MAJOR CHARACTERS
Rin Kagamine

Rin Kagamine is the main protagonist for this story. She was born alongside her younger twin brother Len in a middle class family. At the age of 3, she befriended a 5 year old girl named Miku who became her best friend for years to come. Rin was always pretty inept and easy to satisfy. When Miku and Len started dating, she became the third wheel of their trio. When she found out that her brother and best friend joined the department, she was happy for them. She didn't knew she'll be forced to join. The trio befriended another cop named Gumi just as they joined. Gumi was someone who Rin could talk to when Miku or Len don't have time. She first appeared in Chapter 2, annoying her boss Meiko, before she gets the news of Miku and Len being murdered. She loses her will to live and attempts suicide multiple times, with all attempts beìng unsuccessful. Eventually, she and Gumi find out that Yohioloid did it and go on a quest to kill him against Meiko's orders. She kills 10 people in the shootout. In the end, she kills Yohioloid and Meiko forgives her for not following orders after seeing Rin's will and determination. In the epilogue, it is revealed that Rin still lives with her parents and adopts two kittens, she names them Haruka and Ayato, the names Miku and Len wanted for their children. Rin appears in all chapters except Chapter 1.
Gumi Megpoid

Gumi Megpoid is the deuteragonist for this story. She is one of the only two Caucasian characters in the story. She is the daughter of two American immigrants in Japan. Both her parents died in a plane crash when she was two months old. She was raised by her uncle who was a Japanese man that became her father's brother through a blood oath. She was always bullied by the other kids for being Caucasian, sometimes physically. Her uncle was the only person who was always nice to her. When she got old enough, she decided that she should get a job and support herself on her own, so she joined the department where she met and befriended Miku, Rin, and Len. In Chapter 1, she found Miku and Len laying dead on the murder spot, she was their first friend to find out. She still feels guilty for not getting their in time. After a few days, she and Rin find out that Yohioloid did it, they go on a quest to kill him against Meiko's orders. That day, she gets in a fight with notorious hitman Piko who kills her in the fight. Piko later resuscitates her and she's forced to retire from her job. In the epilogue, it is revealed that Piko has sworn to serve her for the rest of her life as a payment for crippling her and putting her in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Gumi is the only character to appear in all chapters of the story.
Yohioloid

Yohioloid was the main antagonist for this story, he was born in the United States and is one of the only two Caucasian characters in the story. Most of the information about his early life is unknown. What is known is that he was forced to fight and he won alot. He wasn't happy with that life, so he left that life behind and illegally went to Japan. He became homeless there and his life remained garbage. Then he met a gym coach named Luka, who changed his life. He finally knew what it was like to care about someone. He fell in love with her, but before he could confess, it was too late. Luka died because of how badly Miku, Rin, and Len handled the situation, he swears revenge on them and joins the department to get closer. In Chapter 1, he kills Miku and Len just after Len had proposed to her. He quits his job as a cop to avoid getting caught. He had already taken over a mansion owned by a man named Big AL, and his plan was to kill Rin, frame someone else, and leave the country with Big AL's money. Rin finds his location, storms the mansion, and starts battling him. At first, it was going even, but Rin eventually starts putting a beatdown on him, he hears Luka's voice as he receives the beating. Rin shoots him in the head to finally kill him. He appears in all the chapters except the epilogue.
Meiko

Age: 31 (at the time of Luka's death), 34 (Main Story)

Meiko is the commissioner of the department. She joined the department as a cop when she was 15 years old. She was chosen by the government due to how talented she was for someone so young. She proved to be incredible at her job and was made commissioner at the age of 20. Ever since she became commissioner, she realized how frustrating it is. Being a leader is hard, when other cops do something wrong, she always feels partially responsible. But she has always been a serious person. She is one of the most respected and feared people among everyone who knows her, and has earned everyone's loyalty. She first appeared in Chapter 2, being annoyed at Rin who's a pain in her ass. She suspects Yohioloid as Miku's and Len's murderer before anyone else but wants to keep it a secret until real evidence so Rin doesn't do anything crazy. This idea fails, and Rin goes to kill him. When Meiko finds out that Rin killed Yohioloid, she goes along with Rin's claim of self defence without any investigation because of how much respect she earned for her. She has a crush on a homeless man named Kaito, who she gives Big AL's mansion. Despite not appearing in the epilogue, it is confirmed that she's still commissioner. She appears in all chapters except Chapter 1 and Epilogue.
RECURRING CHARACTERS
Miku Hatsune

Age: 22 (at the time of Luka's death), 25 (Main Story)

Miku Hatsune was born in a middle class family in the same area as the Kagamine twins. At the age of 5, she befriended the then 3 year old Rin, and became her best friend for years to come. She did everything with Rin, she played with her, she studied with her, they discussed how they would look as adults etc. At first, Len was nothing more than her best friend's brother for Miku, but they started getting along as years went by, and strangely, they developed romantic feelings for one another and started dating in their teens. A few years after that, they joined the department. However, both of them wanted to work with Rin, so they offered Rin to join them. She reluctantly agreed. Miku and Len rigged all the tests she needed to pass to become a cop. They had succeeded in making Rin work with them. Miku first appears in Chapter 1 on a date with Len, he proposes to her, she accepts and they kiss. Yohioloid then reveals himself and kills Len. As she then starts to cry on her fiance's dead body, Yohiolid shows no mercy and shoots her in the chest and kills her. She then appears throughout the whole story through flashbacks. Before she died, she took Len's invisible ink pen and wrote "YOHIOLOID DID THIS" on a piece of paper she had in her pocket for some random reason. It pays off with Rin and Gumi finding the writing on the paper in Chapter 6. In the epilogue, Rin names her new female kitten Haruka, the name Miku wanted for a daughter.
Len Kagamine

Len Kagamine was born alongside his older twin sister Rin in a middle class family. Their childhood was like any other pair of siblings. They laughed together, cried together, got mad at eachother, fought alot, but still loved eachother more than any person in the world. When he first saw Miku, he developed a crush, and as years went by, this crush lead to him developing romantic feelings, and Miku started to feel the same way about him, so they started dating. A few years after that, they joined the department. However, both of them wanted to work with Rin, so they offered Rin to join them. She reluctantly agreed. Miku and Len rigged all the tests she needed to pass to become a cop. They had succeeded in making Rin work with them. Len first appears in Chapter 1 on a date with Miku, he proposes to her, she accepts and they kiss. Yohioloid then reveals himself. He tells the two of them about he has been fooling them for years and joined the department for revenge. Yohioloid gives him a horrific beatdown as Miku watched in horror, he then finishes the beatdown by killing him with a knee strike. Yohioloid then shoots Miku and escapes. Len then appears throughout the story through flashbacks. In one such flashback, it is revealed that he gave Rin some pepper spray before he went for the date. It pays off when Rin uses the pepper spray on Yohioloid before he could kill her to turn the tables in Chapter 13. In the epilogue, Rin names her new male kitten Ayato, the name Len wanted for a son.
Yuki Kaai

Age: 18 (Main Story), 21 (Epilogue)

Yuki Kaai is one of the most promising students in Japan. She first appears in Chapter 2 when one day, she was getting to her school as a careless truck driver was about to hit her when she wasn't paying attention. Gumi got her out of the way and saved her life. Gumi became her hero from that day onwards and someone she aspires to be like. She then appears in Chapter 8, to make her racist aunt give her Caucasian hero Gumi some free shaved ice. She makes one last appearence in the epilogue, where she is shown getting demolished in a arcade game when she meets her hero Gumi in a wheelchair for the first time.
Luka Megurine

Age: 26 (at the time of her death)
First appearence: Chapter 3
Luka Megurine is the only character to have died prior to the events of thr main story. Luka was a gym coach who took over their family gym from her father. When she was in her mid-teens, she met Yohioloid who was then in his early-teens. He came to her gym uninvited, and defeatec everyone there in a fight. He then told her about his homeless life and she agreed to let him live with her. As they spent time together in the gym, they got closer and closer. Yohioloid love for her became obvious to him. The day he decided to confess was the day Len and Gumi made a mistake in a mission. Len was about to check Luka for any weapons, she got scared and started running away. It led to her getting hit by a car. When Miku and Rin reach there, Miku attempted to call an ambulance but accidently called the fire brigade. Rin also slipped Luka's strectcher unintentionally. She couldn't survive. Yohioloid swears revenge and hears her voice in his final moments.
IA

Age: 26 (Main Story)

IA was one of the two assassins hired by Yohioloid to help him. She was born in a poor family and struggled with living in poverty for a substancial amount of her life. IA values her family more than anything and would do anything to make them happy. When she was in her mid-teens, she got a brawl with a man. The man was impressed with her fighting skills and offered her to become a hitwoman. IA was initially disgusted with being offered such an evil job and refused. However, he then kept reminding her how this help her family escape poverty and she eventually agreed to the job. She went on to commit 47 murders, including the man who offered her the job, with each kill, she became more barbaric and sadistic, she now loved her job. She doesn't know where her family is anymore, it was one of her goals to find them. After Yohioloid hires her and her good friend Piko, they begin to develope feelings for eachother. She gets in a fight with Rin who defeats her by shooting her in the right kidney. IA dies from that wound in the hospital shortly after realizing her love for Piko.
Piko Utatane

Age: 26 (Main Story), 29 (Epilogue)
First appearence: Chapter 3
Piko Utatane is one of the two assassins hired by Yohioloid to help him. He was born in a middle class family with a loving father and a loving mother. A few years later, the happiest moment of his life came. His sister was born. He loved his younger sister to bits and pieces. His life was going great and then, it was all ruined. His younger sister was diagonosed with Neuroblastoma. The parents tried everything they could, but they failed. She died at the age of 10. Piko was just a teenager and it was hard for him to accept this. His parents started blaming eachother and agreed to divorce. In the custody battle, his father won. This broke his mother's heart and she committed suicide. His father was arrested as it was suspected that he murdered her, after it was proven that he didn't, he was aquitted. But Piko never stopped believing the rumors and left his father. He was offered to become a hitman, he was told it was the best way for revenge. He didn't even thought about it and agreed to the job. He went on to commit 45 murders, including the judge who aquitted his father. After Yohioloid hires him and his good friend IA, they begin to develope feelings for eachother. He gets in a fight witn Gumi and kills her, however he later ends up resuscitating her after he was offered footage of his mother's death. In the epilogue, it is revealed that he has sworn to serve Gumi for the rest of her life to make up for crippling her. He also makes up with his father.
Big AL
Status: Alive
Age: 29 (Main Story)
First appearence: Chapter 5
Big AL is a rich Hispanic American man living in Japan. He got rich by working with the mafia and many other crime organizations. He hoped his secret will never be revealed. However, one day Yohioloid sneaks into his mansion, helds him hostage, and his guards betray him. He is forced to help Yohioloid in his plan, and is then locked up as Yohioloid takes over his mansion. Meiko frees him in Chaptet 13, but immediately arrests him. In the epilogue, it is revealed that after he was arrested, Meiko gave his mansion to Kaito. Whether he remained in jail or not is unknown.
Kaito
Status: Alive
Age: 34 (Main Story)
First appearence: Chapter 9
He only appears in Chapter 9. He's a pessimistic homeless man who's sick of his life. Not much is known about him, he was refusing to tell Rin and Gumi where Yohioloid is, before he was told Rin's situation. He then tells Meiko where they are, who developes a crush on him. In the epilogue, it is revealed that she gave Big AL's mansion to him.
Okay, now I'm finally done with this story. This was a fucking journey to be honest. Still can't believe my first story is over. Can't wait to write future stories. Writing this sure taught me so much. Goodbye guys!
