Jessica kept her eyes on the door of the coffeehouse for her sister. When Jessica spoke to Elizabeth earlier, she could hear a male voice that sounded very much like Tom Watts. This confused Jessica. Elizabeth must have reunited with Tom but that also meant she had forgiven him for lying to her back in the spring of freshman year. Jessica smiled thinking about Nick, Elizabeth wasn't the only one forgiving an old flame.

Nick was back and Jessica had forgiven him. Jessica was in desperate need of her twin's advice before anything else happened between Jessica and Nick. Nick had asked her out on a date for the next night, but Jessica said she would think about it.

Elizabeth entered with a big smile on her face. Jessica smiled too she was happy for her sister.

"Liz over here" Jessica called, waving at her. Elizabeth came over and sat opposite her.

"Good morning, hope I wasn't too long" Elizabeth apologised.

"Nope not too long" Jessica reassured her. "So, who's the guy?". Elizabeth blushed her twin was a straight shooter.

"What guy?" Elizabeth said innocently.

"The one I heard on the phone earlier, sounded awfully like Tom Watts" Jessica exclaimed.

"Okay, okay you got me" Elizabeth finally admitted. "Tom and I have gotten back together". Jessica squealed in delight.

"Good for you Liz, l always thought he was right for you…except when he lied to you and broke your heart of course" Jessica responded. "I take it you've forgiven him and moved on?"

"Yes, we have" Elizabeth answered a bit distantly. She didn't want her twin to think she was a pushover either. "There are no more secrets between us".

"That's great Liz I'm happy for you" Jessica told her. "Now we've discussed your love life we now need to talk about mine"

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow at her.

"What's going on Jess?" Elizabeth asked.

"Nick is back and he asked me out, I'm not sure if I want to go down that road again, I'm scared to be hurt" Jessica answered, letting out the breath she didn't realise she was holding.

"Well, you know your heart better than anyone, are you willing to take another chance on love?" Elizabeth pressed gently.

Jessica took a sip of her coffee, thinking about if she was ready to take the plunge or not.

Elizabeth went up to order leaving Jessica sitting by herself to collect her thoughts. Elizabeth felt her phone vibrate while she was waiting for her order with a text message and smiled when she read it.

"Miss you already" Tom had written.

Elizabeth sent a message back that she missed him too and put her phone away to collect her coffee which was ready at the counter.

Tom jogged on the treadmill at the gym warming up for football training with the team later that afternoon. He smiled at Elizabeth's message back to him, the coffee with Jessica seemed to be going well. His teammate Jarryd Cross joined him on treadmill next to him.

"You seem happy today, Wildman, did your date go well?" Jarryd asked.

"Yes, a lot better than expected, I got back together with my college girlfriend Liz" Tom told him.

"That's great Wildman, maybe she can come to the next game, and we can meet her afterwards" Jarryd suggested.

"Maybe, don't want you guys to scare her off though" Tom joked. Jarryd chuckled, shaking his head amusedly. Tom switched off the treadmill, stepping off, wiping the sweat from his brow and neck with a towel as he headed towards the weight room.

Jessica messaged Nick and agreed to the date a while later after she left the coffee house, she was feeling a bit better after her catch up with Elizabeth. Jessica was now heading to the mall to buy a new dress.
