrown aside, and they saw a green scaly creature wearing a golden chain around his neck and a pair of headphones "It's a crocodile" Amy said in amazement.
The next morning Max and the other hunters were looking over the wreckage "Ah, it's the younglings that did this. They're getting bold" an eagle said. Max didn't look concerned "What about survivors?" "Both our men were killed, there was only one prisoner, a crocodile from Downunda. And he's missing" "So… now the younglings are organised, bold and they've got a Downunda crocodile".
They were back in the tree sitting around the fire with the crocodile "My name is Vector" "Does anyone know you were taken?" Chris asked. Vector shook his head "No. My planet's close though" "Might as well be in the next galaxy as far as I'm concerned. We've got no ship" Danny said frustrated. Vector grinned "Yeah but I can contact my planet. All I need is a way to transmit a signal" "And how do we do that? We don't exactly have a transmitter lying around". Vector rolled his eyes "Amateurs. There's a whole goldmine of equipment in that mess you made on the beach". Amy and Chris smiled and glanced at Danny who sighed "Fine/ We'll do it his way"
The four of them were sneaking through the forest "Vector and I will go out to inspect the crash site. You two stay here and signal us if you see anything". Amy and Vector cautiously walked onto the beach but once they entered the heard a speeder "Hide. It's a patrol". They went against the walls to avoid the light. The speeder stopped near a large tree branch "Happy hunting". A cheetah jumped out before the speeder left and he lied down on the branch with his rifle out. He didn't notice that Chris and Danny were underneath the tree. Amy and Vector got deeper into the ship "Hopefully that patrol won't be back for a while. What're you looking for?". Vector pulled a device out of the wall and handed it to Amy before going over to a control console. "Still feeling optimistic about making a transmitter out of all this junk?" "Could never show my face back home if I couldn't". He tore out another large piece "Let's go". Once they got outside the sniper fired at them, but Chris and Danny jumped up and fought him. The cheetah managed to throw them off and pulled out a knife "I'll gut you, whelp!" he stepped on Danny's chest stopping him from standing. He was about to kill him, but Vector suddenly appeared and grabbed his arm. He crushed it making him drop the knife and then grabbed his throat. Danny stood up "Wait, we should take him prisoner" "He's right. Let him go, Vector" Amy said. Vector sighed in disappointment and pushed the cheetah back. He turned him around and led him away.
They were back in the tree with the cheetah's wrists restrained. Amy was standing next to Vector who was working on the transmitter "Is it working okay?" "I think so" he activated it and it send out a signal before the dish suddenly sparked and it turned off "I'm gonna need more time". Danny looked impatient "We've got a prisoner. We should be using him to out advantage while we have a chance" "I thought the prisoner was the backup plan" "It's clear enough that we cannot rely on that device". Vector turned and glared at him "Hey!" "No offence but we just can't sit here any longer". Chris nodded "He's right. We have to act while we have an advantage". Amy stared at them "Let's say we do it your way. What's the plan?" "We can use the prisoner to trick the enemy into flying one of their pods down to us then we hijack the pod, fly up to their base, and take them by surprise". Chris nodded in agreement "We have to try. I believe it can work" "You do what you want. But me and Chris are leaving with the prisoner in the morning". They both walked away, and Amy turned to Vector "Their hearts are in the right place. You know I can't let them go alone" "Have fun" Vector said dismissively. "We're not going to be able to do this without you. We need your help". Vector stopped and stared at her "You think it'll work" "Who's knows. Maybe our luck's about to change".
The next morning, they brought the cheetah back to the wreckage "We better get started" "Right, time to call your friends" "I'm not helping you, whelp". Amy smiled "Vector, we need him at eye level, please". Vector forced the cheetah on his knees and Danny waved his hand "You will listen to me" "Haha. No, I won't". Vector punched him over the back of the head and Danny tried again "You will listen to me" "I will listen to you" "You were our captive, but now you've escaped". The cheetah paused and then "I was your captive, but now I've escaped" "You need to call a speeder to pick you up" "I need to call a speeder to pick me up". Danny released the restrains on the cheetah's wrists and he got on his commlink "Smug? Where have you been?" "I need a speeder to pick me up".
They waited in the forests as Smug was on the beach waiting for a speeder. On eventually arrived. The speeder landed "Get in. Let's go" the shark driver said. Amy suddenly jumped out of the forest and knocked the shark off the speeder. Danny ran out and punched Smug out cold before he was broken out of his trance. The shark was about to fight Amy, but Vector then appeared behind him and punched him in the stomach before he threw him into a tree. Chris ran over to the speeder and stopped it from crashing "Want a lift?".
The speeder flew up to the front of the hunter's ship where they were spotted by two. Vector quickly jumped down and threw the both of them off the ship looking very proud of himself. Max ran out onto a balcony "Kill them! Kill them! I want their skins!". Chris flew away with the speeder while Vector turned over another one to use for cover. Amy and Danny saw one of the hunters going for another speeder "Hey, let's give him a lift" they quickly threw him off with the Force. Chris made a pass and shot at the hunters forcing them to retreat. Max got on a turret and fired on the speeder. Vector ran out and fought a bear while Amy and Danny tried to take down a lion. Max managed to shoot down Chris' speeder and he crashed forcing Amy and the others to jump out of the way. The hunters took advantage of the distraction and stood over them holding blasters. Max laughed "A valiant effort, little younglings, especially you, hedgehog. You will be a prized trophy in my collection". Suddenly Vector heard an engine and looked up. A ship that Amy recognised flew down and inside were group of warriors being led by a white female Koala "Hey, Vec!".
Vector grinned and Amy heard a familiar voice inside "Make it quick, General. We're charging by the minute. And if my ship get's damaged, it'll cost you extra!" Blade the Shark told the Downunda soldiers. Barby jumped down with the others and fought back the hunters. Barby helped Vector fight the bear until they managed to throw him off the ship. Vector grinned and turned to Barby "What, did you guys miss me!" "No, just wanted you to live with the knowledge you got caught". Amy saw Max run back inside "Vector, can you get me up there?". Vector nodded and gave Amy boost with her jump and she landed on the balcony. She ran inside the trophy room which was now dark. She cautiously walked across the room when she sensed something behind her. She jumped out of the way just before Max landed and swung an axe where her head was. Amy tried to push him back with the Force, but his hands clawed into the floor keeping him where he was. He leaped forward and threw her against a metal wall. He took out a knife and tried to put it through her eye, but Amy just stopped him. She kicked him back, but he grabbed her by the throat. Amy kicked him in the chest allowing her to jump back, but he took out a blaster and fired on her. She jumped up dodging it and kicked him to the ground "You're beaten" "You murdered my son. You're going to pay" "Your son died because of your own actions, not mine" Amy replied coldly. Max glanced at his blaster "Don't!" Max didn't listen and made a grab for it. Amy used the Force to throw him out of the trophy room and off the balcony. She ran out and saw Max lying on the floor dead with Vector and the others standing around it "We done here?".
Blade's ship was on a platform with her speaking to Blaze and Merlin. Rob and Shadow arrived with the latter saw Amy speaking with Vector "Amy!". Amy smiled and walked over to them "It's good to see you safe" Rob said calmly. Shadow's face dropped "Amy, I'm so sorry" "For what?" "For letting you go, for letting you get taken. It was my fault". Amy shook her head "No, Master, it wasn't your fault" "I should have paid more attention. I should have tried harder… I". Amy smiled "You already did everything you could, everything you had to do. When I was out there, alone, all I had was your training and the lessons you taught me. And because of you, I did survive. And not only that, but I was also able to lead others to survive as well". Shadow looked proud "I don't know what to say" "I do". Amy bowed her head "Thank you, Master", Shadow then bowed his "You're welcome, my apprentice". Blade took the Downunda warriors back on her ship to head home. Shadow and Amy both went back inside the Temple. Blaze watched them and smiled.
