Chapter 14: The Ceremony

After getting back to the cabin and getting cleaned up, Logan came out of the shower as he was in his shorts and black shirt. He went to his family and friends in the living room.

"Man, I can't believe we saved the world from a villain." Logan sighed with a smile.

"I know, wait until our parents and Grammy hear about this." Riley said with a smile.

Ambrea decided to speak to Logan. "You know, Logan. You guys were right from the beginning. This was a great time."

Logan smiled at his cousin. "I told you this was gonna be a great adventure for us."

"Yeah, now this was the best summer vacation ever." Terran said with a smile.

Riley said to his brother with a smirk. "You did it, Log. You saved the whole human race from Angus Oldfield."

He lightly punches Logan in the arm, which made him grunt a bit in pain.

"Lay off, Riley. I'm still having a bruise on me." Logan chuckled in amusement.

"I'm really impressed you guys stopped the situation so fast." Kirby said with a smile.

"Yes, you four were so brave. Especially you, Logan." Melody said as she smiled as well.

All of a sudden, there was a knocking on the door.

"I'll get it." Terran said as he got out of his chair and walked to the door.

He opens the door, only to get a camera flash in the face.

"Gah! What the?!" He shouted.

The flash came from a camera man as thousands of people were at the front door cheering loudly for the family and their friends.

"Hey guys, who invited the people at our cabin this early at night?" Terran asked with a curious look.

His family came out along with Kirby and Melody as they all got really surprised at the people of Maine cheering for them as a man in a president outfit stepped up to them with a smile as two security guards were by his side.

"Hi there. Are you Logan Johnson?" He asked Logan with a smile.

"Yes sir." Logan said with a smile of his own.

The president held his hand out for Logan to shake his hand.

"I'm Nick Willmington. The president of Maine and the self defense corps. We're here to say how thankful we are for you and your family from stopping Angus Oldfield and his plan from wiping us out." Nick said.

"Wait, you knew who Angus was?" Riley asked with a surprised look.

"Yes, he was one of the FBI's ten most wanted. We got a tip that he had a lot of scheming of stealing chemicals for his 'project'. And we heard you all came to stop him, we were waiting for the right moment to find you and thank you." Nick answered.

Then his guards came over and whispered something to him in his ear. He smiled before turning to the heroes.

"Well now, I would like to host a celebration for you six for saving our home. Would 10 o'clock in the morning at Mount Haystack sound great to you?" Nick asked them graciously.

Logan looks at his family and friends, who looked at him with a smile they shared with him.

He smiles back before turning to Nick Willmington. "Sure, we'll meet up tomorrow at 10 at Mount Haystack."

At Mount Haystack, FBI agents have been gathered at Mount Haystack for the heroes who saved Maine from the face of evil.

Sheila and John were there as well as Logan and Riley's grandmother, uncle and aunt were there as well. Hearing about the latest events in the state, they were very proud of their children for doing something extraordinary. Of course, Logan told Nick that he didn't want anyone to know about their identity and with that they agreed.

"We are gathered here today with what truly believes to be a grand occasion for six brave heroes who saved us all from the face of doom. After the disappearance of many people missing and science tragedy, this was caused by none other than the man who took over T.G.R.I., and tried to wipe us all out, Angus Oldfield." Nick began the speech. "But then one day, a new hope stepped up, and these heroes single handedly defeated Angus Oldfield and shut down the building from the massive mayhem that happened last night."

As he continued on, Logan turned to see his brother, cousins, and his two friends as they turned to him with smiles on their faces.

Logan smiled back before turning his attention to the FBI agents, but more specifically his parents, his grandmother, as well as his aunt and uncle, who looked at him with proud smiles on their faces, save for Sheila as she shed tears of happiness of being very proud of him and his team for saving the world.

Then two men in business suits walked over with a pillow that had award medals on it.

"And so without further ado, I would like to give this awards for the people who saved us all." Nick said as he and his men walked over to Logan, his family, and friends. One by one he gave each of them an award as he slipped them over their necks as he said. "To Professor Kirby Janson, Melody Experience, Terran and Ambrea Mommaney, and Logan and Riley Johnson."

He then congratulated them with a smile. "Congratulations to you six!"

Nick applauds them as the FBI agents followed as well for the six heroes.

(Scene changes)

Soon a few hours after the ceremony ended, a party was held at the Windsor Fairgrounds, posted by Nick Willmington.

Everyone at the place was partying wildly with the parents and their kids as well as the six heroes.

Logan was enjoying the party while drinking a can of ginger ale while watching the party.

As he was distracted by the party in front of him, Sheila and John walked over to him with proud smiles on their faces.

"Hey there, sonny boy." John said to his step son.

Logan turned to them and said. "Oh, hey guys."

"We just wanted to say we are so proud of you guys for saving the world and the state as well." Sheila said to her son with a happy smile.

As Logan smiled at them, he noticed his mother shed a few tears. "Are you crying, Mom?" He asked teasingly.

"Uh, of course not. It's liquid pride." Sheila said, wiping them away. They chuckled before sharing a hug.

Then Riley, Terran, and Ambrea came over to them as Riley said to his brother. "Hey, buddy. The party is still happening. A few people want our pictures taken."

"Yeah, come on, buddy. Let's go!" Terran urged his cousin to join them.

Logan looks at his parents, who gave him smiles as well.

Logan smiled back before saying to his family. "Okay then, let's go."

Soon they went into the party to get their pictures taken.

The screen moved from the party to the sky as stars began to lit up. Then the screen ends with the cast of characters showing.
