Amy Rose on the run! After an attack
on the Shinobi Temple, Shadow the Hedgehog's
young apprentice found herself accused of
murdering the person responsible for
the bombings on the Temple. With no choice but to
run, she was chased by her Master, who
begged her to turn herself in.
Knowing there is little hope of being
cleared of the crimes, Amy decided
to find out the truth and prove her
innocence on her own...
Shadow was standing in the Council room; they were all listening to a hologram of Finitevus. "After further investigation there can be little doubt that the clone officers murdered in the escapes were killed by none other than Amy Rose herself. She used a Shinobi mind trick to convince the clone to open the door and then proceeded to cut him down along with five other clones along the way". Rob sat back in his chair "I… do not believe that Amy could have fallen so far" the very thought hurt him. "The beliefs of the Shinobi Council are irrelevant. We deal strictly in facts and evidence, and the evidence points to Commander Rose being guilty of the attack on the temple and the murder of the Republic officers. This is sedition" the hologram deactivated. The Council looked between one another, "Shadow, was there no way to stop your apprentice before she escaped?" Nate asked. Shadow moved to the middle of the room "No, Master Nate" "The Council believes that Amy may be guilty of the crime, do you still believe they're wrong?" Blaze asked him. "I believe she didn't kill the clone troopers or Teri-Lu. That's why she's running. To prove her innocence". Merlin looked to Blaze "Now she's in the lower depths. With her skills, she will be hard to find" "We'll send two teams. Master Shadow and Master Rob will go with clones". Merlin didn't seem to like this "I think it would be best if Shadow stayed here. Having you involved may actually make things worse". Shadow sighed "Master Merlin, with all due respect, she is my apprentice, she's my responsibility" "The reason for you not to go". The hologram of Espio turned to him "I think we're being foolish if we take Shadow off this mission. Who knows her better?" "He's emotionally tied to her. Probably too emotional to do what need to be done". Shadow crossed his arms "I'd rather capture Amy and find out the truth than let her run because of a lie" "You must prove to us that you will stay focused. Can you?" Blaze asked him. "I've already alerted security on the lower levels to be on the lookout for Amy" "Then go swiftly, Shadow and bring back this lost child before it's too late". Shadow sighed "Yes, Master" he and Rob left the room.
Amy was walking through the lower streets of the city, trying to keep out of sight of Hunters. She saw a group of them receive new orders "The Shinobi are after one of there own. She is considered armed and dangerous". She went into an ally to get out of sight and activated her commlink "Clove, it's Amy" "Amy, I'm so glad you're safe". Amy looked around to make sure no one was listening "Safe, but on the run" "Where?" "I can't tell you, but someone is definitely trying to frame me". She started walking through the streets again, looking out for Hunters as she did "It's not safe for you to call me using a Shinobi communicator. Find another way. In the meantime, I'll do some digging and see if I can find anything out to help you on my end" "Thank you, Clove". She then took her commlink off her wrist, dropped it to the ground and crushed it with her foot". She then saw a drunk chipmunk lying on a pile of crates wearing a cloak "Hey, buddy, are you hungry?" Amy said. The chipmunk looked up to her "Very" "How about a trade?". She held out a handful of rings which surprised the chipmunk "What do you want?" "Your cloak".
She was now on another street wearing the cloak with her hood up to hide her face. She entered a tram station and boarded the first one that arrived. She waited for the train to arrive at the next stop when she heard something enter her car. She saw two clone guards enter "Passes please" they started asking the other passengers. Amy turned to the wall to try and hide when the train arrived at the next stop. She was about to walk out but more clones were on the other side of the door "It's her. The rogue Shinobi". Amy ran down the cars as the train started moving again. Once reaching the final car she forced the doors opened and jumped out and landed on a lower street and ran out of sight.
Shadow and Fang were on a transport taking them through the city "The lower level of police claim to have spotted Commander Rose heading toward level 1312" "Alright, let's bring her home". The ships dived down one of the tunnels to the lower levels.
Amy was moving through a run-down part of the city when someone kicked her to the ground from behind. She tried to get back up but a cloaked figure with glowing yellow eyes and a blank red face jumped on top of her and put two red lightsabers to her throat. "Well, well, I didn't believe it when I first heard, but I guess it's true, the Senate has put a bounty on our little pink head" the figure chuckled before removing her hood and removing a red mask revealing it to be Lien-Da "And I'm going to be the one who collects". Amy scowled at her "Lien-Da, it was you wasn't it? You bombed the Temple and you framed me!". Lien-Da raised her eyebrows "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just here to make some easy money". She picked Amy up and pushed her forward.
They were walking through the streets with Lien-Da wearing her cloak and mask "You think you're just gonna hand me over? And then what? Get a pat on the shoulder? You're a Separatist war criminal and a Raiju. They'll have us both in prison before you said your name". "I don't have to hand you over the Shinobi. I can hand you over to the hunters and still get paid. I'm going to get my money whether you're dead or alive". Amy scoffed "Good luck. Despite what you hear, I'm still a Shinobi" "I'm afraid the other Shinobi no longer see it that way". Amy's face dropped "I hate to admit it, but you're right. That's why I'm going to need your help". Lien-Da stopped and removed her mask "In what star system do you think I would ever help you?" "A traitorous Shinobi tried to blow up the Temple and is framing me for that and other killings". This seemed to amuse Lien-Da "So the Shinobi aren't that holy after all. I don't know if I'll ever recover from that news" she said sarcastically. Amy paused before saying "I know Dimitri tried to have you killed. I know he betrayed you. What if this is his new apprentice? I've fallen from my path just as you've fallen from yours. We have a lot more in common than you think". Lien-Da crossed her arms "What can you offer me that's better than money?" "If you help me, I'll speak to the Council and the Senate on your behalf. I'll get you a full pardon for your crimes". This got Lien-Da's attention "Very well. But know that I go where the tide flows. If it starts to flow against you, don't think I'll forget about the bounty on your head" she handed her lightsaber to her "Fair enough". She then looked up "I suggest we find somewhere else to discuss this". Amy looked up and a light was shining on them by the transport carrying Shadow and Fang "Stay where you are!". They ran for it and Shadow jumped down to chase after them. He saw them get on an Extreme Gear board and race away "Lien-Da" he said angrily. He turned to the transport "Send out the probes. I want them found now!".
Amy and Lien-Da were now walking down a run-down ally "Nice place you have here" "Not everyone on Mobotropolis lives in a luxurious temple on the surface". Amy went over to a street holo-booth "I guess I'll have to get used to that" "Just make the call". Amy opened up the unit and started messing with the wires "Adding another criminal act to your record?" Lien-Da joked, "I don't want them to be able to trace it". A hologram of Clove appeared "Clove, it's me" "It's good to see you, Amy. Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm okay, if you consider Shadow and a hundred clones on my on my tail a good space to be in". This concerned Clove "You were almost captured" "Once or twice" Amy glanced at Lien-Da. "I'm glad you're okay. Where are you" "I can't say, Clove". Clove nodded "I believe I've found a clue" "A clue. How? From where?" "We don't have much time, Amy". None of them noticed a small probe robot was listening to their conversation. "Fine, I'm on level 1312" "Okay. Three levels up there seem to be an abandoned warehouse where they used to build munitions that Teri-Lu visited during the time she was getting access to the nanobots". Amy nodded "How did you find this out?" "I told you I would do some checking". Amy smiled "Ah, thank you, Clove" "Be careful, Amy" she cut off.
Lien-Da walked over "Well it doesn't seem like you need my help" "No, we need to find an abandoned munitions warehouse on level 1315. We should be able to find some information there". Lien-Da didn't say anything but Amy noticed she looked strange "You know the place I'm talking about, don't you" "Yes. I can get you there". A group of clones appeared in front of them being led by Karl. Amy put her hands up "Listen to me. I don't want to fight", Lien-Da put her mask on "I do". Karl had his pistol pointed at them "We're taking you in now, Commander" "That's not gonna happen, trust me. Now I'm not going to hurt any of you". Amy looked to Lien-Da "We're not going to hurt any of you. but you're not taking me in". The clones advanced "Commander, we are taking you in" Karl said. Lien-Da ignited her lightsabers "Let's play" she stepped forward waving her lightsaber forcing them to back off "Lien-Da, don't!" Amy yelled as she fought some clones off. Lien-Da instead of killing only cut the clones' blasters in half before beating them all to the ground. Karl angrily charged at the echidna who had taken his eye, but she threw him into the wall incapacitating him. She then smugly turned to Amy and took off her mask "See, didn't kill anyone. It's kind of challenge I've placed on myself". The two started running when Karl got on his commlink "General Rob, we had Commander Rose, but she escaped with the help of Lien-Da".
The two of them were on level 1315 "There it is. That's where you're supposed to find this clue" Lien-Da said pointing towards a warehouse. "I've done my part of the bargain which means you're on your own from here. But don't forget, you have to speak on my behalf now. That was the deal" "Agreed" Amy said. Lien-Da put her mask and hood back on and started walking away, "Thank you. I must admit i never imagined working with you on anything" Amy said. Lien-Da stopped and looked back to her "These are strange times" she sounded amused and gave Amy a nod before walking out of sight. Amy entered the warehouse; it was full of crates and different parts of machinery "I don't even know what I'm looking for" Amy said in frustration. She was searching for about five minutes before she heard lightsabers behind her. She turned around and blocked an attack from what she thought was Lien-Da as the attacker is wearing her cloak, mask and is wielding her lightsabers. Amy kicked her back "Lien-Da! I see you've had a change of heart". The attacker ran back and started climbing rows of shelves upwards. Amy ran after her and jumped onto a higher-level platform but couldn't see the attacker "Why bring me here? Answer me, Lien-Da. Why?".
The attacker ran up behind her, but Amy was fast enough to counter her attack and they continued their fight. The attacker kicked Amy into a pile of crates before throwing objects at her with the Force. Amy managed to dodge them, but she was beginning to tire out. She lunged at the attacker but was unable to get a hit on her. The attacker led her to a large tank of gas which she then cut open. She then sparked the floor with her lightsaber igniting the gas. Th two of them ran for cover just before it exploded taking a large chunk of the warehouse with it. The explosion knocked Amy to the ground but her attacker who was uninjured walked up to her and threw her against a wall. Amy stood back up but was completely exhausted by this point. She tried to strike the attacker who effortlessly grabbed her and threw her back off the platform. She fell through the floor and into a small room full of crates. Amy with some struggle got to her feet and saw the markings on the crate, they were nanobots. She looked up but didn't see her attacker. She turned to leave but saw Karl with a group of clones "Wait, no. Karl, let me expl-" Karl shot her with a stun blast knocking her out. Shadow ran in with Rob and Fang he kneeled down at Amy's body to check if she was okay. Karl opened one of the crates "Explosives... Sir, these are the same types of nanobots that were used to blow up the Temple". Shadow looked shocked "I can't believe it".
They were back on the transports taking them to the Temple. Amy was sitting unconscious in the middle of the room with her hands retrained behind her. Fang and Karl were on either side of her in case she wakes up and tries anything. Shadow and Rob were talking to a hologram of Blaze "Has she been captured?" "Yes, Master Blaze" Rob said regretfully. "Without incident?" "No, she was subdued by the clones and found in possession of explosive nanobots". Shadow sighed "It still doesn't explain Lien-Da's involvement. We saw her with Amy. I think there's more going on then we know". "By Amy or against her?" Merlin asked, "That remains to be seen" Rob said with obvious pain in his voice. "Let's just hope we can keep her here" Merlin said before they cut off and Shadow looked to Amy.
