Chapter 8: Infiltrating T.G.R.I.
In the genetic lab of T.G.R.I. the scientists began experimenting on the sheep as they somehow became wild as if they were going mad.
Angus watches from a metal bridge, overseeing everything. He smiled as his work was beginning to work.
He then walks into his office and sees Kirby tied to a chair with duct tape over his mouth.
"Thank you for helping me, Janson. By this time in the next 24 hours everything will be ready." Angus said with an evil smile. "And once I set the sheep free to roam the land, no one will be able to stand in my way."
Soon he left the office to take things in his hands.
(Scene changes)
Outside of the T.G.R.I. building, the red truck pulled up to the parking lot of an old Burger King restaurant. Then coming out was Logan, Riley, Terran, Ambrea, and Melody as they walked over to the side of the building.
Soon they are at the science institut.
"So this is the place?" Riley asked as they eyed the building.
"Yes, this is the place." Experience confirmed.
Terran said with a wisecrack. "Yep, looks pretty techno global to me, guys."
Ambrea said with a concerned look. "Kirby said from the news that they were planning to dump the toxic waste at the junkyard, but it looks like Angus Oldfield decided to take extreme measures in the lab. That's gotta be where they're keeping the people held captive."
Logan nodded. "And that's gotta be where we're going to. Alright, guys. What do you say? Let's do it."
With that said, Logan began leading his family and their friend to the building.
(Scene changes)
In the lab, Angus was approached by one of his scientists as he said to his boss. "We are all set to complete the transformation, sir."
"Very good, Fenwick." Angus nodded in approval.
Fenwick leads Angus to the lab as his scientists strapped ten captured adults in cages.
Angus turned to one of his scientists and said. "Begin the transformation."
The male scientist nodded before he pressed a button, which made some ooze from the mutagen canister to appear in tubes that went through the cages and into the people as the screen switched to Angus and the scientists.
Suddenly some groaning was heard from the people as we did not see them and bones began cracking with the sound of sheep bleating sounds coming from the people.
It made Angus grin sadistically as he said. "Yes."
Then some of the other scientists came to them as one female said to Angus. "Sir, we got reports of some intruders approaching the grounds of the building."
"What's that?" Angus asked in confusion before turning his attention to his agents. "Go down there, find them, and bring them to me."
(Scene changes)
As a security guard walks past a load of canisters filled with ooze, Logan came out in the view.
"Come on, guys." He whispered to his team as they silently made their way to the doors.
"Whoa! Angus must be really tough with his guards." Ambrea said as she looked back at the guard walking past some crates.
Then they went inside the building.
As they made it inside, they silently went up the stairs without being seen.
"Whoa, this is somewhat creepy by the looks of it." Riley said as they made their way down to a dark hallway.
"Yeah, I have never been in a laboratory before like this." Terran agreed with his cousin.
"Keep it down, you guys." Logan hushed his family as they continued down. "So where is the gentic's lab?"
"The big one is on the upper floor." Melody answered. "We're gonna have to take another way around-"
Before Melody could finish, she sees shadows appearing in the direction they were heading in.
Seeing this, Logan turns to a door on the left side. "Quick, in here!"
They quickly get inside the room and close the door. The sound of footsteps was heard as they walked past the door and decreased.
Once that was over and done with, Terran looked to where they were and said in surprise, making his family turn as well. "Hey guys, look. This looks like one of these genetic labs."
Indeed, this room was a genetic lab filled with animal bones, DNA, mutagen, and files.
Ambria said. "Well, I hope somebody's feeding the gerbil."
Then they decided to investigate through the room. While they were looking, Riley came across something very disgusting.
"Hey guys." He called his family, who went to him.
"What is it, dude?" Terran asked his cousin.
"Look." Riley answered pointing at something as the others direct their attention, and to their disgust, a sheep hanging upside down from some chains had its fur shaved clean off and blood on its body. But what was most disgusting was the internal organs and the beat of its heart.
Cautiously, Logan went to it and looked at its face as his family followed him as well.
Suddenly, to their horror, it roared as it snapped its jaws at them making them yelp silently in fright.
But Logan removed his horrified look to a scowl as he knocked the rouge sheep out with a punch from his right arm. The sheep fell unconscious.
"Ugh, okay. That is disgusting." Terran said in disgust and horror.
"What the heck happened to it?" Ambrea asked while staring at the genetic sheep.
Logan said. "Looks like Angus must be playing god for something."
Then he spotted a door to a sign that read the restricted area.
"Where does that door lead too?" He asked before heading toward it.
"Logan, the one thing we know about this place is that we can't go through someplace that is dangerous!" Riley said to his brother as he went to the door.
"We came this far to find an answer, Riley. We can't walk out now." Logan replied to his older brother.
Then they went through the door and they saw a room with canisters from the mutagen.
"Whoa, look at all of the canisters they've used." Terran said in shock as they moved into the room to have a better look.
Ambrea spots a computer. "Hey guys, over there!"
She went to the computer and sat on a chair as the others went to her as they saw on the screen with all of the disposed canister signs.
"What do you make of it, Ambrea?" Logan asked his cousin.
"Well I'm not sure." She replied back. "Looks like just a bunch of serial numbers. Let's see, disposed. Disposed. They're all disposed of." She went through the bottom.
"Wait! Look!" Riley said pointing at number 49 and for some reason, it said active. "That one's active."
Then Melody went to a cabinet and saw a file that shows blueprints to the building.
She takes it and says to her friends. "I think this might be of use to us."
They looked at the folder she was holding as Logan said. "Alright, let's get out of here while we still can."
But just as they were about to leave, the floor soon opened to reveal it was a trap door. And they went down screaming all the way until they hit the floor as they grunted.
Terran gets up and sees bones around them.
"Uh, guys. There's bones everywhere." He said to them as they looked around in shock.
Then a growl was heard as they turned to see some sheeps glaring at them and they let loose some bleating roars as they licked their chops.
"What's wrong with them?" Riley asked as they backed away from them.
"I don't know, but we better get out of here! Everybody, run!" Logan ordered as they ran away from the sheep as they ran after them as they roared.
"Hurry, guys! They're gaining on us!" Terran exclaimed as they kept running away from the sheep coming at them.
Then they see a door at the end as Logan ordered. "Quick, guys! To the door, hurry!"
They went through the door and immediately shut it! Ambrea locks it up with chains as the sheep butt-head the door on the other side, attempting to open it, but with no luck.
The five soon managed to catch their breaths as Riley asked terrified. "Okay, exactly what was that back there? What was wrong with those sheep?!"
"I don't know, but it looks like they were changed somehow." Melody said.
Logan turned around and saw a huge genetic lab.
"Hey guys. I think we're in the big lab." He said to his family, who turned around to see what he was seeing.
Then they were in a bigger laboratory with no one in it.
Then they moved in close so they would not be spotted.
Soon they were in the middle as Logan said. "Man. This place is pretty quiet around here."
His family agreed.
"You know, giving a layout of this building with a proximity of genetic mutations, and if they were gonna spring a trap, they'd probably do it right about-" Before Ambrea could finish a spot light got turned on above them.
This caused the five of them to be surprised as all of the lights turned on.
Suddenly a giant net grabbed them all as they screamed in surprise.
"Let us out of here!" Logan yelled out.
Soon all of the agents came in as well as the scientists. Then Angus Oldfield came into the scene.
This caused the five to look at him in surprise and shock.
"What the?" Terran asked in shock.
Angus smirked at them evilly.
"Angus Oldfield!" Ambria exclaimed in surprise and horror.
"It's him!" Logan said in shock.
Then Angus walked in the middle as he said. "I've been waiting for you five. I'm surprised that you managed to get here this far."
"The jig is up, Angus. We know who you are! Let us go now!" Logan ordered the elder man angrily.
Angus simply chuckled before looking at them sternly, but more specifically at Logan. "I'm afraid I can't do that, my dear boy. I have a matter to attend to spread the toxin all over the city."
"For what?" Terran asked angrily.
Angus explained. "Well, we have this plan that is about to turn everyone into were-sheeps with the virus in them. In a matter of hours, once I release the mutagen combined with the toxin and wolf DNA, the city of Maine will be a quarantine zone. And I will also bring that upon the world. It's high time that I play with god. And no one will be able to stand in my way."
The five captured teens glared at him.
"By the way, I have a little surprise." Angus said as he gestures to the tank filled with mutagen. Then a crane operator moves them to the tank.
"Uh oh, I wonder what that's for!" Ambrea said in horror.
"Does the word mutation problem mean anything to you?!" Riley yelled in shock.
"Yeah, right!" Logan also exclaimed.
"We gotta get out of here!" Terran yelled in horror.
Angus smirks in delight. "A little closer. A little closer."
Riley, Terran, and Ambrea exclaimed in fright with Experience as they were near the canister.
"Get ready…" Angus said.
Then Logan reaches in his pocket and sees his swiss army knife. He smirks and then opens one of his blades before taking aim and throws it at the rope.
They were then dropped to the ground near the tank, much to the villains' shock.
Soon the five rose up and glared at them and at Angus.
"You know, Angus. If there's one thing we remember going on summer vacation, it's that you should always be prepared." Logan said as he brought his swiss army knife out.
"Yeah, like our cousin Logan said, man!" Terran agreed with his cousin as he and his family took out their own swiss army knife, ready for a little battle.
"Get them!" Angus ordered angrily as his men charged at the five.
Logan faced off two agents as one of them came at him, but he immediately dodged him as the other came at him and tried to punch Logan, but he proved to be quicker than ever and punched the other guard aside.
Ambria blocked an agent's punch and kicked him aside as well as punching another agent away.
Riley tossed a few barrels at some agents as they got knocked down. Then another one came in and tried to punch Riley, but he easily blocked him and kicked him away.
Terran was now faced with other multiple agents as they surrounded him.
"Can we talk?" He asked mockingly, but to his answer the agents piled on him. "Whoa! Guess not!"
Then somehow he walks out as the agents start beating their own member, mistaking him to be Terran.
Suddenly he noticed a net above them. This gave him an idea as he went to the rope that was holding the net.
"Hey!" Terran called to the agents, who stopped and turned to him. Then he cuts the rope with his knife as the net trapped them as they yelled out in unison to get them out.
"Nice one, Terran." Ambrea complimented her brother.
"Thanks, I've been wanting to do that." He replied back to his sister.
Soon there were no more as the five regrouped together.
"It's over, Angus! Give up, now!" Logan said to Angus, angrily.
This only made Angus smirk, however, and said. "Oh, it's only just the beginning." Then he turned to one of his scientists and ordered. "Release the mutants!"
With that said, the scientist presses a button and a door behind them suddenly opens up as the same were-sheep monster, like Grant, appeared; only there were more of them as they roared and growled, possibly five.
This caused the five to look back and gasp in horror at what they were seeing as the sheep monsters walked out while growling before howling like wolves with the sheeps' bleating sounds.
"Whoa, don't these guys look like Grant?" Terran asked while gazing at the beasts with horror.
"Only without the clothes on them." Melody replied.
"Deal with these fools and get rid of them!" Angus ordered his 'pets'.
When he said that, the monsters immediately charged at the five.
"Well, you know what they say: the bigger they are…" Riley began before charging at the were-sheep group attempting to hit one of them. But one of them just swatted Riley aside to the ground as he grunted in pain.
This made his family and friend jolted in surprise before they cringed painfully.
"The more bones they break." Logan finished his brother's statement.
"Okay, these guys are mine!" Terran said while grabbing a long pipe before charging at one of the sheep monsters.
"Go get 'em, Terran!" Logan cheered his cousin.
Terran was now faced off against a were-sheep as he said. "Alright you overgrown ugly excuse for a sheep!"
The monster just stood still confused as Terran attempted to whack the sheep in the chest, only instead of hurting the beast it made Terran vibrate as he yelped in pain.
His family cringed how painful it was to see him like this.
"You know, maybe, maybe that ugly crack was a little out of line. Huh?" Terran chuckled meekly, hoping he didn't mean to insult the beast.
This, however, made the were-sheep respond by swatting him away as he screamed.
Then they came after Logan, Ambrea, and Melody as they dodged their attacks.
But then Logan got caught by one of them by the shoulders. "Hey!" He exclaimed.
The sheep spun him around before finally letting him go by tossing him in the air as he screamed.
Suddenly he crashed through a window and fell on the ground as he groaned in pain.
Logan sits up as he dusted himself off as he said. "Wow, that hurt."
Then he heard a moaning sound from his left as he looked to see Kirby still tied up to a chair with duct tape on his mouth.
"Huh?" Logan asked in surprise before getting back up on his feet and going over to him as he recognized him from T.V.
"Hey, you're Professor Kirby Janson from the eyewitness news!" Logan said in realization which made the man respond with a nod and a moan.
"Okay, hold still." Logan said as he peeled the tape off of Kirby's lips. Unfortunately, it made him scream from how hard the tape was on his lips.
"Whoops, sorry. I gotta get the hang of taking the tape off." Logan apologized to him as he tossed the tape aside.
"That's okay." Kirby replied back to his savor.
"Alright, don't worry. I'm gonna get you out of here." Logan assured the man before untying him.
