Quick AN: Hi guys! Welcome to my story, so I'll keep this brief but thanks for stopping and reading my story about a guy that'll gain control of the zerg. There's a lot of them already, but most of them aren't completed so my aim is to actually complete it. With that said I don't own Starcraft, only this fanfiction here. This is a Prologue chapter so super short, but don't worry the other ones will be longer.
Chapter 1/ Prologue
The intense final fight between zerg and Terran now came to a close. Drew could feel all his stored apprehension disappear. He brushed his sweat-filled orange hair away from his slick chestnut brown skin as he leaned back in his gamer chair. He was in his bedroom, an averagely-sized navy blue room filled with posters and scattered school supplies. After a few seconds passed he jumped out of his chair and cheered, now realizing what he had accomplished. He had beaten a supremely hard DLC, both in difficulty and rarity as only ten copies were made, and he was rather proud of it.
He was happy, but then he realized that this meant there was no more content for him to play. He sighed and flopped down into his light purple bed and looked up. He knew he was going to miss Starcraft, but he knew he was going to miss the zerg in particular.
Something about them just struck a chord with him and he also liked to fantasize about certain things like how they moved, what it felt liked to have a psychic connection, and even how they looked up close. He gazed back at his screen and saw the victory screen with the zerg symbol, but with a particular oddity on it.
Rather than being colored purple, it was colored blue and purple- his two favorite colors. He'd never seen this before and was rather interested if this was a visual glitch or if he was now colorblind. He got up and plopped back down in his chair and admired the effect.
"I'm not sure how to feel about this, but dang I prefer it like this." Then the screen shifted. The 'victory' screen now displayed a message.
Congratulations on your victory! This is a very exclusive DLC for the very few people who still keep Starcraft near to their hearts. This will be the last installation in the Starcraft series, so let us make it last even longer.
Those words touched his heart, he still did care about Starcraft as it was one of the very first games he played and still one of the only strategy games that actually kept his interest to this day. Then a countdown appeared at the side of the screen and it had three words that would change his life forever.
'Continue as Zerg?' It wasn't that late in the day, he thought. He could afford to play for another hour or two maybe. He smiled clicked the 'Yes' button excited to prolong the final time he would be able to play as the Zerg.
Little did he know though... that he wouldn't be playing his computer game anymore.
He was going to be playing the game of life as a ruler of the zerg.
So yeah nothing too long for the prologue, and I didn't bother hiding anything he will become the Zerg Overmind, and its going to be awesome. Don't worry though I'm not see-through...
