Chapter 25: King Dragon Kingdom Part 2.

Anastasius

It has been one day since the arrival of Everett Greyrat, No Name, and the noble.

Nothing too crazy has happened ever since then really, but today is the day when Master Pax and the Noble finally meet and try to come up with a peace treaty for both KDK and Asura. I'm somewhat worried that it will go to shit, but I should have hope in Master Pax considering the fact that he and Master Saladin are the ones who saved Victoria and I's life. If it wasn't for them the both of us would've been massacred or sold off into slavery.

Even if we were able to survive the genocide of our village, I doubt I would be the same or Victoria would be the same. Hell, I wouldn't even be as strong as I am now. I would be nothing but a pathetic being who wouldn't be able to do anything but be quiet and be useless. I wouldn't even have the strength to protect Victoria from any danger. But now of course, I'm able to do so. All because I was given a chance to be something. To be of use to someone. For as long as I live, I will do everything in my power to protect, serve, and be of use to Master Saladin and Master Pax. Even if it means them commanding me to kill myself. Because I would gladly do whatever they command me to.

Then there is the one person who has been by my side through thick and thin. Victoria. Even though I don't remember much about who her parents were, and the type of person they were, I always had the sense that I could be there for Vicky. Even on the day when our home village was raided by bandits, I tried my best to protect her no matter what. Victoria is like my little sister so of course I'll do anything in my power to protect her, even if she has her special magic eye and knows a lot more stuff about magic than I.

I should stop rambling on about random shit at this point and get to the real details of what is about to happen today.

My morning routine would usually consist of me getting up early in the morning and going for a little jog around headquarters. Next I would then bathe myself of course, can't walk around smelling like sweat of course. One last thing I usually do before going on a trip to one of the surrounding areas is wake up none other than sleeping beauty herself.

This morning was nothing different except this time Vicky is awake without me having to wake her up. I opened up her door and saw her out of bed.

"Woah! Victoria, you're awake already!?" I yelled in shock.

Her face lit up like a strawberry for once and she held out her hand at me. It looked like she was muttering a couple words before I was suddenly struck down by an intense pain in my head. It wasn't until then that she used wind magic to close the door on my face.

"How about you knock next time before opening up a lady's door jackass!"

"Jeez my bad… It's not like I'd ever fall head over heels for you anyways Vicky… Can you hurry up and lift this annoying ass pain spell you casted on me though!"

I was practically pleading for my life due to how painful this damn spell is! Is this something new that she was working on or not? Either way I just want this to be over!

This went on for about 3 minutes before Victoria finally lifted the spell and left her room. Even though she may be like a little sister to me, there are definitely things that I find annoying about her. What she just did to me, is one example of it.

Anyways let's just skip whatever is next and get to the part where we're randomly sent on an extermination quest with No Name.

"I wasn't expecting you two to tag along with us Anastasius!" Everett greeted Vicky and I while we approached them.

"Yo Everett Greyrat!" I waved at him, "Yeah. We're tagging along just in case you all just happened to run into an insane monster or something like that. Can't have the escorts/bodyguards of the Asuran Noble die now."

The grey haired freak brought his hands up to his mouth and blushed out of nowhere, "So does this mean we're loved!? How delightful!"

Are those two the same exact people or something? Why the hell do they act so similar, it's just so damn annoying. Either way though I should just ignore him so we can get started on our little journey to kill this S rank monster. I wonder why we know nothing about this monster though besides the fact that it's an S rank?

Our target was about 3 hours away from headquarters, so this must have been an urgent request. Though I am curious to know about why it's this close and why Master Saladin isn't the one taking care of this issue. Is this a test for us to see the strength of No Name together, or is this all for Victoria and I to show off in front of them. Also there was a piece of information saying that it was only one monster too? Just how much of a force of nature is it.

The journey to the location was swift since we were on a carriage that was led by one of the top horses at headquarters. We were suddenly cut off from a piece of debris flying directly towards us. The debris came towards us at a terrifying speed, I was almost certain that we'd be goners with how it came at us. It wasn't until the Greyrat siblings used their earth magic to stop it from crashing into us. They truly are a force of nature when it comes to using earth magic.

"What the hell was that?" The Greyrat Siblings said in unison.

"Drop the earth magic real quick Everett Greyrat and blondie! I want to investigate what was thrown at us real quick. And if it comes back at us I'll just deflect it using my Blessed Sword, [Oblivion] and my Water God techniques."

I had to make sure that whatever was thrown at us wasn't anything too crazy. Plus maybe this could give us a hint about just what the hell we are dealing with today. Once Everett let go of his spell, there was a big piece of armor on the ground. Within the next second after that there was a big ass monster that looked like an Executioner that could be found in a labyrinth. It stood at about 3.5 meters tall, it was fucking massive! Now's not the time to be freaking out over how tall it was.

It created a sword out of thin air and then swung at me with a speed that could match a Sword King. It wasn't a [Longsword of Light], so I was able to react to it with ease. I was able to parry the monster's strike but I was still sent flying.

"ANASTASIUS!" Victoria cried out.

God I can't keep it together whenever she yells after me like that. It tugs at every part of my heart whenever I have to hear that pained expression of hers. She ran as fast as she could over to me, while being accompanied by the white haired elf. The elf placed her hand on my chest and healed up any bruises I received from crashing into a nearby tree.

"The name's Eleanor, try to remember it Dragon Knight. Also I recommend waiting about five minutes before getting back up. Victoria was it? Please keep an eye on him while we handle this monster the best way we could."

Vicky nodded at Eleanor and I decided to follow along with her plan.

Everett

How the hell could Anas get blown back that far by just a sword swing? It's a good thing that he was able to parry the strike but wow… We can definitely handle this but it'll be difficult if it's kicking out some manpower like that.

"Eleanor! Do you have any knowledge about what this monster is called?" I yelled before commanding No Name to back away from the monster.

"This is the first time in a while that I've even seen this thing. This is a very rare version of the Executioner, it is called the [Immortal] and is the S rank we are after. I have no idea why it is out in the open though."

Good with her replying like that, I signaled Kathlyn to get into position for a combo [Absolute Zero] cast. I hope that this will be enough to end it, but I guess we'll have to wait to see. Without wasting a single minute, the two of us silently casted the spell and within an instant the [Immortal] was completely frozen.

I was about to let go of [Fractured Soul] until the damn monster broke out of two [Absolute Zero] casts. How can something be that strong for crying out loud? Another thing that makes this whole entire situation bad is the fact that it looks pissed off. Shit, this is going south right away, and casting that emperor class spell took out a lot of mana from me. Just how can we bounce back from this?

The S rank [Immortal] conjured a new set of armor for him to use, and made a new sword. There's almost no chance that we can survive another sword swing from him unless Kyra, Kath, and Eleanor put their strength together and try to block the attack with Water God Style bullshit.

"Shit, get ready to dodge the swing everyone!" I yelled.

A blinding light appeared out of nowhere as soon as I yelled out to my teammates.

"What the-"

I covered my eyes with my hand so I wouldn't lose my sight from this random light, but the way it appeared almost out of nowhere was shocking. Insane thoughts started to flood my head as I tried to think about if everyone was safe or not. Where's Leo? Is Kath and Art alright? How is Eleanor doing and did Kyra get to a safe place when I yelled at the group? I hope the second I open up my eyes they aren't dead. All I want right now is for them to be safe over anything. Including myself. I do wonder how Anastasius and Victoria are doing… They probably would have been caught up in that attack too huh.

"Everett Greyrat! Get your ass up right now and help me finish this thing before it's armor regenerates!"

A voice that sounded familiar snapped me out of my depressing thoughts.

"Alright! Eleanor if you are there, combo my full power [Electric] with your Dragonbow alright! This is the only chance we'll have!" I said while channeling as much mana as I could into the spell.

I could only hope that El was able to hear that. It's now or never at this point. I drew the arrow and pointed it at the center of the [Immortal]. From that point on I could see just how much damage Anas did before passing the torch to us, thank you so much for this opportunity. I let out a little chuckle before letting go of the arrow. Everything from that point on was a big ass explosion, considering the fact that my [Electric] probably amplified El's arrow.

The [Immortal] didn't regenerate after that attack, so I guess it was safe to assume that we were able to finish it off. I looked around to see if I could find everyone, and of course they're all right beside each other. I guess El will be on extra healing duty today unless Victoria can heal. I am a little shocked to see Leo right next to her though, it's almost like he fell in love at first sight…

I made my way to everyone and let out a sigh of relief.

"I'm so glad everyone is safe now."

"Luckily I was able to come to your rescue with the help of my trusty sword." Anastasius added on while patting his scabbard.

"Yeah, you aren't wrong about that. Good job on being able to react that fast, even if it was a [Longsword of Light]." Eleanor praised.

Holy shit. Did my white haired goddess just praise someone other than me? This is unheard of!

"Ehehe~ I-It wasn't much now…" Anastasius rubbed the back of his head before Victoria smacked where he was rubbing.

"Let's not get too comfortable here. I would like it if we were able to sleep back at headquarters now."

Victoria pouted. Leo made a squealing sound before conjuring a carriage made of wood. Kathlyn healed the horse that was pulling us along, and we made our way back to the Knight's Order.
