Another Harry Potter AU.
May be considered a continuation of #Snitch and may have a continuation later.

So to clarify:
-Oliver,Zee,Selina,Carol and Barbie are in Slytherin.
-Babs,Kara,Hal,Tatsu, Carter and Doris are in Gryffindor.
-Karen,Barry,Pam,Leslie and Harleen are in Ravenclaw.
-Jessica,Garth,Diana and Steve are in Hufflepuff.

Hal woke up with a yawn and rubbed his eyes before looking around and noticing that all of his roommates had already left.

Sometimes he wished to be in the same house as his best friends, Oliver and Barry, but they were just too different from each other. Also, after Slytherin had won the latest Quidditch match Hal wasn't sure if he wanted to be near Oliver for a time.

And Barry was never too much interested on Quidditch, he preferred muggle sports like football* and sometimes boxing (though he mostly showed interest to amuse Hal and Oliver who had at some point sparred together)

He had been so sure that with Babs,Kara and Jill on the team they could have had a chance of winning the Quidditch cup that year, but the results were not on their favor and after they returned to the Gryffindor Tower Kara told him that it was a bad idea to put his new girlfriend on the team.

All their teammates and housemates shared her opinion even though they didn't say it out loud.

Maybe they were right, but Jill was a good Seeker when she wanted to be and she had shown her skill during the Quidditch summer camp, and Kara had seen that.

He yawned again while he stood up.

It would be a very long day.

Hal was taking a little nap during Divination as he couldn't care less for Trelawney rambling about death while Babs took notes for both of them, apparently she didn't want him to fail that year and took her new mission very seriously, unlike last year when she was supposed to tutor him but settled for only asking if he had done his homework and that had worn him out till he had six A's, an E and an O.

In turn he just bought Butterbeers and some Honeydukes sweets for her when they went over to Hogsmade, it was the only way he could say "thank you" without having to really say it.

Oh and he had introduced her to Barry when she told him that she found him cute, she had been thrilled.

He was a really good friend.

"Those two should stop sitting together if Babs wants to pass this class" Jessica told Diana as they passed by their side, as if neither of them could hear them.

He sat with Babs during most of their classes together unless they had classes with Ravenclaw then she would sit with her weird friend Harleen and him with Barry.

"Don't listen to them" Babs told him while scribbling down some notes "They just think that I should take notes for Kara too since we are friends too and well…she is actually failing most classes"

"Is Kara even taking divination?" Hal asked in a very surprised tone, he hadn't seen the blonde girl in any of their classes.

"Yeah, but she just sits on the back with Lance and some other girl" Babs responded looking to the back of the classroom, Kara was reading some muggle magazines with a pair of blonde girls and surely she was complaining about not being able to listen to her music while in Hogwarts.

It was a shame that electronic devices couldn't work in Hogwarts.

He just heard more of Trelawney ramblings as background sounds while he took a nap, then Babs nudged his arm and the teacher was looking at him with great interest.

He was about to complain about that when Trelawney said grabbing him by the arms "You have to take care , death is surrounding you"

The green-eyed boy was about to roll his eyes and make a comment when one of the candles that had been lit on the chandelier fell down and almost set his robe on fire.

Babs just made an "Oh" before trying to keep the fire from consuming his robes.

Hal just heard Kara laughing in the background.

Hal didn't exactly believe in "those things" but there the thing with the candle had been a freaky coincidence.

But then while he was having a quiet lunch with the Quidditch team for some reason the soup cauldron dropped over his head, dripping over him the content and hitting his head with the vessel.

"Do you think that Trewlaney finally has gotten a prediction right?" Kara joked a little while handing him a napkin and cleaning her own robes since some of the soup had dripped over

"It's just a coincidence" The brown haired boy muttered cleaning himself, there was no way he would believe in those things.

But you are a wizard, a half blood but a wizard, he thought.

"One time is a coincidence, twice its just a happening, if it happens a third time you are going to die" Tatsu, their newest recruit along with Jill, said.

The whole team looked at her as if she had two heads, she just sighed and explained "It's in Fifth Year Divination's book"

"Oh"

Babs hold out her note pad to write it down for later research, then the redhead said while clasping a hand on his shoulder "I'll investigate about it, and if you die…well, I'll miss the Honeyduke sweets you buy for me"

"You are a great friend, Gordon" He said rolling his eyes and thinking about how much time he had to change his clothes before Potions.

He shuddered about having to go to class in dirty robes as Snape would surely comment about it and give him detention, and he shuddered once again at the thought of getting late to class because of changing his robes as Snape wasn't really comprehensive towards students who got late to class (especially Griffindors and after lunch)

Against his friends' advice, Hal then decided to change his robes and run towards the Potion's classroom as if Carol was chasing him, or as if Jessica had cooked something vegan while using magical ingredients.

He didn't know which was worse.

"Hey, Hal Jordan" A voice said behind him and clasping a hand over his shoulder.

The brown haired boy turned around and saw his ex-girlfriend, he took a breath and said "Hey, Carol…how are you?"

She was about to say something when his now girlfriend Jill appeared and shoot them a quizzical look while motioning them in.

Oh, the tension. (He heard that with Oliver's voice in his head)

"I'll see you after class" Carol said winking at him while Jill just rolled her eyes.

Hal sighed, if he was lucky Babs and Oliver would save him.

Snape was writing down something on the board so he didn't really notice when they got into the classroom, he sat by Oliver's side since they shared classes with the Slytherins. He noticed that Zatanna Zatara was shooting daggers at Oliver's head since the last game.

Was it really that uncomfortable for her to have the snitch taken from her ear? (well it wasn't her ear but kind of)

"Hey, captain" The blonde said as a way of greeting while chopping some herb that Hal didn't recognize.

"Hey, captain" He greeted his friend back.

Suddenly Snape turned to the class and said in his usual tone "Mr. Jordan had finally decided to grace us with his distinguished presence in our classroom"

The brown haired boy just rolled his eyes but he could feel his cheeks burning a little, he didn't know why Snape looked down on him so much but he could guess that it had to do with the fact that his brother Jack had been a Slytherin and one of the only acceptable students the Potions' Master had in so many years of teaching.

Still he seemed to hate him more since his younger brother, Jim, had been sorted into Ravenclaw (of all houses) and was one of the very few first years that didn't get on his nerves.

"Wassup…professor" Hal said trying to keep his coolness while Snape gave him a glare that would have killed him if glares were an Avada Kedavra.

Babs just facepalmed, she knew that it would probably mean that he would be getting detention again and she would have to help him do all his homework.

Then suddenly the cauldron in front of Hal exploded and left both Quidditch captains drenched in some potion.

Snape just crunched his nose and said "20 points from Gryffindor"

"But Queen was…" The redhaired tried to save her friend (and the cup for her House but mostly her friend.

"25 points from Gryffindor, I suggest you don't make them 30" The Potions Master said while turning back to the board "Oh, and clean this mess up"

Hal just cringed while Babs just wrote down the incident

By the time dinner came he was sure that he smelt like something Filch would have to clean up after his cat threw up.

First the soup, then that potion and now Mrs Norris actually puked on him.

He was starting to consider this one of his worst days ever.

Till he heard the news about his brother coming to visit for a demonstration at the Dueling Club along with Kara's cousin and Bruce Wayne (he didn't have a problem with those two but he knew that the blonde girl would throw a fit)

He was going to the Main Hall (by himself since he went to change his clothes after a brief discussion with Oliver and Babs) when he noticed that Carol was behind him.

"Hey Hal Jordan"

He resisted the urge to scream but he couldn't resist the urge to run away from her and so he ran…but somehow he fell down on his face and broke his nose.

After that his back luck seemed to have ran out and Babs just kept some notes, and his homework. Madame Pompfrey just shook her head muttering that "It wouldn't have happened to Jack" while she put some kind of band over his handand Hal just wanted to go back to his room and sleep.

"Carol wants to visit you here" Barry commented about the matter while resisting the urge to laugh.

"I'm lucky that I'm a Gryffindor" He simply said.

"As if that could stop her"

"Shut up"
