Ch 14: Multitudinous Happenings
~Beast's POV
Belle laid still for a long time. He watched as she finally stirred, yawning groggily.
"Beast?" she murmured, sitting up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. He could see her confusion as she looked around.
"Hello Belle." She jumped and spun her head to where he stood.
"Oh, what are you doing over there?" Her voice was calm, no note of fear to be found. She even had a shy smile on her face.
He could hardly believe it. Wasn't she supposed to be running away? She should fear him after what he'd done to her. Was this an act to make him feel better? It had to be.
"Don't pretend Belle. Not for my sake." His voice was empty, dead. Her smile faltered.
"Pretend?" Confusion colored her tone. He couldn't let himself believe it was real.
"Don't act as though you don't know what I mean." He gritted out. "That this wasn't a massive failure. I swear I'll never touch you again." She flinched as if he'd slapped her. He saw the hurt in her eyes, the pain.
"I wasn't-" her lips trembled, and she wrapped the sheet about herself, as if it was a shield of protection.
He was so angry with her. So angry she was playing down what he'd done. Furious with himself mostly that he had allowed it to happen at all.
"I should have never touched you. It was wrong."
The sob that tore from her throat grabbed his attention. The few times she had teared up, she pushed it away quickly. He'd never heard her actually sob before, and the fact she was doing so now tore him up inside. That he had caused it.
"I-I thought… well I guess it doesn't matter what I thought. I should have known better. How could I really expect you to want this?" She motioned to her form.
Her whispered words and utterly dejected expression had him floored.
She thought she was the problem? That she had displeased him?
Horrified, he advanced towards her, but she jumped up and backed away towards the door.
"I'll leave you. I promise I'll be gone by morning." She tried to turn away, but he caught her shoulders in his hands. Tears fell from her eyes as she struggled against him.
"Please let me go. I can't be near you like this knowing how you feel now. It hurts too much. Let me go."
Another small sob escaped her lips, she threw a hand over her mouth to quiet herself.
"Belle, no. Stop." He whispered. She stilled in his hands but continued to cry silently, her silent shakes shattering him completely.
"Look at me Belle."
She shook her head.
"Please don't make me." The heartbreak in her voice ripped him apart.
"Belle, look at me. Please." He begged.
Tearful eyes finally looked up at him.
"You did nothing wrong. You were wonderful and amazing. I enjoyed every inch of you." He told her heat from his eyes boring into hers.
"But you said-" he shushed her with his lips.
"I was speaking of what I had done to you. I lost control, and I hurt you. I've never been so ashamed of my actions. To actually enjoy the way I took you like that." He swallowed past his own emotion.
Belle looked on at him confused indignance in her eyes.
"What are you talking about? You never hurt me. Everything was so perfect. The way you touched me was everything I had ever hoped for and more."
The pure honesty in her voice and eyes couldn't be doubted. But still, he didn't understand.
"But the beast-" this time she cut him off.
"Neither you, nor the beast hurt me. I knew what I was asking for when you told me you were losing control. I wanted you too. I wanted the way you took me so badly. I loved every minute of it."
He was astounded.
"You liked it?"
Her saddened, but finally understanding expression made his chest ache.
"More than liked," she told him shyly, a small blush blooming on her shoulders. Then hesitantly she took his hand and led it beneath the folds of the sheet.
His paw gently swiped her stomach before finding her hard slick length, standing very much at attention. His gut clenched, watching the color in her cheeks deepen, and his cock jerked as she led his hand further down to feel her drenched core.
He saw her throat bob with desire and embarrassment.
"You see now?" She asked her voice husky, and after a deep breath she let the sheet fall away, revealing puckered nipples begging to be touched.
She wanted him.
She truly wanted him.
Beast could hardly stand the feeling of love that washed over him, looking at her. Baring all of herself, as uncomfortable with her body as she was, she was showing him how much she desired him.
They were back on the bed in a flash. Her body molded beneath his. And he kissed her. Like he'd never kissed her before. Slow, soft, teasing, pouring out all the love he had yet to express in words. She accepted him, took in all he had to give. Her legs parted asking unspoken to fill her.
The inner beast was awakening yet again, demanding to fulfil her every desire. Knowing it was yet again a losing battle, he obliged and kissed her deeply. She moaned from the simultaneous pressure.
But Beast wasn't going to lose total control this time. The demon might be leading the way, but Beast had the final say. And he promised to make this better than before, going as gently as he could.
Her body was sore, but the slow steady thrusts made her ache in an entirely different way. The slowness of the movements was torture, sweet blissful torture. It filled her so completely, made her shake with want. Her hips met his thrust for thrust, her cock sliding between them deliciously.
When she grew close her movements became more ragged. Sensing the impending orgasm, Beast slid his paw between them and began to stroke. The combined feel of his cock insider her while he rubbed hers was too much. She screamed his name as she came around him. It was only a few thrusts later that he too found his satisfaction.
They laid in perfect silence, enjoying the feel of release and love that was shared between them.
Beast looked over to see the contented look on Belle's face and felt satisfied. He'd successfully held back and brought them both pleasure. It was so much more than he deserved.
"Belle?"
Her eyes that had drifted closed, now opened looking at him with a sweet smile.
"Thank you."
Her brows rose with surprise and he could see she was confused.
"What are you thanking me for?" she stroked his face softly.
"For trusting me."
Her eyes softened considerably.
"You're the first person I've met that made me want to trust again. And you've been nothing but good to me. You deserve happiness you know."
He did know, well he knew he should be allowed to be happy. It was just incredible that he was.
"You do too. Will you let me be your happiness Belle?"
Her eyes filled slightly with unshed tears.
"You already are." She kissed his face tenderly.
He promised then, he would do everything in his power to love and care for her like she deserved.
So he kissed her deeply, his promise sealed with the joining of their lips.
…
A month in the castle came and went, and though on the outside not much had changed, the feelings on the inside had considerable transformation.
Beast, once a solitary angry brooding creature, was now almost always seen sporting a smile. Particularly when Belle was near.
His mood though occasionally gruff, was more and more congenial. His staff found him softer, his moods far less volatile than ever before. Each passing day with Belle seemed to make him more human, even if you couldn't tell at first glance.
And he was happy.
He'd never felt so loved and complete. Even as a human he'd never experienced such joys.
Belle for her part was opening up more as well. She grew more confident with herself and her body every day. Each night he strove to prove how much he loved it and that there was nothing about her that he would change.
And each morning he woke beside her and felt so complete he could hardly stand it. He often wondered how he could deserve such happiness.
Especially after a hard day.
Sometimes, when Beast was particularly stressed, his inner demon would come raging out.
It was a fairly rare occurrence, even more so with Belle's presence acting to calm his usually volatile temper. But occasionally, it surfaced.
Like today.
Beast had received word one of his surveyors was siphoning off funds meant to help one of the struggling villages. Many of the townspeople were sick and going hungry due to the surveyor's greed. In fact, a homeless mother and her infant had died.
They'd been sitting together in his study when the news came in. As soon as he read the words, he exploded, flipping the desk, roaring furiously. It was the first time Belle had witnessed his wrath firsthand.
He practically destroyed the office, channeling all his anger into tearing anything close by to pieces.
It wasn't until he'd turned towards her, rage in his eyes, that he realized what he'd done.
And Belle, the angel she was, stood there calmly, watching him with heartbroken eyes.
She'd walked to him and embraced him warmly.
Any fight left, vanished without a trace.
She just held him. Letting him borrow her strength.
He tried to apologize, but she shushed him. Told him it was okay. That he had a right to be upset. And most importantly, that she was there for him. That she wasn't going anywhere.
It had all been too much.
He needed her and she let him take her.
Now, they lay cuddled in bed, her arms wrapped around his waist, her breasts pressing into his back.
Though she was significantly smaller, he felt warm and surrounded, being held like that.
"You awake?" She whispered
He was still a little ashamed, and too tired to answer, so he laid still breathing evenly.
"I want you to know, I love every inch of you," her voice was low, as if she believed he was asleep and didn't want to disturb him.
Beast laid quietly, wondering what else she might say.
"But I wish I could take it away. Seeing you lose control today, it killed me."
Beast's eyes closed tightly, hating that he'd scared her.
"I hated seeing you in so much pain. I hated seeing how you looked when you saw me. Like you thought you ruined everything. Like you thought I was going to leave." Her voice broke a little, and Beast felt moisture in his eyes.
Of course, that is what she meant.
She wasn't scared of him. Just hurting for him.
"I'm never going to leave you." She pressed her lips into his back. "I love you so much. And if I could, I'd take the curse on for you. If the woman came tonight and asked, I'd do it without hesitation. I don't want you to hurt anymore."
Tears rolled down his face, and he turned, startling Belle, who was surprised to find he was awake.
"I- I thought you were asleep." She rubbed the tears from her eyes quickly.
"You are the most precious person I have ever met." Beast told her, eyes shining with love. "And I would stay a beast for all eternity if it means I get to keep you."
Belle nuzzled her head into his chest, breathing his scent in deeply.
"You're so good to me," she whispered. "I just- I just wish-" her voice trailed off, but Beast understood.
"I never thought I could find such happiness Belle. I might be doomed to be this way, but I wouldn't change it. Not if it meant I never would have met you."
Her smile was watery, and her kisses sweet. And for the first time, he truly didn't mind being who he was.
Contented, Beast fell asleep, thinking how perfect everything was, how nothing could make him happier.
…
Loud shouts startled Beast awake.
He sat up groggily, trying to get his bearings, realizing he was in Belle's bed. He smiled, as she too stirred sleepily, sitting up before even opening her eyes.
"Everything okay?" She murmured through a yawn while blinking rapidly. A drowsy smile adorned her face as she turned towards him.
But just as he was leaning in for a kiss, her face contorted to one of horror, as she backed away frightened.
Confused, Beast looked around trying to figure out what had happened.
The door to the room burst wide open, and Beast found himself shocked to see an oddly familiar man standing before him.
Stunned and confused, Beast was surprised when the man dashed into the room with a wide smile, tears in his eyes.
"You've done it. It's gone. Everyone's back!" Tears ran happily down his cheeks as he embraced Beast warmly. "My dear boy. Look at you. You're perfect."
More tears flowed, and Beast was so astonished he could hardly think.
"Lumiere?" He asked dazed.
The man nodded, teary eyed and laughing.
"Qui! Tis I. A miracle. And everyone too. Everyone's human!" He shouted merrily.
Human? Everyone… human?
He looked down, seeing for the first time, he too was transformed.
Fur no longer coated his hands. Fingers had replaced his claws. And as they found their way to his face, he felt tears from his own eyes as they met his cheeks.
His human face.
He could hardly believe it.
"Is this real?" He whispered, startled even at the sound of his own voice. It was different. Still deep, but smoother somehow.
"It's real. It's really real." Lumiere cried again, hugging him fiercely.
As the reality set in, his heart pounded.
It was over.
The curse was finally over.
Overjoyed, he sprang up from the bed, heedless of his nudity and danced with Lumiere in a circle.
Lumiere laughed and swatted at him.
"You're a human again, best you act like one and put on some clothes," he playfully chastised. But Beast didn't care. He'd dance around naked for the rest of his life if he pleased.
He was human!
"Everyone is back?" He asked again, grinning as Lumiere nodded.
"Everyone!"
"But how?" Beast was dumbfounded, happy but overwhelmingly confused.
Lumiere looked over Beast's shoulders to the corner of the room.
Following his gaze, Beast realized Belle was wrapped tightly in a sheet, standing with her back against the wall. Her eyes widened considerably, as they looked upon her.
"Ah, I should give you two a moment." Lumiere acknowledged, realizing they too were just learning of these changes.
As soon as the door closed, Beast walked carefully toward her, knowing she had to be frightened.
"It's okay Belle. It's me." He hoped she wouldn't run.
It was no wonder she was frightened when she woke up. Instead of seeing him, she woke to a stranger in her bed.
Her hand moved to her mouth, tears filling her eyes.
"Beast?" Her words wavered with emotion.
He stopped short, leaving an armlength of room between them to give her space.
Her eyes darted all over his form, and he could see she was having a difficult time processing everything. He looked different. In nearly every way.
"Look at me Belle." Her eyes lifted to his. "It's just me."
Watching his eyes, she took a tentative step forward, reaching her hand out to his face.
When her palm touched his cheek, his eyes fluttered closed. Her touch before was nothing compared to this. Feeling her completely, no fur to mask the warmth or texture of her skin.
Opening his eyes again he saw tears pouring from hers.
"I know it's you, but… it's hard to believe." There was wonder in her voice, but thankfully no fear.
He could have cried in relief.
Unable to stop himself, he embraced her. His arms pulling her tightly to him. She stiffened only slightly, before relaxing and hugging him back just as warmly.
"I'm sorry. I know this is a lot to take in. I just need this for a minute." He whispered against her hair, relishing the silky texture against his cheek.
She squeezed him more tightly in response.
"Don't be sorry. I-I can't even imagine how you must feel right now. I'm not going anywhere."
He wanted to kiss her for the words but felt that might be too much given all the changes.
"Thank you, Belle." He pulled back to see her face. She cocked her head to the side, looking at him in confusion.
"For what?" Her brows were furrowed, as if trying to think of what she'd done.
He laughed.
"For staying. For loving me. For being you."
Tears refilled in her eyes, and she stroked his cheek again.
"It may take some time, for me to adjust completely, but as you said once to me, you're who I want to be with, nothing else matters."
His throat tightened as he held back tears of his own.
They started at one another for a long moment, until Belle's cheeks started to bloom with color.
Beast realized then, their affection for one another had woken his arousal, which was pressing quite rigidly against her.
Slightly embarrassed and concerned for her comfort, he pulled back.
"Sorry." He turned away to find some clothes.
Unfortunately, his clothes were far too large to fit him now. Perplexed as to what to do, he stood there stupidly, feeling uncertain as to how to proceed.
"Uh, here," Belle mumbled.
He turned to see she'd managed to dress back into her trousers and blouse and was holding out the sheet she'd previously been wearing.
Her eyes were turned away to give him privacy, but he couldn't help his grin at her obvious blush.
Still, he wrapped the sheet about his waist, covering himself as decently as he could.
"I need to find some clothes, and then see to the castle." Considering the shouts were getting louder, it had to be chaos out there.
Belle gave him a warm smile.
"Of course."
Hesitant of pushing things too far, he approached her, taking her hand, and kissing it lightly.
"We'll talk later." He promised.
She nodded wordlessly and he felt her eyes on his back as he exited the room.
Despite the overwhelming sense of joy he felt at being free again, a tightness in his stomach was building.
Now that he was human, what else was going to change?
AN: AHHH! So much just happened! But it's all been a long time coming. I'll explain how the curse was broken later on, but for now just enjoy the ensuing chaos.
