How loyal.

Annebeth Chase was not having a good day.

Percy Jackson had left her, for Nico! And the world seemed to be collapsing all around her! Athena must have been angry about something!

What could she do?

"Now's your chance, Aspen." Amity was speaking with her sister, as the two of them watched Annebeth from behind a cabin. "You might be able to obtain her as your girlfriend. . ."

Aspen scowled at her. "Oh, come on! We all know your feelings for her. . ." Amity said. "Look, one of us is going to have to fall in love with her-" Actually, one of them didn't.

"Don't you dare!" Aspen interrupted.

"-And it might as well be you." Amity grinned. "Unless, of course, you're in love with me?" She kissed her teasingly.

Aspen pushed her away and headed over to Annebeth, blushing.

"Um. . ." Aspen said. "I wanted to speak with you."

"Yeah?" Annebeth replied, frowning.

"I. . ." Aspen paused. "Um, how about a date?"

Annebeth almost spat out the tea she had been drinking.

Apollo! Apollo! His head is cold and hollow!

"Oh, whatever do I dooooooooooooooo?" Apollo sang. "I desperately need to find a way out of this meaningless mess!"

"There once was a man called apollo.
He had a head cold and hollow!"
It was rather divine,
But it did not enshrine,
Because his head was cold and hollow."

Apollo sighed. "My, what a life!" He screeched. He left to find Aphrodite.
