Chapter 11: The Plan
Later in the morning, people have gathered around the sight before them as the police started putting do not cross lines around the place.
"Okay, damage will be repaired. And as always, our official report will be released again with another investigation." The chief of police said to some reporters and news cast as he walks away while they went to some of the other wreckage to get this on video.
Among the people, Melody noticed everything as well before she went over to them, more specifically the chief.
"Chief, wait. I want to know if there is anything else you could tell." She asked.
"Uh, ma'am, we already told the reporters enough." The Chief said to her.
"Wait! Were there any large tooth or claw marks found here last night?" She asked again.
"How did you know? I don't know what you are talking about." He asked, not understanding.
"Chief, I can reasonably tell that this damage was caused by a… by a… really huge army of monsters." Melody tried to explain.
"Oh, and what type of animals what that be, miss?" Chief asked.
"Well, I can't say exactly, but-"
"I see. Then, uh, what makes you believe they did this?" Chief asks her again, cutting her off.
"Well, I can't say that either, but-" Melody was cut off again.
"Uh huh. Is there anything else you would like not to tell me, ma'am?" Chief asked seemingly annoyed.
"Chief, there are a lot of dangerous things out there!" Melody said defensively.
"And just what exactly would you like me to do about it?!" Chief asked irritatingly.
Then Melody finally gave up.
"I-I don't know. I guess you're not the ones that need to handle it." She finally said.
"That's what we do best, ma'am." Chief assured her as she left to do things on her own.
"Have a nice day. I think we should have this place clean up in no time." He said to his guards before going to his car.
Melody made her to the red truck she borrowed from the family to check things out for the moment.
But just as she opened the door, one of the agents she tangled with last night grabbed her from behind, making her gasp in surprise.
The agent led her into an ally away from the crowd and let her go as she fast another one.
"Hello, Melody." The male agent said to her with a smirk before turning it into a cold glare as he said. "Our boss has a message for your friends."
(Scene changes)
A little later, Melody made it back to the cabin and informed the others everything of what happened as Ambrea gave her a glass of water.
"And they said that if we don't meet up with him, at the base of T.G.R.I tonight at 11…" Melody tried to finish, but she went silent for the moment.
"What? What else did they say to you?" Terran asked, wanting to know what Angus will do next.
"He'll send the were-sheep out again. This time into Portland Maine." She finally said, which shocked and horrified the four.
"Oh man! Portland?! That's gotta be the biggest city in the state if he does that." Riley said, horrified by this insane plan.
"Yeah, how are they going to avoid all of those… people?" Ambrea asked, worriedly for the millions of lives at risk if Angus might spread the virus there as well.
"Then we don't have another choice, but to meet up with him and settle the score with him, his men and the were-sheep." Logan said with anger, finally having enough with Angus playing with god.
"Okay." Terran said, agreeing with his cousin as well as the rest, but Melody felt nervous.
"He's just trying to force you guys into fighting those monsters again while spreading the mutagen virus." Melody said, trying to reason them not to fight.
"We know." Logan said as he began to prepare the fight.
"But you can't-" Melody was soon cut off by Ambrea.
"Melody, there's no other way to stop him from spreading the mutagen virus." Ambria said.
"But you guys don't stand a chance against him." Melody grabbed Logan by the shoulder, making him face her.
"Yeah, but-" Logan tried to talk to her.
"Wait!" Kirby said, getting their attention. "Wait just a minute. There might be a way."
"Huh?" They asked him.
(Scene changes)
After getting some experiments from some laboratories, they began making a new chemical to stop the assault.
"Temperature?" Kirby asked Ambrea as he placed some blue acid into a sauce pan.
"Uh, three thirty degrees." She answered.
"Terran, pass me the pink one." Kirby said to Terran who turned to him and brought the pink bottle of chemicals.
Soon Kirby ordered Ambria to mix this together as he went to the other chemicals.
Logan went up to him and asked. "Are you sure this stuff will work on them?"
"When I contaminated the ooze used to make the people into the were-sheep, I had no idea that Angus destroyed the other cure of Anti Mutagen." Kirby explained.
Then he brought the last acid to the bowl Ambria was mixing.
"Everyone, may I have your attention?" Kirby asked them to surround him and Ambria as he asked. "Logan, would you hand a glass?"
"Oh yeah, sure." Logan replied as he got a glass cup and gave it to Kirby as he dumped the acid into the bowl as it steamed up with bubbles popping.
"Are you sure this stuff will do the trick?" Ambrea asked, unsure about this.
"Well, we won't really know until we spray this stuff on the were-sheep." Riley said to his cousin.
"Well, actually." Kirby said something else in mind.
"Actually, what?" Logan asked him as Kirby turned away.
"Actually… ingestion is the only course." Kirby finally answered.
This of course shocked the five.
"Huh?/What?" They asked him.
"You mean the mutant people have to drink it?!" Terran asked him if he was insane.
Kirby turned to them with a smile and said. "Affirmative. Yes, you. Right on, my man."
"Oh, great! That should be easy." Logan said sarcastically.
"Well any ideas on this?" Riley asked, hoping there could be a plan for this.
"Well, we could put them in some water bottles." Ambrea said, hoping that could work only to be met with looks by her brother and cousins.
But Logan thought about it for a moment and said. "Wait. I've got an idea for that."
The others listened to him as he turned to them with a smirk.
(Scene changes)
After Logan told the plan as they went to the nearest hunting store and sports store.
They got all of the items they needed for the fight they were about to face.
Then they went back to the cabin as they placed all of the anti-mutagen into large containers as their new sprayers.
They also gathered some guns, bullets, matchetes, knives, along with bows and arrows for their fight.
"Are you certain this will be enough, Logan?" Melody asked him.
"It should be able to work. We'll just have to use this stuff on the mutant people while we deal with the other sheep turned predators." Logan answered her question.
Then we moved the scene to the kitchen as they laid out a map for the T.G.R.I blue prints.
"Okay, so far we went past the genetic labs for the most part. If we can go through the main lobby and up the elevators, we can get back into the big genetic lab on the upper floor." Logan said as points at the upper floor diagram. "If we can go through the hallways again, pass through some of the agents, and convert the anti mutagen in the bigger tanks with the ooze, we might be able to cure the people."
"And if we can take down most of Angus's bodyguards as well, it should buy us enough time to put an end to his madness." Ambria said as she followed her cousin's advice.
"Should we give Grant the cure first?" Melody asked, wanting to return her friend back to normal.
(Scene changes)
Mutant Grant was tossed into the ground as he was tied up in ropes. He tried desperately to get free, but it didn't work.
Riley was the one who tied him up as Logan and Experience glared at him disapprovingly.
"Was that really necessary?" Logan asked as if his brother was crazy.
"You asked. Besides this might be the best way to see if the anti mutagen will work on him or not." Riley said.
Logan sighed before he grabbed the anti mutagen sprayer, grabbed Grant by the head and placed the squirter in his mouth. Then he pressed a button and the anti mutagen went into Grant.
"Quick, pull the cover over him!" Logan ordered Riley as he and Melody placed the carpet over Grant.
Then bones were heard being cracked in the carpet and and some groaning was heard from mutant Grant. Suddenly normal groaning was heard and the bone cracking stopped.
All of a sudden… a normal hand came out and Grant was now back to normal.
Melody gasped in joy and happiness, relieved that Grant has been cured as he stood up as he asked. "What happened? Where am I?"
"Grant!" Melody exclaimed, hugging Grant as he was surprised.
"Melody?" Grant asked before he smiled and hugged her back.
Logan and Riley smiled.
Terran came to them with a worried look on his face as he said to his family. "You guys gotta see this! Angus is doing it again!"
This immediately got their attention as they ran inside the cabin to the living followed by Terran to show that Angus is in fact on the news standing outside of T.G.R.I.
"And just recently more innocent people are disappearing from most parts from Presque Isle Maine to Portland. Authorities are now saying that a secret organisation is causing all the problems and almost all people are seeking shelter to-" The news man was cut off as Logan turned off the T.V. with an angry look.
"You must stop him before it's too late, all of you and hurry." Grant said with worriness.
"We're not letting him get away with it. He's lied to everyone, but not us." Logan said sternly before turning to his team and said. "You guys ready for this?"
"Yes!" His family replied, ready for the fight for their lives.
"Let's go." Logan said as they began to get prepared.
(Scene changes
Then they were equipped with each of their own weapons.
First, Riley got equipped with a bow and arrows, a matchet strapped to his back, black gloves, a utility belt with knives along with a few bullets and a pistol, and a brown bandana around his head.
Ambrea got equipped with a rifle, a few knives strapped to her utility belt along with bullets, white sleeveless gloves, and a pink bandana around her head.
Terran got equipped with a hand made spear he made from wood, two hunting knives, his utility belt had a walkie talkie along with a hunting rifle as well, brown gloves, and he had a green bandana wrapped around his head.
Finally, Logan was equipped with twin machete swords strapped to his back, a few hunting knives strapped on his utility belt, a pistol along with some bullets, black sleeveless gloves, and a purple bandana around his neck. Though he still had his black bandana around his neck along with his shark tooth necklace.
(Scene changes)
Soon they went outside still equipped, as Melody and Kirby put the two large anti mutagen bottles in the back of the truck.
"Alright, are the mutagen tanks in there?" Logan asked them as he and his family approached.
"Yeah, we're all set and ready to go." Kirby answered.
Logan smirked as he turns to everyone. "You guys ready for this?"
"You kidding? You're not leaving without us, buddy!" Terran playfully elbowed his cousin.
"Yeah, it's time for us to do a big major payback for the bad man on what he was doing to those innocent people!" Riley said to his little brother with a smirk.
Seeing this as they agreed, Logan continued smirking as he narrowed his eyes in determination before looking in the north direction they were heading.
"Let's go save the citizens of Maine." He said as he put his black hunting hat on.
