Previously:

And Natsu couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed her waist pressing her close to him and kissed her. He felt her soft lips as she kissed him back. He deepened the kiss wrapping his arms around her pressing her closer. She wrapped her arms around his neck and one hand went through his hair.

They pulled away slowly to breathe. Natsu stared into her chocolate eyes and leaned down for another kiss. She giggled against his lips and he couldn't help but smile.

When they pulled away, Lucy was panting slightly, her face was flushed, and she had this adorable smile on her face. Natsu couldn't help himself and kissed her for the third time.

"Natsu!" She giggled and pulled away for air.

He leaned his forehead against hers. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this." He breathed.

She looked at him. From his eyes to his nose to his lips and then back to his eyes. She leaned in and gave him a light peck. "I'm glad you finally did."

He pulled back. "I'm going to kick Gray's ass for kissing what's mine." He glared.

Lucy laughed lightly. "Oh, so I'm yours now?" She asked with a hand on her hip.

"You've always been mine, Luce. You just didn't know it."

XXXX

In the morning, Lucy walked to Natsu's room silently. She opened the door slowly and saw him sleeping on the king-sized bed, then tiptoed to the bed careful not to wake him up. When she reached the bed, she saw him laying on his back, one hand under the pillow and the other sprawled on his stomach. His face was soft and young as he slept soundlessly. She sat on the edge of the bed carefully and brought a hand through his soft hair. He stirred a little but didn't wake up.

Lucy stared at his handsome face smiling. She can't believe they're together now. She was his and he was hers. Lucy brought her other hand to her lips remembering yesterday's kiss. Or well kisses.

This guy had rescued her. He comforted her. Stayed with her. She can't even begin to express the gratitude she feels toward him for everything he did for her. If it wasn't for him, if he didn't come for her that night, she doesn't know if she would still even be alive. He was her hero. Her cocky hero.

She leaned in slightly and kissed him on his cheek. But before she could pull away, his eyes opened. Her eyes widened and she quickly pulled away, staggering back almost falling off the bed if not for his hand around her waist. Lucy could never get used to his fast reflexes. She blushed for being caught and got off the bed but he only snatched her toward him until she fell on top of him locking both arms around her waist.

"Good morning Luce." He said with a smirk.

Lucy avoided his eyes mumbling. "Good morning."

"Were you watching me sleeping?" He asked teasingly.

Lucy blushed harder and tried to push herself off him but he wrapped his arms tighter around her. He brought his lips near her ear. "I don't mind."

Lucy resisted the urge to shiver as his breath fanned over her ear. "I wa-wasn't, idiot." She smacked him lightly on his chest.

Natsu chuckled. "Okay."

Lucy raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay?"

"Okay, I believe you."

She rolled her eyes and mumbled. "Whatever." Her cheeks still burned from embarrassment. And the fact that his face is inches from her face.

Natsu laughed. "Are you always this grumpy in the morning?"

Lucy didn't have a chance to respond as he smacked his lips against hers. Lucy melted into the kiss and ran her hands through his hair while his hands were roaming her waist. Then she was about to pull away for some air but he deepened the kiss growling.

Suddenly he flipped her over and now he was hovering over her trapping her between his arms and legs. She looked at him with wide eyes her chest beating fast. "Natsu?" She whispered.

He looked at her with passion shining from his eyes. "Luce." He whispered back.

He leaned down and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Mine." Lucy smiled.

He trailed down and kissed her nose. "Mine."

Then a kiss on each cheek. "Mine."

Then stopped just above her lips. "Oh, those are definitely mine." He said then leaned in and kissed her hard on the mouth pressing her against him. Lucy moaned as he bit her lips with his teeth.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Lucy's eyes flew open and she quickly pushed Natsu off her causing him to fall off the bed landing on his butt. "Owww."

"Mr.Natsu?" A voice called out followed by a knock.

"Omg Natsu! I'm so sorry!" Lucy whispered leaning on the edge of the bed.

"Mr.Natsu, Are you awake?"

Natsu rubbed his sore butt and glared at the door, annoyed for being interrupted. "WHAT!"

"uh-uhmm, There's someone waiting downstairs for you." The voice sounded nervous now.

"Okay, I'll come in a bit!" He called back, then they heard footsteps walking away from the door.

Natsu stood up from the floor and sat on the bed facing Lucy. She blushed and looked down. His stares were so intense and passionate.

He put both hands on her waist then pulled her to his lap. She yelped and hit him on his arm. "Natsu! what are you doing!"

He ignored her and hugged her tightly burying his face in her hair. "I don't wanna leave."

Luce rolled her eyes but hugged him back. "You're not going to leave, you're just going downstairs. Literally." He can be so dramatic sometimes.

"But I will still miss you."

She smiled. "I'll miss you too."

"I don't wanna go." He said stubbornly crossing his arms.

"It might be something important. Go. I'll wait for you here." She said patting the bed.

Natsu huffed and got off the bed. "Fine."

He walked to the bathroom and closed the door behind him loudly. Lucy giggled and fell back on the bed, her head landing on the soft pillow. She let out a loud content sigh and smiled. She feels today was going to be a good day. Especially since it started with kisses from her beloved. She blushed at the thought and buried her head under the blanket.

XXXX

Natsu hopped down the stairs to finish this quickly and get back to Lucy. He hasn't the slightest idea of who's waiting for him but knew it wouldn't be Gray. He wouldn't dare yet. And if it's actually him, Natsu would gladly kick his stupid ass out of the house. And Lucy wouldn't know it. He snickered at the thought as he walked to the living room. But his smile faltered when his eyes landed on Erza and another short man. Natsu recognized him from Lucy's school. He was the principal.

Why is Erza with Lucy's principle?

"Yo!" He called out as he came around and flopped on the couch opposite them.

"Hello, Natsu." Erza greeted after setting her teacup on the coffee table.

"Sup," He said and laid back on the couch crossing his arms behind his head. She glared at him and he quickly sat properly clearing his throat. She nodded at him satisfied. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

She cleared her throat and motioned to the short man sitting beside her. "Well as you see, You might know him from Lucy's school."

Natsu nodded looking at him and then back to Erza. "Why are you here with the principal?"

Erza was about to respond but the man beside her held out a hand. "If you may let me?" She nodded and he turned to Natsu who watched him carefully.

"Well, Natsu you might not know it. But you work for me." He clarified like it explained everything.

Natsu's eyes furrowed in confusion. "I don't know you man, how would I be working for you? Besides aren't you a principal at Lucy's school? Sorry to break it to you but I'm not a teacher. You got the wrong guy—"

"Natsu!" Erza hissed, glaring at him. "Let him finish."

The man laid a hand on Erza's leg. "Don't be so hard on him. It's alright."

Natsu scoffed. If he saw this her being hard on him, then this guy is a softie. Wait till he sees what the devil can actually be.

"To be clear, I own the secrete organization you work in."

Natsu's jaw dropped.

The man continued. "My name is Makarov and you know me as the principal because it's a cover to my real job, which is you already know what."

Natsu frowned. "Why haven't I seen you before?" Then he turned to Erza. "besides, I thought Laxus was the boss."

"Laxus is his grandson and he manages the organization with him," Erza explained.

Natsu shook his head and leaned forward. "Wait, so you're telling me He's my boss and I didn't know that for like more than 10 years?"

They both nodded.

"Why did you decide to tell me now? And why did you keep yourself hidden all these years?"

Erza stood up. "You will know everything later, Natsu. We came here to tell you that we will recruit Lucy very soon." She took her bag to leave, Makarov after her.

Natsu froze in place. What did she just say? Recruit Lucy? Like fuck she will! He stood up and said loudly, his voice echoing through the quiet house. "No."

Erza stopped midway and turned around slowly. "I'm sorry, what?"

Natsu glared at both of them. "I said no. You. Are. Not. Going. To. Recruit. Lucy. Is that clear enough for you?"

"You don't have a say in it. The decision is already made."

Natsu walked over to her hating it. Hating this whole stupid idea. "You know it's too dangerous!"

"She will go through training. Like you did. She will be fine." Erza said her voice starting to become impatient. He's crossing a line here but he doesn't care. No way they're recruiting her. He won't allow it.

He rubbed the spot between his brows. "But why Lucy? Are you after her money or something?"

Erza sighed and took a step closer placing a hand on his shoulder. "We think it's best for both sides. Besides she already knows too much. I'll explain everything when you come to headquarters. But I came here to tell you first because I care about you."

Natsu shrugged her hand off his shoulder. "You don't understand. She cant join us! She shouldn't!" He started yelling by now.

"Natsu lower your voice before she hears you," Erza said looking sideways.

They can't do this. No.

"She wouldn't say yes anyway." He challenged.

Erza smiled and turned back walking to the front door. "She will. It's over Natsu, accept it."

The maid opened the door for her, and they left. Just like that. Natsu stared at the door, hands in a fist. He must do something. Lucy can't join them. It would be too much for her. She went through so much and he knew she still wakes up in the middle of the night from nightmares.

He has to do something.

XXXX

Lucy was chilling in Natsu's room when he suddenly stormed in and snatched her from the bed throwing her over his shoulder.

"EEEP! Natsu!" She yelped but held his shirt afraid to fall. "What are you doing!"

Natsu ignored her and went to her room. He dropped her on the bed and walked to her dressing room. Lucy watched him from her bed as he opened one of her closets. He tossed a few clothes until he nodded approvingly at some clothes in his hands. Then he stormed back to her bed and threw her again over his shoulder.

Lucy was getting annoyed now. "Natsu! Stop it!"

Then he walked to her bathroom and lowered her on the edge of the tub. "Get dressed and meet me outside." He said planting a kiss on her forehead.

"Why? Where are we going?" she asked confused but he already left closing the door behind him.

Lucy frowned at the clothes. He had picked loose sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt. Lucy didn't know where they were going, So she decided to be safe and wear something nice. Because you never know with Natsu.

She got out of the bathroom and walked to her dressing room. "Hmmm, what should I wear?"

She looked through her closet for a bit until she decided to go with a dress. You can never go wrong with dresses. Besides she loves wearing dresses.

She wore a long-sleeved dress that reached to her knees and wore a long coat over it that has a belt around her middle. She quickly brushed her hair, grabbed her purse, and went outside.

She saw Natsu in his car on the front porch. She waved Capricorn goodbye and told him she'll be out for a while. After getting into the car, Natsu drove past the gates and into the highway.

Lucy turned to him. "So, where are we going?"

He gave her a sideways glance. "You didn't wear what I picked."

Lucy crossed her arms. "Because you didn't tell me where are we going. So I decided to wear a dress." She turned her eyes back to the road lifting her chin.

Natsu muttered something and she might think it was something like "Stupid cute."

She slapped his arm. "Hey! I heard you."

Natsu laughed and took her hand in his. He brought it to his lips and kissed it gently. "You look beautiful."

Lucy looked down blushing. "Thanks."

He held her hand through the whole ride until they reached their destination. "We're here."

"Umm Natsu, why are we in the airport?" Lucy asked slowly as they stood in front of the airport.

It was a busy day. People around were loading luggage from the cars, and some running inside to catch their flight.

Lucy saw a father carrying a five-year-old kid while holding his wife's hand as the taxi driver loaded off their language. The father was whispering something in his daughter's ear and she threw her head back laughing. Lucy's heart strained.

Natsu grabbed her hand and pulled her inside the huge building. "We're taking a break." He said, his jaw set hard, teeth grinding.

Lucy's eyes widened as she pulled her hand from his grasp, stopping him. "Whoa whoa wait a second."

Natsu sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He looked so frustrated.

She put a hand on his arm. "Natsu, what's going on? Are we in danger?"

He shook his head. "No, but I wanna take a break with you. You don't want that?"

"It's not that I don't want to, but I have school. I've skipped so many days, I'm surprised I'm not expelled yet." She laughed softly.

His eyes hardened when she mentioned her school. He suddenly put both hands on her shoulder shaking her slightly. "Lucy, listen to me. You can't trust your principle."

She frowned furrowing her brows. "But I don't—"

He shook her more cutting her off. "In fact, don't trust anyone!"

Lucy was so confused right now. "Natsu, tell me what's happening. You're acting weird."

He took her hand and dragged her to the ticket line. "We have to go now!"

"Natsu! Stop it! You're not making any sense. We didn't even pack our stuff." She exclaimed trying to stop him from walking any further.

But he was oblivious to her attempts as he kept dragging her. "We can deal with that later. Come on."

Lucy pulled her hand away forcefully. "Natsu!" She yelled, her hands clenched by her sides. He stopped and turned to face her. His eyes were wild and he looked so panicked. She sighed. "Stop all this nonsense and take me home."

He stared at her looking lost for a second. Like he didn't know what to do. She frowned. Why is he acting like that? What's happening?

She walked up to him and stood on her tiptoes pecking his lips. "Let's go home and then tell me everything."

He hesitated his mouth opening and closing. Then he nodded his eyes softening. She took his hand and squeezed gently. He squeezed back smiling at her. But the smile was forced and his eyes were troubled.

What's going on?

XXXX

"Erza, please think about it." Gray pleaded, pacing back and forth in front of her desk. She paid him no heed and continued with her work.

Then he stopped placing both hands on the desk "Erza!"

The red demon looked up slowly from her paperwork and scanned his face with her cold gaze. Gray resisted the urge to shiver. "It's not my decision. The boss set his mind to it already. There's nothing I can do about it."

Gray slumped in one of the chairs. "Then let me talk to him."

"No." She simply said as her eyes went down to the stacks of papers waiting to be finished.

"Why? Didn't he already reveal himself to Natsu? We're in the same rank. It's not fair that he knows and I don't." He argued leaning forward in his chair running a hand through his hair.

"Go complain to Laxus and leave me to my work." She said quietly. And when Erza uses her quiet tone, that's dangerous.

Not wanting to get beaten by her, Gray stood up and stormed out of her office. "Where is that stupid Laxus?" He muttered as he darted out the hallway ad hiked up the stairs heading straight to Laxus's office.

He didn't bother to knock and barged right in. "Laxus I need to—" He stopped when he saw another person in the room. It was a short old man with Gray hair. Laxus looked at him in surprise but Gray narrowed his eyes at the short old man. And then recognition hit him as the old man turned his face to him. When Makarov's eyes landed on Gray, He facepalmed and sighed.

"What's Lucy's principle doing here?" He asked furrowing his brows.

"Don't you know anything about knocking?" Laxus's voice boomed as he stood up, glaring at Gray.

But what was Lucy's principal doing here? Did he have a request? But they don't bring clients to headquarters. It's a secret organization for a reason. He frowned as he approached Makarov, ignoring Laxus.

"Get out," Laxus said with a threatening voice glaring at him.

"Laxus it's okay, I'll tell him." The old man said in his raspy voice.

Now Gray was confused. "Tell me what?"

"That I'm your boss and this is my organization. But I've been in hiding until now."

He looked at him with bewilderment. "But I saw you at Lucy's school--"

"That was a cover for my real job," Makarov said with a grim smile.

Gray was quiet for a second absorbing this. Then he realized that Makarov is the one who decided to let Lucy join them. Which is a thing he didn't approve of. "You can't let her join!" He demanded.

Makarov smiled, his face wrinkling. "It will up to the girl. I will merely just ask. It's her life after all, which I suggest you don't involve yourself in, young man. This is for everyone's sake."

"What do you mean?"

"I must leave now." He stood up from his seat and turned to Laxus. "We will talk more later."

Gray turned to Laxus his eyes wide. "Aren't you going to say anything about it?"

Laxus's eyes lazily trailed to his. He shrugged leaning back in his seat crossing his arms behind his head. "Old man's orders."

XXXX

When they arrived home, the second they got out of the car, Capricorn was in front of her, telling her there are guests waiting for her inside. Lucy didn't have an idea of who they might be. Might as well go inside and see.

She walked beside Natsu who seemed restless again. Even though she didn't know what's going on with him. But she tried to distract him through the whole ride.

They walked inside and Lucy was about to be tackled to the ground if not for Natsu pushing her behind him.

"Lu!!" Levy called out as she collided with Natsu's chest instead.

He grunted but didn't say anything. And when he looked around and saw that it was only her friends. He seemed to relax and stepped away from Lucy.

The bluenette didn't waste a second and tackled her friend with a tight bear hug.

Lucy hugged her back laughing. "Levy, you're choking me!"

Levy quickly pulled away and smiled sheepishly. But then she flickered Lucy's forehead. The blonde yelped rubbing the sore spot. "What was that for!"

Levy crossed her arms and glared at her best friend. "Serves you right for forgetting about me!" She yelled the last part.

"I'm so sorry Levy. I know I'm such a bad friend but I promise I didn't forget about you. It's just a lot is going on here." She explained apologizing.

Levy didn't seem convinced and it was obvious that she was hurt and worried that Lucy ghosted her. Lucy felt so bad, she wanted to punch herself for making her friend feel like that. "I'll make it up to you! I promise. Please forgive me!" She put both hands in a pleading gesture and gave Levy her puppy eyes that always worked.

Levy eyed Natsu for a second and smiled. "I forgive you, Lu."

The girls hugged again, and then Lucy noticed Cana sprawled on the couch unconscious and a girl with blue wavy hair standing over her muttering. She rushed to their side. "Oh my god, Cana! What happened?"

Natsu walked over to them and put his fingers on her neck and felt a steady pulse. "She's fine."

It was cute how he did that out of habit. He didn't seem to realize it as he stepped away and crossed his arms. "She's just sleeping."

Lucy turned to Levy. "What happened?"

"We were at the arcade, and stupid Cana sneaked in some booze in a juice box. We didn't realize that until she got drunk and passed out on the way here. Since we decided to check on you after we're done. But Cana has a thing for ruining plans." She facepalmed and slumped on the couch.

Lucy giggled. "How much did she drink if she passed out so quickly."

Levy rolled her eyes. "You don't wanna know, believe me."

The girl with the wavy blue hair was eyeing Lucy and Natsu. But mostly Natsu.

Levy then seemed to remember something as she shot up from the couch. "Omg! I almost forgot!" She gestured a hand toward the girl. "Lucy, this is Juvia. She just transferred to our school."

Lucy shook her hand smiling. "Nice to meet you Juvia. I'm Lucy."

Juvia smiled shyly nodding. "Juvia heard about Lucy." Then concern flooded her eyes. "Juvia is so sorry to hear what happened to you."

Levy leaned toward Lucy and whispered in her ear. "She always talks in third person." Lucy nodded smiling at the weird girl in front of her.

This should be interesting.

XXXX

"Hey Lucy, I'm sorry about yesterday."

"Hello, Lucy how are you today?"

"Hey, can we talk about yesterday?"

Or should he just pretend that nothing happened?

Gray groaned clutching at his hair as he stood at Lucy's front door. This was so bad. How was he supposed to act in front of her after he kissed her?

Especially that she didn't kiss him back. Or was it because she was startled? He kinda just went with it without overthinking about it. But he meant it. His feelings were real for her.

He has been always watching Lucy from the shadows for so many years. But she didn't know him until now. Well, he kinda wasn't supposed to let her know that he exists. But circumstances changed. And now he doesn't know if he has a chance with her now that Natsu's involved.

Or at the least, he hoped he didn't ruin the friendship he always wanted to develop with her for years. Lucy wasn't his childhood crush or anything. But since he was hired to watch her all these years. He saw her go to school, go out with her friends, have all those balls hosted in her mansion. He even attended to most of them. But of course, he couldn't introduce himself. He wasn't allowed until now. He kinda got interested in her throughout the years.

And now he ruined his chance by stupidly kissing her out of nowhere.

What now?

"Ugh, to hell with it." Gray muttered as he opened the door and walked inside.
