Some things referenced in this are from High republic books, and Rebels. I haven't watched Rebels but know about the events mentioned in this.
The next day, Jedi Temple…
Leia shows up at the Jedi Temple, expecting no more big surprises. She walks in the entrance and up the stairs. She senses Luke and Anakin in their quarters, so she goes to the Archives, taking a roundabout route, so she can stay away from them. After yesterday's craziness, she needs a break. She then walks over to the Garden of Ten Thousand Fountains and begins to meditate.
Leia breathes slowly, as she sinks deeper into the Force. She touches a fountain, then starts to see images of Jedi long past, a Mon Cal male Jedi, named Meenia teaching a young female Rodian, named Mado Soammu to release her emotions into the Force. She sees the maasive Kyber Arch, which had been dismantled over 80 years ago. It was made from the kyber crystals of Jedi who had passed away.
Vision
Ayyn'seca says, "Why is it impossible to cross the Kyber Arch alone?"
Her Master, Jedi Knight Na'tala, replies, "We must work together to cross the Arch because it exists to teach us that by working together, one can accomplish great things. Like the time in the Hezal System, where many Jedi worked together to stop the container of liquid tibanna from entering in to the system's sun, which would have caused an explosion that would have wiped out all life in the system."
"I just can't do it!", says a young Jedi Padawan, after trying and failing for hours at moving meditation.
"Trust in the Force. If you still can't get it in an hour, go find Master Eernt. She's way better at teaching that type of stuff then me, to be honest.", says the padawan's Master, who appears to be barely Knighted. She appears to be tired.
A younger version of Ahsoka walks past. Younger Ahsoka is holding hands with Anakin Skywalker.
"Hey, Skyguy. Can I please skip meditation so I can fix the stuff you did to my starfighter. Those modifications you added nearly got me killed.", says Ahsoka.
"Snips, I'll fix your fighter myself. I didn't mean to nearly get you killed.", says this younger version of her father.
"How can I trust that you will not break it?", says Ahsoka.
Did this version of Ahsoka have any idea of what her Master would become? Leia didn't think so.
"Snips, I would never try to get you killed.", says Anakin. Leia knew that ended up being a lie. She remembered reading Ahsoka's report of her duel with Vader.
End Vision
I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me. I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me.
These were the thoughts that ran through Leia's mind, as she tried to mediate. The Force was almost vibrating with waiting for something important to happen. After failing to mediate, she checks her comlink. Anakin sends her a message, saying to meet them in the High Council chamber, as Anakin wanted to explain something important to her. She walks over there, meeting with Ahsoka, Luke and Anakin.
Anakin sends a message to her datapad, then says, "I'll go through the report I just sent you with you. Barriss Offee and Luminara Unduli survived. As Vader, I captured them and tried to turn them into Inquisitors. The effort, codenamed Project Black Citadel, was a complete failure, as neither of them became Inquisitors. I told them both who I was to try to get them to become Inquisitors, but that failed. You might have a legal issue with Barriss, as she ended up being convicted in a Republic court, for the Temple bombing. As it turned out, she was mind-controlled into the bombing. If you need more information, I attached a copy of the evidence to the report, and it's named Attachment A. As Vader, I used the clone of Luminara Unduli as the bait to catch Jedi. She was the one you found in the Spire, Ahsoka, not the real Luminara."
Ahsoka interrupts, saying "Oh, that's why something didn't feel right. It was only slightly off, so I just pushed it down mentally inside me, remembering your teachings that say that you should just push it down. And Leia, I can tell that Skyguy's not lying. So, no need to spend tons of time investigating it."
Leia then says, "I watched the holonet footage of the whole temple bombing a while back. It looks like Chancellor Palpatine was there, which makes it easy to overturn the conviction, given what we know now."
Anakin replies, "We do however need a plan on how to explain what's happened since they were captured."
Leia says, "I'll explain. I'm so well known that she should have no problem fining images of me in the Alliance. Luke, not trying to hurt your feelings, but I was trained to lie as a diplomat, so I can cover up things we don't want to mention better than you can. You also look enough like Anakin, no offense, that if she hears that you are Luke Skywalker, it might not end well. After what happened on so many missions to me..."
Anakin interrupts Leia, saying "To top it off, I was the one who arrested Barriss for the whole Temple bombing thing."
Leia says, "Yet another reason you and Luke should stay away from them."
Anakin says, "Leia, Master Unduli didn't protect her Padawan enough. She failed her Padawan. She also hurt Ahsoka by voting to expel Ahsoka. Can I please freak her out, to make sure she will not annoy you or anyone else?"
Leia says, "Don't mess with Barriss. Master Unduli can be messed with only a little bit, and only if Ahsoka is okay with it."
Ahsoka replies, "Don't hurt her too badly, please Master. Just enough for her to learn not to do that again. I remember what happened to Leia after some missions. I think she still might have nightmares over what you did to her." Leia puts a finger to her lips, reminding Ahsoka to keep quiet on her having nightmares almost every night. The reason why she worked so many shifts was that if she tried to sleep before she was completely out of energy, she would have bad nightmares, some of missions that went wrong, and some of other horrible things. If she did what some called overworking, she would fall into a dreamless sleep for a while, and at least get some rest, even if not enough.
Anakin replies to his former Padawan, "Snips, I was just going to scare her and get a holo of her face to use as blackmail, if needed. The look on her face will be priceless." Ahsoka nods, then Anakin notices a sharp toothy smile on Ahsoka's face, as well as Leia's worried face relaxing.
Leia says, "Can you let Alderaanian Intelligence coordinate the blackmail if we really need to do it. My people are trained specifically to do that as a preventive measure against people trying to kill me."
Anakin says, "Sure, Leia."
Author's Notes: Remember the Rise of the old Masters Rebels episode? The prison in that episode is the Spire, I think. That's where the code name comes from.
