Brothers reunited! Scourge the Hedgehog, the

sinister Raiju thought to have been

destroyed so many years ago by Shinobi

Master Espio the Chameleon, was found

alive by his brother, Fleetway,

and taken back to Enchantress on

Beryl.

Though Scourge's memory has yet

to be fully restored, his need for

vengeance has awakened, more

powerful than ever...

Fleetway piloted the cargo ship towards the planet when he heard Scourge screaming "Patience, brother. We're almost home". Inside the hold Scourge was using the Force to surround himself with crates as he began to talk to himself "Far above, far above. We don't know where we'll fall. Far above, far above. What once was great is now so small". The ship landed outside the temple and Fleetway entered the hold "Brother" "Espio, chameleon". Fleetway sighed "Brother, we have to go", Scourge answered this by pulling the crates around him closer. Fleetway rolled his eyes in irritation "Fine. Stay here". He exited the ship and saw destroyed badniks, dead skeletal bodies and tanks all over the place. Enchantress then appeared through a green cloud and smiled at him "Fleetway. It is good to see you". He kneeled "Enchantress" "Shall we?", he led her back to the ship. "What happened here? Where are the rest of the sisters?" "Dimitri sent his minions to destroy us, but we will survive. We always do. What's more important is aiding your brother". They could hear him screaming "I knew you would find him" "Yes, but he's damaged. He doesn't remember his old life". Enchantress glanced at him "But he does remember something?" "All he talks about is a chameleon called Espio. It is an obsession". Enchantress entered the hold and saw glimpses of Scourge behind the crates "Come, let us fix what has been broken" she created a glowing green orb which flew over to Scourge "Come to me. Follow us, son of Beryl". Scourge was first afraid by the light but then smiled and followed it as it led him outside "Follow me. Child of Beryl".

They entered the temple and Scourge crawled over a stone slab to try and get the orb. "Now sleep" Enchantress put her hand through the orb and touch his forehead with her finger, and he fell back onto the slab unconscious. His spider body fell apart as it was no longer being held together by the Force. "Now what?" "Now we begin" a green disc of smoke appeared above Scourge's head and Enchantress began to chant "Amenda vla'ben troshana bon'te". She reached inside the disc and pulled out a dark cloud causing Scourge to convulse. Scourge then hovered above the slab as the green cloud began to envelop him and all his fur returned along with it being his original colour. He no longer looked malnourished however the slashes on his chest remained. Enchantress used her magic to pull broken badnik parts towards her which then attached to Scourge's bottom half. Fire engulfed the metal causing Scourge to scream out in pain. As the fire cleared, he now had robotic legs that were the exact same shape as his normal legs but had no fake skin and so were silver, the feet wore his normal shoes. He was lowered back down "Arise, Scourge, reborn son of Beryl" Enchantress touched his forehead causing his eyes to open and now Scourge was properly back.

He looked to Fleetway who was standing over him concerned "Brother?". Scourge sat up and grabbed his throat before one of the few memories of his early life entered his head "Brother" he growled before he released him. Enchantress looked proudly at them both before disappearing. Scourge looked down at his metal limbs "My… my legs" he could feel his metallic toes under the shoes, but it wasn't the same. "They have been restored by Enchantress" Fleetway told him. Scourge held his head in his hands "It has been so long, so dark, darker than I ever dreamed it could be" "And yet you survive". Scourge finally stood up on the ground, but he fell down. Fleetway stepped forward to help him but Scourge stopped him and pulled himself back up and was able to balance "Of course I survived". He started running until he was outside the temple with Fleetway following. Once he stopped Scourge angrily howled out to the sky. He looked to Fleetway "My hatred kept my spirit intact, even if my body wasn't. But then I was lost and became a rapid animal which is what you found in those caves, brother. I was discarded, forgotten. I have missed so much". He stared up at the sky looking troubled "The Force feels out of balance". Fleetway nodded "Yes. There is conflict: The Clone Wars". Scourge sighed regrettably "Ah, yes. So, it started… without me". Fleetway held out a single lightsaber "But you can begin again, brother". Scourge held out his hand and focused, the lightsaber only shook. Scourge looked in surprise before it finally came to his hand "I was apprentice to the most powerful being in the galaxy once. I was destined for… so much more, but I was robbed of that destiny by the Shinobi, by Espio the Chameleon". "Then you must have your revenge, brother" Fleetway said, "Yes, we shall start with revenge".

The cargo ship landed near a village on a distant planet. The residents of the village thought it was a supply ship and the children happily ran towards it hoping for fresh food. The doors began to open as the two hedgehogs looked out "Brother, what're we doing here? The Shinobi won't be this far out in the galaxy" Fleetway said. Scourge coldly looked to the villagers running towards the ship "In a galaxy at war, Fleetway, there is only one way to get the attention of the Shinobi… Slaughter of the innocent, mercilessly and without compromise" he ignited his lightsaber.

In the war room of the Shinobi Temple Espio, Blaze, Merlin, and holograms of other Council members were watching a holographic message of Scourge. He was walking around a line of terrified villagers "There will be more innocent blood on your hands, Chameleon, unless you come here. Face me. Come alone if you don't then this world". He ignited his lightsaber and cut off the heads of the remaining villagers "Will burn". Espio lowered his head respectfully at the loss of life before sighing "I have to go" "Not alone, you're not. We'll send a task force with you" Merlin told him. Espio shook his head "No, if he sees others coming, he'll run and then he'll do this to others. He's a broken, unbalanced monster. I've dealt with him before. I can do it again". "I disagree. This is clearly a trap", Blaze sighed "This goes against my better judgement, but I agree with Master Espio. He must finish what he started long ago". The other Council members nodded in agreement and Espio left the room. Merlin turned to Blaze "Master Blaze, if this is indeed Scourge, his capture is far too important to leave it to Espio alone". Blaze shook her head "Espio won't be alone. He will have an unexpected ally. We trust the Force".

In a bar on Sandopolis a group of bounty hunters were staring at a monitor showing them targets "These marks are too easy" "Not enough rings". A picture of Fleetway then appeared with an offer of a million rings for his capture. This surprised everyone "Who's this Fleetway guy?" "I'll take it". One of them was about to go forward when "Don't even consider it, boys. I've got this one". They turned around and saw Lien-Da walking towards them. She went up to the monitor and held out a disc which downloaded the details on Fleetway before leaving. The other bounty hunters knew her reputation and didn't try to stop her.

Espio's shuttle landed just outside the village and he cautiously walked out. He entered the village, there was no one around, the homes were on fire and Espio saw a gizoid banging its head against the wall while beeping sadly. Espio used the Force to shut him down before entering the centre of the village. "Shinobi!" he looked up and saw Scourge standing on the roof of a house. "I've been waiting for you", Espio hid his surprise "I'm not sure I've made your acquaintance". Scourge glared at him "I'm surprised you could have forgotten me so easily after I killed your master and you left me for dead on Albion". Espio's eyes opened wide "It is you" "You may have forgotten me, but I will never forget you. You can't imagine what I had to do just to stay alive, fuelled by my singular hatred for you". Espio ignited his lightsaber "That may be so, but I defeated you before, and I can defeat you again". Scourge laughed "Don't be so sure". Fleetway jumped down behind Espio catching him off guard "You?". Fleetway ignited his lightsaber and managed to push Espio to the ground. Scourge jumped down and pulled Espio's lightsaber towards him before Fleetway knocked him out. Fleetway carried him back to the ship but little did either of them know a certain female echidna was watching them from the forest.

In the ship's hold Scourge threw Espio into a pile of crates, Espio woke up as he was getting dragged back to the middle of the room. Fleetway held him as Scourge punched him in the stomach "Still as weak as ever. And they call you Master" he said mockingly. Espio grunted form the pain but then smirked "You know, when I cut you in half, I should have aimed for your neck instead". Fleetway threw him to the ground before Scourge told him to take the ship off. Lien-Da saw this from outside and quickly jumped on the ship before it was out of reach. Back in the hold Scourge looked down at Espio "Anything more to say?" "I like your new legs. They're a lot shinier". Scourge grabbed him by the throat and ignited his lightsaber near his face as he struggled. "I will make sure you stay awake long enough to feel every single cut. Your death will be beyond excruciating. You will suffer as I have". "What a surprise", the two hedgehogs looked up to a higher platform and saw Lien-Da smiling down at them "My former servant, still an animal. And you have a friend now". "My brother" Fleetway said which made Lien-Da laugh "A brother? Looks like he's only half the hedgehog you are, Fleetway. Still, better than the last one. How unfortunate. I was looking for a challenge, not some castoffs from the Beryl clans. What a disappointment". She backed away out of sight "Who is this, brother?" "A Yagyu witch. She betrayed me". They heard her laughing but couldn't tell where from, they then saw a door close "She knows too much. Kill her" Scourged kicked Espio down before he and Fleetway jumped up to the platform and went through the door. Lien-Da then jumped down from the other side of the room and kneeled down next to Espio. "Espio, don't tell me someone's finally knocked the fight out of you. Wake up!" she slapped his face twice causing him to open his eyes "Lien-Da?". She helped him up "It looks like I'm here to rescue you" "When did you become the good guy?". She rolled her eyes "Don't insult me". Espio smirked "What a lovely sight to wake up to" "Don't flatter yourself, Espio. You've never been much to look at, especially now". They then saw Scourge and Fleetway re-enter the room and ignite their lightsabers. Lien-Da quickly handed Espio one of hers "I want that back" "That's fine. Red's not my colour" "And yet you keep running into me". They went back-to-back as the hedgehogs jumped down; Scourge lunged at Espio as Fleetway went for Lien-Da.

The two quickly switched places to throw the hedgehogs off. In the confusion Espio grabbed his lightsaber from Scourge's belt "Lien-Da!" he threw her lightsaber. Now having two she swapped back with Espio and had an easier time keeping up with Fleetway's attacks. Scourge and Espio jumped onto a higher platform and entered a saber lock "Your master, Maria Kintobor, was it? I gutted her while you stood helpless and watched. How did that make you feel, Espio?" he said mockingly. Anger filled Espio, he pushed Scourge back and mindlessly attacked him. Scourge easily kicked him into the wall "Your rage has unbalanced you. That is not the Shinobi way, is it?" he threw Espio back down. He stood back up an went next to Lien-Da "We're outmatched" "You want to run?". Espio smirked "I learned from watching you" "Funny. The cockpit?". Scourge jumped down and attack Lien-Da, Espio got round Fleetway and opened the cockpit doors "Come on! Come on!", Lien-Da jumped back and ran through the doors closing them right before Scourge reached her. The two hedgehogs began to cut through it as Lien-Da and Espio entered the cockpit and closed another set of doors. Espio got in the pilot's seat, "Hurry, Espio" Lien-Da said as the two hedgehogs were nearly through the first set of doors. "Working on it" he started to detach the cockpit from the rest of the ship, "Come on. Hurry!". The cockpit suddenly shot out from the rest of the ship and escaped. Scourge quickly activated the shields on the doors, so they didn't get suck out into space.

Lien-Da turned to Espio "That was cutting it a little close" "You do know it's not over. They'll be after us both now". She walked up next to him and crossed her arms "And what're you going to do? Are you going to arrest me?", Espio could tell she was ready to go for her lightsabers. He paused before smirking "What planet do you like?".

Fleetway followed Scourge to the second control room "What now, brother? Do we go after them?". Scourge calmly sat down "No. We will be patient, Fleetway. I've waited so long for my revenge. I can wait a little longer". "But now the Shinobi know you're alive. They will be coming for us". A sadistic smirk came across Scourge's face "I'm counting on it".
