Sinister forces on the move! Lien-Da
has suffered a humiliating
betrayal at the hands of her own
assassin, Fleetway the Hedgehog. Having
gone into hiding, she now has no
choice but to seek sanctuary with
the Yagyu of Beryl...
Lien-Da lands near the Temple on Beryl, a groups of sisters stood around a fire when they saw the ship and raised their weapons. When they saw Lien-Da step out they let her pass and she entered the Temple. Enchantress greets her happily "Sister, I knew you'd return" she hugged her, "I've been hiding, re-evaluating" "I suspected as much" "Fleetway, that monster we created has forsaken us. He refused my guidance and escaped into the galaxy. I… have nothing". The two walked together "You have your breath, your skill and your sisters. You have everything you need to survive. You must give up the ways of the Raiju and return to our fold. You will leave Dimitri's absurd war behind and remain with us, no longer to be ordered about. You will be loyal to no one but your sisters and yourself". Lien-Da paused before responding "And then?" "And then you will fulfil your destiny and become a true Yagyu".
A massive Separatist fleet surrounded the planet of Megaopolis. On the planet Dimitri was in his castle at his desk when Dark Oak entered and kneeled. "You summoned me, My Lord?", Dimitri nodded "The time has come at last to take revenge on Lien-Da and the witch, Enchantress. I have learned Lien-Da has returned to Beryl. Go there and wipe the witches out. All of them. Their illusions do not frighten me" he ordered coldly. Dark Oak was all too happy to oblige "Yes, Master". He exited the castle and was followed by an Egg pawn holding a data pad "Assemble the fleet! The time to exact vengeance on the traitor, lien-Da has arrived. We go Beryl, to battle!". Dozens of invasions ships began to take off around them.
Lien-Da was standing in a pool of water with the Yagyu sisters surrounding her "Do you pledge yourself to the Sisterhood of the Yagyu, to the magics and the old ways?" Enchantress said. Lien-Da got on her knees "I do" "Do you abandon your old life for this new one?". The other sisters began to chant, and a glowing green circle formed around Lien-Da. "I do" "Your loyalty, your life?" Enchantress asked her. Lien-Da lowered her head "My loyalty, my life" she fell backwards into the pond. The sisters raised their arms and Lien-Da body hovered out of the pond. The green energy surrounded her body, her eyes went completely white and she let out an inhuman shriek. They lowered her back down onto her feet and she returned to normal, "You are now reborn a sister of the Yagyu. Welcome" "Thank you, Enchantress". Enchantress looked to all the sisters and raised her hands "And now we feast and celebrate the baptism of our new sister!".
A dozen Separatists ships jumped out of hyperspace and headed for Beryl with the lead one carrying Dark Oak. "Begin landing our troops" five invasions ships were released along with a large squad of Eggrobos.
The sisters were in a forest sitting around a fire, Lien-Da was sitting in silence looking at the ground. A female rabbit next to her smiled "I am privileged to be your sister" "Thank you, Belle" she replied gratefully. She began to smile when she heard engines over head "Egg-Robos! Scatter!". The Robos bombed the area but they were able to avoid it "Prepare yourselves, sisters! The war has come to Beryl!" Enchantress told them as they headed back to the temple.
The invasion ships landed "Establish a perimeter and get the badniks in attack formation. We'll burn a path through the forest right to their fortress" Dark Oak told the Pawns. The ships released a large army of badniks as well as beetle tanks.
Lien-Da was with Enchantress just outside of the temple "Gather your weapons" the latter ordered the other sisters. Lien-Da stared in the direction the invasions ships landed "The badniks army is only here because of me, and so may are going to die" "There is no time to regret. Now we must fight". Lien-Da scowled "That Metorex, Dark Oak is coordinating the attack. I can sense it" "You know the badniks. It gives us an advantage". The Robos arrived and fired on the temple causing part of it to collapse on one of the sisters "Belle!" Lien-Da yelled as she ran over and lifted the rubble off her. "Go, lead us to victory" Belle said weakly before dying. The other sisters used their laser bows to hold off the first wave of badniks. Enchantress waved her hands and a green orb formed around her, it shielded her form blasts and it fired electric energy at any badniks nearby. Lien-Da ignited her lightsabers "We will need an army to fight Dark Oak" "I will speak with Earthia. She will get us the reinforcements we need" Enchantress told her. Lien-Da charged forward "Follow me, sisters! Attack" she cut through the remaining badniks and rushed into the forest "Take to the trees, sisters. We shall attack them from above and below". Lien-Da charged into the next wave with a group of sisters while the others were firing down on the badniks with their bows.
Dark Oak was waiting in the ship "Sir, there is heavy fighting along the eastern front. Reports indicate Lien-da is leading the attack" a Pawn told him, "Send in the defoliator tank. We'll burn those witches to the ground". A beetle tank with a large cannon on is back exited the ship.
Enchantress was walking through the temple with two sisters "Go to my chamber. There you will find a small metallic sphere. Bring it to the hidden cave" "Yes, Enchantress". Enchantress walked up to a wall which glowed green and created an opening. She walked through and the wall reappeared behind her. Inside, a blue female Seedrian wearing a white robe sat on a chair. Enchantress bowed respectfully "Earthia, as the oldest and wisest of us, I need you to resurrect our fallen sisters. Lian-Da will need the aid of the undead army to achieve victory". Earthia weakly raised her head "Then I will begin the chant resurrection. Ifaras zaras yezaras... Ifaris zaris yezarik. Rise. Rise, awake, dead sisters. Rise!" a green beam shot from her hands and exited the temple. The beam went into the forest and entered hundreds of pods hanging from the trees. The pods opened and rotten bodies fell out, they stood up as if they were puppets and their eyes began to glow green. A roar came from their skeletal mouths as they charged in the direction of the badnik army.
Lien-Da and the sisters continued their fight when the defoliator beetle tank arrived. It shot a shell at the ground creating a wave of fire forcing the sisters to take cover. The undead sisters then arrived and began tearing apart the badniks with their bare hands. Lien-Da took advantage of the reinforcements and charged at the defoliator, she cut off its legs causing it to fall to the ground before she cut the cannon in half. The sisters commandeered the other beetle tank, and they followed the path the undead army created "They shall lead us right to Dark Oak".
Earthia looked to Enchantress "Lien-Da has her army now" "Good. Now I can deal with Dimitri". A fox sister entered "I found it, Enchantress" she handed her a metal orb "Well done". She opened it revealing red fur inside, she chuckled "Here it is. Dimitri should be more careful when dealing with witches". The sister then brought in a cauldron and Enchantress created a fire underneath it. Enchantress threw the fur inside the cauldron which was full of a green liquid and a clay doll of an echidna came out. She held it over the cauldron
Dimitri was at his desk examining a hologram when he began to feel a sharp pain in his head. He tried to ignore it but it worsened and he began to scream as he banged his hands against his fist "Enchantress!" he said through clenched teeth.
The commandeered tank advanced on the lead ship with the sister easily dealing with any badniks in their way. Eventually though the blaster fire disabled the tank so Lien-Da jumped over the remaining badniks and made it to the front of the ship as Dark Oak exited. Lien-Da smirked as her army made it behind her "Surprised?" she asked Dark Oak. "Hardly. You're the one I was sent here for" "Then fight me alone. Prove you're the greater warrior. If I win, your army leaves. If you win, the Yagyu sisters will surrender to you". Dark Oak chuckled and ignited two lightsabers "I have always been greater than you". Lien-Da began her fight with Dark Oak, the two locked sabres when "Enough of this" he kicked her back "You think you can defeat me? You're nothing!" he lunged at her. Lien-Da was getting overwhelmed by his constant attack and jumped back. She then dashed forward at top speed and attempted to slash Dark Oak's right hand. Just before the lightsaber made contact his hand split into two causing her to only cut off one. The extra hand then ignited another lightsaber so he was now wielding three. Lien-Da could barley keep up now and was eventually slashed on the left shoulder. Dark Oak was about to finish her off but the undead began to pile on him. Using the distraction, a badger sister helped Lien-Da up and the fighting started again. As they walked the badger was shot in the back causing Lien-Da to catch her before she fell to the ground. Lien-Da used the Force to push away any nearby badniks before looking in shock at her sister. She held her as the badger groaned "Doom is upon us, sister… Run. Save yourself" her eyes closed. Lien-Da laid her down and ran into the forest. Dark Oak began cutting through the undead on him. His holo-disc activated, and he saw Dimitri who looked to be in agony "Dark Oak… You must stop Enchantress before she kills me… Follow the witch's magic. It appears as a green mist… Follow it to its source and eliminate her! Quickly!". Dark oak saw the sisters in retreat and started following the green mist "Forget Lien-Da. Our new target is Enchantress. Follow me".
Dimitri was writhing on the floor when he heard a voice "Pain, Dimitri. You will know terrible pain". He laid on his back as a green projection of Enchantress emerged from his chest "Call off your army and leave Beryl at once". He scowled at her "And let you and that traitor continue plotting against me? Never" he said through the pain. She smiled sadistically "You're going to die either way. It's only a matter of how painful it will be" she held a needle in her hand before disappearing. He then felt something sharp piercing his forehead and Dimitri screamed even louder.
Dark Oak and his army marched on the temple as a group of sisters were trying to defend it. They used their bows but were quickly massacred by overwhelming blaster fire. Dark Oak entered the temple and saw the mist going through a wall "Fire", a Metal shot a rocket at the wall revealing the secret room. Dark Oak entered and saw Earthia "No! No!" she yelled as Dark Oak picked her up and stabbed her through the stomach. Enchantress watched in shock before disappearing, Dark Oak knocked over the cauldron. He activated his holo-disc and saw Dimitri breathing heavily while lying against the wall.
The undead army fell to the ground leaving the remaining sisters alone. The badnik army surrounded them and mercilessly gunned them down.
Lien-Da had escaped the battle and was limping through the forest before falling to the ground. A green mist appeared in front of her and turned into Enchantress "It is over, sister" she said solemnly. Lien-Da looked up at her in shock "No one remains? This is all my fault. Where do I go? What do I do?". "This chapter is over. Your destiny will always be linked to ours. But you have your own path to follow now". Enchantress began to disappear and Lien-Da stood up in desperation "No! Wait! You can't leave me here!" she was left alone on the planet.
