CH.4
Chun-Li leaned back in her sofa seat and began to tell her recent experience of going to the new tournament.
"It begin like this."she said. "It was on the outskirts of my home town,Hong Kong."
FLASHBACK BEGINS HONG KONG OUTER LIMITS
The blue sports car containing Chun-Li and two police agents came screeching to a halt in front of the old abandonded warehouse they were led to.
"Ugh."said Agent Davis.
"Why is it always in these ratholes we get assigned to where the bad guys are at?"
"Simple."said Agent Fred. "Drug labs and crime cartels don't want to attract too much attention to themselves.
That's why they chose the rat holes."
"My thoughts exactly."said Chun-Li. "Alright,let's get busy!"
Li and her agents armed themselves with their heavy duty police special pistols and got out of the car.
"Be careful though."said Li as she went to the front doors.
"There may be a guard or two waiting."
The two agents nodded and awaited eagerly for the action to begin.
Li nodded as well.
She then carefully went to the front doors and pulled them open to see if anyone was there.
To her surprise,there was no guard stationed,just a vast empty room littered with trash and discarded drug paraphernalia all over the dirty floor.
"Hmmm...nothing..yet that is."she said.
The trio of agents crept inside.
Suddenly,Li spotted a trail of something on the floor.
It was blood,fresh red blood stains.
And the trail led to some doors that were on the right side of the warehouse building.
"Hmmm..."she thought. "...I wonder."
She turned to her two agents.
"This way guys."she said. "But remember,stay close behind..and be prepared..for anything."
"Right."said the two agents in unison.
Li and her team carefully crept towards the side doors.
Once she got to it,she carefully opened them,only to find...
...a single body of a man falling forward towards her.
"YAAH!"cried Li as she suddenly backed away.
The man crashed to the floor.
Li and her agents got a good look at the man.
He was a mexican male with tan skin and wore a green beret commando uniform with a red beret hat to match.
She then checked his pulse.
"Dead."she said. "But..but how?"said Fred.
Li turned his body over and found a series of deep scar and puncture wounds in his abdomen and chest,and they were both soaked with blood.
"So.."said Li. "...at least we found who made the blood trail."
"But...but how did he die?"said Davis. "It looked like someone literally clawed and gutted him to death."
Li took a closer look at the gashes,it for sure looked like he was killed by someone with a claw weapon.
"Claw..."she said. "...only one man I know uses such a weapon...VEGA!"
"Aw man,not that guy."said Fred. "Pretty boy psychopath who works for that Shadowloo outfit."
"The same,no doubt about it."said Li. "And if this guy was a guard for what's ahead,we must be close. Let's go!"
Li and the two agents then found that the doors led to a deep corridor tunnel,complete with more doors.
"Ah-ha!"said Li looking ahead. "We might have found the drug lab hideout after all."
"Good."said Davis. "The drug cartel might not be too far away."
"Yes,but..if Vega's here as well,there might be more to this than meets the eye.
On your guards guys,no matter what."
The trio then carefully crept down through the corridor,waiting for anything to happen.
Suddenly,Li found another of the doors open.
"There!"she whispered. "Come on."
The trio ran over to the open door and looked inside.
Once there,they found a vast drug and computer lab,but something was off about it.
They found various lab technicians and workers,but they were all sprawled out on the floor,and dead to boot.
"What the hell?"said Li. "They're all dead...and...they've all been murdered the same way?"
Suddenly,Li and her agents heard gunfire further down the corridor hall.
"What th-?"said Davis.
The trio then ran outside just in time to see someone running towards them.
"HELP-HELP!"he shouted.
The person in question was a short,fat chinese man dressed in a two piece black suit and he was weilding an uzzi automatic pistol.
He was also scared out of his wits and running for his life.
Li recognised him at first sight.
"Why,that's Willy Gong!"said Li. "The drug lord of Shanghai!"
"Yeah,but what's he running from?"said Fred.
Gong saw Li and her agents.
"Save me..save meeee!"cried Gong.
But before Li could act,Gong suddenly felt something pierce him in the very back and he fell completely forwards.
Li gasped at what she saw and then ran over to the fallen criminal.
She saw that a single shuriken blade stuck him right in his very back.
"SHIT!"said Li as she attempted to pull out of his back.
Within a few seconds,she managed to pull the blade out of Gong's back.
After that,she turned the drug lord over to face her.
He was still alive,but barely.
"Gasp...you-you're Chun-Li Xiang.."said Gong,trying to catch his breath.
"That's right."said Li. "Gong...what happened here...what happened to your men?"
Gong then looked past her and then pointed down the hall.
Someone was standing before them in the darkness.
"H-him..."said Gong. "That..that damn ninja...destroyed my lab!"
"Who-what?"said Li as she turned to see who it was.
The assailaint was about to throw another projectile at them,but Davis lunged and opened fire at the culprit.
Davis fired three shots into the darkness,but to his horror it was to no avail.
"Davis!"said Li. "Get back before he-"
But it was too late,a sinble shuriken blade came flying out of the dark and it hit the agent directly between the eyes.
The impact sent him flying backwards and crashing to the floor.
"DAVIS!"said Fred.
He found that the shuriken blade pierced right into his forehead and blood came oozing out.
"That damn bastard!"said Fred.
"Leave now,fools!"said the dark figure.
"Gong is my intended target...leave or share his fate!"
"Fred."said Li. "You stay with Gong. Me...i'm gonna take that ninja bastard out for keeps!"
Fred agreed reluctantly and took Gong's side.
"Be careful,Miss Xiang."he said. "That guy's obviously no Vega!"
"I'm aware of that."said Li.
Li then put her pistol away and confronted the villian.
"You've got a lot of nerve disrupting our bust up operation here!"she said. "Who the hell are you and what is your business here?"
The ninja said nothing and simply flung a few more blades at Li.
Li saw it coming and she simply fired off a few Kikoken fireballs,knocking them out of the air.
She then took a run into the darkness and attempted to do a handstand kick.
But to her avail,the ninja backed away and ran off into the corridor.
"I'll get you!"said Li as she ran after the culprit.
Li ran down deeper into the hall corridor until she found herself in a large office room that was Gong's.
It was part office and part computer terminal and it also had a very high ceiling.
She could feel that her enemy was watching her and sure enough,she swung around to see the very same ninja come flying downwards at her,claw at the ready.
"Oh,no you don't!"said Li as she leapt high into the air.
"Tenshoukyaku!"
Chun-Li did her flying upward kicks and slammed the ninaj several times in the chest and face by her flurry of aerial assault kicks.
The last one sent her attacker crashing to the very floor.
Li landed on her feet and got a good full view of who she was fighting.
The man leapt to his feet and he was dressed in a dark purple ninja costume complete with a hood mask,and his own hand claw.
"So...you were the one who killed Gong's men."said Li. "Who are you?"
"I am known as Kai of the Geki ninja clan."said the ninja. "That is all you need to know."
"Oh,i'm gonna find out more from you,ninja."said Li as she got into her fight stance. "Even if I have to kick the crap out you doing it!"
Kai snorted and then leapt high into the air and landed right behind Chun-Li.
"I think not!"said the ninja as he lunged forward with his claw.
Li ducked it and then slammed an elbow strike right into Kai's chest.
She then landed a hard chop to his neck and then unleashed her lighting legs attack!
Kai was slammed twice as hard various times by Li's kicks attack.
She then finished it off with a risinng kick uppercut that sent the ninja crashing through Gong's very desk.
It was over,Kai was unconscious and Li had won,but at such a price for one of her best agents.
Half an hour later,the local Hong Kong police arrived to clean up the mess that Kai had left.
Davis was placed in a body bag,while Gong was placed in an ambulence and was being driven off to the hospital.
Li's superior officer Captain Chang was there to hear her report.
"Good news and bad news here and there captain."said Li. "We managed to nail Willy Gong,but at such a price.
Especially for the price of one or best men."
"You did the best you could,Chun-Li."said Chang. "At least we've uncovered a lot of evidence here. And who knows?
With that dirty ninja from the Geki clan in our custody,we might just learn who sent him to kill Gong..and why."
Li nodded and then went over to Agent Fred.
"You okay Fred?"she said. "Fine as I can be."said Fred. "Just a little shook up over what happened. Davis was a pretty decent guy. I sincerly hope that damn ninja gets life in prison over it."
"He probably will."said Li. "Well,at least we know it wasn't Vega.
But right now,i'd like to head home and take a rest and a shower,it's been a long day."
Suddnenly,someone called out her name.
"Chun-Li!"said a voice behind her.
"Wha?"she said turning around.
Standing before was a man wearing a two piece dark suit and shades.
"Who's that?"said Davis. "More trouble?"
The man said nothing more and threw something at Li's feet.
It was a white envelope.
"HEY-WHAT THE?"said Li as she looked down and back up at the man,only to see him vanish wence he came.
"What the hell was that?"said Davis. "Another ninja?"
Li bent down to pick up the envelope.
"No idea."she said. "But I intend to find out here."
END FLASHBACK.
"And so there you have it."said Li. "That's how I got here as well."
"I've heard of the Geki ninja clan."said Ryu. "I even fought one or two in a recent World Warrior tournament."
"Hmmm."said Cammy scratching her chin. "So at least we know Vega's not the only one with his own back scratcher."
"So.."said Ken. "...we probably all got lured by some weirdo weilding a white envelope."
"Not quite."said Guy as he stood up. "Some of us here got...well,lured in a different way."
"I see."said Ryu. "Well...do you and Cody mind sharing your experience on how you got here as well?"
Guy looked over at Cammy.
"I..think we'd best let Cammy have her turn."he said. "And then...if you'd like,we'll tell you our tale.
Cammy grinned.
"Thank you,Guy."she said. "I appreciate that."
Guy nodded and then sat back down near Cody.
"Okay Cam."said Ken. "So what happened to you on the way to the office before getting here."
Cammy took a sip of her iced coffee in a can.
"Like Chun-Li."she said. "I was busy with my line of work before I got my invitation.
I was on an undercover assignment to catch an illicit arms dealer who called himself Deadeye Dick."
FLASHBACK,LONDON ENGLAND.
Cammy was wearing her green hooded overcoat and she was stalking the back alleys of one of London's more seedier slum areas.
Suddenly,she saw some mohawk punk leanind against a lampost,smoking a cigarette.
"Ello luv."he said. "Fancy a drink or a quick one at my place?"
Cammy snorted in disgust and walked on by him.
The hoodlum just gave her the two finger gesture.
"And you-bloody tart!"he said back.
"Bloody prick!"Cammy thought. "If I run into that bastard again,he'll fell a kick in the knackers!"
Cammy walked down the corner of Giles and Clerkenwell.
She then ran across the street until she found a nearby fixit garage shop that said the words.
"DICK'S FIXIT SHOP!" across the top.
"There it is."she thought. She then slipped around a corner and got out her cell phone.
Cammy dialed a number and the voice of Colonel K Wolfman came on the other line.
"Cammy?"he said. "That you?"
"Yes,yes it is colonel."said Cammy. "I've found the actual shop,it has the name Dick on it.
But...you never can be too careful."
"Understood."said Wolfman. "But our sources and informants have pinpointed that this Deadeye's current hideout.
And we've got enough evidence to nail him this time. So...get your arse in gear and arrest that bastard...before anyone else get hurt or worse."
"Yes sir,over and out."said Cammy.
She then put her cell phone away and proceeded to the fixit shop.
Cammy found that the shop was still open despite the late hours,she then opened the door and made her way inside.
Inside she found a medium sized room with a long table counter and table top,complete with a computerized cash register.
And behind the counter were various shelves with varios electronics,cell phones and cell phones and flatscreen computers all waiting to be repaired.
In the center between the shelves was a curtain covered doorway.
She then found a single bell dinger on the countertop.
"Well..."she thought. "...here goes nothing."
Cammy tapped the bell dinger loud enough to attract the attention of whoever was behind the curtain.
"Coming!"said a loud british voice behind the curtain.
A middle aged man with a bald head and beard and glasses came through the curtain and stood before Cammy.
"Er..hello there misses."said the man. "What can I do for you this evening?"
Cammy cleared her throat. "I'm here to see your boss...namely . Is here here?"
The old man's eyes arched and his lip sneered nervously. "Uhmm...well...yes,he is."said the man. "But...he's very busy at this time."
"Well...I have a...certain 'payoff' for him if he's interested."said Cammy. "It's really important that I see him."
"Oh eh...a payoff you say."said the man. "I'll...i'll go see him right away!"
The old man went back behind the curtain and went to the back rooms.
Cammy smiled. "They fall for it every time."
She then placed both of her hands on the countertop and leapt right over it,allowing herself to land on her very feet.
"I'd best be very careful here."she thought. "There's no telling how Dick could take this visit."
Cammy then carefully opened the curtain and sure enough,she saw the old man speaking with her quarry,Deadeye Dick himself.
"Payoff-PAYOFF!"he shouted in rage. "You bloody stupid fool! That's what they want you think!"
"Uh-oh.."thought Cammy. "..looks like it's about getting ugly real quick! I'd better act fast!"
"Don't you recall that i'm a wanted man in London?"said Dick. "It's obviously a police agent or someone after me!"
"Uh-uh-sorry !"stammered the worker. "I'll...i'll try to stall her."
"You do that,at once!"said Deadeye. "Me..i'll exit out the back way and get back till the heat dies down!"
"Right,right-yessir!"said the old man as he nervously walked back to the main lobby.
"Oop!"said Cammy. "I'd best make haste around back-starting now!"thought Cammy.
The commando then ran out of the front door of the fixit shop and ran immediately around back to where the back garage door was.
She then waited around a corner for the garage to open and sure enough.
Sure enough,it opened and out came a large dark green hummer jeep came charging out and Deadeye Dick was at the wheel.
"Well..it's now or never!"thought Cammy.
She then reached into her commando utility belt and took out a hand grenade.
Cammy then unclippe and tossed it at the very ground in front of the hummer,causing a medium explosion of smoke and fire.
"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL?"shouted Dick as he slammed on the brakes.
Emerging from the smoke,Cammy threw off her hood cloak and aimed her uzzi pistol directly at the villian.
"Wha-you're one of them Delta Red bastards!"said Dick.
"That's right,Dick!"said Cammy. "In the name of Delta Red and MI-6,I place you under arrest..give yourself up,Dickson!"
Dick sneered and then activated a control under the dash.
A set of submachine gun pistols emerged from the headlights and were aimed on Cammy.
"PISS OFF!"shouted Dick as he opened fire upon her.
"BLOODY HELL!"shouted Cammy as she dove for the nearest garabage cans,barely evading the machine gun fire.
Dick laughed wickedly and started to take off.
"Tell those wankers in MI-6 to sod off down a sewer!"he shouted. "No one takes me down-or in!"
Cammy leapt back to her feet from the cans.
"Blimey,who does he think he is with vehicle gadges...James bloody Bond?"she thought.
The hummer was about to take off,but before Dick could completely get away,she took out another grenade and threw it at the back left tire.
The impact of explosion was enough to break loose the tire,he was grounded.
"Alright"said Cammy. "Now I got'em!"
Dick came out with a hand held chainsaw.
"You stinkin'bitch!"he said. "That was my ticket outta here!"
"Only place you're going is a nice jain cell downtown,Dick!"said Cammy. "Now surrender!"
Dick activated his weapon and charged at his enemy.
"NEVER!"he shouted.
Cammy dodged Dick's chainsaw attack and kicked him in the gut,knocking him forwards.
She then started to aim his uzzi at the villian,but to her dismay Dick swung his chainsaw at her,cutting the barrel in two.
Cammy scolwed and then threw her firearm down.
"Alright,let's do this the hard way!"she said as she took up her fight stance.
Dick smiled wickedly and then charged at her again.
Cammy dodged his next attack and tripped him.
Dick nearly fell over,but kept to his feet.
Dick was tiring,but he kept on the attack.
He then went for one last attack,but Cammy ducked it and then unleashed her Cannon Spike,literally kicking him in the chin.
The impact caused the terrorist to fall completely backwards and crash to the mud covered ground.
It was over,Cammy had won.
"Whew!"she replied. "Well,for a small fry,he kept me pretty busy."
Suddenly,Cammy saw someone standing across from her,it was a black clad ninja of some kind.
"What the-?"said Cammy. "Hey,what are you-?"
The ninja threw something down at her feet,and then vanished.
"Blimey."said Cammy as she looke down and saw a single white envelope.
"This night's just full of surpises tonight."
END FLASHBACK.
"Minutes later,"said Cammy. "I contacted the local police as well as Colonel Wolfman and handed Dick over to the law itself. It was brief,but I managed to apprehend one of London's most vicious arms dealers. As well as getting invited to this fight contest we're getting ready for tonight."
Chun-li clapped her hands in applause.
"Well done,Cammy."she said. "From one law enforecment officer to another,that was quite a catch."
"Thank you,Chun-Li. "said Cammy. "We soldier ladies seem to get more action besides a street fight or two ya know.
Ryu chuckled.
"Well,i've seen and fought my share of various fighters,good and bad."he said. "And yes,your experiences were quite entertaining.
"Yeah,they were at that."said Ken. "Okay...Guy,and Cody. We did our part,it's your turn."
"Gladly."said Guy as he arose. "Aw,do we gotta,Guy?"said Cody.
"Yes,Cody."said Guy. "It'll help pass the time and we may need help in finding out more about how we got here."
"Great."thought Yun. "The Metro morons are joining the club."
Guy and Cody sat down on the couch with Li and Cammy.
"I admit,we are pretty curious on how you lot got involved in this."said Cammy. "Well,it's quite a tale to tell."said Guy. "It's going to have to be told by both of us.
Because...believe it or not. We were brought here by the people who were organizing this tournament."
"You were eh?"said Ken. "Well,this should be interesting."
"I'll say."said Ryu. "So..what happened?"
Meanwhile in the upper levels of the building and in a dark cage laiden ring,a fight was being finished.
An MMA fighter was fighting it out with another fighter,a very skilled Muay Thai fighter at that.
The MMA swung a punch,but it was blocked off and he was recieved a very sharp elbow strike to the chin.
The MMA fighter coughed out wind and blood as he staggered backwards.
The mauy thai fighter smiled savagely in the darkness at his oppoenent's pain.
"You dirty bastard!"shouted the MMA. "I'll show you!"
The MMA fighter tried one final attack,but he was cut short by a rising knee attack that sent him crashing to the floor.
It was over,the thai fighter won the match.
"WINNER!"said an electronic voice,
The crowds in the darkness cheered at the display.
The thai fighter emerged from the darkness,it was Adon himself.
" ?"said a voice behind him.
"Yeah?"said Adon as he turned around to see who adress him.
A japanese man in a black suit was glasses adressed him.
"The one named Ryu is here."he said.
Adon smiled once again. "Good."he said. "That's all I needed to hear,HEE-HEE-HEE!"
