Chapter 24: The Rabbit and Her Devil Fiancé

Shiro's POV

"Happy anniversary honey." I said as I put the carrot cake down on the table in front of her grinning face. She squeals before grabbing my face and planting a kiss on my lips. I kissed back before we both pulled away and said excitedly,

"Oh thank you thank you thank you!" I chuckled at her joyful expression before grabbing a small plate and a cake knife. Funny how one of the most brutal and badass heroines could act this way behind closed doors.

"Small, medium or large mademoiselle?" I asked in a jokingly manner. She snorted before clearing her throat.

"Ehem, a medium please good sir." She said all fancy like with a grin on her face. We shared a laugh before I cut a piece of the cake with her desired size then putting it on the small plate and giving it to her. I cut my own piece of my desired size and put it on my own small plate. I sat down next to her. It was hour 4th anniversary ever since we started to date each other back when I was 15 and she was 18. The day we met was when I was 11, weeks after I rescued Midoriya, then we met again when I rescued her from villains who would surely use her as their personal fleshlight. I passed a fork to her and got my own before we said,

"Itadakimasu." We then proceeded to eat our portion of the cake before Rumi takes her first bite of the piece of cake and squealed like an excited little girl. She chewed before gulping it down and says,

"Uwaaah! It's so good! Was this the one in that famous cake shop in Esuha?" She asks before taking another bite. I gulped down my piece and said,

"Mhm. It was only ¥620." She gulps down another piece before squealing again and I chuckled.

"Careful, you might choke." I told her. She rolls her eyes and tells me,

"Please, if I could take your dick down my throat with little to no problem, I think I can handle a bit of cake." I shrug playfully before taking another bite.

"Alrighty then." We started to eat silently before she squealed again then suddenly coughing. I snorted and nearly spat my food out as she starts beating her chest with her fist. I gulped it down before laughing at her. She managed to spit it out, thankfully not hitting the rest of the cake, before punching me on the shoulder. I calmed down a bit after that and told her as I was getting back to my cake.

"I told you."

"Shut up." She said embarrassed and amused before taking another bite, prompting me to laugh again. Time has passed and we settled down on the couch in the living room watching an awesome movie from the pre-quirk era. I'm surprised they still show these movies.

"Avengers!" The camera shows all of the characters that got turned to dust in the last movie along with some backup ready to fight before returning to Captain America just catching Mjolnir and looking back at Thanos.

"Assemble…" Thor then yells and everyone charges.

"Man, I can never get tired of this scene." Rumi said and I nodded.

"It's this and Infinity War's battle in Wakanda." I said as I lay my head on Rumi's since her head is on my shoulder.

"So, how's the walking broccoli?" She asks.

"He's doing well, he met Mei just after their Quirk Assessment Test and scared the living crap out of everyone in his class, him included." I said to her. She snickered.

"Figures. Never thought that young girl would be that intimidating." She tells me. I hummed in agreement. An hour later, the movie ended and we went to our bedroom. We changed into our pajamas, well, she did. All I did was remove my t-shirt and kicked off my slippers as both of us went to bed. She snuggled up to my chest and we shared one last kiss as I put the blanket over the top of our midsection.

"I love you Rumi Usagiyama." I say to her while smiling and staring into her beautiful eyes.

"I love you too Shiro Kazuki." She says to me and does the same. We both hugged each other as our eyes close and we begin sleeping. Morning came by the next day and I awoke to Rumi sleeping on top of me snoring again. I smiled before ever so gently placing her back on her side of the bed and grabbing a pillow of mine as my replacement. She took it and hugged it immediately before snoring again. I shook my head in amusement as I begin stretching before shadow walking out of the bedroom. I entered the kitchen but not before turning the TV on and switching it to the news channel. I started making some rice as well as preparing some miso soup, salmon and omelettes all at once using my enhanced speed since I'm cooking for both of us. I sat down on the couch as I just finished cooking and plating the omelettes, listening to the news and since we live in the pent house, newspapers are rare. I wait for the fishes to cook so I can plate them as I watch some news and so far nothing interesting is going on aside from the same old shit: All Might or a random hero saving someone or stopping a villain. I glanced at our bedroom door since I heard Rumi groan.

'She's awake.' I thought to myself before I sniffed the air and went to flip the salmons. I then went back to the couch as the bedroom door opens up, revealing a just awoken Rumi in carrot themed pajamas.

"Good morning my sweet bunny." I said to her.

"Mmmm g'mornin' babe…what's for breakfast?" She asks groggily as she sat down next to me on the couch.

"Just the typical salmon, miso, omelette and rice." I responded to her. She groaned once again before the rice cooker dings. I went to the rice and turned the gas off the stove of where the fishes are before plating them and putting them on the table. I checked the miso soup if it's done and decided to let it simmer for 30 more seconds. I called Rumi that breakfast is ready and she walked to the dining area. She sat down on the chair on one side of the table and I sat on the other. I went to the soup and checked it before turning the gas off. I poured one for myself and one for Rumi before heading to the table and giving her share of miso. I sat down on my end before we said,

"Itadakimasu." We started eating breakfast and soon enough, we took a bath together which made me nearly swallow a whole bar of soap thanks to Rumi's playfulness then she got dressed in her hero costume as I in my vigilante costume. We shared a kiss before going our separate ways with her going out through the balcony and I shadow walking out to the back door of the penthouse.

'Today is a good day.'
