Annabeth always had a knack for intelligence. It was in her blood. Or at least it felt that way. Her teachers wanted her to move up in class several times, but every time her father refused because he claimed he wanted her to be a 'normal person'. Ever since her mother left, she's been unwanted. Avoided like a virus from her own family. Well except Mathew and Bobby. At least they had the heart to be kind unlike her stepmother.
Annabeth rushed to grab her phone from the kitchen and swiftly took a granola bar. Hellen made it a strict rule that no phones would be allowed in her room at night. Though Bobby and Mathew were several years younger, they kept their phones at night. It was one of the ways Hellen toyed with her.
From Piper:
Annabeth, my bestest best BFF in the entire world, can you please drive me to school today?
From Annabeth:
yea whatever ill pick u up
From Piper:
Tysm ur so awesome!
As Annabeth piled in her car, she turned the key but the sound of the engine roar to life was nonexistent. Uhgg. please, I don't need to be later than I already am. She thought as she slammed her head onto the steering wheel, and the car magically started.
Annabeth has been to Piper's house plenty of times so she's familiar to where it is. Plus it helps that her dad is Tristan McLean. He's a successful actor. Really successful. So naturally, her house is huge.
From Leo:
Yo can u take me to school
Mom's car died
From Annabeth:
Why'd it die?
Oh you just want to go because Piper's coming with me
From Leo:
Idk it just did
Ugh u know that's not true.
From Annabeth:
Uh hu. Sure
From Leo:
What will it take to convince u
I have my eye on someone else
From Annabeth:
Oh yeah?
From Leo:

As Annabeth pulled up in Piper's humongous estate, she honked the horn indicating she was there. Piper came running out; bag in hand flapping towards the car.
"Phew! Sorry I'm late. You don't want to get in an argument with Jane this early in the morning" warned Piper .
"It's totally fine. Not your fault she's a jerk. Oh and Leo's coming with us…
I think he's really into you." Annabeth says.
"Nah. Besides, he said he likes Cal-." She said, but clamped her mouth shut.
"Calypso? Really?"
"Don't tell him I told you. He will kill me." Piper pleaded.
"Fine. I'm still gonna tease him though." Annabeth promised. Piper whimpered.

"Repair Boy. Ugh. g-ow! get in here already!" Annabeth ordered whilst Leo was throwing things at her and Piper to get space in the back of the car.
"Whats up my dudes?" he asked.
"Leo. We. Are. Not. Dudes. How many times do I hav-" Piper started but was cut off by Leo.
"Dudets! Yeah, yeah I know. Sorry." He apologised.
"It's fine Leo. Just, try not to do it again." she said and he nodded.

I know this was boring, but bear with me, It'll get more interesting in chapter 2 and 3.
Tbh, this was one of the shorter chapters of this story. I have plans for HoO truth or dare, so I might work on mostly this one tomorrow. Hope you guys liked it!
