Chapter 23: Don't Mess with the Angel Part 2

3rd Person POV

Midoriya opens the door to the building and walks right in. He remained silent as he puts his gauntlet covered hand on the wall and closed his eyes. He concentrates on the environment as starts to feel the slightest vibration and soon enough, he felt them coming from the 3rd or 4th floor. He opens his eyes and looks up at the ceiling before slinking in the shadows. Meanwhile, at the viewing area, they were shocked as Midoriya suddenly disappeared into the shadowy corner in front of the camera and not even the light of his gauntlets can be seen.

"Did Midoriya just…" Asks a stunned Sero.

"Disappear into the shadows? Yes." Answered Tokoyami.

"But how?" Asked Uraraka.

"Maybe he's like one of those ninjas in the movies!" Exclaimed Hagakure in excitement.

"Yeah! When they go like blend in with the shadows and stuff!" Says Mina, joining the invisible girl in her excitement.

"Whoa, that's so awesome!" Says Kirishima.

"If he can only blend in with the shadows, then how comes his gauntlet lights disappear as well?" Momo ask and that made everyone start questioning themselves.

"~Why don't we all just watch monsieur Midoriya oui?~" Aoyama told them and they decided to oblige and watch the screens.

"Wait where's Midoriya?" Asked Uraraka. Everyone started to look around till Kaminari pointed at one of the screens.

"There!" All of their attention focused on that one screen where they saw Bakugo turns the corner where the camera is facing, Midoriya suddenly appeared behind him without Bakugo knowing since he continued to walk. Back with Midoriya, he shadow walked to the 3rd floor where he can feel the stomping of his brother. He peeked out his head slightly enough to see and saw Bakugo about to come around the corner and as he does, Midoriya steps out of the shadows behind him whilst Bakugo was oblivious to him being there. Only did when Midoriya clenched his fists that cracked his knuckles did Bakugo turned around. A surprised look was given at Midoriya before he showed his feral grin, indicating that his love for combat hasn't disappeared over the years.

"There you a-" Before Bakugo could even finish his sentence, Midoriya closed their distance, which was only 10 feet away, and decked his brother in the face with a right, sending the boy to crash on to the wall next to the staircase that leads down to the 2nd floor. Bakugo grunted and fell to the ground after colliding with the wall and as he did, he heard fast footsteps and just rolled out of the way and looked up as he heard a loud bang. When he did, his eyes widened as he saw Midoriya basically blew a wall that leads outside with nothing but his foot. When Midoriya looked in his direction, he swore he can see his left eye glowing and felt a shiver run down his spine. It didn't take long for him to get up and let out a move of his own called Flashbang before fleeing from his friend.

'Shit! Is he trying to kill me or something?!' Bakugo thought as he sped down the hall and hid in a corner panting only for Iida to call him.

"Bakugo! I felt the building rumble, was that you?!" iida asked, slightly worried who only even got more worried when Bakugo said,

"No, it was Midoriya. Damn nerd nearly kicked my head off."

"What?! How is t-" Before he could finish his sentence, All Might's voice rang through their coms.

"THE HERO WINS!"

"HUH?!"

"WHAT?! HOW-" Iida's voice died again as he turned around and saw Midoriya touching the bomb with his finger while looking at him.

"You left the door open."

"…"

"…"

"Iida are o-*CRASH*…kay…" Midoriya asks as Iida just fell face first into the ground where Midoriya went to him and just poked his figure with his foot.

"You good?" Midoriya asks again and Iida didn't respond.

"All Might I think Iida just died." Back at the viewing room mere 60 seconds earlier, everyone was watching as Bakugo 'blinded' Midoriya with his flashbang before running away as he nearly got decapitated by Midoriya. As he did though, Midoriya took the flash head on without doing anything and just walking away towards the shadows again.

"Mido-bro's not gonna chase him?" Kirishima asks in confusion.

"There's no need for him I guess." Jiro says. Then they all saw Midoriya come out of the top of the stairs of the 5th floor and they saw that one of the doors was open. The class looked at one of the screens where Iida and the bomb was and saw Iida communicating with Bakugo and turned his back on the doorway momentarily. Then the unexpected happens, as Iida is talking to Bakugo, Midoriya just calmly walked in the room and walked straight to the bomb without Iida knowing. Everyone was yelling Iida's name and turning him to turn around even though he couldn't hear them and only did he realize when All Might announced Midoriya's win. The entire class fell on to the floor in shock as Iida JUST turned around and saw Midoriya touching the bomb. As the three of them returned to the viewing room, most of them stared at Iida with a deadpan look and Iida looked down at the floor ashamed as Midoriya pats him on the back.

"Take it easy y'all, just needs a work on his environmental awareness is all." Midoriya says with a chuckle.

"It's alright Young Iida, we all make mistakes. Now! Who was the MVP of this first match between the 3 of them?" All Might asks and Yaoyorozu raised her hand.

"Yes Miss Yaoyorozu?" He asks while pointing at her.

"Midoriya-kun sir." She answers.

"And why is that?" He asks.

"Midoriya-kun decided to use stealth and strength to his advantage to distract and frighten off Bakugo so he can go to the 5th floor without much trouble of Bakugo coming for him. When Iida-kun calls out to Bakugo, Midoriya uses the momentary distraction to get to the bomb and defuse it." Momo explains and everyone stared at her in silence and awe. All Might did as well before breaking the tension in the room by clearing his throat.

"W-Well said Miss Yaoyorozu! Not all fights need to start and/or end in a brutal showdown between one and the other, sometimes using simple intimidation and stealth, can finish a fight one way or another! Also, while it is important to deal with the villains, always prioritize the mission first. As heroes, our main priority is the safety of the civilians, villains always come second! Understood?" All Might explained and asks the class.

"Yes sensei!" Everyone responded. All Might nods before he looks at Bakugo.

"Bakugo, go to Recovery Girl, your cheek is bruising and you're starting to bleed from your nose." Bakugo looks at him confused before wiping a finger under his nose and spotting blood on his glove.

"All Might, can I come with him too? My foot is kinda numb from kicking that wall earlier." Midoriya said as he starts to rub his ankle. All Might nods and sends them both off to Recovery Girl. Bakugo offered an arm to Midoriya and Midoriya took it as he slung his arm over his brother's shoulder and Kacchan did the same as they walked and semi limped to the clinic. As they do, someone who was walking the opposite way of them hangs his foot out midway and tripped Midoriya who was clinging to Bakugo and both of them fell down. Bakugo used his hand to stop his fall but his bruised cheek made contact with it, making him slightly cry out in pain. Midoriya, who just landed on all fours, checked on him before looking up at the guy who tripped them.

"Woops, sorry, didn't see you there." Midoriya glared at the blond student who seems is the same age as his. The prick just grinned at them, further digging his grave even deeper. Meanwhile in Class 1-B's classroom, Vlad King was teaching his class before the door slams open. Everyone in that classroom looked at someone who was in the doorway, which was an unmasked Midoriya holding a beaten up Monoma.

"I suggest you put this bitch on a leash before I neuter it." Midoriya said in a dark tone before tossing the unconscious Monoma in the room and closing the door. Vlad King and his class stared for a couple more seconds before they checked on him. Furious, Vlad King stomped to the doors and opened it before getting out only to pause and see Midoriya holding Bakugo upright as he holds his cheek in pain as the duo limps to the clinic. Midoriya sent an icy glare at Vlad King while walking away to the clinic before focusing on the path towards their destination. Vlad King calms down before frowning and facing the stirring Monoma.

"Sir he's waking up." Says the grey haired boy whose look is similar to Kirishima.

"Uugghhh what…?" Monoma asks, still suffering from the beat down Midoriya gave him. Vlad King crouched in front of him as his vision starts to clear.

"Sensei?" Monoma asks before he got collar grabbed by their homeroom teacher.

"You're going to explain to me exactly why you decided to antagonize 2 clearly injured students of 1-A and you better hope your reasoning is good enough or there will be hell to pay you understand?" Vlad King tells him, causing the boy to gulp. Back to Midoriya and Bakugo, they arrived at the clinic where Recovery Girl tells Midoriya to lie Bakugo down on the bed. Midoriya did what he was told before took a nearby chair and sat on it.

"So what happened deary?" Asks Recovery Girl.

"Battle Trial. Punched him hard enough to send him flying and bruise his cheek as well as a nosebleed. Kicked the wall to finish him off and my foot is numb. Class 1-B Neito Monoma decided to trip us, further worsening Kacchan's injuries, beat him up and sent him back to his classroom." Midoriya explained in short detail but straight to the point. Recovery Girl sighs before checking on Bakugo and told Midoriya to remove the shoe and sock of the numb foot. He does so as Recovery Girl kisses Bakugo's bruised cheek and the bruising as well as the bloody nose disappears.

"I suggest you start eating soft foods for a week then slowly work your way up. The punch bruised your cheek but the fall cracked your lower jaw. You should rest here for the rest of the day. You won't be able to form intelligible words if I let you out now. As for you Midoriya." Recovery Girl says to Bakugo before shifting her focus to Midoriya. She looked at his foot before feeling it and felt some of the bones in his foot fractured.

"Well, your foot's fractured but it's an easy fix. Activate your quirk." She tells Midoriya. Midoriya activates Unkillable and Recovery Girl kisses his foot which for didn't even smell since he didn't even sweat at all and healed his injury, making the boy grow tired once she tells him to deactivate it. He wobbled to a nearby chair and sat on it as Recovery Girl gave him some gummy bears before checking on Bakugo again. He consumed them before resting for a little while. Bakugo looked at his resting childhood friend before remembering his surprise return when he came back from being a vigilante for nearly a decade. A soft smile made its way on to his face as Recovery Girl made her way to him, glancing at him before looking back at Midoriya then back at him.

"I'm guessing by that smile on your face, you're either in love with him or remembering your reunion." She said with a smirk. Bakugo's face suddenly lit up like a Christmas tree and looked at her in shock before shaking his head no. She chuckles before she says,

"Well, just in case, he doesn't swing that way, sorry kid." Bakugo rolls his eyes as his way that he knows. Time passes by and afternoon rolls in. Bakugo slung his bag over his shoulder as he exits the school building and seeing Midoriya smoking a blunt under the arch while leaning on it as well as talking to Aizawa who was also leaning on the other side of the arch but not smoking.

"The senator was in on it and I had to do something. Of course offing a man that has an important place in the government is basically a Tuesday for me, considering I can dig up every single dirt like he does. Oh hey Bakugo, ready to go home?" Midoriya asked as he took a drag without even looking at him.

"Thought you would've left by now nerd." Bakugo replied as he gets closer to them.

"Got nowhere to go besides home anyways."
