Chapter 18: An Inventor with a Body Count

Shiro's POV (2 Months Ago)

"Nice place ya got here." I said while sitting on one of her chairs in the living room.

"Yeah well, it's one of the nicest places here in Japan, plus it's only a 15 minute sprint to UA." She said while cleaning the dishes. I hummed in agreement since I know the owner of the apartment she's staying at and how expensive it is to live here. I took off my helmet and placed it on the coffee table before relaxing on her soft armchair. I heard a snicker before taking a look at her, seeing that she's smirking at me while wiping her hands.

"You getting old there Red?" She teased. I chuckled and said,

"Nope, I should be asking you that since you bought an armchair with a recliner, which by the way, fits a person after they retired from an old job." She scoffed before laying down on the sofa then turning the TV on.

"Please, I'm only 2 years younger than you."

"Ew, so old." I said mockingly, chuckling before laughing as I caught a pillow she threw at me.

"Never pegged you to be the one that likes 10 years old and below." She mocked back.

"Hey, no." She laughed before I laughed as well. After all that, we just chilled and watched TV before I decided to break the ice.

"You goin' to UA?" I asked her.

"Yup, going to the Support Department. Probably make a costume for your successor." I chuckled at that before remembering.

"Oh yeah, did you already made his costume?" I asked. She nodded before pointing towards the other room with her thumb.

"It's in the guitar case next to the closet." I nodded before standing up and going into the room. I saw the guitar case which was leaning on the closet and took it and opening it on the floor of the room. I smirked as I saw the helmet, a skull mask and his boots. The cyber demon helmet with the top front being red and everything else was a gainsboro color, as for the horns which unlike mine that is slightly curved back with the tips pointing up, this one has black horns out pointing almost straight up whereas if Midoriya wears this and he looks straight, the tips would be aimed at someone's eyes. I took off the glove and ran my bare hand on it and just like mine, it's also made of metal and I can tell that this has the same functions as my helmet but with a different design and color. I put down next to the case and pulled out the mask. It's a full face mask and if this doesn't make anyone shit themselves then there's something wrong with them. The mask is light but metallic, I ran a finger on the mask and it's pure steel. I put it next to the helmet and took the boots. The boots were a modified ATAC because I recognized the fabric and material when I touched it. Outside the toe box and rand, a black metallic plate is covering the front of the toe box and rand and once I knocked on it, it's the same material used to make Midoriya's machete. Whoever gets kicked in the head by this will be in a guaranteed coma or have a shattered skull. It also has two well hidden pocket knife holsters on each side of the upper. I knocked on the heel counter and all I felt was metal before I traced it down to the outsole and all I felt was metal.

'Damn Mei you making him kill someone at school?' I set those aside and pulled out the black version of my jacket.

'Damn she's really making him the next Devil huh. Sorry Izuku but I'm the only Red Devil out here, maybe you could just be the Black Angel since it suits both you and your back tattoo.' I set the jacket to the side as well before pulling out the purple-ish gauntlets. Now these ones I don't have. I don't know what these are but from the wrist to the half of the forearm looks like one of the Yautja's wrist gauntlet except not as rustic looking. There's also like elastic plastic tubes on each side with one end connected to the half end and the other connected to the wrist end. On the other half of the forearm to the elbow sits a big LED light with cylindrical tube like structures behind it. The back of the hand is covered with a metal plate and underneath it are more elastic plastic tubes that go to beneath the square metallic things that are designed to protect the 2 inch top part of your fingers. In simple terms, if you start measuring down your finger, it's the first line. The square metal parts of the gauntlet protect the tip of the finger down to the first line of the finger. From the looks of it, it also has a black glove attached to the gauntlet so that's interesting. I put the gauntlets behind me and got the final piece of clothing out, the pants. It's tactical with a couple of pockets and judging by slight thickness that I feel within the fabric when I pinch it, it's either bulletproof, stab proof or both. As soon as I stopped checking Izuku's costume,

"Ya done?" She asked. I glanced behind me and I asked,

"Are all of these resistant to something?"

"Yup. The pants and the jacket are liquid resistant, the helmet, the boots and the gauntlets are shock, fire, water and dust proof." She explained. I picked up the gauntlets and inspected them.

"I know you practically modified the helmet the same way I did with mine, but what do these gauntlets do?" She chuckled and said,

"The gauntlets can be connected to his phone, meaning he doesn't have to pull out his phone every second to either call, sound an alarm or release private shit all over social media. It's also connected to the satellite since I used your software to make it both invisible and untraceable, thanks by the way." I nodded and urged her to continue.

"The gauntlets very hard to destroy and it also has a function to video call, to taser someone with the fingers and show a holographic map or blueprint of the location or destination. And only Izuku, you or I have access to make that thing functional and operable unless there's an emergency and it somehow dropped from Izuku's arm which it will know if it was being taken off his person or it dropped, therefore, allowing anyone to use it. Oh and the gauntlet has to scan anyone who wears it to make it operable."

"Can't you add some sort of security software that'll be able to identify if the one who's trying to wear it is a villain, hero or vigilante?" I asked.

"Hmmm I'll try. It'll take me a couple days to make that nearly impenetrable security software, not counting the time it will take to download it into both the helmet and gauntlets." She replied. I nodded before I packed it all the same way as before then I exited the room and just then, I heard a scream from down the street.

"You better get going, that sounds like a fresh meal to me." I smirked before I turned back and looked back at her and she is smirking as well. I walked towards the balcony and grabbed my helmet then I put it on. I turned around and fully faced her.

"See ya around Red."

"See ya in UA, Mei." With that, I basically teleported with how fast I ran and jumped out of her room only to crash land on the criminal that stole a woman's purse. He dropped to the ground and dropped the purse, I sat on the guy before delivering a light chop to his head and knocking him out. I got up, grabbed the purse and returned it to the woman who already called the police.

"T-Thank you Red." I nodded before going into the shadows, disappearing from everybody's sight.
