Terror at the Temple! The Shinobi Temple
is in disarray after a vicious
terrorist attack. Shadow the Hedgehog
and Amy Rose set out to find the
truth of who was really behind this
horrendous catastrophe. Their
investigation led them to discover
the true saboteur, Teri-Lu.
Now the Jedi attempt to return the
Temple to normalcy. But first, Master
Blaze must give a eulogy to the fallen
Shinobi warriors...
A large group of Shinobi were in a room along with Senators and Chancellor Solaris. Blaze was walking around five slabs that Shinobi bodies were lying on "They are one with the Force. And it is our job to remember that we will in time, also pass on. We are luminous beings, but our bodies are temporary vessels. And we shall all find ourselves here in time. I ask for a moment of silence to remember and move on". Amy head was down respectfully when she noticed Clove, who was next to her had tears in her yes. Amy patted her back comfortingly when she smiled at. After the moment of silence Blaze continued "We must live for the for the living Shinobi. The fallen will forever live through us". The bodies were lowered into a compartment in the floor, doors closed over them and yellow beams were fired up.
The Shinobi were leaving the room, Amy was walking with Shadow on her left talking to Admiral Finitevus and Clove was on her left who still looked upset. "You were close to one of them?" "Tutso Mara. We trained together. He taught me how to hold my lightsaber correctly" she said. Amy nodded before turning to Shadow "So what happens to Teri-Lu now?". Finitevus answered instead "The bomber has been moved", this surprised Amy "Moved? Where? Why has she been moved?" "The Republic military has taken her into custody". This angered Amy "But why? This is a Shinobi matter, isn't it?". Finitevus continued to look forward as he answered "Clones were killed, which makes this terrorist attack a military matter. An attack on the Shinobi is an attack on the Senate". Shadow nodded "Admiral Finitevus is right. Teri-Lu isn't a Shinobi. It's not for us to be judge and jury over a citizen of the Republic". Amy got in front of him "If Teri-Lu is guilty she's guilty. And she should be dealt with" "Calm down, Amy. Remember, revenge is not the Shinobi way". Clove stepped forward "The evidence seems clear, Amy. Nothing will ever change". Finitevus walked towards a lift but then turned to face them "The Chancellor feels very strongly that the Shinobi should be removed form as many military matters as possible. You yourselves said that you're peacekeepers not soldiers". Amy glared at him "I hope the Chancellor knows what he's doing" "I assure you he rarely does anything without strategy" he entered the lift. Clove turned to Shadow and Amy "I have many things to attend to, Masters. Good day" she walked away looking saddened. "Go. Be with your friend, Amy" Shadow told her. Amy followed Clove as Shadow got into the lift and sighed "In ways, she's still very young" "Indeed" Finitevus said.
Amy caught up with Clove "Company?" "Sure". Amy walked next to her "Every time I think about this, I feel conflicted. It's hard to not let feelings turn into attachment and pain". Clove looked regrettably at her "Amy, have you ever wondered if it was right to ignore your emotions?" "My master would say 'Our struggle as Shinobi is to move past them'". Clove sighed "You make it sound so easy". Amy had a slight chuckle "No, it isn't easy. But it's possible. Like on Waspnosia, it was hard not to be afraid when we were in that tank. Still, you and I got past it. And I guess we'll get past this". Clove smiled "You've always been capable of seeing things clearly" "I guess I've fooled you like i have everyone else" Amy joked. Her commlink then activated "Yes, Master?" "Amy, we're needed in the war room. It appears the Separatists have mounted another attack". Amy was about to go but quickly turned back to Clove "Look, I have to believe one way or another, this woman's going to pay for what she did". Clove nodded "You shouldn't keep your master waiting", Amy ran down the hall.
In the war room Shadow, Amy and the Council were standing around the holo-unit that showed Espio "We've uncovered a Separatists plan of attack. We shall travel to the Terminus system here then move across to Romanus". "That's so far out of our way" Merlin said, "Unfortunately, we must avoid these neutral systems". A hologram of Commander Finitevus appeared "Excuse me, Master Shinobi" "Yes, Admiral?" Merlin said, "Commander Rose, your presence is requested by prisoner Teri-Lu". This confused Amy "Why does she want to talk to me?" "Not entirely sure. But you're the only person the prisoner will speak to". Amy nodded "I'll report back with whatever I find out" she told the Council before leaving.
Amy arrived at the Republic prison and entered the cell block that Teri-Lu was in. She went to the security station where Geoffrey was waiting "Yes?" "I'm Commander Rose. Teri-Lu requested to see me". Geoffrey crossed his arms "I lost some brothers in that blast. Good job capturing her. Your scan said you came in with a commlink and lightsabers. You'll have to leave them here". Amy put them in a tray that then entered the station, "Follow me" Geoffrey said as he led her through the cell block. Amy walked pat Vesper's cell. She smirked remembering when she caught him and surprisingly he smirked back. Amy ignored him and entered Teri-Lu's cell "What do you want?". Teri-Lu was curled up in the corner of the cell "I was told if I ever needed help you were the Shinobi to contact" she then looked to Geoffrey. "Give us a minute, please" Amy asked him, and he nodded and left the cell. Amy glared at her "You don't have much time, Teri-Lu, so I suggest you get whatever you have to say off your chest". Teri-Lu sighed "The idea of feeding Jackar the nanobots was not mine". Amy looked sceptical "Why are you just saying this now? You could have told us when you were captured" "Because my life is in danger. The person behind this will be able to get to me unless you know the truth" she stood up.
"What truth?" "A Shinobi. A Shinobi showed me how to create the bomb and how to put the nanobots in". This surprised Amy "Wha-Why would a Shinobi do this?" "There are some citizens of the Republic, like me who believe the Shinobi Order is not what it used to be. The Shinobi have become warmongers, military weapons. They're killing when they should be keeping the peace. One of these Shinobi agreed with us, they wanted to make a statement and was willing to attack your own order to do it". She began to look very scared, "Who?" Amy asked. "If you protect me, I will tell you. Because I've realized I've been set up". Amy put her hand on her shoulder "Teri, I need to know. Who is it?" "It's-". Teri was suddenly being strangled and hovered above the ground "Teri! Teri!". Amy held her hand up trying to use the Force to stop whatever was happening, but it didn't work whoever was doing this was strong. She then heard the alarm go off "Teri!" she fell to the ground dead. Amy kneeled down at her body and was in shock. She then heard the cell do open and clones enter "I… don't know what happened". One of the other clones checked the body "Sir, she's dead". Geoffrey looked to Amy "I can't say I blame you, Commander Rose. But all the same, you're under arrest" Geoffrey said. Amy felt a pistol touch the back of her head. She suddenly looked very scared and put her hands up "I… no, no. I didn't do this".
Later Amy was waiting in her cell when Admiral Finitevus entered with two guards. Amy stood up "Admiral Finitevus, I don't know what happened. I went in the room to talk to Teri, and she said she was afraid of a Shinobi". Finitevus stared at her coldly "You don't have to tell me anymore, Commander Rose" "I don't?" "No, there are cameras in every room". He showed a hologram of Amy holding her hands up to the dying Teri-Lu "Curiously, the sound isn't working on this one. It seems the Shinobi she was afraid of was you". Amy shook her head "No. I didn't kill her". Finitevus stepped closer to her making her back away "You were the only one there. I know that you were upset when this woman was taken into custody by the military". He was getting too close to Amy for comfort "That means nothing" "I beg to differ" he finally stepped away from her. "It was someone else, Admiral, someone I didn't see" "You know it is very difficult for me to believe that. This is a secure facility. We don't just have anyone running about. And if there was someone else why didn't you sense them". He again got uncomfortably close to Amy who didn't have an answer and just looked away. Finitevus walked out of the cell with the guards.
Later Shadow was at the security station angrily talking to Geoffrey "I said my apprentice is in there. Now, step aside". Geoffrey stared at him with a blank face "General Shadow, Admiral Finitevus has ordered that no one be allowed in there". Shadow was struggling to hold his anger "I don't care what she's accused of. Let me in" he said through clenched teeth. Geoffrey stepped back and nodded to two guards holding electric staffs. They went behind Shadow and he glared at them, "Sorry, sir. The admiral's orders stand. This is now a military operation and under his jurisdiction" Geoffrey said. Shadow scowled at him before pushing the guards out of his way and leaving.
Amy was trying to sleep but she was too stressed. She sat up and sighed before going over to the sink and splashing some of the water onto her face. It helped her calm down and she turned back to the bed before noticing a key card was lying just outside the cell's shield. She smirked "Master, I knew you wouldn't let me down". She lifted it with the Force and inserted it into the cell's control panel deactivating the shield. She ran down the corridor and found herself back at the security station which was now empty. She then saw that there were three unconscious clone guards on the floor "Oh, no. This doesn't look good". She then saw that her lightsabers and commlink were just lying on the floor. She picked them up and noticed the commlink was beeping "Hello. Who is this? Why are you helping me?". The doors opened and Geoffrey suddenly entered the station and saw her "What's going on here". Amy saw him going for his pistols "It wasn't me". He hit the alarm and Amy ran out of the cell block. She saw clone down the corridor and turned a corner "Commander Rose, stop!" she heard a clone yell after her.
She kept running eventually coming across three dead clones with lightsaber slashes. Geoffrey arrived and fired at her with non stun rounds making her flee. Geoffrey stopped at the bodies and activated his commlink "The suspect has killed three clones. Code red. If you see the target, shoot to kill" "Belay that order, Commander!". He turned and saw Shadow and Fang running towards him "She's killed troopers" he told them. Fang looked stunned "I know Commander Rose. She would never do something like this" "Then who did?". "Quiet" Shadow walked past them "Amy! It's me, Shadow. Stop running" his voice echoed through the halls. "You can't help me, Master. Someone's setting me up" he heard her yell back. "I believe you, Amy" "But no one else will". Shadow sighed "Keep searching until we find her. Fang call security. Tell them we need to search the entire base. Now!" he and Geoffrey ran down the hall. Fang activated his commlink "General Shadow has just issued an all-points bulletin on Commander Amy Rose. Three clones are down. She's… she is considered to be armed are dangerous".
Amy had made it outside to the courtyard of the prison, she saw that the guards were using creatures to try and sniff her out. She hid behind a large memorial for the clones who died in the battle of Waspnosia. She climbed up to hide from the creatures when "There she is! Quick, stop her before she gets to a ship!" Geoffrey yelled from the main doors. Amy jumped down and ran across the courtyard as the clones were still using lethal shots. Geoffrey saw she was heading for the pipeline when Shadow and Fang appeared. "What's going on?" "We have her, sir. She's heading towards the industrial pipeline". Shadow looked and saw blaster bolts on the ground and walls "Set weapons to stun. I want her alive!".
Amy made it to the pipeline and ignited her lightsabers to deflect fire from the clones. She started running across a railing on one of the pipes when a gunship flew next to her and the clones onboard fired at her. She went down the railing for cover but was then surrounded on all sides. She looked up and saw Shadow and Fang. Amy then jumped up onto one of the pipes "Amy!" Shadow yelled after her. She cut into the pipe and went inside. She ran through as the clone rappelled down after her. The pipeline was a maze, so she kept making different turns to try and lose them. She eventually reached an outlet to a vertical shaft leading to the lower levels of Mobotropolis. "Amy, what're you doing?", she turned around and saw Shadow slowly walking towards her. "You didn't even try to come and help me" she said too him angrily, "They wouldn't let me in to talk to you". "You could have if you tried", Shadow continued to calmly walk towards her "How would that look, Amy, huh? Forcing my way in would've made you look even more guilty". Amy angrily stepped closer to him "I'm not guilty!" "Then we have to prove you're innocent. The only way we can do that is by going back". Amy looked away from him "I don't know who to trust" "Listen, I would never let anyone hurt you, Amy, never. But you need to come back and make your case to the Council". Amy shook her head "No. I'm not going to take the fall for something I didn't do!". Shadow turned very assertive "I am ordering you to put down your lightsaber and come with me now!" "General Shadow, where are you?" they heard clones coming. Shadow began to look desperate "Please, trust me" he begged, "I do trust you. But you know as well as I do that no one else will believe me". She turned around and stood ride at the edge "Shadow, you have to trust me now" "Amy, I do trust you". She took a breath "I know you do. Wish me luck" she jumped off and she fell multiple stories before landing on a ship. Fang arrived at the two of them watched Amy disappear to the lower levels.
