Chapter 21: The Lore of Her

3rd Person POV

After Midoriya's and his classmates' encounter with Mei, Midoriya told them that they all should go inside or Aizawa will expel them, which everybody agreed on and did so. After they got changed to their regular uniforms, they went back to their classrooms and sat in their chairs but they were all focused on Midoriya, silently telling him to tell the story of the mysterious girl from before. Midoriya sighed and began to tell the story but he also told them to only ask questions at the end and to keep it a secret to themselves and themselves only.

"It all began when she was 12. Her parents are owners of one of the famous support items company in the world and they know David Shield, who of course was a former All Might sidekick and currently a scientist and Japan's top engineers for support items. Her parents and David Shield are business partners and of course Mei soon learned of this as then she developed a love for engineering as well, from making an electric razor with a tazer to making a toxic hand grenade that nearly rivals mustard gas. It was all easy to her because her quirk is Zoom, it allows her to make her vision zoom in on whatever is in her line of sight. If she really focuses, Mei can see things as far as 3 kilometers since she was only 12. A rival company of her parents' company heard of their daughter and decided to hire mercenaries to basically kidnap her. They succeeded without her parents knowing and by the time they did which was basically the morning after, the rival company forced her parents to give their company to theirs WHICH was taken back by Mei's parents after Red dealt with them. Long story short, rival company hires mercenaries that belonged to a different company that Red knew personally to kidnap Mei, said company hired Red to take out rival company and Red proposed to Mei's parents that she should stay with them along with him for the time being to prevent any other company from trying to fuck with them and to train her how to defend herself when she gets in a scenario like that again. Time skip to a year since her kidnapping, Mei has been enlisted as a mercenary in the company the mercs work for and they're called the Plague Fire which is the most powerful merc company to exist today and still is. Red trained Mei all kinds of martial arts to the point Mei is very well versed in it and her body is downright nearly indestructible. During that year, she was out on missions by herself. No companions, no backup, nothing. The worst part, she had no weapons aside from her fists and feet. She fought and killed by fighting quirkless and using everything she was taught. She didn't even flinch or had any psychological problems when she killed her first victim. Overtime, the reputation of Plague Fire grew and grew thanks to her and she grew even stronger to the point she was a living weapon that not even Red can beat anymore. Their first spar killed him and Mei brought him back from the dead by manually pumping his heart before he gets rushed to the company's medical facility. Her body count grew and the time she finishes her missions lessening are the most impressive in the company considering she wiped out bases, hideouts and armies without a damn thing on her hand. Of course, during her break, she invents weapons for the company that proved to be extremely helpful and for free even since they pay her millions of dollars. After a year again, Plague Fire grew to the top of the top of the food chain of dark business. Mei left her mark in the underworld and she wanted to resign so she can live a normal life and become the #1 support item engineer in the world, they gave her a surely impossible mission and that is to find and terminate the man himself, All for One. Now, let me give you a bit of info of who that man is. All for One is a man that is several hundreds of years old. His quirk is that he can take and give quirks to whoever he pleases. He has an empire under his rule in the underbellies of the world. In under a month, she completely decimated it all on her own. With his empire in ruins, it was bound to make him show up, and show up he did. All he saw before their fight was her holding the snapped neck of one of his men and she let that man go before going into her fighting stance. I know that look and yes, she fought him quirkless without fear and only one thing in mind. All she had in her head was this, "You can never beat me. I am stronger than All Might himself and you are nothing to me. I am unbeatable no matter what you do." That mindset caused her to win the fight, against a supposed myth. She knows she's stronger than anyone else, she believes she's stronger than anyone else and she proved that when All for One begged her to have mercy on him, because she didn't kill him right away. She toyed with him, like a predator playing with its food. And the entire fight was broadcasted in the HQ of Plague Fire and Red was there watching. He couldn't believe his eyes of what was happening. The man he was hunting for years was being bullied by his student who only had shallow cuts across her entire body and wasn't even tired at all. What they all didn't expect was for Mei to give the man mercy and what really shook them to the core and especially All for One was what she said which was, "When we see each other, we're gonna have a rematch and when that time comes, I'll be sure to kill you for good." Then she walked away. When she came back to HQ, she got scolded before she decided to shut them all up with a simple threat of killing them. So the CEO of the company gave her a different mission which was also difficult for her, killing her best friend who was a spy for the rival company of Plague Fire. Everybody, even Red, knew how close they were yet Mei just rolled her eyes and asked what company he was in. The CEO, out of shock, just told her and she responded with, "Give me a day." before fucking off to the showers and getting some high quality dinner. I'm talking steaks, chicken, salads, pork, fish, everything that a millionaire family of 6 would eat. She finished all of it in one seating and went to bed. The next day, she went to the company her ex-best friend is working on, killed everybody and finished the job, easy. When she got back, she went to the CEO's office where the CEO is obviously and signed her retirement papers, she and the CEO shook hands and even hugged because everyone who knew Mei personally in that company respects her not out of fear, but out of admiration at the amazing feats she pulled not one of them or any new recruit they will have will ever pull off. They had a celebration before she left, bought an apartment in one of the pristine ones here in Musutafu and here she is now." Midoriya ended the story and by the time he did, he looked up and smiled. He noticed all their shocked looks including Present Mic's. He chuckled nervously before he asked,

"Any questions?" Everybody's hands went up and he just shook his head in amusement.

"Alright, one at a time. Sato." He pointed at Sato.

"Why didn't she finish off All for One?" Midoriya just shrugged and told him that maybe she didn't wanna fight him when he's still weak.

"Although I doubt that rematch will be a fucking lie so there's that. Jirou."

"I know for sure Red Devil has a more massive body count but how come hers is much more intimidating than his?"

"Red is a vigilante and anything that falls into his category of worth killing is pretty much out in public by now and people are kinda used to it. Mei however, is a former mercenary that killed 600,000 people in her lifetime using only martial arts, her training and her intelligence. Her deeds weren't broadcasted out in the light like Red's, it stayed in the underground where she became a legend. Of course, both Red and Mei are powerhouses and asking them to fight you is an instant death sentence but Red didn't retire from vigilantism because it's his job and the man's a teenager still believe it or not and Mei did. Although, her retirement wasn't broadcasted in the underground and a rumor spread that she will only go after the people that went out of line with Plague Fire, but little do they know *chuckle*. Iida."

"You told us that she has murdered Red 3 times yet we only know the first time was because they were sparring, but what was the reason for the other two?" Midoriya smirked and said,

"Well, as you all know, Red is and was still a teenager. Like his first taste of death wasn't enough, he decided to challenge her again and he ended up dying, doing a little amount of damage to her. The third and last time was for old time's sake. Mic." Everybody went wide eyed and looked at Present Mic who just smiled and waved, not knowing he was there the whole time.

"Is she going to be a problem when someone tries to hire her again?" Midoriya laughs.

"Oh sensei, she's only Powerloader's problem now." Just as he said that a small sound of explosion was heard and the building slightly rumbled before a loud yell erupted,

"HATSUMEEEEEE!"

"AH I'M SORRY SENSEI!" Midoriya scoffs in amusement before asking Mic if they still have something to do considering they only have 10 minutes before the class ends.

"Well, since we're nearly out of time, I'll give you guys some homeworks and I'll check it tomorrow okay?" Mic told them and the class responded,

"YES SENSEI!" Mic grinned before he passed the handed out the homeworks and everybody distributed it. Unbeknownst to them, Mei heard everything via hacking through Midoriya's phone and listening in through a wireless ear pod, which prompted the explosion because she got distracted and wasn't paying attention. She just dusted herself as she helps with the cleanup and grins.

'And here I thought Red didn't tell him. Oh Shiro, if I see you you're gonna be so dead.'
