Chapter 3

Carly stared at the photo in awe. She had never seen any photos of their mom before. She was short brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a red v-neck t-shirt and blue jeans.

"She's our mother?" Carly questioned. Spencer sighed and walked over next to his sister.

"Not our mother." He spoke. "Your mother." Spencer said putting emphasis on 'your'. Carly noticed this and shifted her eyes up to her brother.

"What do you mean?" She asked. "You're my brother."

"Techincally, I'm your half-brother." Spencer replied, itching the back of his neck. Carly's mouth dropped in shock. "Look, Carls, I know this is a lot to take in."

"A lot to take in?" Carly repeated with her eyes narrowed at her brother. "All I hear right now is that you've been lying to me my whole life!" She yelled. "You and Dad! Was he ever going to tell me about her? Is this why we've never spoken about mom?" She had so many questions for her brother.

"It's a little bit why." Spencer admitted. Carly shook her head. Her brain was spinning, filling with more and more questions. "And Dad was planning on tell you when you were older. When he left for the Air Force, he told me to tell you when I thought you were ready." He explained.

"Then why didn't you tell me?" She barked, demanding to know. "Why'd you let me find out on my own?"

"Honestly, I didn't know how or when to tell you." He shrugged, putting his hands into his back pockets. "I thought it would be easier if you find out on your own." He paused staring at her for a brief moment. "I guess I was wrong."

Carly stood there unsure what to do. She was so mad at Spencer for not telling her, she could barely look at him. She felt so betrayed by her brother. She could never trust him again. From the moment she was born, everything in her life has been a lie.

"Carly." Spencer spoke, breaking the silence. She didn't take her eyes off the ground. "I'm sorry." Her eyes darted up towards him, giving him a cold stare.

"Sorry isn't good enough, Spencer." She replied, then snatched the letters. She stormed past Spencer, pushing him out of way and headed off to her bedroom, slamming the door once she got there.

As the night grew darker, Carly was still awake in her bedroom. She had heard Spencer go to bed a couple hours ago. He didn't bother saying goodnight to his Carly. After what happened earlier, he knew he should leave Carly leave for the rest of the night. Try and talk to her again in the morning.

Carly had her gummy bear light on as she sat cross legged on her bed. The letters she had found were spreed out throughout it. She had been reading the letters between her dad and A.P. She still didn't know what her mother's first name was, but it was Something starting with an 'A' Parker.

Amanda Parker? April Parker? Angela Parker?

They're had to be a way for Carly to find out.

Seriously, how many A. Parkers could there be in the world? And how many of them had a daughter named Megan Parker?

Then it hit her. A smile appeared on her face as thought of a someone who could help her. Someone who could help her locate her biological mother. Someone who was tech savvy. Someone who would do anything for her.

She grabbed her phone off her nightstand and sent out a S.O.S text...

To Freddie.
