important negotiations...
Liza sat on her throne with Cosmo, Wynmacher and Tikal sitting on one side of the room facing three Separatist Senators. Amy was standing g next Amy as her guard. "The Republic recognises the tragedy of war, but there is nothing we can change that has already occurred" Tikal said. A female snake senator leaned forward in her chair "Say it aloud before this gathering, as representative for Chancellor Solaris, that you declare without reservation, the Separatists state legitimate". "I have something to say about the legitimacy of the Separatists". They all turned to the entrance and saw Cyrus the Lion enter the throne room. Amy leaned close to Tikal "You didn't tell me Cyrus would be here" "I didn't know". Cyrus bowed to Liza who allowed him to speak, he turned to the Senators "I stand before you, son of Aleena the hedgehog, loyal to the Separatists cause, as am I". He noticed Amy and the two smiled before he continued "But it has come to my attention that we are being deceived by Dimitri the Echidna who murdered my mother in cold blood!". This sparked outrage from the Separatists senators "That is a lie. Remove this traitor at once". Two Metals seized Cyrus "No! You must listen to me!", Liza stood up "Stop this at once!" she commanded. "We ask you to respect that we deal with this matter ourselves" the snake said calmly. "Dimitri is deceiving you. The Separatists won't survive if you follow him!" Cyrus said as he was taken from the room. Amy leaned towards Tikal "We have to stop them. He'll be killed" "Do what you can, Amy, but be discreet".
Cyrus was taken to a Separatists invasion ship and thrown in front of a hologram of Dimitri "Those are some rather strong accusations you have levied against me" he said calmly. Cyrus glared at him defiantly "You know what you did, Dimitri" "Have I? I have done a lot of things, young man, and choose to remember them in order of importance". He didn't notice Cyrus pressing a button on his wrist, "The death of your mother seems to have escaped me". "I will have my revenge, Dimitri" "I think it is time we reacquaint the young senator with his mother. Kill him". Dimitri cut off as the two Metals advanced on Cyrus. The doors opened and Amy ran in, she quickly destroyed the Metals "Cyrus, I think it's time to go, don't you?". She took his hand, and they ran out of the ship "Emerl, get the ship ready" she said to her commlink. They ran to another hanger where a Republic shuttle was waiting, it took of the moment they got onboard. They entered the cockpit where Emerl was waiting, Amy sat down and a hologram of Shadow appeared "Amy, Tikal just contacted me. She told me you left the peace negotiations. Where are you?". "I'm on route to Mobotropolis, Master. I have Cyrus the Lion", Emerl left the cockpit.
Cyrus stepped in sight of the hologram "Master Shinobi, I'm sorry if I've caused you any trouble" "It's nothing" Amy said quickly which Shadow noticed. "You'll be safe in the Republic from Dimitri", Shadow sighed "Alright, bring Cyrus to Mobotropolis immediately, and we'll discuss giving him amnesty" "Yes, Master". The moment Shadow cut off Cyrus pointed a pistol at Amy "I can't go with you go with you, Amy. I won't join the Republic". Amy put her hands up but then quickly took the blaster form him "What other options do you have? I promise the Republic will help you" she asked calmly. "Me and my planet had enough Republic help before the war. I don't need them. I've already made contact with a group on Anay who are noble and allied with my cause". "And what cause it that" Amy asked him concerned, "To kill Dimitri" he said with venom in his voice. "The only one you're going to get killed is yourself. I'm taking you to Mobotropolis. Your plan hasn't exactly been well thought-out, Cyrus. Without me, how did you think you were going to escape those badniks?". "Like this" he took out a small device and it shocked Amy in the neck knocking her out. He sat her down in another seat as Emerl re-entered "It seems Amy is quite exhausted. She should probably sleep it off". Cyrus sat in the pilot's seat and jumped to lightspeed.
The ship had landed on a snowy forest planet, Amy woke up with a sore head "Cyrus?" she looked around and Emerl was the only one with her. She reached down and realized her lightsaber were gone. She looked outside and saw Cyrus waiting "Emerl, take a look around, and see if you can find my lightsabers. I'm going to have a little chat with Cyrus" she said angrily. She went outside "Crus, where are we, and what did you do with my lightsabers?", he sighed "You should have stayed on the ship". Wispon Diamond Cutters landed around them led by a female wolf, they all wore their masks "Hey, kid, you're late. You get us what we need?". Cyrus nodded "Yes, and I have the information with me", the wolf noticed Amy "Who's this?" "I'm his… I'm his… betrothed" she grabbed Cyrus arm. The wolf stared at them "And you thought this would be a good bonding experience?" she said mocking. Before Cyrus answered the wolf turned to the others "We leave now. More snow's coming". They started walking but Amy stopped Cyrus "What have you gotten us into?" "It's all under control". Three speeders arrived "These are the Diamond Cutters. They're terrorists. They'll kill us both" she whispered, "You coming?" one of the Wispons asked. "Yes" Cyrus got onboard but Amy turned around "I should stay with the ship" "No you're coming too" the Wispon said. Two of them picked up Emerl who began to beep sounding scared.
As they were traveling Amy looked to Emerl and pointed at her lightsaber holster, he nodded. They arrived at a large camp full of Wispons, Amy saw a group of robots made out of different parts being used as target practice. Emerl watched and beeped anxiously. Amy and Cyrus entered a tent "Don't ruin my plan, okay" "Plan? What plan". Cyrus turned to her and held up his wrist "This is a holo-trace device. It can identify the origin of any holo-transmission. I knew if I accused Dimitri of murder, I would be brought to face him. Well, it worked, and I now know Dimitri's exact location. If we move quick enough, we can kill him". Amy glared at him "This is not some idealistic political group. They will take the information and kill you. The Diamond Cutters are murderers, sworn to destroy the Shinobi. You don't know what you're doing". Cyrus looked behind her and saw that Smithy was about to enter, he quickly kissed her to stop her talking. "Am I interrupting something?" Smithy asked, Amy pushed Cyrus back "N-no, of course not. We were just, um-". "It's time to talk business" Smithy removed his mask "Tell your woman to leave us" "Of course" Cyrus said. The wolf grabbed Amy's arm and took her outside. "Now give me what I want" Smithy said as he sat down, "I will when I know that you will use it correctly" "Don't toy with me, boy. Dimitri had done a great deal of damage to the Diamond Cutters". Cyrus nodded and handed him a chip "This device will tell you this location" "Good. That was painless, wasn't it? Now let's celebrate".
Emerl was taken to a large tent full of broken robots "Repair these robots so we can use them for target practice… again" the Wispons laughed before leaving. Emerl walked up to a broken Egg gunner "Please… reassemble us" it said weakly as the other robot began to surround Emerl as they all begged to be reassembled.
Amy was thrown into another tent that had a group of female koalas, she angrily turned to the wolf "Try that again, and I will-". One of the koalas grabbed her arm "Shh! You don't want to make them angry. They are far from rational" she said timidly. "Believe me, you have no idea" Amy joked as she sat with them "I'm Amy. What's your name?" "Tryla". Amy smiled "Where are you from?" "We were kidnapped from a nearby town. We are a simple people. We trust easily and we were betrayed". An ocelot Wispon entered "We feast. Prepare the food. Your masters are hungry".
In the main tent all the Wispons and Cyrus sat at tables as the Koalas and Amy were handing out food and drinks. Amy went over to Cyrus with a tray "Hungry? Careful not to choke on your stupidity" she sarcastically smiled before walking away. Smithy sat next to him "I see our woman has fit in well. Now, how will you fit in?" "All I want is Dimitri dead". An elderly koala entered with two others; Smithy stood up "Chieftain Pieter. I don't remember summoning you". "You have taken our people, stolen our food and threatened us for too long", Smithy stared blankly at him "It's brave of you to come here with such bold words". The Koala glared at him defiantly "You are no longer welcome here!" "Well, if our presence here isn't welcome, we'll make ready to leave". The Koala looked hopeful "And you'll return our people to us?" "Yes. Sunrise tomorrow. You have my word". The Koalas nodded and left the tent, Cyrus smiled and leaned close to Amy "You see? They're not the butchers you make them out to be", Amy didn't look confident.
The next morning the Wispons arrived at the village with the Koalas, they went to the centre where the villagers were waiting. The elderly koala walked up to Smithy "You have kept your word. We are very grateful for your understanding". More Wispons flew in and landed on the homes of the villagers. Smithy took Tryla's arm "I am a man of my word. Here's your granddaughter". He threw Tryla to him and then ignited his darksaber and stabbed her in the back "Tryla!" Amy yelled. She ran over and held her body before it fell to the ground. "Kill them! Kill them all!" Smithy yelled. All the Diamond Cutters wispons turned red and they shot fire at the home "NO!" the villagers yelled as they scattered. Cyrus watched in shock "Why? What're you doing?". Smithy laughed and put his arm over his shoulder "Never let the weak tell you what to do. Welcome to the Diamond Cutters!". Amy leaped forward and grabbed a metal pole which she threw at one of the Wispons on the roofs, it pierced his chest. She fought two more when Smithy lunged forward and tried to strike her with the darksaber. The Diamond Cutters wispons turned yellow and they fired electric ropes at Amy which shocked her, and she fell to the ground. "Now, what do we have here. I think we've caught ourselves a Shinobi! Get her back to camp".
Amy was kneeling in the middle of a tent still restrained while Smithy was speaking to Cyrus "Now this does not look good. This does not look good at all. I asked you to join us in good faith and you bring a Shinobi into our camp". Cyrus shook his head "She wasn't meant to be here. Please, let her go" "I'm afraid that's not an option". He stepped in front of Amy and ignited his lightsaber, "I believed you had honour but you're just murderers, no better than Dimitri" Cyrus said. Smithy raised his eyebrows "Didn't you seek us out because you wanted revenge?" "I wanted justice for my mother's death" "And you shall have it, but the Shinobi are no different from Dimitri, and this one shall pay in part for their crimes". No one noticed Emerl entering the tent, he saw that Smithy was about to execute Amy and he shot smoke out of his fingers distracting everyone. The gizoid ran forward and took two lightsabers out of the slots in his hand and gave them to Amy "Thank, buddy". She cut her restraints, four Diamond Cutters charged at her, but she jumped up and spun her lightsabers around cutting off their heads. The wolf raised her wispon when "Whisper! She's mine" Smithy told her before igniting the darksaber.
"Cyrus, get to the ship" Amy told him, and he ran out with Emerl. Amy duelled Smithy who eventually managed to kick her outside, she then realized there was a group of robots behind her. Cyrus smirked "I guess Emerl made some friends". The robots fired on the Diamond Cutters while Amy continued her fight with Smithy. She jumped over him and slashed the wispon on his back "Not bad, Shinobi" "I didn't miss". Smithy eyes opened wide and he dropped the wispon before running away. The wispon exploded allowing Amy, Cyrus and Emerl a distraction to take one of the speeders. Emerl looked back and saw the remaining robots he fixed get shot down, he beeped solemnly. The speeder raced of and Amy saw Diamond Cutters chasing them with their wispons now crimson. They used their free hands to fire at them but deflected the blast back at two of them. Whisper then landed on the speeder and fought Amy who used the Force to throw her off the speeder. They made it back to the ship and quickly entered.
Amy was in the pilot's seat and the ship was now flying through space, Emerl entered "The escape pod's been activated? Cyrus! Emerl, the ship is yours". She ran to the escape pod bay and saw Cyrus indie. She banged against the door window "Cyrus. Cyrus, what're you doing?". He went up to the window "I can't go with you, Amy. You… you know that" "But… but we can try. Uh, try to change things together". Cyrus smiled "We make a pretty good team, don't we? Don't worry. We'll meet again. I promise". They put their hands on the glass "Be careful, Cyrus" the pod launched leaving the shuttle behind.
