Alrighty, guys. Back to bring some more wild Loomian Legacy one shots into this story. This time, it'll give some details on the important events that happen in Cheshma Town and Gale Forest. This oughta be pretty exciting! :D

So, let's get right into it. I hope you enjoy!

The beauty of Cheshma Town blends in real well in the world of Roria. A nice clean pathway, with some small buildings. Not to mention there was also what looks like a coffee shop, and a Loomian center for healing.

Nifty and Tess stop by the center so the former can heal his Loomians. Entering the building, the two young trainers look around, taking in the sights. It was so bright, just like... something so similar back in their own universe.

"Wow," Tess said in awe, "This place looks nice. You liking this so far, Nifty?"

"Oh, you best believe I am," Nifty replied with his trademark smirk, "But man, I gotta rest up and heal my Loomians. All these battles are really getting me on edge."

"You caught another Loomian, fought those trainers flawlessly... there's nothing you can't do, Nifty!" Tess complimented.

"That means a lot, Tess." Nifty thanked, with his Eaglit chirping along in agreement. The lava-haired trainer looks back at his partner Loomian, and grabs the disc used to contain him inside.

"Come on, little guy. Let's get you and Twittle healed up." Nifty said. He raises the disc slightly, and a white beam of energy unleashes at Eaglit, and the small griffin Loomian looks at Nifty as he was sent back into the disc.

He heads up to one of the three podiums, which had seven gray hexagons used to place the discs on its flat surface. Nifty places the two discs in two of the hexagons, and the screen above the machine would fill up with a bright green slowly. Same with a neon teal around the hexagons surrounding the discs.

The process lasts for a few seconds until the entire bar fills with green. Then it lets out a high pitched beep noise, and a green checkmark displays in the middle of the screen. Nifty grabs the two discs containing his Loomians, then meets back up with Tess.

"All done?" She asks.

"All healed up and good to go." Nifty replied. He grabs the one disc containing Eaglit, and sends him back out. Upon the immediate action, the small Light-type Loomian hops back onto his trainer's shoulder.

"Hey, easy with those claws there." The lava-haired boy says. He gently strokes Eaglit's chin with a smirk, and the latter chirps in affection. Tess couldn't help but smile cutely at the action between a trainer and their Loomian.

"So, where should we head to now?" Tess questioned, walking up to the door so she can head out.

"Well, I was thinking we should stop by at that coffee shop for a bit," Nifty stated, "All that running took up energy from me, thanks to the rainstorm when we first got here."

"Me too. I almost felt like I was out of breath." Tess chimed in, wincing during her sentence.

"On the bright side, we don't have to worry about that now," Nifty said, "As long as we find those stone pieces or whatever they're called, we're good to go. But we're gonna need all the energy we can get."

"I agree with you on that." Tess responded. She opens the door and walks out, and keeps it open as Nifty heads out too. He leads the way to the coffee shop as Tess follows behind, closing the door on her way out.

*scene: Kabunga Coffee*

The dark atmosphere mixed in with the dimmed lights scattered around the room definitely made it a perfect place to stop by for a bit. Nifty and Tess were already adjusted to the interior of the small café after ordering a snack.

Nifty even got small treats for Eaglit and Twittle, and those two were already munching down on it. Nifty found this quite amusing as he stared at his two small Loomians. Tess turned back to her friend, munching on a chocolate chip cookie, same with Nifty.

"Almost surprised you didn't get coffee, Nift." Tess remarked.

"Um, I'm sixteen. I can't have coffee." Nifty responded back.

"Fair enough, I suppose." Tess said with a shrug.

"So, what exactly do you think of this world?"

"Hm... well, since no one is around us to hear it, I can share. It definitely feels a lot... bigger than our original one. But our Roria, where we grew up in... it's nostalgic."

"I completely agree on that, Tess."

"Yep! And something tells me that a lot of challenges await you, Nifty. You've always been the kind to brave through them."

"Gym battles, Team Eclipse, training... man, there's nothing I can't do, isn't there?" Nifty boasted, laying back in his seat to show off.

"You, Sonic and Jake have always been the toughest people I know," Tess rambled, "I am very glad I got to join this adventure with you guys."

"Speaking of which, I do hope we find them soon," Nifty said as he got serious, "This is where the portal brought us. And if we cannot find them sooner or later, we may be stuck between a rock and a hard place."

"I'm sure we'll find Jake and Sonic. We just have to keep looking once we're done." Tess replied. She and Nifty decided to drop the conversation and finish their cookies, while the Loomians were already done with their treats.

"GAH!"

Something causes Nifty to jolt up, making him nearly jump out of his seat and possibly hit his head on the roof. A hand was placed on his shoulder all of a sudden before it was removed a couple seconds after Nifty jumps.

He scowls as he whips his head the opposite direction.

"Hey, what the hell's the big ide- uh?!" He shouted, only to stop and show a surprised look when he saw who it was.

His blue hair, still curly and exactly the same. The same set of clothing during the midst of their adventure that looked so eerily similar. And that reassuring smile, almost as if he was excited to see him.

"Sonic?" Nifty uttered.

"Hey, Nifty. Good to see you." Sonic greeted. A small screech was heard from Sonic's side. Nifty averts his eyes to the source of the screech, and saw a small black bat with a yellow furry scarf-thing covering its mouth.

Nevertheless, Nifty looks at the bat for a few seconds before he turns back to Sonic. The latter offers a handshake, and Nifty accepts it without hesitation.

"I know you don't like hugs, so this was the best I can offer." Sonic teased, giggling after he spoke. Nifty narrowed his eyebrows at his childhood friend, then shrugs it off. He looks back, and saw Tess walking up to the two boys, just as surprised as Nifty is.

"I-Is it really you, Sonic?" Tess asked.

"My goodness, dude, I cannot believe it! I'm just glad you're okay!" Nifty exclaimed.

"It's fine, guys. I wasn't injured or anything. No need to worry." Sonic assured. The bat beside Sonic flies up a bit higher as it screeches again as a way to say hello. This causes Tess to recoil a bit.

"Bat!" She simply spoke that one word.

"Who is that, buddy?" Nifty asked as he looks back at the flying creature.

"Oh, this is my new partner, Vambat." Sonic replied. Back with Nifty's two Loomians, Eaglit notices the conversation his trainer is having. Then he notices Vambat and runs up to them, making a happy noise. Vambat looks down at Eaglit and cheers exvitedly.

"Hm? Vambat, do you know this guy?" Sonic asked. Vambat didn't answer the blue haired boy. It was like the former was stuck in a trance for a few seconds. But he snapped out of it immediately. Twittle flies onto Nifty's shoulder and looks back at him, tilting his head curiously.

"I'm gonna guess so," Nifty replied, "So, Sonic, Eaglit and Twittle here are my Loomians. I got Eaglit first at the laboratory, and found Twittle in the wild. Ms. Patricia said one of the Loomians were already taken, because there were six instead of seven."

"Ohh. That was me who took Vambat." Sonic stated.

"You were at the lab, too?" Nifty exclaims.

"Sonic, you mind explaining what's going on? I am so confused right now." Tess groaned.

"Sure," Sonic explained, "So, when I woke up, I found myself in what seems like Roria, but different. Jake found an Embit that has immediately grown attached to him, and I went up to the laboratory where this nice lady and her husband gave me a Loomian free of choice. I decided to pick Vambat, but it was hard to decide at first since they were all very cute. Isn't that right, Vambat?"

"Vam, Vambat!" The small bat Loomian nods and makes an agreeing noise.

"Ah. I see." Nifty said, nodding his head as he places his pointer finger on his chin.

"Wait a minute!" Tess yelled, "Where is Jake? Did you see him around here, Sonic?"

"I wish I knew," Sonic sighed, "After obtaining our Loomians, Jake decided to go his separate way, as if he... didn't want me around him. I haven't seen him around these parts since his departure."

"What? Didn't want you around?" Tess questioned, "But that's impossible! You, Nifty, and Jake grew up together! How could he not want you to be by his side more than ever?"

"Hey, don't worry about it too much, Tess," Nifty said softly, "I'm sure that why Jake ran off was for good reasons. He did want to try and be more braver for us, and I guess this is how he's gonna do it."

"It was for a good reason. Don't worry." Sonic replied.

"Ohh, if you say so." Tess groaned, placing her hand on her forehead.

"I'm just happy to see you guys again." Sonic complimented.

"You too." Tess responded, smiling again.

"Anyways, I was thinking we should adventure all together now," Nifty suggested, "Sonic, I did hear that Gale Forest is just around that corner, and Tess and I are on a mission. Would you like to re-join our team?"

"Oh, of course!" Sonic replied instantly, "What kind of mission, though?"

"Well, during a thunderstorm, we encountered Patricia and her husband, Nick, inside a cave," Nifty ranted, "We all witness a mysterious stone tablet with ancient text displayed all over it. Nick said the text 're-arranged themselves,' but that's some kind of bulls**t excuse I thought. But then I saw heard he wasn't lying when we saw the tablet break into pieces and fly away in different directions."

"Huh?!" Sonic nearly fell over. The words were buzzing away from his head.

"I know it sounds insane, but it's true. But with that being said," Nifty continued, "Nick and Patricia decided to assign us to find these missing pieces with a high technological advanced LoomiWatch. So they can find out what the new text says."

"W-Wow. Um... that sounds like much, but I'll do it!" Sonic agreed, "I'll do whatever it takes to help you guys in any need, just like you helped me many times before!"

"That's the spirit!" Nifty cheered, with Eaglit and Twittle joining in. Sonic's Vambat also flies around the two boys excitedly.

"As you guys were talking, I just so happen to know a head start to the forest. Just follow my lead." Tess opted.

"Got it!" Nifty and Sonic say simultaneously. They stick together and keep their Loomians out of their discs, walking out of the coffee shop. The sky was still bright, and the sun shining down on them.

After so much time in the dark, the group of three complain about the brightness.

"Ack! Gosh dang it, I hate when this happens!" Nifty shouted.

"It's like my eyes were on fire for a moment!" Tess complained.

"Urgh... I-I'm okay, I'm okay." Sonic assured as he squints his eyes after rubbing them. Vambat screeches in a complaining way, covering his eyes from the light. Same with Twittle, as he flew around to get himself used to the energy.

Eaglit was the only one unaffected, as he didn't mind the light. He coos curiously as the rest of them.

"Okay, enough of that. Let's go." Nifty groaned, speaking quicker than he normally does. His two friends adjust to the bright sunlight, and Nifty leads the way yet again. Not that Sonic or Tess mind, as they always consider Nifty as a team leader anyway.

As soon as they reached the pathway to the forest, its glistening silence entered into their ears. The silent wind, blowing trees to one side and making the leaves shake around to fill in the complete silence. Not to mention hearing the chirps of many wild Loomians in the tall grass.

In front of a house, there was a formal old man with a large gray moustache and rounded glasses, filling in his formality with a top hat. There were also two police officers speaking to him: one male with dark skin, and the other female with light skin.

"I promise, I'm not making any of this up," The formal man countered, "The Loomians, I saw them with my own eyes. They were possessed with an evil spirit! They attacked me with incredible strength! The aura it gave off was dark and chilling. Something has disturbed the souls of this forest!"

The speaker was almost out of breath as he thoroughly explained in detail about what he went through. The officers were not buying any of it, from the serious looks they expressed.

"What you're saying is absurd," The male officer replied, "There are no evil wild Loomians in these woods."

"He's right. These woods have always been watched over by a Guardian Spirit." His female partner added.

"I've lived in these woods for many years," The old man exclaimed, "And I am telling you, I have never seen anything like this! I believe Duskit, the Guardian Spirit of these woods, may be a key element in the local Loomians' change of behavior."

"Nonsense! The Guardian Spirit is a protector of the woods." The male officer scoffed.

"Sir, your claims simply do not make any sense." The female one stated.

"Fine then, don't listen to me. I know something has disturbed our sacred forest, and I will get to the bottom of this myself if I have to!" The older man shouted. The male officer sighs and face palms.

"Good day to you, sir." He growled. He and the female officer then walk off, with the formal man looking back at then, squinting his eyes. Meanwhile, the young trainers saw the officers pass by them, and they exchanged confused looks. The Loomians did as well.

"Huh. Why were the police here?" Sonic questioned.

"I wonder what that was all about." Tess wondered.

"Hey, you three!" The old man exclaimed. Everyone's attention came towards him.

"Us?" Nifty asked, pointing at himself. Eaglit and Twittle make confused chirps.

"Yeah, you! All of you! Come here!" The old man offered. Accepting his request, they all walked towards him.

"What's wrong, sir?" Tess asked.

"You three look like Loomian trainers." The man assumed.

"Well, Sonic and I own Loomians. Tess doesn't." Nifty proposed.

"Yes, but I'm with them as a group." Tess chimed in.

"Listen, I need your help. Nobody would believe what I saw earlier today." The old man groaned.

"What was it that you saw?" Sonic questioned.

"Something in these woods have changed over the course of the last few days," The man answered, "Duskit, the Guardian Spirit, has protected these woods for centuries. I've visited it from time to time, and it's always been gentle. Except, of course, when I went to visit it this morning!"

"Oh no!" Sonic cried.

"That's not good at all!" Nifty exclaimed.

"Would you kids mind investigating this matter a little more for me?" The formal man requested, "I would go back myself, but I am defenseless and cannot withstand another attack. Maybe have two eyewitnesses will convince the law to take this more seriously."

"No worries, sir! We can help you find out what's wrong with Duskit." Sonic says.

"Yeah, we got this covered. I have Eaglit and Twittle, and Sonic has Vambat. We got this covered." Nifty boasted.

"You just hang tight, and we'll figure out what the problem is. Where is Duskit, anyway?" Tess asked.

"Duskit usually resides in a grove deep in the woods under a flowering tree." The old man replied.

"Sounds find by us. We'll get over there as soon as possible." Nifty agreed.

"I'm going to go inside and rest now for a bit. I've had a long day. Good luck, young trainers." The man said. He then heads back inside the house that is next to him. When he was gone, the three trainers look towards each other.

"Seems like we got another problem on our hands," Tess whispered, "But we have each other, so there's no doubt anything can go wrong."

"That's right. Sonic? Tess? You guys ready?" Nifty asked.

"You bet!" Sonic cheered, as Vambat growls happily.

"I am too, Nifty!" Tess added.

"Wonderful! Let's get a move on and solve this case!" Nifty chuckled. He then heads up to the first part of the forest, fit with two patches of tall grass. His Loomians stayed beside him in case of any wild attacks, while Tess and Sonic stood behind their friend as support.

*soon, at the area with the cherry blossom tree...*

The looped path was grueling. It felt like they were going in circles. It felt so long with all the wild Loomians and trainers that wanted to battle Nifty and Sonic. That's when they stopped by a large cherry blossom tree, where the pink flowers made many large piles.

At the center with a Capture Disc on a cementary stone, something caught Nifty's eye.

"Oh, guys! Look!" He exclaimed as he points at it. They all look closer, and saw it was one of those corrupted pieces.

"Oh! That's one of the stone pieces! Good eye, Nift!" Tess commented.

"That's what you were looking for, right?" Sonic asked.

"Yep! Not to mention we may figure out something about Duskit, as the man says he's around here." Nifty responded. He and his friends and Loomians approach the rock. Nifty activates the watch and activates a face chat with Nick.

Within a few seconds, Nick appears in a hologram image displayed by the energy of the watch.

"Hey there! What's up?" He greeted.

"Wazzup, Nick. Tess and I found one of those stone pieces you were talking about," Nifty replied, "Oh, and Sonic is there, too. He's another friend of mine. We grew up together."

"Hello!" Sonic chirped.

"Oh! I recognize your voice! You know each other!" Nick realized.

"Yes, we do." Sonic replied.

"Hey, Nick, can you explain on that?" Nifty questioned patiently, as Eaglit climbs onto Nifty's shoulder.

"Well, he came across my lab before I went with Derrick to the cave," Nick stated, "My wife decided to give him one of the seven Loomians so he doesn't get attacked, or feel lonely. He went off after I told him to stay safe."

"Ah, that explains why there were six Loomians instead of seven when Tess and I went inside." Nifty spoke.

"Don't leave me out of this!" Tess yelled as she frantically waves her arms for attention.

"Ha ha, not to worry! I admire your presence," Nick chuckled, "Anyways, Nifty, you said you found one of the lost stone pieces, right?"

"Yep. It's right there." Nifty replied, inching closer to it and moving his arm. It helped Nick see the stone inlodged in the grass. And it gave off this... ominous purple energy.

"Excellent work! I knew you all could do it!" Nick cheered.

"Oh, hey, guys! Look over there!" Sonic exclaimed as he points to something behind him. The Loomians stick together to look at it, while Nifty and Tess squint their eyes to see what was there.

It was another area of the forest, but it was covered by a large amount of this... black goop sticking together, almost maintaining a solid form.

"Now, what on Earth is that dark goopy stuff behind the tree?" Nick questioned, "It appears to be radiating the same energy as our tablet piece. Looks as if it's tainted by something."

"Psh, hell if I know." Nifty groaned, shrugging his shoulders.

"So, what do we do now?" Tess asked.

"I'm going to need that stone as soon as possible to begin examining it," Nick replied, "I need to know more about that energy that surrounds it."

"Do we have to carry it all the way there?" Sonic asked.

"Looks WAY to big to do that, but it may be our only choice." Nifty answered

"It may be easier if we work together to carry it." Tess added.

"Carrying the rock won't be necessary," Nick assured, "Nifty, go ahead and try out your LoomiWatch's Digital Transport feature!"

"Uh, okay. This button right here?" Nifty mumbled. He presses the button, and a a hologram from the watch scans the rock. When it was done, cyan squares appeared above the rock as it fades away from the spot it was in.

The Loomians made noises as they were in awe from what they witnessed.

"Holy moly, technology is so advanced these days!" Tess uttered.

"That was incredible!" Sonic cheered. Nifty kept his eyes widened when he saw the transportation process taking place, then looks back at the watch to continue the call with Nick.

"Awesome! I should be receiving it momentarily." The archeologist chuckled.

"...I have so many questions right now." Nifty stammered.

"Ha ha, I understand. The power of a LoomiWatch is definitely something for newcomers." Nick said.

"I'll say!" Tess exclaimed.

"Oh, and by the way... what's that thing behind you?" Nick asked as he tilts to one side to try and get a better look.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Nifty questioned. Everyone turns around, and they were shocked by what it was. The energy it gave off caused the call to end in the blink of an eye.

It was a floating black cat Loomian, with a white face mask like thing around its yellow eyes.

"What in the...?" Sonic uttered. The mysterious Loomian closes its eyes as it slouches, almost like it's sad. He shook his head as the mask around its eyes turned more into a dark gray.

It screams loudly as a bunch of ominous purple energy expelled out of it, asserting its dominance. It flies a bit higher and unleashes a ghastly energy right at the group at an intense speed.

"LOOK OUT!" Nifty screamed. He pushes Sonic out of the way, while Tess barely dodges the incoming attack. Eaglit gets in the way to protect Twittle and Vambat. And it leaves the griffin Loomian untouched.

"Vam?" Vambat looks at its Light type friend, while Twittle coos as it flies away from the attacker.

"Eaglit, Eaglit!" The griffin growls as he nods once. He stood his ground as he stared at the opposing Loomian. It clenches its fists as the dark energy succumbed it deep inside.

"You alright, Sonic?" Nifty asked as he helped his friend up. Sonic groans, then smiles as he looks at his childhood friend.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Nifty. You're always helping me out." The blue haired trainer replied.

"Hey, guys? Don't mean to cut in, but, um... this Loomian isn't going to leave us alone!" Tess reminded, placing her hat back on.

"So, this must be Duskit. I'm afraid the only choice to get it to stop is to fight it." Nifty said.

"We have to act quick, before we get hurt! Or our Loomians!" Sonic yelled, "Quick, Vambat! Use Chomp!"

Vambat quickly flies towards the corrupted Duskit. The former whips the scarf off to reveal its fangs, and bits down on Duskit's arms. The corrupted Loomian screeches in pain, but he quickly pushes Vambat off.

"Twittle, use Peck!" Nifty commanded. Twittle flies in from behind to sneak attack Duskit. However, Duskit notices the incoming bird Loomian, and his eyes glow a bright blue. This caused a cyan outline around Twittle as he froze in place, as the attack forced him to.

Twittle struggles constantly, but Duskit flings it over to the wall.

"Hang in there, Twittle!" Nifty called out. Duskit turns back towards Vambat as he was already flying around. Duskit quickly approaches, and screeches as it uses the ghostly energy in the form of a physical attack.

Vambat tanks the hit as he yelps, but it didn't do much. However, the small bat cries in pain as there were electric bolts surrounding him.

"Oh no! Vambat's paralyzed!" Sonic cried. Duskit begins to use that same attack and unleashes it at the trainers.

"Take cover!" Tess screeched. Everyone goes in separate directions to avoid the attack, albeit barely.

"Grr... Eaglit, use Pounce! And Twittle, Peck again!" Nifty shouted. Eaglit jumps up to pounce on Duskit with all its strength. Twittle approaches Duskit's side this time, and with the two attacks combined, Duskit took some damage.

However, it was far from finishes. At insane speed, it get towards Twittle and unleashes his Startle attack. It catches poor Twittle off guard and pushes him to the wall again. The corrupted Loomian then performs the last attack he did on Twittle, and levitates Eaglit in the air this time to push him to the walls.

"Eaglit! Use your claws, and bounce off of the wall!" Nifty yelled. Eaglit shows his determined look, and gets knocked to the wall from the Brainwash attack. However, Eaglit uses his hind legs to push himself into the air, leaving Duskit befuzzled.

"Awesome! Now, use Shine!" Nifty cheered. Eaglit screeches as a ring of light unleashes itself at Duskit. He gets pushed back and falls to the ground.

"Vambat, if you can still fight... use Chomp one more time!" Sonic exclaimed. Vambat stumbles in place, but then shakes it off. He flies as fast as he can to Duskit and bits him down once again.

When Vambat flew away, the corrupted Loomian kneels down as it places its hands on the ground to keep itself standing.

"Is it over?" Tess asked as she sticks by Nifty and Sonic. Duskit's face mask turns back to its normal white color, and he looks back at the three trainers.

Duskit grabs Nifty's right hand with both of its own. He stares at Duskit confused. All the Guardian Spirit Loomian did was nod once, potentially as a way of saying thank you. Before Nifty could speak, Duskit flies away.

"Wait!" The former uttered. But it was too late, as Duskit was long gone by then. Eaglit claws Nifty's leg gently, while Twittle perches himself of Nifty's right shoulder.

Nifty also noticed Duskit dropped a small red shard in his hand. He simply places the shard in the bag, saving it for another time.

"You guys okay?" Nifty asked them. Eaglit makes an affirmative coo noise, while Twittle just whistles musically. Sonic approaches Vambat and scoops him up in his arms, letting the small bat Loomian rest.

"Don't worry, Vambat. We'll take you to the Loomian Center real soon." Sonic whispered softly.

"Oh, thank goodness that's over. I nearly had a heart attack all of a sudden!" Tess exclaimed, "I'm really glad I was paired with you guys. It happened out of nowhere!"

"Not to worry, Tess. That's why we're here: to protect and support." Nifty boasted, as Sonic smiles gleefully. The lava-haired trainer then calls Nick again, in which he answers immediately, but with a scarred look on his face.

"Oh, there you are," He sighed, "I was worried something happened to you guys when you hung up suddenly. Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, we're fine," Nifty replied, "We were attacked by this weird cat Loomian unleashing ghostly energy at us. Luckily, I had Eaglit and Twittle with me, and Sonic had Vambat to help stop the attacker. When the battle ended, it's like it... turned back to normal from corruption, and floated away without a word."

"Hmm, that must have been Duskit, the Guardian Spirit of Gale Forest." Nick stated.

"It was all corrupted when we saw it..." Tess whispered.

"Anyway, I got the tablet piece you sent," Nick answered, "From what I can tell so far, it has a strong reaction to light."

"Oh?" Sonic hummed.

"Is that so?" Nifty questioned. Nick nods as his response.

"The corrupted matter seemed to completely dissipate when I shined a bright light on it. You might be able to destroy that dark blob with a bright light." He rambled.

"Hm, but how could we get a light strong enough?" Sonic asked.

"Eaglit's power couldn't be enough to get rid of THAT entire thing." Nifty added, with Eaglit making a sad noise in disappointment, with his ears drooping down. Nifty shows a soft smile and gently pets Eaglit's soft head.

"I have an idea," Nick said as he snaps his fingers, "Silvent City has a Battle Theatre. As you know, each Battle Theatre has a head trainer known as the Battle Star. If you can defeat a Battle Star's challenge, they will award you with a medal, and, in some cases, install an exclusive application on your LoomiWatch."

"Ooh! Nifty and Sonic are really good at battles. This might be right up their alley." Tess giggled.

"Heh, you don't have to tell us twice." Nifty said with his snarky smirk.

"I wanna try the Battle Theatre. It seems fun!" Sonic cheers.

"Lucky for us, it just so happens that Naya, Battle Star of Silvent City, has an app that can shine a very bright light from your LoomiWatch," Nick continued, "Perhaps enough to attack that veil of darkness."

"Eaglit might like that, too." Nifty teased, as Nifty makes an agreeing noise.

"Nifty, Sonic, Tess, I think our next move is for you all to make your way to Silvent City and complete the Battle Theatre challenge," Nick instructed, "While you work on that, I will try and pinpoint the location of another chunk of the tablet."

"Sounds fine by me." Nifty replied.

"I'll give you another call soon. See you all, and stay safe!" Nick says. He then ends the call, and Nifty places his arm back down.

"I also really hope we can find Jake soon." Tess chimed in, a worried look plastered on her face.

"Don't worry, Tess. I'm sure Jake is close by." Sonic assured, showing a small smile. This made Tess smile back, reminding her this feeling of having friends. Like a warm feeling she cannot completely described.

"Well, we should get back to Cheshma Town and heal up," Nifty suggested, "Vambat's paralyzed, Eaglit and Twittle are hurt... I'd say it's for the best before we move on to Silvent City."

Sonic and Tess nod at the same time, with the former keeping Vambat close. As soon as they were about to leave, the old man from earlier runs up to them.

"Hi there. I watched you all battle Duskit from a distance." He greeted.

"It was intense!" Sonic exclaimed.

"I'm at a loss of words for how strong Duskit was!" Tess shouted in an exasperated tone.

"It seems a battle with it was all it needed to be freed from the corruption," The old man replied, "I've heard reports of other people encountering corrupt Loomians all around Roria. It does not appear that they can be captured, but I've heard that knocking them out will make them drop a mysterious shard item that boasts powerful energy."

"Hm. So Duskit isn't the only one facing this whole corruption crap." Nifty said.

"That concerns me." Sonic added with a wince.

"But the shard are helpful, right?" Tess asked the older man. He nods once and adjusts his hat.

"If properly applied to your Loomian, they could potentially give your Loomian a powerful stat boost," He remarked, "Alright, well, I've had enough action for one day. I'll be returning home now."

"It's no problem." Tess replied.

"Good luck, young adventurers, and thanks for all your help." The man said in a grateful tone. He then walks away from the small hub area of the forest. Nifty looks back at Sonic and Tess as they all stick together, with Nifty's Loomians refusing to stray away from him.

When the old man was gone, the group of three and the Loomians walk away as well, with their first destination to help up after that long battle against corruption.

*scene: Cheshma Town*

After healing up from the battle with the corrupted Duskit, everyone sticks together as they set up to where Route 2 is. There was much to discover up ahead, and there was no doubt in anyone's mind that their journey was just beginning. The missing tablet pieces, corrupted Loomians... finding Jake...

...

As they all got near the Loomian School, three teenagers were chased out of the building by a male teacher with dark skin. They all stopped in place, and the teacher had a very disappointed look on his face.

The other three teenagers simply stared back at him, scowling. They all had similar outfits, black and gray with orange outlines. One was a guy with blonde hair and a hat, fit with the set color of a t-shirt and shorts. One of the females also had blonde hair in pigtails, but her shirt was a blank gray. The other red-headed female wore a dress, but one thing in common...

Was that all the outfits they had on had a logo with a broken orange heart.

Upon the chase scene beginning, Nifty, Sonic, and Tess stop in place. Twittle perched itself on Nifty's head, while Vambat got in a protective stance, growling. They all exchanged confused looks as they witnessed the situation.

"I've never had a group of more disruptive and disrespectful group of kids in this class," The teacher scowled, "I'm going to be having a talk with your parents."

"Don't bother, we aren't coming back." The red-head female scoffed.

"Yeah, we don't have time for this lame school," The other girl chimed in, "We only came because Mabel's mom made her."

"We tagged along to support our friend. If she goes, so do we." The boy said, stepping closer by Mabel's side. The teacher stroked his beard as he groaned, feigning his disappointment at these three.

"Well, if that's the case, then don't let me catch you around my students any more." He warned.

"Don't worry, we're leaving this lame town," Mabel snapped, "I don't need a school to help me learn about Loomians. I can do it on my own!"

"What in the world is she going on about?" Tess whispered.

"Um... this is really awkward." Sonic winced.

"You and me both, dude." Nifty responded to his blue haired friend. As they continued to speak, the other three teenagers notice them with their gossip. This caused them to look straight at each other. The boy felt more guilty, but the girls raise an eyebrow.

"Hey, you three, are you here for the school?" Mabel questioned.

"Huh?" Sonic uttered, "Oh no, we were just-"

"You all look pretty weak, so I bet you are." Mabel quickly interrupted the blue-haired trainer. Tess growls as she stares at Mabel angrily. Nifty kept his cool, yet he was glaring daggers at the red head.

"Well, don't waste your time with this place. Loomian battles don't require any training or strategy." She rambled. Nifty stepped closer and points at himself, almost like he was trying to melt Mabel's heart with his death stare.

"B**ch about that again in front of my face, a**hole. I'm melt that stupid heart off of your dumba** outfit." The lava haired boy threatened, with Eaglit growling as he got into a combat stance. Twittle remained unfazed, refusing to partake in any further action.

"Whoa! Language!" The two blonde-haired twins shouted simultaneously. At this point, the teaches just backs away, almost about to head inside and shut the door.

Tess slightly smirks, then looks back towards Sonic to whisper in his ear.

"I bet you really missed Nifty's potty mouth, didn't you?" She asked.

"Pretty much." Sonic giggled, as Vambat stares at Sonic curiously.

"W-Whatever you say, dork," Mabel exclaimed as she sweats a bit, "But in Loomian battles, the only thing that matters is sheer power."

"Yeah, just gotta keep hitting back- WHAM BAM POW!" The blonde girl shouted, expressing her actions in many combat poses.

"...Uh, yeah, what they said." The boy said nervously, placing one hand behind his neck.

"That sounds so wrong." Sonic whispered.

"On so many levels, it's very wrong." Tess agreed.

"I've wasted enough time here." Mabel groaned. She then looks to the other girl.

"Lucy..."

Then back at the boy.

"Lucas... let's get out of here.

Mabel then sprints on out of the place. The twins, Lucy and Lucas, quickly follow behind their friend, with the latter stumbling a bit as he was almost caught off guard.

"Well, that was pretty dumb," Nifty sighed, "I don't know who they think they are, but their minds must be messed up. Like a whole lot."

"Hey, sir, is everything alright?" Sonic asked the teacher as he approaches him.

"Those children are very misguided," The older man sighed, "Mabel, the leader of the three, doesn't even have any Loomians. I simply do not understand where she got her perspective. She believes that the outcome of a Loomian battle is purely dictated by the Loomians' raw strength."

"We're sorry to hear that. I hope you don't seem to encounter them like that again, especially considering how she acted." Tess apologized.

"Sounds to me like it remains a mystery. Also, I sorry 'bout my language." Nifty added.

"It's quite alright, young man. But there is much more to a battle than just strength, though," The teacher continued, "Why don't you come into the school for a moment, and I can show you three what I mean."

"Sure, I don't see why not." Nifty said with a shrug.

"Okay then." Sonic and Tess say at the same time as Nifty spoke. The male teacher nods once, then heads back inside the building. The three trainers and their Loomians head into the school, curious as to what's going on.

A/N: I've been having a real burnout lately. Running out of ideas on what to do, and it's putting me in a bad writer's block position. :(

On the bright side, I have gotten the motivation to make another part of the Loomian Legacy one shots. I have two more I had in mind, but I want to make one for Brick Bronze as well before I do so.

Anyways, that's about all I've had for today. Have a great day, everyone, and I'll see you next time! ;)
