I recently restarted watching Hart of Dixie because of the quarantine and I couldn't get all these one shot ideas out of my head. I already have the next one planned out I really hope you enjoy this first one so you'll come back. Some one shots will be changed episodes, some of them will be whatever happens after the episodes some of them will just be completely made up. I originally watched Hart of Dixie when it was on TV and this is my first story for it. but I've always loved the show. This one how I wished episode 12 ended in season 1. Please Review.

Zoe was hiding in the corner at her table watching AB silently freak out, Zoe silently doing the same. When all of a sudden, she heard "My keychain!" from the most unlikely voice. "It's my keychain!" She watched as Wade walked out from behind the bar. "And just what are you, Wade Kinsella, doing with a keychain from Zoe Hart?" Lemon asks accusingly.

This the moment when Wade realized he had not thought this through. When he said it, it was out of his mouth before his brain even realized what it was saying. He was looking around trying to come up with a reason as to why he would have a keychain from the doctor. Now that his mouth got him into this mess he was stumbling over his words. "I gave it to him." Zoe said, "It's the key to my carriage house. I don't want to hide our relationship anymore." She stood up, walked up to Wade and wrapped her arm around his waist. "Damnit! Baby, I must have dropped it on my way to work this morning. I'm sorry." Wade says looking at her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into his side.

As Zoe looked up at him staring into his eyes he leaned down and kissed her. She couldn't help but to melt into him. She knew he was a great kisser; it didn't matter that the first time they kissed she was completely utterly wine drunk or that the second time he caught her off guard. She could admit it. At least to herself, not to him, never to him. That he is definitely the best kisser she's ever encountered. Just as they let out of the kiss, she remembered that he had just apologized. "It's okay, you get a free pass this one-time Wade. If you lose your key again. There will be serious groveling that needs to take place before you even get to come back into the house. Got it?" She asks with a raised eyebrow. "Yes, Mam," Wade responds with that smirk that makes her secretly go weak in the knees.

"Um, I'm sorry you expect us to believe that you Wade Kinsella is in a real relationship?" Lemon says calling the attention of the two back to the situation. "Lemon it was bound to happen eventually right? It can't be that hard to believe. The Docs got me wearing this shirt, don't she?" He asks looking back to the blonde, its not really a lie he was wearing it for her. "Yea and I didn't even buy it for him," Zoe adds, with her nervous laugh that he finds adorable. "Now Lemon if you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you'd give me the key to my girl's house. Please." Wade says as he watches as Lemon deflates at not catching Annabeth's secret friendship with Zoe. He quickly sneaks a look at Annabeth and gets a little mad at the fact that she is wearing a look of relief. When the keychain is in his hand, he held it eye level with the good doctor. "Now it's back where it belongs," he says with a smile. With a gleam in her eye she says. "See you at my place tonight Cowboy?" In that moment his only reaction is to kiss her. So, he does. This one lasts longer than the one a minute ago. When they let out, they rest their foreheads against each other to catch their breath. When he can think straight again, he replies "Baby, wild horses couldn't stop me." She nods and bites her lip. With that she grabs her stuff and walks out. He watches as Judson looks like someone kicked his puppy, and Wade can't help but feel full of pride, Judson pays and leaves ten minutes later.

Hours later she's still reeling from the kisses and she can't believe Wade did that for her. There's a knock on the door. She gets out of the bed, its Wade. She smiles and opens the screen door when he steps inside, he holds out the key chain minus the key. She looks a little confused. "I talked to Annabeth, gave her back her key, Levon filled me in earlier," he explains. "Thank you. And thank you for backing me in the knife fight. You were right it doesn't matter as long as you have someone in your corner." He shrugs. "Sure Doc. You realize now the whole town thinks we're an item?" Sighing she says, "yea about that…."

They decide to fake a relationship. The first few days they struggle to actually look and act like a couple. Dash tries to get the "scoop" for his blog in the most invasive ways possible, Rose is all over them and how perfect she thinks they are; everyone makes them kiss, often at the worst possible times. Not that either of them really complains about that part. After the first few days though they get into a rhythm. He drops her off at the office in the mornings, she goes to the bar when she is done for the day, he pours her the wine he's stocked just for her, they share over the bar kisses, they make each other laugh and smile. Depending on whether he is closing that night or not they will eat dinner together before she leaves, or they'll drive home at the end of his shift. It's exactly one week since they started the fake relationship when she invites him in, and they become real. They don't even talk about it, they just know. Although the sex, and the way they fit perfectly, definitely did not hurt. Their rhythm shifts but they adjust quickly. They alternate which house they stay at, they support each other, she continually gets into trouble and he is always the one that helps her out of it, they participate in some of the town events, not all of them because they do like their time to be private and away from the eyes of the town, they get through the rough days with laughter and well sex, but they know that that is not all that there is to their relationship. The town also often lets them know that they did not think that they would actually be able to make it. The easy transition from fake to real doesn't mean that it isn't hard. Because it is, they fight, they both have their issues with jealousy, but they figure it out because they want it to work.

They have been together for five weeks. Wade comes out of his bathroom freshly showered and dressed for the day. He needs to go to a neighboring town this morning to get a part for his car and check out the guitar store to see if they have the guitar he's been wanting for a while. She's still in bed watching as he towel dries his hair. "Hey Doc, Shelly called in sick, so I probably won't get to get to your place till late tonight, like 3:30 maybe." He then goes to grab his keys. "Okay, hey come here really quick." She grabs her purse from the floor. "Baby I gotta go," he says from the door. "I know just really quick I promise." He rolls his eyes and comes over to her side of his bed. "Since you are going to get home late tonight. Why don't you let yourself in with this?" She gives him the keychain this time it really does have the key to the carriage house on it. He takes it looking shocked, "Is this?" he trails off. She bites her lip a little nervously and nods. "Now it's back where it belongs," she adds watching as his eyes spark with recognition of words. He holds her face in his hands and kisses her the moment feeling even better than the one five weeks ago. When they let out, he says "And it's exactly where it's gonna stay."
