Chapter 16: UA's Secret Guardian Angel of Death

Midoriya's POV (2 Months Later)

I waved goodbye to my mom as I got in my Infiniti Q70 with Kacchan in the passenger's seat. Apparently, in the middle of the night, I heard this baby being parked in front of our apartment. Then I saw Red got out of it and I was shocked. I always said I wanted a car but goddamn. I shadow walked outside and we hugged after a month of no contact. He told me he dropped it off here because it was his gift for my reunion with my family. He gave me the keys before I hugged him one last time and he got out of there. Of course, mom found out the morning after and asked me who owns the car and why is it there. I told her the truth that the Red gave it to me as a gift for my reunion with her and Kacchan. After I told my story about a month ago to mom and the Bakugous, she became a bit more relaxed and worried about me and my entire situation. Relaxed because she knows I can help defend myself and others when the time comes and worried because some people might recognize who I was based on what I do and worried for my safety of course. Kacchan became more determined to becoming a hero to prevent other people from turning into both Red and I, and we also made up and became best friends again. But that's how other people would see it, because he and I became much more. We became brothers.

Anyways, I started the car and began driving to UA. Kacchan turned on the radio before a familiar tune began playing on one of the channels. He and I instantly perked up because during our time together, we listened to both Japanese and American music, but mostly American. We grinned at each other before we pulled out the shades from the glove box and wore them, not only because the sun is shining brightly but for cool purposes. I turned the volume louder as we drove to our dream school.

~As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I take a look at my life, and realize there's nothin' left

'Cause I've been blastin' and laughin' so long

That even my momma thinks that my mind is gone~

~But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it

Me be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of

You better watch how you talkin' and where you walkin'

Or you and your homies might be lined in chalk~

~I really hate to trip, but I gotta loc

As they croak, I see myself in the pistol smoke

Fool, I'm the kinda G the little homies wanna be like

On my knees in the night, sayin' prayers in the streetlight~

~Been spendin' most their lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise

Been spendin' most their lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise

Keep spendin' most our lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise

Keep spendin' most our lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise~

~Look at the situation they got me facin'

I can't live a normal life, I was raised by the street

So I gotta be down with the hood team

Too much television watchin' got me chasin' dreams~

~I'm a educated fool with money on my mind

Got my ten in my hand and a gleam in my eye

I'm a loc'd out gangsta, set trippin' banger

And my homies is down so don't arouse my anger~

~Fool, death ain't nothin' but a heartbeat away

I'm livin' life do or die, what can I say?

I'm 23 now, but will I live to see 24?

The way things is goin', I don't know~

~Tell me why are we so blind to see

That the ones we hurt are you and me?~

We arrived at the parking spot of the school and parked the car there. I turned the car off and we got out before we started walking towards the entrance of the school with the song still playing in our heads.

~Been spendin' most their lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise

Been spendin' most their lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise

Keep spendin' most our lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise

Keep spendin' most our lives livin' in the gangsta's paradise~

We got onto the registrar and registered ourselves as well as giving the needed papers before we got told to go to one of the classrooms to take a test. As we entered, we sat down in our respective seats and took the exam that Ectoplasm gave to us and told us that we have an hour to finish them. I managed to finish it in 5 minutes while Kacchan finished in 10 and we both double, even triple checked our answers before passing them to Ectoplasm who told us to go to the locker rooms and change. Both Kacchan and I decided to just wear tracking pants and tank tops before heading out to Ground Beta for the orientation. We got cards given to each of us on where we'll do the entrance exam

"Damn, we're separated." Kacchan grumbled. I patted his back and said,

"It's fine buddy."

"You ready for this shit?" He asked me as he looks at me with a smirk. I grinned back before facing the massive gates of Ground Beta, the grin not leaving my face.

"Oh Kacchan, I'm excited for this." He then left to go to his location on where he'll do the exam and I was left alone. Soon enough, more and more applicants start piling up at the entrance and I pulled out my phone and earphones and began listening to Till I Collapse by Eminem. I then began stretching before someone tapped my shoulder. I looked over my shoulder and saw a tall muscular guy with short dark blue hair. All it took was one look on his calves and I recognized his ass immediately.

"What do you want Iida?" I asked, startling him and made him look at me with wide eyes.

"How do you-" He asked but I interrupted him.

"Just imagined you without your glasses and you look like your brother Ingenium. Name's Izuku Midoriya." I offered my hand to him, snapping him out of his shock and we shook hands.

"Tenya Iida is my name, but I should ask, how do you know my brother?" He asked.

"Saw him take off his helmet and asked him for an autograph." I said with a smile, remembering that day.

"He does tend to do that from time to time. I have another question." He said.

"If it's the tattoos, I went through a rebellious phase, also we'll talk later." I said as I nodded my head upwards to my right. We both saw Present Mic standing there, getting ready for the orientation. We looked back at each other and he nodded.

"Very well, we shall continue this conversation after the entrance exam Midoriya. I wish you good luck." He offered his hand and I shook it with a determined look and smile.

"Same goes to you Iida, I'll see you in the hero course." We nodded before Present Mic starts his lecture. I cracked my neck and knuckles before waiting for Mic to start. Soon enough, Present Mic called out to us and we greeted him with silence. I snickered on the inside at his misfortune before he began explaining the rules on what to do. As we listen, Iida interrupted Mic and called out that there's 4 robots on the screen before Mic told him that we'll get to it.

"This one is a Zero Pointer, meaning if you do decide to destroy this, it won't give you any points. It's also the biggest of the three so try to avoid it as best as you can." Present Mic explained.

'It ain't worth a damn but it's gonna be a lot of fun beating that thing down regardless.'

"AND START!" Mic yelled. I rushed forward, leaving everyone else behind before Present Mic had to remind them that there are no countdowns in real life. I grinned as I heard a mechanical whir on to my right and soon enough, a 2 pointer plowed through a building. I didn't stop running, instead a charged at it and round house kicked its head off before spinning once more and dropping an axe kick in the middle, slicing the 2 pointer in half as I landed. I chuckled at how easy that was before I begin my hunt for more points.

'Hope you're watching Nedzu, cuz you're gonna be dealing with me throughout the 3 years.'
