The kids help Lucifer and Chloe with a murder mystery.

Chapter 10

10 pm Santa Monica Pier.

The park was closed. A woman seem like she was running from someone and she was. Right behind her, was a shadowy hooded figure with a knife. The woman looked for a place to hide. She then hid in a funhouse haunted house. She heard footsteps then went to a room filled with mirrors. When she saw the figure it looked like she was surrounded. The figure attacked. The woman fought the best she could. They struggled then she grabbed the hood. She then became shocked by who it was.

Woman: "Why are you doing this?"

?: "….." (raises the knife)

Woman: "All I've done is love you! Please don't do this!"

?: (inaudible speaking)

Woman: "NO! NO! NO!"

The figure stabbed the woman in the stomach then the neck. The figure then stabbed over and over making the mirrors very bloody. The figure then fled leaving the woman for dead…

The next day, the pier opened. A teenage couple was going into the funhouse haunted house. The guy kept scaring his girl which she found annoying. They then started making out in the hall of mirrors. It was then she saw blood on her shoe.

Girl: "Seriously?! Stop trying to scare me!"

Guy: "What are you talking about?"

Girl: "Fake blood on the floor."

Guy: "Fake blood? I didn't put fake bloo-"

Girl: (screams)

Guy: "WHAT?!"

Girl: "Even a fake body?! How immature can you be? I'm out of here.."

Guy: "Baby! That body is real!"

Girl: "It's….REAL?!" (SCREAMING)

At the penthouse, Mitch was shirtless brushing his teeth. He was deep in thought.

Mitch: Just ask her. Just ask her. Just ask her… It's not that hard. You're boyfriend and girlfriend now….

Evelynn: "These pancakes smell so good."

Blake: "Chocolate chip pancakes! Just like Mommy makes."

Emma: "Actually Blake. Mommy and Daddy made the pancakes together."

Blake: "When Mommy and Daddy come back for us, we make them every day?"

Emma: "Sure. They'll come back…."

Evelynn: "…" (getting upset)

Emma: "Evelynn."

Evelynn: "Huh what?"

Emma: "Can you let Emiri and the boys know breakfast is ready?"

Evelynn: "Sure… Mitch! Hey Mitch!"

Mitch: (comes in the living room, still brushing) "Hmm?"

Evelynn just went completely red! Her heart was beating extra fast. She seen Mitch shirtless before on the beach a couple of times but this felt so different now that they're a couple. It felt so hot so attractive….. She turned around quickly hiding her face from him. Because she was blushing and drooling a bit.

Mitch: "L-Lynn?! W-What's wrong?! What did I do?!"

Evelynn: "You know what you did!"

Mitch: "Actually no! I don't know!"

Noah: "Morning." (kisses Emma's cheek) "Oooh. Pancakes."

Emma: "Hey."

Emiri: "Yay! Come on Genbu. Emma's making pancakes!"

Gen: (yawns)

Lucifer: "Is that what am smelling?"

Emma: "Good morning Lucifer."

Lucifer: "Morning Emma… Smaller children….Morning Evelynn."

Evelynn: SO HOT. SO HOT. SO HOT. SO HOT.

Lucifer: "What's wrong with her?"

Mitch: (puts on a shirt) "Hey Dad. Morning."

Lucifer: "Oh. Never mind. Oh get use to it love. You are going to be seeing a lot of that."

Evelynn: (SCREAMING ON THE INSIDE)

Emma: "Here Blakey." (hands him a pancake)

Lucifer: "Yum." (takes pancake)

Blake: "Hey!"

Emma: (scoffs) "Mr. Lucifer!"

Lucifer: "What?"

Gen: "That was Blake's pancake.."

Lucifer: "I am far hungrier."

Emma: "Here kiddo."

Lucifer: "Mmmm more." (begins to take it)

Blake: "Mine! You got yours this is mine! NYAH!"

Lucifer: "NYAH!" (opens his mouth)

Mitch: "Ugh! Real mature Dad.."

Blake: "Ew!"

Emma: "Lucifer no playing with your food."

Lucifer: "He started it!"

Evelynn: "What a dorky devil…"

Mitch: "Hey Lynn…"

Evelynn: "Yeah?"

Mitch: "I was wondering if…well…..maybe you wanna go….uh…"

Lucifer: "Spit it out!"

Mitch: "Not helping Dad!"

Evelynn: "What's up?"

Mitch: "Do uh….wanna hang with me at the Santa Monica Pier later on today? Just me and you?"

Evelynn: "Really? Like a date?"

Mitch: "I mean if you want to. If it's no trouble…"

Evelynn: "No. Not it all. I love to go with you."

Mitch: "Awesome." YES!

(elevator dings)

Chloe: "Morning you guys. Something smells good."

Mitch: "Hey Chloe."

Evelynn: "Hi."

Emma: "Hello Ms. Decker."

Lucifer: "Good morning Detective."

Chloe: "Good morning Lucifer."

Mitch: "Oi. No Lovey dovey during breakfast."

Shiro: "Children are eating."

Chloe: (kisses Lucifer's cheek) "You ready?"

Lucifer: "For?"

Chloe: "We got a case."

Lucifer: "Ah! Like old times. I just hope I'm not rusty."

Chloe: "I don't think so."

Mitch: (munching) "You have a case?"

Chloe: "Yeah."

Evelynn: "Someone was killed? You don't have to soothe us. We're not kids."

Lucifer: "Well pre-adolescence is still a child."

Evelynn: "Nyah."

Mitch: "Maybe later on, we can go to the Pier together."

Evelynn: "Mhm."

Chloe: "Wait. The Santa Monica Pier?"

Mitch: "Yeah."

Chloe: "I'm sorry Mitch. You can't go there.."

Mitch: "What?"

Lucifer: "Why can't they go?"

Chloe: "Because a woman was killed there."

Lucifer: "Oh!"

Chloe: "The pier is off-limits until this case is solved."

Lucifer: "Sorry son.. Maybe it won't be long.. Cases we have don't last forever." (pats his shoulder)

Mitch: "…I wanted to spend time with you while we're in LA…."

Evelynn: "We can go somewhere else. Right?" (cheers him up)

Mitch: (smiles)

Lucifer: "Well we should get going. Hope I'm not forgetting anything."

Chloe: "Okay. Let's go. See you soon. (kisses Mitch's cheek) Bye everyone."

Mitch: "?!"

Kids: "Bye."

Evelynn: "You okay dude?"

Mitch: "She kissed me like she was my….."

Emma: "Like she was your mom? That's not so bad. I mean she is going to be your mom. That's normal."

Mitch: "I guess so but still….."

Evelynn: "Yeah. It is normal. Just give her a chance. Come on let's think of somewhere else to go."

Mitch: "Sure."

Lucifer: "Hmm.."

Chloe: "What?"

Lucifer: "You know what you just did to my boy right?"

Chloe: "What I just kissed him on the….OOOOH! I kissed his cheek."

Lucifer: "Yes."

Chloe: "I gave him a "Mom kiss" didn't I?"

Lucifer: "Yes you did."

Chloe: "Oh no…..It's already awkward between us. I don't want that to push him further away from me…"

Lucifer: "It might shocked him as well but I doubt that bothered him."

Chloe: "You sure?"

Lucifer: All is well Chloe. When this whole ordeal is over, we can be a proper family. Me, you, Trixie, and Arthur."

Chloe: "Would he come here? To live with us?"

Lucifer: "You want Arthur to live in Los Angeles?"

Chloe: "I know he has magic school and his friends. But is it okay for him to live alone in London? Another country?"

Lucifer: "He seems fine there. He has his friends, his other family, and he has Evelynn."

Chloe: "But we'll be his family."

Lucifer: (hesitant) "Let's talk about this some other time."

Chloe: (smiles) "Sure. No need to talk about this already. We can talk about it some other time.. You okay?"

Lucifer: "I feel like I am forgetting something."

Chloe: "Probably not very important."

Lucifer: "I suppose."

Back in the penthouse, Blake and Gen wanted to watch TV. When they got the remote, they saw Lucifer's drinking bottle that he always takes with him.

Blake: "What is this?"

Gen: "It looks like something to drink."

When they got to the crime scene, Chloe went to look at the body while something grabbed Lucifer from behind.

?: (beats him) "You said you would stop disappearing on us! First it was a few months then it became 11 years! I heard it from Chloe, but you explain yourself mister!"

Lucifer: "Hello Ms. Lopez."

Ella: "I have half a mind to not speak to you ever again. I thought you were really gone…"

Lucifer: "I am here to stay."

Ella: "This might be a lie too."

Lucifer: "Ridiculous. I don't lie."

Ella: "Okay. I'll believe you for now. So a little birdie told me you have a kid. A son."

Lucifer: "Yes. A little birdie."

Chloe: (smiles)

Ella: "I can't believe you cheated on Chloe."

Lucifer: "Well I thou-…"

Ella: "Look I don't know how that happened, but she loves you. All she thought about was you and how she did that… She said she doesn't know how that happened."

Lucifer: "I see."

Ella: "She literally doesn't remember."

Lucifer: "Well the past is the past. We are finally together again. We're getting married."

Ella: "I heard that too. Just no more cheating! Both of you!"

Lucifer: "No mas."

Ella: "I mean it."

Chloe: "Ella. Can you fill us in?"

Ella: "Right right right. Okay. The victim's name is Alana McCrae. She was stabbed multiple times. Look at her shoes. She was running from her assailant."

Chloe: "Where was she found?"

Ella: "Teenage couple found her in the haunted funhouse. Oooooo."

Lucifer: "Odd. Not even Halloween.."

Chloe: (chuckles) "Look at this weird ring around her neck. See how it was pulled like the person who did this to her was trying to strangle her before they stabbed her to death."

Ella: "Good eye. I need to look at the ring around her neck a little closer so scuse me."

Lucifer: "Oh bloody hell.."

Chloe: "What's wrong?"

Lucifer: "I left my drinking bottle…"

Chloe: "You shouldn't be drinking at a crime scene anyway. What have I told you about that?"

Lucifer: "I need a good swallow every now and then.."

Chloe: "Then have some soda from the stand over there."

Lucifer: "Soda.. Sounds boring…"

Mitch was looking at the other places to go to by looking up romantic spot in Los Angeles. He then saw Blake and Gen touching Lucifer's drinking bottle.

Mitch: "Hey guys. What are you playing with?"

Gen: "It's a drink. We're trying to get it open."

Emma: "Hold on… Wait this has LM on it."

Shiro: "Lucifer Morningstar. That's his whisky bottle."

Mitch: "Boys don't!" (takes it from them) "Whisky is bad for us."

Blake: "What's whisky?"

Mitch: "It's uh…well…Noah help me…."

Noah: "It's what grown ups drink when they wanna get wasted."

Blake, Emiri, and Gen: "Ooooooh!"

Blake: "Wasted sounds so cool. I wanna get wasted."

Emiri: "Me too!"

Gen: "Same!"

Emma and Mitch: "NO YOU DON'T!"

Emma: "How do you know that Noah?"

Noah: "My dad and stepmother are like that."

Evelynn: "So your dad drinks?"

Mitch: "He also smokes.."

Blake: "Smoking bad too?"

Older kids: "Yes!"

Blake: "Mommy and Daddy never smoke. When they get back, I'll tell them that."

Emma: "Yes. Cause they know smoking is wrong."

Blake: "Uh-huh!"

Evelynn: "So is lying…."

Emma: (grumbles)

Blake: "Huh?"

Emma: "Nothing sweetie. Go play." (looks at Evelynn) "What are you doing?"

Evelynn: "What are you doing?! You're lying to him. Mom and Dad aren't coming back."

Emma: "You don't know that. Ms. Maze might have already found them by now."

Evelynn: "Even if she did find them, they're not coming with her. I hate liars!"

Emma: "So you hate Mom and Dad?"

Evelynn: "They lied to us…."

Emma: "I get that but still just because you lost faith in them doesn't mean Blake should lose it too. He's only 4 years old."

Evelynn: "What about your little outburst huh? Are you gonna hold it in again? Or are you gonna let loose and attack Noah again."

Emma: (clenches fist, deep breath) "I can show my feelings, but I won't be monstrous. The last thing I want is to hurt our family. And I didn't hurt him…"

Evelynn: "Right.."

Mitch: "I'm heading out."

Evelynn: "Where you going?"

Mitch: "I'm giving this back to Dad." (kisses her cheek)

Emma: "Do you even know where to go?"

Mitch: "Santa Monica Pier is 20 minutes away. It's not far. I'll probably ride with them on the way back." (wings out) "See ya later."

When he got there, he saw police tape and an ambulance. He made sure officers weren't looking then snuck under the tape. He then went looking for Lucifer.

Ella: "So."

Chloe: "So what?"

Ella: "You sure you wanna be stepmom to a kid?"

Chloe: "I raised Trixie. I can handle it."

Ella: "You must already like him."

Chloe: "There are some rough patches between us but we're kinda warming up to one another. He's still thinking about his mother."

Ella: "He's not thinking you'll replace her, is he?"

Chloe: "No Lucifer explained. I would never do that. I'm only concerned with where he's living."

Ella: "Where does he live?"

Chloe: "London."

Ella: "LONDON?! I hope you mean London, Ohio or London, Arkansas! Please tell me you don't mean…"

Chloe: "London, England."

Ella: "Why would he put his kid in London UK?! Is he a bad seed? Is he a juvie?"

Chloe: "No. No no no. He is a sweet boy. It's complicated. His mother raised him in London. All by herself. She died 2 years ago. Now he lives with another family and let's just that they're helping Lucifer raise him."

Ella: "What? Lucifer don't know how to raise his own son?"

Chloe: "Ella… He never saw him when he was born."

Ella: "What…? Why?"

Chloe: "It's…."

Ella: "Complicated.."

Chloe: (laughs) "I don't want to impose on how his life is or how he lives it. But I feel deep in my heart that his home is with us. I don't know how but somehow, I feel it in here that he belongs here with us. Trixie already loves him like he's her actual little brother. Me, Lucifer, and Trixie. We'll be his family. But….Ella….How do I do this…."

Ella: "What's he like?"

Chloe: (smiles) "He's kind, he's sweet. He's very smart. You should see him Ella. He looks just like Lucifer."

Ella: (nods then sees Mitch) "Uh…..yeah…." (looks at Lucifer) "Resemblance is VERY uncanny. Except for the brunette hair."

Chloe: "Yeah. Wait how do you know he's a brunette?"

Ella: "I'm looking at him."

Chloe: "Oh my… What's he doing here?! Lucifer!"

Lucifer: "Hmm?"

Chloe: "Look!"

Lucifer: "Wha…Oh bloody hell! Arthur!"

Mitch: "Dad!" (goes to him)

Ella: "I thought his name is Mitch."

Chloe: "Mitch is a nickname."

Ella: "Huh.. He kinda reminds me of Trixie. Her hair is brunette too."

Chloe: "Yeah he does."

Lucifer: "What are you doing here?"

Mitch: "You left this on the table. I took it from Blake and Gen.. You shouldn't have booze around toddlers…"

Lucifer: "I was thinking about this. I had to resort to drinking soda. Quite boring."

Mitch: "You didn't hear what I said did you…? Anyway, I bet you don't go anywhere without it so I brought it here to you."

Lucifer: "Good boy." (pours it in soda)

Mitch, Chloe, and Ella: (sweat drop)

Mitch: "Dad. You're seriously putting that in soda?"

Lucifer: "Gives it a kick. (takes a sip) Mmm! Not bad!"

Ella: "He's not gonna do that when he's older is he?"

Chloe: "I…..I hope not…"

Ella: "I want to meet him." (goes to them)

Chloe: "Ella!"

Coroner: "Detective Decker do I take the body to the morgue?"

Chloe: "Uh…yes. Please."

Ella: "Hi."

Mitch: "Uh..hi."

Ella: "You must be Mitch. I'm Ella. Is it Mitch or Arthur?"

Mitch: "Mitch is fine. Nice to meet you Miss…."

Lucifer: "Lopez."

Mitch: "Miss Lopez."

Ella: "Aren't you quite the charmer. And so handsome."

Lucifer: "Yes he gets that from me."

Ella: "Uh….no."

Mitch: (laughs)

Lucifer: (grumbles)

Chloe: "Mitch you shouldn't enter a crime scene. How did you get in?"

Mitch: "I snuck in."

Chloe: "What?! Really?!"

Lucifer: "That's my boy."

Chloe: "Don't encourage him! I don't want Mitch picking up some of your bad habits…"

Ella: They sound like a family..

Mitch then saw the people put the body in a body bag.

Mitch: "Is that the woman that was killed?"

Ella: "Yeah they're taking her to do an autopsy. Which I need to do. I gotta ride back with them."

Lucifer: (holds Mitch closer) "You don't need to see something like that. You're a child."

Mitch: "Seriously Dad….."

Lucifer: "You have seen too much anyway."

Man: "ALANA! NO! ALANA! THAT'S MY WIFE!"

Mitch got away from Lucifer and saw the man rushing toward the body bag. He was crying extremely hard. Two policemen tried to pry him away, but he held on tightly. Mitch started to understand him. The woman looked around the same age as his mother.

Mitch: "Chloe. How old was she?"

Chloe: "She was 27."

Mitch: "Like Mom…"

Ella: "?! When you said that his mother died you mean that she…."

Chloe: "She was killed.."

Ella: "Oh…."

Chloe: "Lucifer. Take Mitch to the car."

Lucifer: "Of course…"

Mitch: "It's horrible…..isn't it Dad?"

Lucifer: "It is… Now come. Let's get you in the car."

As they rode back to Los Angeles, Mitch just thought about the man who was crying when his wife was killed.

Lucifer: "That was the victim's husband."

Chloe: "Yeah. Garret McCrae. If we question him we figure out why someone wanted his wife dead."

Lucifer: "Usually it would be the husband that did it."

Chloe: "It some cases yeah the husband would be the guilty party but…." (looks at Mitch)

Mitch: Staaaaaaarrrrrrreeeee

Chloe: "I don't think we should be discussing a case with your son in the backseat."

Lucifer: "What? He's not listening. Are you son?"

Mitch: (chuckles) "Nah. I heard nothing." (puts in air buds, plays music on phone)

Chloe: (looks at him, smiles) "We're like a family already."

Lucifer: (holds her hand) "We will be."

Chloe: "I'll try to be understanding about Mitch's living situation. But I really do think he should be in California with us."

Lucifer: "….."

Chloe: (touches his cheek) "I'm sorry I'm a little too forward."

Lucifer: "It's quite alright. I've actually been thinking the same thing honestly."

Chloe: (smiles) "Really?"

Mitch: What are they talking about?

When they got to the police station, Mitch just stared in aw with how large the place was.

Mitch: "You work here?!"

Lucifer: "Fascinating isn't it?"

Mitch: "Really incredible Dad."

Officer: "Welcome back Lucifer."

Lucifer: "Oh you're still here. Good to see you again."

Chloe: "Mitch why don't you sit somewhere while we talk to the husband."

Mitch saw the husband following Lucifer and Chloe into interrogation. He then stopped him.

Mitch: "Hey…..uh….."

Garret: "?"

Mitch: "I'm sorry about your wife…"

Garret: "…Thanks kid….."

Mitch then looked and saw a room next to the interrogation room. He then made sure no cops were watching him then went on in. He then saw a window where Lucifer and Chloe were talking to him.

Mitch: "Yes! I thought this was the room. It's where you watch the cops through those two way windows interrogate the suspects. Like in Castle and Bones. The shows I watched when I was a little kid. Why the hell am I talking to myself….? Damn it…."

(no audio)

Mitch: "I can't hear anything.. Which button do I press? Grandfather point me to the right button." (presses button)

Chloe: "Mr. McCrae. I want you to know how sorry I am for your loss."

Mitch: "Yes!"

Garret: "I just want to know who would do something like this to her…"

Lucifer: "I don't know you tell us."

Chloe: "Lucifer!"

Garret: "Excuse me?"

Lucifer: "Tell me Gary. You have a knife collection?"

Mitch: "Really Dad?"

Chloe: "Excuse my partner….Hey!"

Lucifer: "Is it wrong to ask if the man killed his wife?"

Chloe: (scoffs)

Garret: "You think I killed her?!"

Chloe: "Mr. McCrae where were you last night around 10pm?"

Garret: "I had just got back from a business trip. A late flight. Listen. I would never hurt Alana. Before my first wife, I met her when we were in high school. I had a thing for her. But she was dating a dickhead of a brute."

Chloe: "What guy?"

Garret: "Her ex. She broke it off with him then we started seeing each other. One time I saw them arguing and he put his hands on her. So I got between them. He told her that she made a big mistake choosing me. Said that she would regret it."

Chloe: "Can you give me a name?"

Garret: "Carlos Martinez."

Mitch: "Woah.." (presses some buttons by accident)

(LOUD AUDIO FEEDBACK)

Garret: "AH!"

Chloe: "WHAT THE?!"

Lucifer: "BLOODY HELL!"

Mitch: ?! (presses a button) "Sorry guys."

Chloe: "Mitch?!"

Lucifer: "What are you doing back there?!"

Mitch: "Sorry Dad.."

Lucifer: "Excuse me…"

Chloe: "Be calm Lucifer. (to Garret) "His son."

Garret: "I have a daughter.

(BOP ON THE HEAD)

Mitch: "Ow! DAD!"

Lucifer: "Get over here!"

Chloe: (nervous laughing) "Kids.."

The cops saw Lucifer pulling Mitch by the ear. Ella saw this after getting results.

Mitch: "OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! I said I was sorry! I got curious!"

Lucifer: "Curiosity killed the cat!"

Ella: "Lucifer. Fatherhood becomes you."

Lucifer: "I try.. My boy has become inquisitive…"

Mitch: "Well at least tell me you'll catch the guy. You make sure that whoever did this pays."

Ella: "This seems personal to you."

Mitch: "She was around my mother's age when she died."

Lucifer: "Watch him please."

Ella: "On it." (pulls a few of Mitch's hair)

Mitch: "Ow! What was that for?!"

Ella: "Oh nothing! Just playing with you."

Lucifer: "I'm going to take him back to the penthouse."

Chloe: "Oh. Okay. Will I see you later?"

Lucifer: "Of course you will."

As they were flying back, Mitch saw a school building. He then saw his older cousin Charlie coming out talking to some friends. Mitch flew down and hid. When Charlie was by himself, he snuck up to him.

Mitch: "Do these friends of you're Half-Angel?"

Charlie: "NO! They don't—Hey! Mitch!"

Mitch: "Hey Charlie."

Charlie: "Come here little cousin!" (gives him a hug) "What are you doing back here?"

Mitch: "It's a long story."

Mitch then saw a girl with messy short hair coming out. He saw that kids were greeting her and saying they were sorry for her loss.

Mitch: "Who's she cuz?"

Charlie: "Oh…That's Sierra. Sierra McCrae. Her mom died today…I don't know the details but she said that her mom was killed."

Mitch: "McCrae? Was her mom's name Alana?"

Charlie: "Yeah! How'd you know."

Mitch: "Well…MMMMM?!"

Charlie: "Uncle Luci!"

Lucifer: Oh the less you know the better. So that is her daughter?"

Charlie: "Yeah what happen to her mom was awful…I sorta have a thing for her. I wanted to ask her out but then that happen."

Mitch: (breaks free) "Hey. What about Henri?"

Charlie: "Henri really is a nice Mage girl. But all we do is write and text."

Mitch: "I won't say a word."

Charlie: "Thanks Bro."

Lucifer: "Well since I'm here might as well take you to Lux. Your father is there. Come along you too." (wings out)

Mitch: (wings out)

Charlie: (wings out)

Emma: "Charlie!"

Charlie: "Hey Emma."

Evelynn: "It's good to see you again."

Charlie: "You too Lynn. You're still cool as always."

Evelynn: (blushes) "Oh stop."

Mitch: (holds her) "Yeah stop…."

Charlie: "Wait. You two are….No way.. Lynn you're dating my baby cousin."

Evelynn: "Yep."

Mitch: "Baby?! How am I a baby?!"

Charlie: "Uh you're like 3 years younger than me." (pats his head)

Mitch: "Why I oughta…"

Emma: "Now now now."

Charlie: "Isn't Emma and Lynn older than you too?"

Mitch: "SO?!"

Evelynn: "We're older than him by a few months."

Charlie: "Wow. My little cousin is dating an older woman."

Evelynn: (laughs)

Mitch: "BY A FEW MONTHS YOU DICK!"

Lucifer: "Alright alright easy before I bop you on the head again."

Mitch: (grumbles)

Evelynn: (laughs)

Mitch: "Lynn…"

Evelynn: "Aw don't give me that face. You know I love you."

Out on the balcony Mitch just laid there and mope. Then Charlie came out and that made him grumble.

Charlie: (hands over him) "Come on! I was just joking!"

Mitch: "Your jokes make me want to kick your ass."

Charlie: "Okay something other than me is bothering you. What's wrong?"

Mitch: "I wanted me and Lynn to go on a date to the Santa Monic Pier but that's where your friend's mom was killed so the place is off limits till this is solved."

Charlie: "Aw. You wanted to make out with your OLDER lady."

Mitch: "SHUT IT UP!"

Charlie: (laughs) "Okay seriously though this date will happen. Trust me. You and Lynn are lucky to have each other. You both hung in there despite the odds."

Mitch: "Nothing was gonna keep us apart. Not even some legend about them."

Charlie: "Yeah what is that about anyway?"

Mitch: "Well long story short, the twins and our Familiars are suppose to put an end to an ancient deity. They are already 12 so I don't know what happens next… we don't even know when it's suppose to happen."

Charlie: "Damn."

Mitch: "So tell me about Sierra and her mom."

Charlie: "Well I met her once. She was so nice. But Sierra. Well I would sometimes see them fight."

Mitch: "They fight?!"

Charlie: "Yeah. And when I ask her about she says the same thing, "I can't stand her…" She says that."

Mitch: "Wow. What would make her hate her own mother like that? Like I'm in a position to talk. I just want Dad and Chloe to find the guy that did this to her. Find him and make him pay big time."

Evelynn: "Wow."

Noah: "Yeah. That's some heavy baggage for a complete stranger."

Charlie: "I agree."

Emma: "You were like that since you got back Mitch. What's wrong?"

Mitch: "The victim is the same age as my mom when she died. She was 27.."

Emma: "That's so sad.."

Mitch: "Right now they're off to interrogate the guy. I've give anything to see that."

Evelynn: "Why don't we?"

Mitch: "What?!"

Evelynn: "Yeah. We can go snooping for the culprit. Like on those shows."

Charlie: "Good idea."

Mitch: "Yeah I did watch cop shows when I was a kid."

Emma: "Wait a minute you guys. I'm not so sure about this. We should stay out of this. It's police business."

Evelynn: (pouts) "You're acting like a buzzkill again."

Emma: "I'm trying to be a realist here. This stuff is for the adults."

Evelynn: "Tell that to Scooby-Doo, Nancy Drew, and Harriet the Spy."

Emma: "You watch too much shows. And that's what they were. SHOWS! This is real life here."

Noah: "Even if we did do this, we got a problem."

The preteens look and saw Blake, Gen, and Emiri watching cartoons on TV.

Evelynn: "Who's gonna watch the rugrats?"

Mitch: "Charlie. How about a favor?"

Charlie: "Huh?!"

Emma: "I can't believe we're doing this…"

Evelynn: "Just get flying spell for you and Noah."

Noah: "Yeah. I wanna fly with my girl."

Emma: (blushes)

Mitch: "Says the guy who's afraid of heigh-!"

Noah: (punches his ribs)

(bones cracking)

Mitch: "OW!"

Emma: "You okay?"

Noah: "Oh he's fine. You know how Mitch is. Can't stop talking!"

Mitch: "Oh bite me.." (groaning)

Blake: "Where are you going again?"

Evelynn: "A little adventure."

Gen: "Why can't we come?"

Emiri: "I want to come myself."

Evelynn: "Sorry this is a big BIG KID adventure. No babies allowed."

Blake: "We're not babies. We're this many!" (holds up the number 4)

Evelynn: "Actually technically speaking… You and Emiri are 4. Gen is like a few months old. Nice try though. Now be good for Charlie."

Blake: (pouts)

Emma: "Cheer up. Maybe you guys can have your own adventure."

Gen: "How do we do that?"

Emma: "Look at this place. Who knows what you'll find."

Mitch: "You ready?"

Emma: "Yeah. Love you guys. Be good."

Charlie: "Can't believe you guys are sticking me with babysitting.."

Mitch: "I owe you one."

Charlie: "Damn right you do.."

Mitch picked up Evelynn and got his wings out. Shiro became a small white tiger cub then got on Mitch's shoulder. Emma did a spell and off they went. As they flew, Noah was making Emma shaking and his heart was beating.

Emma: "You okay?"

Noah: (trembling) "What?! I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be? We're like so high SO FREAKING HIGH in the sky."

Emma: "O….kay."

Mitch: (laughs)

Noah: "Shut up you!"

Back at the penthouse, Charlie had his earbuds on listening to some songs while doing his homework. While that was happening, Gen was looking at the elevator while Emiri was using her dragon wings to look at the books on the top shelf.

Blake: "Whatcha doing Gen?"

Gen: "Wondering where this lead to."

Blake: "Get down Gen. Imma press that button."

Gen: "Okay."

Emiri watched as her brothers go onto the elevator, she panicked. She then went to Charlie who was too busy listening to music. Emiri pouted then went after them. When it stopped, the boys saw that they were in the club.

Gen: "All those people are dancing. It's too crowded."

Blake: "Take my hand."

Gen: (blushes) "Okay."

When they got through, they got under the table. Gen held on to Blake which surprised him.

Blake: "I'll protect you Genbu." (hugs him)

As he hugged him, Gen saw a couple of guys kissing, which left him intrigued. He saw that then looked at Blake. Emiri finally got off and crawled around the club wondering where she was gonna find the boys in all of this.

Lucifer and Chloe arrived the suspect's house with the kids right behind them but out of sight so they wouldn't be seen.

Chloe: "Isabella Martinez, I'm Detective Chloe Decker and this is my partner Lucifer Morningstar. We want to question you about your brother Carlos Martinez."

Emma: "Your stepmom is so amazing Mitch."

Mitch: "Yeah she is. She's really is."

Isabella: "My brother's not here. Personally whatever kinda mess he's in, I don't want no part of it."

Chloe: "Like old times?"

Lucifer: "Oh most definitely. Isabella. Tell me what you truly desire."

Isabella: (hypnotically) "I….I want to stop cleaning up after my brother."

Lucifer: "Yes. Brothers am I right?"

Isabella: "Right? They always get you into messes that's not any of our business."

Lucifer: "Oh yes! One thinks he knows everything and the other steals your identity. The nerve."

Chloe: (AHEM) "Focus."

Lucifer: "Right right right.. Sorry."

Evelynn, Mitch, and Noah: (snickering)

Emma: "Shh."

Chloe: "Might we search your house."

Isabella: "I said he's not here. You calling me a liar?"

Lucifer: (sees two glasses on the table)

Mitch: I think she stalling.."

Noah: "Why you say that?"

Mitch: "Again I seen a lot of cop shows. When a relative of that person says that they're not in the room, they're lying."

Evelynn: "How do you know?"

Mitch: "Cause that guy's sneaking out the window right now."

Emma: "AH!"

Evelynn: "Let's get him!"

The kids went after him. He saw kids chasing after him, he found it strange, so he kept going.

Evelynn: "We're not getting anywhere with this! We gotta separate to cut him off."

Noah: "Good idea. Emma and I will go this way."

Emma: "Let's hurry before he gets away."

Lucifer: "Detective. We have a runner."

Chloe: "I'm on it!"

Chloe went after him while Lucifer stayed with Isabella. When she chase after him she saw Mitch and Evelynn chasing after him as well. She then took out her phone and called Lucifer.

Lucifer: "Did you find him?"

Chloe: "Lucifer the kids are here."

Lucifer: "What?!"

Chloe: "Yeah they are chasing our suspect."

Lucifer: "I'm on my way. Do try not to run."

Isabella: "Whatever."

Carlos came to a dead end. He turned around and saw that Evelynn and Mitch got to him first.

Evelynn: "Nowhere to run criminal."

Carlos: "You shouldn't get involve ninos."

Evelynn: 'Whatevs.. you're going dow—Mitch wait!"

Mitch came in strong at Carlos. He pushed him against the trash can which surprised him how strong Mitch was.

Carlos: "Dios Mio. You are a demon!"

Mitch: "Not even close. Why did you do it?!"

Carlos: "I have no clue what you mean."

Mitch: (red eyes) "You are lying! WHY DID YOU KILL HER?!"

Carlos: (screaming) "Kill who?!"

Mitch: "You playing dumb (DEMONIC VOICE) IS PISSING ME OFF!" (lifting him higher)

Evelynn: "Babe! Put him down! That's not Dominic!"

Lucifer: "Arthur!"

Evelynn: "Lucifer!"

Mitch turned around to see Lucifer coming towards them. Because of that, Carlos took out a gun and struck Mitch on the head making him bleed and drop him. Lucifer with a surprised angry look on his face watch Mitch fall to the ground. Carlos then points his gun at Mitch.

Carlos: "Die Chamuco!"

Evelynn: "No!"

He was getting ready to shoot but Lucifer grabbed the gun and destroyed it. Carlos saw that Lucifer was MUCH MORE SCARIER than Mitch. Chloe, Emma, and Noah came and saw Mitch on the ground and Evelynn wiping the blood from his head.

Chloe: "Lucifer!"

Lucifer: (GROWLING) "DON'T. TOUCH. MY KID!" (red eyes)

Chloe: "Lucifer do not engage."

Lucifer: "He hurt my son Detective."

Chloe: "I know. And he will answer for that the right way. Kids what are you even doing here?"

Emma: "We wanted to help."

Chloe: "Guys this dangerous as you can see. Lucifer put him down and I'll take him downtown."

Lucifer: (drops him)

Carlos: (prays in Spanish)

Lucifer: "Are you alright son?"

Mitch: "I'm fine. I'm healing."

Lucifer: "Good cause I ought to give you another headache."

Mitch: "What?"

Lucifer: "You have no right to get involve. I'm taking all of you back to Lux at once. Once we're done with this cretin we will discuss this later."

Once they got to the building entrance, Lucifer dropped off the kids. After that he and Chloe took their suspect to the police station. Once they got to the penthouse, they Charlie frantically looking for something.

Noah: "Charlie you okay?"

Mitch: "What's wrong?"

Charlie: "Hey guys. Did you figure out who did it?"

Evelynn: "Uh it's too quiet. Where are the rugrats?"

Charlie: "Okay.. don't freak out. I lost them."

Emma: "You what?!"

Shiro: "You're joking right?"

Charlie: "I wish I was."

Mitch: "Damn it Charlie! I gave you one thing to do!"

Emma: "Not now. We have to find them. Where could they have gone?"

Evelynn: "You don't think…"

Noah: "That they're at the club.."

Emma: "We have to get them from down there."

Evelynn: "Yeah before Lucifer shows us his Devil look."

Shiro stayed at the penthouse in case they came back. When they got down to the club, they were overwhelmed by the many people dancing and drinking. How were they going to find 3 little kids through all that?
