Chapter 13: Final Battle
On the rooftop of T.G.R.I. high above the city of Presque Isle, Logan opened the door to the top.
He goes up to the staircase to see a computer with the last mutagen vile in one of the genetic tubes connecting to the satellite and on top were sprayers.
Determined to stop this madness once and for all that, he went to the computer to end everything.
But just then, a gunshot was heard and he dodged out of the way as a bullet zipped past him.
Turning around, he saw Angus with a rifle in his hands and had a glare on his face as he faced Logan.
"You and your family couldn't keep your noses out of my business. Could you?!" Angus asked Logan angrily.
"Blame yourself, Angus!" Logan yelled as he glared at Angus. "You messed with my friends, you messed with me!"
Angus only smirked as he approached Logan with the rifle in his hands.
"Do you have any idea what you have done, to everybody, Angus Oldfield?!" Logan asked equely angry. "What would your father say about this?! Having everybody turned into coldhearted barnyard beasts?! Exterminating the entire human population?! Don't you have any shame in you?!"
Angus still smirks before he says something that would make Logan trigger his temper.
"It's farm life, Logan. Accidents happen. The business and science community will not take it very well, once I claim this world to its grave." Angus said gloatingly before ending it sternly.
Logan continued to glare at him before Angus reloads his rifle, points at Logan, who became shocked before dodging out of the way as Angus tried to shoot him.
Angus reloads again attempting to shoot Logan, but it proved difficult as Logan kept dodging every bullet Angus shot.
Then as if he tried to shoot Logan, he ran out of ammo and tossed the rifle away and grabbed an ax from that was attached to the fire escape door.
Logan unsheathed his swords as Angus charged at him and they clashed their weapons together. Angus tries to slash Logan, but he easily dodged it and again.
Then he jabbed his swords on the ground as Angus brought his ax down, but Logan grabbed it with a firm grip.
They both struggled before Logan tosses the ax away and punches Angus in the face, making him fall on his back.
Angus got up and wiped some blood that was coming out of his mouth and tried to punch Logan, but he easily blocked it.
But just then, Angus punched Logan in the chest, in the face, and grabbed him by the shoulders and turned around before tossing him to the ground.
"Enough, the lesson is over." Angus said before going to the computer.
He presses some buttons as the mutagen began to go up through the tubes up to the satellites to the sprayers.
Logan gets back up and sees Angus preparing for the final curtain call. Finally having enough of this madness, Logan glared at him before running up behind him.
He grabs Angus by the collar of his shirt, twirls him around and punches him in the face, causing him to fall down the stairs and hit against the wall.
Logan then goes to the computer and sees that he only has five minutes before the city is doomed, as well as the world.
"Oh boy." He muttered before going to work and pressed some buttons and eventually pressed one button, which caused the entire satellite to shut down as well as the building.
(Scene changes)
An agent was knocked down along with the other agents as Riley, Terran, and Ambrea were the ones who did it.
Suddenly the entire building was out of power, which caused everyone to notice. Then the prison cells were suddenly opened as the captured people cheered in joy and happiness that they were finally out for good.
"Looks like Logan saved the day." Terran said with a smile.
His family and friends smiled too.
(Scene changes)
Logan grabs the last vial of mutagen before he sees a reflection of Angus holding the ax from behind him.
Logan then kicks him aside as Angus drops the ax on the ground. The two glare at each other.
"You will regret this!" Angus said, angrily with his fists clenched.
"I Don't care!" Logan shouted very angry. "WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS AWFUL TO THE HUMAN RACE!"
"AND WHAT YOU'RE DOING WITH YOUR FAMILY IS STUPID!" Angus shouted as well. Then he smirked. "Shame you won't be here to help me get rich when I'm done with you."
He attempts to punch Logan, but he does the unthinkable: Logan holds up the mutagen vial and Angus punches it, causing the green ooze to get on him. Angus screamed in great pain as he felt the stinging going through him with mutagen all over him.
Logan sees some tall stacks of boxes near him.
He then grabs a pole before whacking Angus into the boxes as they collapsed on him.
Logan breathed up and down regaining his focus before grabbing his swords and seathed them back in his sword lots.
"So long, Angus Oldfield." Logan smirked mockingly before going down the stairs and into the laboratory.
Suddenly a three clawed hand popped out.
(Scene changes)
Logan walks down the stairs as he was greeted by a warm hug from his family and friends.
"Hey guys." Logan smiled.
"You made it, Logan!" Terran said, happy to see his cousin.
"We were so worried about you!" Ambrea said with a tearful smile.
Riley looked around to see Logan was the only one here.
"Where's Angus?" Riley asked.
Before Logan could answer, the door to the rooftop burst open as the door was sent flying down to their level.
"Whoa!" Ambrea said in shock. The rest were shocked as well.
Then a shadowy figure jumped down and it stood on its hind legs to reveal it was Angus, now turned into a were-sheep. But this time his appearance was even more terrifying than ever. He had sharp teeth in his mouth, sharp claws on his three hoofed hands, and blood red eyes, instead of them being black.
"The last vile of the mutagen! He must've made contact with it!" Kirby exclaimed in horror as were-sheep Angus rose up and snarled viciously at the six and the people as they stared in terror of Angus.
The mutant sheep boss made his way toward them before grabbing a barrel and tossed it at Logan, but he and his family immediately dodged out of the way.
"Guys, get everybody out of here! Hurry!" Logan ordered.
"No way! We're not leaving you to deal with him!" Riley argued, not wanting to lose his younger brother.
"Just go, hurry!" Logan ordered.
"Come on! You heard him! Let's get outta here!" Kirby said as he and Melody led the people out of the laboratory. Reluctantly, Riley and his family left with them leaving Logan to finish the job.
Angus glared viciously before he charged at Logan and tried to swipe him away, but Logan dodged the attack.
Then, he grabs a metal pole, and wacks it at Angus, which had no effect as he grabs the pole and flungs it, along with Logan to the ground.
Logan lands on the ground as he grunts a bit before glaring at Angus, who charges at him.
Angus tries to swipe Logan away, but he rolls out of the way and kicks him into a support beam.
The mutant boss shook his head to get rid of the dizziness and turned to Logan before charging at him while thrashing out wildly.
Logan kept on dodging before punching Angus in the jaw, forcing the monster to back up a bit.
"Give up, Angus! Stop doing this or you'll destroy us all!" Logan shouted.
His answer, however, was that Angus grabbed him and held Logan up, which caused him to gasp.
"Then so BE IT!" Angus roared as he threw Logan over a control panel, causing him to scream in fright, tumbling backwards onto the ground as he grunted before getting up into a fighting stance.
Angus jumps over the panel, growling aggressively at Logan.
Logan tried to think of something quick then noticed a gun on the ground. Turning to the panel, he figured if destroying it will cause an explosion and it will end T.G.R.I for good.
"You might want to think fast, you big ugly sheep!" Logan shouted before grabbing the gun and shot a bullet at the panel.
As soon as the bullet was shot at the control panel, it exploded as it sent Angus flying over Logan as he ducked when the boss crashed against a wall.
Then fire was on him as he roared in pain from the fire spreading all over him.
Logan then shot five more bullets at him and they pierced into his chest, which made him roar in pain again.
Then blood came out and he lost consciousness before collapsing to the ground. Angus Oldfield was done for good.
Logan smiled, but then sparks flew out everywhere before an explosion was set off from the right.
Suddenly Logan saw a huge chunk of ruble coming down toward him.
"Oh boy." He said before running out of the genetic lab as it began exploding.
(Scene changes)
Riley, Terran, Ambrea, Melody, and Kirby led everybody outside of T.G.R.I.
"Is that everybody?" Kirby asked.
"Yeah, yeah that's everyone." Melody confirmed.
Riley then realized something.
"Wait, what about Logan?!" He exclaimed loudly, worried for his brother.
Then all of a sudden the top of the roof exploded as flames erupted.
"Logan, NO!" Terran cried out of his cousin's presumed death as his family was devastated by what they were now seeing as the flames continued to spread.
Then all of a sudden, Logan came bursting out of the doors before the whole building collapsed.
Logan then stood up with a smirk on his face.
"Logan!" Ambrea exclaimed, overjoyed to see her cousin alive as well as Terran, Riley, Kirby, and Melody.
"You made it!" Terran exclaimed happily as well.
"You scared the heck of us, little brother!" Riley said happily before the whole family hugged each other.
The whole crowd cheered for the four as they saw the ruins of T.G.R.I. completely destroyed and Angus Oldfield was now gone.
"We did it, guys." Logan said with a smile as his family smiled as well.
Then the police rolled in as they got out of their cars and went to the crowd of people asking if they were alright. They each responded back with a yes.
Then Chief looked to see the four family members as well as Kirby and Melody.
"Hey, get those six over here, I wanna talk to them." Chief ordered as one of the cops went over to them.
Then Logan and his family and friends were escorted by the cops as the Chief asked. "Alright, I want some answers. Now what the heck happened out here tonight?! We got reports of people missing and it sounded like a crazy man was the cause of all this."
Logan stepped forward and gave the chief the notes of Angus Oldfield and his plan to spread the mutagen virus in the whole world.
"Angus Oldfield was behind all of this. We managed to stop him from exterminating the human race, Chief. He's dead now. His notes will be of use to you when you return back to your station before you bring the people back to their homes." Logan said to him.
Chief looked at him before he said to his men. "Alright, come on, bring everyone back home."
Logan then turned to his family and said. "Come on, guys. Let's go home."
They agreed as they along with Melody and Kirby went to the red truck and drove back to the cabin to get relaxed and cleaned up.
Finally, the threat to the human race… was finally done for.
