Ahna and Ainz set down with a desk full of paper, Albedo and the guardians had swiftly done similar to Demiurge in how quickly they had written down and made a basic portfolio for each person in Nazarick. She tapped the desk rhythmically as she flipped through the papers. She was on the last file when a bone hand was placed over hers.

"Stop." The tone in the lich's voice was enough to make her look up from her work. He still had at least half his pile to go and realized her tapping may have been distracting him. She nodded, her hand, withdrawing it to tumb at the pages of the file. "You went through everything so fast."

"You think so?" It was an honest question. She wasn't really sure how long that she had been in the room but it must not have been more than four hours or else one of the guardians would have kicked down the door with lunch. The woman looked back over at his pile. They had divided the folders into two piles. Read through their respective ones and switched piles.

"Lord Ainz." Both guild members looked up to see Shalltear bowing at the doorway with Demiurge behind her. "Lady Ahna."

"Shalltear. Demiurge." The female devil was happy to see them. "Is lunch almost ready?"

"It will be here soon." Demiurge replied as they moved into the room. Shalltear moved towards Ainz and began talking to him. Ahna however had finished the folder she was on and found that her hands had little in the way of work. She had always thought best when fidgeting with her hands and listening to her thoughts out loud. However if Ainz was trying to concentrate she couldn't speak to herself. She would just have to find something to occupy her hands.

"Shalltear." She found herself saying before she had fully thought the idea through. "Come sit in front of me." A look of concern graced the vampire's face but it didn't stop her from kneeling in front of her mistress in a bow facing her. A small laugh made its way up the devil's throat. "The other way."

Even more confused she moved so she was knelt facing away from her mistress. Ahna simply worked on the vampire's bonnet and bow, removing them neatly and setting them down on the couch beside her. While Ainz, who had seen plenty of women do their hair, was ignoring them, Demiurge looked on in mild confusion. It wasn't till his lady had produced a brush from her inventory that he realized she was doing Shalltear's hair.

The look of confusion on the vampire's face melted away into bliss as her hair was pulled gently with the hairbrush. Ahna watched the brush glide through the tressels and her mind slipped into an old memory. One that she had recently been thinking about for a while.

"Ahna, what do you think is the most important thing when world building is?" The woman looked up to see Takashi at a desk, head bent low over the papers he had sprawled everywhere.

"What kind of question is that?" Ahna chuckled as her head lulled off the side of his bed. The two had shared an apartment now for a few years, neither having the money to get their own place and afford food. It was a rather easy situation for the two of them having grown up as neighbors for most of their lives. Still, she found that even knowing him this long his questions were...sometimes off the wall. Like now.

"The five most important things when world building are the people, places, politics, religion, and military."

"What about the language?" Ahna asked.

"That falls under people." He waved her off. "Think about it you got to know the people what they look like, what they talk like, what they dislike."

"I can see your point." Ahna said he had yet to look at her but she wasn't really expecting him to being deep in the novel world he was writing. "Why places?"

"Places, that's easy. You have to know the scope of the land is it snowy or a desert. Lots of people or only a little. Are they agricultural or militerant? Politics run the people and towns and religions run the politics."

"So does the military run the religion?" She smiled knowing that this wasn't the answer he was looking for.

This time the black haired boy turned to shoot her a nasty look. "Am I a joke to you?"

"Proceed." She said after shaking her head.

"Military has the ability to topple all the others or get toppled." He put a single finger on top of his pen balancing it between his finger and the tables edge. "An army can kill people, destroy the lands, cripple and change politics and shatter religion to put a new one in its place. But if too many have been demoralized…" He lifted his finger and watched the pen fall flipping a few times before hitting the floor. "It all goes crumbling down.

She got broken from her thoughts by the door to the office opening and Sebas walking in with a cart. She supposed it was lunch time. Ahna reached for Shalltear's bow and tied the end of the brad that she seemed to have made while lost in thought and ushered the girl up.

The deviless was amused to see the beaming smile on the girl's face, she gave a little curtsy and drew back so her mistress could eat. However the woman sat there with a contemplative look on her face. She was clearly still in her own head.

"Ahna what have you got on your mind?" Ainz asked, not expecting the answer that came next.

"I was wondering if you ever thought about trying to get home?" The silence that followed that question felt like it reverberated through the whole tomb.
