Eric's mind was completely blank. This was nothing new for him, but in this case his blank mind was due to the fact that the boy he had loved for years just kissed him.
This kiss was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. He never knew a kiss could be like that. A kiss that could wipe out all the anxiety and fear, or make you think you could fly or cry tears of joy. A kiss that could give you an instant raging hard on you felt like your dick was about to explode on the spot.
Shawn's beautiful face was staring up at him. The way the moonlight was hitting Shawn's face reminded Eric of the angels in the stained glass at the cathedral his family attended on the holidays. However, the look in Shawn's eyes were definitely devil territory. Eric knew exactly what Shawn was thinking, and suddenly his empty mind was completely consumed by one thought. "Let's go to room." Eric whispered. Shawn's devilish smile quickly faded at the request. Eric instantly became panicked. Was that not the right thing to say? Had he just fucked up? Did he just ruin the perfect moment by assuming Shawn wanted to have sex? None of these questions could be answered, as the lights of the living room suddenly turned on. They broke away from each other as Jack sleepily walked onto the landing. Shawn grabbed for the frig door while Eric plopped on the sofa grabbing clumsily for the remote on the coffee table.
"Eric your back!" Jack said with excitement as he bounded down the staircase. "Ah man, I'm so so sorry about earlier."
"It's cool." Eric said shyly standing up from the couch. Jack stood in front of him still rambling a apology, but Eric's eyes were focused on Shawn in the kitchen. Shawn's back was turned, as he grabbed items from the frig and cabinet.
"I was completely out of line especially to imply you were… you know…" Jack sort of rolled his eyes and slightly flicked his wrist. "I mean, of course you're not.." Jack began, but stopped. There was an awkward silence. Eric didn't want to lie to Jack, but he twasn't ready to come out to him. Especially now. He mind kept coming up with worst case scenarios about how he could have completely ruined whatever chance he had with Shawn.
"You don't have to move out." Jack blurted. Eric looked at him confused and it took a minute to process what was being said.
"Oh...right...yeah I know." He stammered.
Jack looked at him confused now. "Shawn told me." Eric said clarifying. Jack looked back at Shawn who was constructing a very odd looking sandwich. Eric was certain that he put whole olives and dried banana chip on it.
"He did?" asked Jack.
"Yeah, we were talking things out just before you came down." Eric offered.
Jack looked angrily at his little brother. "Shawn, you seriously let me babble like an idiot for the last 5 minutes?" For the first time since Jack interrupted them. Shawn looked up as he took a bite of his sandwich. The bite was big and there was no way anything he could say would be understandable so Shawn just shrugged with a sly grin on his face. "You're a dick."
"Look, Jack everything is good." Eric stated. He was done with this conversation and needed to be alone with his thoughts, plus his boner hadn't deflated yet. "Let's just forget the whole thing and try to be better roommates."
"Friends" Jack corrected. "You're my friend,Eric. I'm sorry I said otherwise." It was so nice to hear Jack said that, it almost made Eric want to cry. But instead he smiled, patted Jack on the shoulder and announced he was going to bed. As he walked to the stairs he looked at Shawn, whose eyes were completely fixed on his sandwich. Eric glanced at the sandwich. There was a sausage link hanging out and the two pieces of bread were a blueberry bagel and pita flatbread.
