Ooooh boi, this story was a long time in the making. I started working on this one back in February, but I got hit with a block and wasn't able to finish it.
Glad to see that I'm able to finish it. I hope that you all enjoy the newest chapter of Gym Jobs! Please leave ideas for the next one in the comments. I'm happy to take suggestions as to who should be mind-controlled next and by whom~
Lucas groaned as he felt the sun beat down on him.
The 19 year old trainer had been walking for quite a while now on a rather hot day. The sun had been ruthless for the past week, but today was something else. He could see Wingulls hiding under the trees to avoid the ridiculous heat, as opposed to flying around.
"Arceus…. What the hell is going on?" he mumbled as he stepped off the beach of Route 213 and onto the soft grass. Looking ahead, he saw what resembled a wall of trees, unlike any he'd ever seen before in his life. Big, dark green trunks, leaves that drooped down to the floor.
"First time coming to Pastoria?" a voice said from behind, making the young adult jump in surprise. He turned around and saw a friendly looking, rather chubby man wearing a white dress shirt and black pants with a pair of suspenders.
"Um… yeah it is" Lucas muttered, sweat running down his forehead "How did you?"
"That look on your face, tends to be how new people react to seeing Pastoria Trees." the man chuckled "There aren't really trees like that anywhere in Sinnoh"
"It's not really this hot anywhere else in Sinnoh either" Lucas grumbled, holding his grey jacket in his hand
"Heh, well that is very true. That's the Great Marsh. If you think it's hot here, trust me my friend you haven't seen anything yet"
"Oh joy…." the trainer mumbled "More heat stroke" he turned to the man "Is there any place in Pastoria that's cool? Cause last I checked, Centers don't have AC"
"They don't indeed. Government budget cuts" the man shrugged "There is one place in town, the gym. Being a water type, the place tends to be rather cool, but its closed today. Crasher is busy"
"Water type Gym?" Lucas asked, as the two began walking towards the gate to Pastoria "Isn't Crasher a wrestler? I thought he'd be a fighting type gym leader."
"That's what most people assume" the man chuckled as they left the sand and stepped onto the wet, marshy grass that surrounded Pastoria, with Lucas' sneakers sinking into the mud slightly. "But no, he's not. That's Maylene"
"So, why?"
"No one really knows" the man said with a shrug, the two walking through the marsh "Some people think he just likes swimming, others think it's that he tried to get a license for a Fighting type gym, but his team wasn't up to snuff, so he went for water."
"Huh" the black haired trainer muttered, swatting some insects that tried to bite him "So what do you think?"
"Me? Oh I think its due to the fact he spends so much time in the marsh, he wanted a place for his pokemon to swim around in that was cleaner than the swamp water. Speaking off" the man smiled and pointed at the gate "We're here"
"Heh, that we are" Lucas chuckled, giving the guy one last smile before heading inside "Thanks for the company!"
"No problem. Hope you enjoy your time" the man called as Lucas stepped through the gate into Pastoria City proper.
The town looked interesting to say the least, especially compared to Hearthome, the sight of his last Gym Battle. The place was a strange mix of a big city and a small little village.
There was a mix of large skyscrapers so tall, they had special perches for Flying types to nest and rest on, high tech facilities like Pokemon Centers. But other spots were more rustic, like old wooden houses on raised platforms to not touch the soft swampy ground, large shacks with simple bridges connecting them, and even the Pokemart looked more like a small town mom and pop shop with a statue of a Crogunk standing on the outside, greeting all the customers.
"Huh. Interesting place" Lucas muttered as he walked down the road, making sure not to step into the swamp. As he walked down the road, two things drew his eyes.
The first was the gym. It looked like a regular pokemon gym, but it was completely plastered in posters for some festival or another, loads of Crogunks and a few ads for Crasher's next match.
But the one that really drew Lucas' eyes was the entrance to the Great Marsh.
It was an enormous marble structure with Crogunks carved into the pillars, made to resemble them holding it up. A huge glass door was constantly sliding open and closed as people headed inside and out.
"So…. That's the Safari Zone Barry was going on about last week…" Lucas muttered, blinking at the sheer size of the building. He glanced back at the gym, then shrugged "Well, place is closed. Might as well check out the swamp" he said, as he took off towards the giant building.
Lucas' eyes went wide as he stepped inside.
If the building was impressive on the outside, the inside was something else. It was clearly the most high tech building in the town. It looked like the lobby of a very very expensive hotel, with fancy red rugs, statues of Crogunks lined the walls, and carvings of ancient people living alongside Pokemon on every wall.
"Hello!" a friendly voice chirped from behind. Looking around, Lucas smiled as he saw the receptionist grinning at him "Welcome to the Great Marsh Safari Zone!"
"Thanks" the boy smiled as he walked closer to the desk "So, how exactly does this work?"
"First time?" the woman asked with a friendly smile, to which the trainer nodded "Eh, don't worry, most people are confused when they first arrive. Now, the big rule is simple. You cannot use you're pokemon at all inside the Great Marsh"
"Wait, none of them?"
"None" the woman shook her head "Actually, you can't even enter with them. While we do allow catching to keep the population under control, we keep the introduction of foregin pokemon to the ecosystem to zero. That means, no trained pokemon inside at all"
"Huh… Alright" Lucas shrugged and handed over his team. The woman smiled and took them with a nod, and handed him a small sack filled with Safari Balls.
"Here you are. I wish you the best of luck. And please remember to watch you're step. The marsh can be dangerous if you don't look where you go"
"Got it!" Lucas nodded and grabbed the bag with a huge smile. He waved at the woman and headed for the big glass doors that led to the marsh itself. Beyond the door, he could see trainers walking around, carefully stepping over the darker patches of water as they looked for rare pokemon.
"Welp, here we go" the trainer said, gripping the bag tighter "The gym leader is in here somewhere. Time to go hunting!" with that he dashed through the door into the marsh. The moment he exited, he was blasted with humid air, the sound of buzzing wings of Bug Types, and the splashing of water. His eyes grew wide as he got a good look at just how big the Marsh was.
It stretched out for miles and miles, so large he couldn't see the other end. Bird pokemon flew above him, diving down to grab some food from the water, only to disappear far to the left or right.
"Dear Dialga...:" he muttered as he blinked, sweat pouring down his forehead "This place is a lot bigger than I thought…" he shook his head "Fuck me, this was a bad idea…" he said as he started slowly trudging ahead, going deeper into the swamp.
4 HOURS LATER
"Right…. Careful…" Lucas muttered as he stepped around the deeper marshes. He had been walking for hours, and so far he'd managed to get his hands on quite a few pokemon he'd been looking for quite a while now.
Woopers, Bibarels, Yanmas, Arboks, Tropius and various other pokemon that Lucas had never seen before in life popped out of the water and the trees right at him. Most of the time he barely had time to pull out the Safari balls and throw them. But still no sign of his actual quarry, the gym leader.
"Arceus… just how big is this damn swamp" Lucas muttered as he jumped from the mossy floor to a nearby rock. He glanced over the horizon, but saw almost nothing but miles and miles of marshy land. "God I'm gonna be here all da-"
"CARNI!" a scream rang out behind him, as water splashed. He quickly turned around and screamed as he saw a Carnivine jump right at him, gaping maw wide open as if it wanted to eat him whole.
"HOLY SHIT!" Lucas shouted, taking a step back by sheer instinct, only to slip on the edge of the rock "GAH!" he screamed as he fell right into the marshy water, a loud splash ringing through the entire swamp. The boy struggled as he went underneath the dark, almost pitch black water, kicking and flailing as he tried to get his way back to the surface. His eyes went wide as he felt something wrap around his waist.
A second later, he was pulled upwards rather violently. Coughing violently, Lucas blinked rapidly as he saw that the Carnivine was the one who pulled him up. He glared at the Pokemon as he finally got a good look at the pokemon.
It was covered in various bits of junk. Bags, belts, the little safari zone ball holders. Its vines shot out and headed towards his hat.
"Grr…" Lucas growled "A pokemon thief…"
"Carnie!" the pokemon laughed as it wrapped its vines on Lucas' beret
"HEY! Let go off that!" Lucas shouted, struggling against the mon's vines. The large grass type just snickered as it lifted Lucas' hat off his head
"Vine!" it laughed as it put it on its own head.
"Grr, you little piece off!" Lucas shouted as he struggled, managing to loosen one of his arms. His eyes went wide as he felt his arm freeing up, letting him reach his belt. And by extinction, the little bag with balls. "Right, that's the last thing you're snatching, grass head"
"Carn?" the pokemon looked over, clearly confused by Lucas' words. But the mna just smiled and pulled a Safari ball from the bag and threw it right at the pokemon.
The Carnivine's eyes went wide as it felt the back smack it right in the face, but before it could really react, the ball opened and sucked it inside, falling to the water and floating as it wiggled. All the stuff it stole on the other hand, didn't follow it inside. Instead they all fell down to the water, splasing onto it as they floated. Lucas smiled as he stood waist deep in the water, reclaiming his hat and putting ti back where it belonged.
"Well that went better than it could have." Lucas muttered as he grabbed the ball and clamped it on his belt and looked over his new catch's stash. It was a huge pile of bags, around 4 backpacks, one pair of goggles, what looked like underpants, and a small messenger bag. "Yikes, Carnevine liked stealing, didn't it…" he muttered as he grabbed the closest thing, the messenger bag. "Hope there's ID or something inside…" he said as he opened it up.
Inside the bag were six pokeballs, a couple of notebooks, but most interesting of all was a mask with three large fish like rings coming out of the top.
"HEY!" he heard a rather loud shout from behind, that made him drop the bag and turn around. Glaring at him was a rather huge man, wearing a big brown leather trenchcoat, and bright blue pants and boots, and a mask identical to the one he found in the bag.
"H-Hi there si- WOAH!" Lucas exclaimed as the man grabbed him by the collar and dragged him to the top "THE HELL!?"
"So you're the thief that's been messing around with the people in the marsh!?"
"T-Theif!?" Lucas exclaimed "W-What!? NO! I'm not a thief!"
"Oh don't pretend when you have the goods all around you!" the man growled at him "I've been wandering around this swamp for hours, trying to track you down, scumbag! And to think, its someone with such promise. I was actually looking forward to you challenging my gym"
"Your gym… Y-Your Crasher Wake!?" Lucas shrieked, his eyes going wide in terror
"Course I am!" the gym leader shouted, shaking Lucas a bit, making the young man a bit queasy. "Guess you should have told your pokemon to be more careful about who it stole from!"
"W-Wait, i-it wasn't my pokemo-"
"Oh stuff it!" Crasher hissed, shaking Lucas a bit more "I saw you return that Pokemon to its ball!"
"WHAT! NO! I didn't get it to steal those things!"
"Be quiet!" Crasher hissed, making Lucas whimper "Sad to see a promising Trainer like you turn out like this." the large man reached down with his free hand and grabbed one of the pokeballs from his bag, tossing it out and releasing a Poliwrath.
"Poly!" the Water Type pokemon chirped, looking at Crasher and Lucas
"W-Wait what are you gonna do?"
"You broke the law" Crasher Wake said, still clearly angry "You stole a lot. So that means you have to do Community Service"
"Communi- I DID NOT STEAL ANYTHING!" Lucas screamed at the top of his lungs, kicking and struggling
"Still denying it?" Crasher shook his head "Whatever. Poliwrath. Use Hypnosis"
"Poli!" the Tadpole Pokemon saluted, before pointing his chest at Lucas. It glowed a soft pink as waves emerged out, right at the young trainer's face.
"Whu…." Lucas muttered, his eyes going a bit hazy as he felt the energy course through him.
"Sleep" Crasher whispered and Lucas' body obeyed, his eyes closing instantly, and he knew no more.
"Gah…. my head…" the young man grumbled, blinking as the light hit his overly sensitive eyes "Arceus, what hit me? A rampaging Gyrados?"
While his eyes were still adjusting, his nose was functioning with no issues. And it was flooded with a rather unique smell. The smell of chlorine flooded his nostrils, and he could hear the splashing of water jets. His eyes adjusted quickly and he got a good look at the area.
He was indeed in a place with a pool. A rather huge pool at that.
He was on a platform that overlooked the entire thing from above and it was quite the sight. Different jets blasted out water at different intervals, making the floaties inside bounce back and forth like pinballs in the world's biggest pinball machine. A few big round platforms littered the water, allowing someone with good jumping skills to cross without ever getting wet.
"What the hell is this place?" Lucas muttered as he grabbed the side of his head and slowly stood up
"This is my gym!" a voice boomed behind him, making Lucas jump in shock, quickly turning around.
Standing over him, arms crossed and a death glare on his face, was Crasher Wake, and next to him was the Poliwrath that he had used on Lucas back in the swamp.
"Your gym!? What the fuck is the big idea!?" Lucas shouted, waving his arms like a madman as he shouted at the gym leader "You snatched me from the middle of the swamp! What did you think people would be ok with that!?"
"They were pretty ok with it after I explained the situation to them" Crasher said, walking closer to Lucas "That I caught a thief in the Great Marsh"
"For the hundredth time! I'm not a fucking theif!" Lucas screamed at the man "That pokemon wasn't mine! I caught it so it would let me go!"
"Of course you did," Crasher hissed, glaring at Lucas again. The boy squeaked and jumped back a bit. "I also did a little job of investigating you. Turns out this isn't even your first offence."
"W-What!? What are you talking about?" Lucas hissed
"I made a few calls about you. Wanted to get a good idea who exactly I was dealing with. Turns out, your not only a thief, but also a vandal and have committed assault on multiple occasions"
"Wait what?! The fuck are you talking about!?" Lucas shouted, glaring at the man
"I talked to Gardenia, and she told me about how you broke into the Galactic Building and started assaulting the people inside. And then in Veilstone, you and a friend of yours attacked two members of Team Galactic who were guarding their private warehouse, before you broke in and stole the Fly HM from them!"
"W-WHAT!?" Lucas shouted, his eyes going wide "Y-Your believing those criminals over me!?"
"Criminals? So you want to add defamation to your list?"
"Defamation!? Defamation means it's a lie! Their thieves who steal pokemon and tried to take over the Valley Windworks!"
"Are you seriously trying to put that incident on Team Galactic? We have security footage of it, and it showed a pack of random hooligans breaking and wrecking the place. A few had Team Galactic-esque hairstyles, so that's why some people confused them. At least that's the police's guess."
Lucas just stared ahead, a look of complete bafflement evident on his face. "W-What?"
"You heard me. Pinning the blame of a group that's doing nothing but energy research is just a low blow, even for a thief like you"
"I'm not a fucking theif!" Lucas shouted, his face going red and, without thinking, throwing a punch. His fist smacked against Crasher's stomach, not even making the pile of muscle budge an inch. Lucas' eyes went wide as he looked up slowly, a cold sweat running down his face as he realised exactly what he just did.
"And assaulting a Gym Leader" Crasher growled, grabbing Lucas' arm "I think the evidence speaks for itself"
"W-What are you gonna do to me?" Lucas stammered out, his eyes wide in fear as he realised how easily Crasher could grab and bend him to his will.
"Normally, I'd lock you up for years and take away your Trainer's License" Crasher said, tightening his grasp on Lucas' arm to the point the young man hissed in pain "But you're too good a trainer to waste your skills like that. So I'm gonna go ahead and do something else"
"W-Wait… Y-You can't do that! T-the cops have to give me a trial!" Lucas stammered out, trying to wriggle his way out of the iron grip the Gym Leader had on him.
"Hmph, that may be how it works in little podunk towns like Twinleaf Town. But in cities like here, Gym Leaders can deal with any criminals we catch as we see fit."
"T-There's no way that's legal!" Lucas cried as he saw the Poliwrath move out from behind its trainer
"It is. Cynthia trusts us to deal with criminals we catch in our gyms, but she never made it clear that we can only punish crimes we catch inside our gyms."
"W-What are you gonna do to me?" Lucas muttered
"I'm not gonna let your talents go to waste." Crasher said calmly as Poliwrath walked next him, staring at Lucas. "So, instead of locking you up, you're gonna work here for this day on"
"W-What? H-How are you gonna do tha-"
"Poliwrath, Hypnosis" Crasher ordered. The Pokemon nodded, and looked at Lucas, a beam of pink energy shooting out of its spiral stomach and hitting Lucas' face.
"W-Wait…" Lucas shouted, before his face went completely slack as he stared ahead dumbly, looking at both Crasher Wake and Poliwrath.
"Is he under?" Crasher asked his pokemon.
"Wrath!" the pokemon nodded. Crasher grinned and walked closer to Lucas, who just stared into empty air, drool beginning to drop from his mouth.
"Right, tell me you name boy" Crasher ordered, testing his control "And how old you are"
"My name…..Lucas….." he mumbled out, as if the act of speaking was difficult to him right now "I'm…. 19…. Turning 20…. In a month….."
"Good" Crasher said "Right, let's try something more personal. Do you have a girlfriend?"
"No….. Not interested…..in girls….." Lucas stammered out, a dopey smile forming on his face "Like….guys…. No boyfriend though….."
"Huh, interesting" Crasher said, shrugging, "Well not like that affects things" the man grabbed Lucas' hat and threw it off his head. "Now let's get started with this. I want you to listen to me very carefully, Lucas'' the entranced young man nodded and slowly shifted his eyes to Crasher.
"Forget Twinleaf, forget your journey, forget your friends. None of that matters!" Crasher said firmly
"None…..matters…" Lucas muttered, his eyes going wide as his brain was slowly being emptied. Crasher smirked as he saw that expression on the trainer's face.
"You don't care about a pokemon journey. The idea of traveling the region is horrific to you" Crasher said, walking back and forth in front of the entranced young man. His clothes were rather bulky, but the gym leader could tell there was something to work with underneath it "You want to stay here in the gym. The gym is where you belong. You never want to leave"
"Never…..want to leave…...hate traveling…." the boy muttered as his brain was slowly rewritten. His body trembled and shivered in a strange pleasure, his pants tenting slightly.
"Oh?" Crasher muttered as he saw this, a smirk on his face "So, you enjoy this don't ya? Hehe, I can work with that. Take those clothes off"
"Yes sir" Lucas said as he stripped. He took off his hat, jacket, pants, shoes and socks off, throwing them over the edge and into the pool behind him. He stood in front of his new master, clad in only his tenting boxers.
He wasn't muscular in the slightest, he was quite spindley and pale with very little body hair, despite his age. His black hair was stuck to his head, as the heat of the swamp made it stick to it completely to his head.
"Hmmm" Crasher muttered as he looked over the trainer, then pointed at those tented boxers "Take those off"
"W-What?" Lucas muttered, blinking as he woke up slightly. Crasher nodded at his pokemon, who blasted the young man with another blast of hypnosis
"I said, take them off" Crasher ordered again
"Yes sir…" Lucas said, in an even deeper trance than before. He stepped out of his underwear robotically, tossing the dirty sweaty thing over into the chlorine filled water without a thought. He stood up straight, his member twitching and pulsing as it stood up as well. A small bush of hair at the base, the rest was smooth and without any blemish.
Crasher nodded and took a step back "Good slave" he said with a smirk.
"Thank you sir…" Lucas muttered, staring blankly ahead.
"Next time put them under like this on the first go round, Poliwrath" Crasher told his pokemon as he stood up in front of Lucas.
"Poli…." the water type pokemon muttered, scratching the back of its head, clearly a bit embarrassed.
"We'll have to train your hypnosis a bit more," Crasher said, looking back at the boy in front of him. He was just standing there, his eyes blank as he stared ahead, his cock bouncing up and down by sheer momentum. "Now, as for you…." he walked closer to Lucas and smiled as he saw the blank look in the man's face "I think its best if you get a new job. Listen to me carefully." he said, poking Lucas' member.
The young man didn't react, so far under trance that even that action did nothing. Crasher smiled and began to rub it slowly.
"Your name is Lucas" Crasher said, as he looked into the young man's eyes. "You are not a pokemon trainer. You are a wrestler. You live for wrestling, for showing off, to show that you are the best"
"Yes sir" the man muttered, staring ahead blankly. The empty spots that were created earlier were slowly being filled.
"You have lived in Pastoria all your life. You never want to leave it. You adore showing off for everyone here, showing them that you are a great wrestler." Crasher continued. He nodded at Poliwrath, who dashed off to get something for Lucas. "You obey me. I am your teacher and master. You are obidient to me and no one else. You care about nothing but pleasing me, about doing what I tell you to do"
The young man didn't notice however, still staring blankly ahead as Crasher's words bounced around inside his head. One of his eyes, though, started twitching, as memories began to clash.
"Now I want you to take all those thoughts and memories that don't fit" Crasher said "All those thoughts of training pokemon. All those memories of traveling across the region, of battles and badges. I want you to press them against your skin."
"Yes sir" Lucas muttered blankly, his cock still twitching as he felt all those memories move through his body. He unconsciously shivered as he felt it move, emptying his brain of memories. His mom, his first pokemon, his favorite food, his likes and dislikes. All of that began to pour out of his skin, as sweat.
"Heh, perfect" Crasher said "Now, the moment that sweat goes away, those memories will be washed away. All that will remain will be the obidient wrestler who does whatever I tell him to. Understood?"
"Yes sir" Lucas nodded, his brain spinning as his memories were replaced. Crasher smirked and just pushed him.
The entranced young man fell over the edge of the platform and right into the cold water of the pool.
The moment he came in contact with the water, he woke up, gasping as he stood, water up to his chest, blinking rapidly. All old memories of his life evaporated, as the sweat was washed off his body. He groaned and grabbed his head, shaking his head as he looked around.
"LUCAS!" a familiar voice rang out from above. The naked young man looked up, and saw the familiar face of Crasher Wake looking down at him.
"Oh master!" he stammered, blushing as he realised he was naked in front of him. He covered up his bits with a blush
"Oh stop doing that, it's nothing I haven't seen before" Crasher said "Now get up here!"
"Yes master Crash!" Lucas said, swimming to the edge and quickly scampering back to the platform. When he got there, he was greeted by Poliwrath holding out a bundle of clothes for him.
"Get dressed" Crasher said "We've got a sparring match soon, so you need to be in uniform"
"Yes master!" Lucas said with a smile and grabbed the clothes, quickly slipping them on. A pair of shorts, some stirrups, gloves and a mask, all of them themed after the local mascot, Crogunk. He felt right wearing them, he felt like he was complete "Thank you sir. I don't know why I took it off"
"Well, you still need to get cleaned some times" Crasher said with a laugh, smacking Lucas' back "Now, come on. We've got a big sparring match to get to"
"Yes master!" Lucas said with a huge smile. Wrestling was his life, and he couldn't think of anything he'd love doing more than this.
