It has been barely a few weeks since Kazuto Kirigaya logged out of Underworld and returned to his normal life alongside his partner, Asuna Yuuki, the Integrity Knight Alice Zuberg and his best friend, Eugeo Rulid. Though the initial media storm regarding RATH and Alice's existence has died down, and school has wrapped up for the summer, Kazuto still can't shake the feeling that some new adventure is coming his way.
Kazuto doesn't know he's hit the nail on the head, even if he doesn't realize it at the moment as he prepares for a date with Asuna.
During his time in Underworld, a classified JSDF Project, secretly aided by Asuna's father Shouzou Yuuki, managed to make first contact with another reality, and the people of the land known as the Kingdom of Clarines. After a series of exhaustive and classified proceedings on both sides, it is finally time to cross over. Arrangements were made to allow a small group of Clarinesian officials to come through to Tokyo, and leading this group is Zen Wisteria, the Second Prince of Clarines. Alonsgide his beloved Herbalist, Shirayuki, and his messenger, Obi. After a meeting with some representatives of the Diet, Zen and Shirayuki head to the Imperial Park for some fresh air.
However, as fate would have it...they're not the only ones with that destination in mind...
