Author Note (disclaimer- skip next 3 paragraphs to continue reading the next chapter)
So, the reason that I didn't upload till now is that . . . actually I was in a little rollercoaster ride of emotions . . . and as I was constantly trying to get the ride to stable, date of exams was announced and I was Totally in confusion for more a week . . . in confusion and thinking how should I manage my time to fit both 2-5 hours for study and 5-7 hours for continue writing new chapters for this fanfic in my schedule . . . and I came to conclusion that I will reduce time for writing new chapter from 5-7hrs to only 1-2 hrs per day . . . however, that was not right for both my mental health and quality of new chapters. . . even though, I was able to completed one chapter( previous chapter. Chapter 13) this way, I had completed SCREWED it and it turned out very bad, I was able to realized it thanks to all the comments on it when I post it on discord . . . and this happened because I was already so confused on how to write an "awesome" fight scene which I-myself- read and say THAT'S SO AWESOME. . .
And 1-2 hrs per day wasn't enough for me to figured it out and plus the roller coaster ride I was on didn't help in it at all. . . so instead of writing a fight scene, I only show them reaching arena and cardinals presenting 'Divine-Class Items' on the table then I wrote a teaser of the end to save my ass from writing a fight scene and making chapter not too short. . . and that was a bad idea and thanks to all the people who commented on that draft that I realized it, otherwise I would have posted it as it is. . . and so, the situation at that point was like this. . . it's been almost 2 weeks since I uploaded last chapter on fanfiction website and I haven't write a proper chapter and exams are only some days away now . . . plus, I am nowhere near prepared for them. . . So, I made a choice that I am going to take a pause and focus on exams because right now they are more important than anything. . . and will start writing after exams get finished. . . but just my exams were finished, CBSE announced that they are gonna divide CBSE board exams into two parts and one part will be held in 1-2 months and other will be held at usual time, in feb-march. . . and I assure you ask any Indian "are boards exams terrifying and important exams?" and they will say "they are the devils who have the power to control your whole life after them- which collage you will go to, whether you will able to choose your fav stream or not, even your job, etc."
And so yeah, i was on the verge of being completed fucked and potentially screw my whole life. . . and hence, I decided that I will drop my story completely and put all the focus on study. . . and thanks to that I finished very, very main exams ( , Science and Maths ) with hopes of getting more than 85% and now only two main exams are left (English and Hindi) and even though these two boards are important. . . I am not afraid of them now because its MCQ based this time. . . and so, here I am continuing my fanfic. . . and By The Way, the previous chapter ( chapter 13 ) was 60% the chapter I posted on discord. . . however, I removed the teaser part and added a bits and pieces here and there and also added 4-5 end paragraphs. . . and it became somewhat ok-ish . . . and here was the reason why I didn't upload till now. And I apologize to all the people who came hoping for new chapter. . . and I know that many people did come hoping for new chapter because I left with 1.5k views( 1,500+ views) and I returned with more than 17k views (17,000+ views) . . . I am SORRY TO ALL OF YOU and also THANK YOU for all of you . . . really guys THANK YOU for making me realize that I they are some people who likes my fanfic and wait for it like I do for my fav fanfic. . . THANK YOU. . . and also SORRY for making you guys wait so long.

LET THE MATCH BEGIN!
As soon as mock battle start, Black Scripture wasted no time and started attacking Jagrath who was standing 10ft away with no armor but only with a glowing sword which did suit his humanoid form he was in.
Even though, he was wearing no armor, he wasn't naked either. He was wearing clothes he wore when he was 'forcefully transferred' to New World. He was wearing a shining white robe which had silver border/ending. And also ten very shiny and fancy looking rings in his every finger.
It was 8v1 with 8 members of Black Scripture attacking one member of Yggdrasil Guild Mortifier. However, no one in the crowd thought that it was unfair or that the person facing eight members-of one of the most secret and Powerful scripture, Black Scripture, which consist of only best of best warriors and magic casters of New World's most powerful human nation, Slane Theocracy-would lose horribly and possibly die trying to block one hit from them.
Instead, everyone one in crowd was scared for the nine members of Black Scripture that they might die or get a fatal injury. The audience was just that scared for Black Scripture or that they just that much overestimated that one person who was fighting against them. Some of the members of other scriptures were even glad that they weren't the ones fighting against that one person.
However, the audience was also excited to see a shrewd of power of that one—possibly overestimate-person fighting against their mightiest scripture. They were excited to see how that person will counter the attacks of his strong opponents.
As soon as the match started, Black Scripture immediately started their combination of attacks.
Their two giant shield carriers shielded two magic casters who also immediately started casting several tier 2 and tier 3 spells. Their one magic caster was between the two giant shields but not completely protected by them. However, she needed the complete sight of her target in order for the spell to work. So, being covered by those two giant shields would have hindered her ability to have her target in complete sight. Hence, the two giant shield carriers didn't try to shield her.
Their two casters, 4th seat and 6th seat of Black Scripture, started casting several spells. 4th seat of Black Scripture also known as "Divine Chant" casted [BOOST: STRENGTH] and [BOOST: AGILITY] on captain and 5th seat of Black Scripture (also known as "One Man Army") to buff their raw strength and agility. 6th seat of Black Scripture casted [SWAMP] on the soil his opponent was standing on, in hopes of reducing his agility and also in hopes of reducing chances of him evading blows of captain and One Man Army. 6th seat of Black Scripture also casted [FIREBALL] and [LIGHTING] even though he knows that these spells are not sufficient to pose a threat to his opponent.
6th seat casted [FIREBALL] and [LIGHTNING] which are basic attack spell and which he knows aren't powerful enough to pose a threat to his opponent but he still cast them toward his opponent because he thought that his opponent has to either evade them in order to not get hit by them and lose the mock battle or block it with a spell of his own. he thought that in both case it will snatch his attention from two figures running toward him and might provide a second or half to those two figures.
Their one magic caster known as "Divine Chain", casted a tier-4 binding spell [IMPRISONMENT] and immediately several huge and thick metal chain popped out the swampy land-due to the spell casted by 4th seat, the land in two feet radius of their opponent had turned into perfect swamp.
In New World, warriors can boost their overall physical strength with a martial arts [ABILITY BOOST] and [GREATER ABILITY BOOST]. martial arts in NW is made up of a technique that didn't not exist in the Yggdrasil. however, Yggdrasil had a similar power to martial art's called "SKILLS". while martial arts such as [ABILITY BOSST] allow warriors to increase their overall physical strength which magic caster cannot use. there is a category of spells which magic caster can cast to buff their allies physical strength i,e, [BOOST].
[BOOST] can increase any one of these five-strength, agility, flexibilty, hardness of skin, and reflextions, at a single time by casting [BOOST: STRENGTH] to increase physical strength, [BODY: AGILITY] to increase agility, [BOOST: FLEXIBILITY] to increase the flexibity of the body and make it easier to bend or twist a litter more. [BOOST: SKIN HARDENING] to increase the hardness of the skin and makes the skin harder to cut or slash, and lastly [BOOST: REFLEX] to increase the reflexes of the targeted body. though magic caster of arcane and divine type can cast these spell to buff their allies, these spell doesn't not increase the physical abilities of the person as much as martial arts can increase.
For example, if a person has 50 agility and he used [ABILITY BOOST] martial arts. he would now have total of 55 agility with other physical abilities increasment while if a caster cast [BOOST: AGILITY] on the same person, that same person would experience his aglity go up from 50 to 53 but no other increasment in other physical abilities.
Their two swordsmen-Captain of Black Scripture, and 5nd seat of Black Scripture nicknamed as "One Man Army" (will also be referred as One Man Army)- run toward their target who was 10ft away in order to get their target in the range of their swords and possibly get a surprise hit their whole squad was depending on.
When their swordsmen were only few inches away from getting their opponent-Jagrath- in the range of their sword. Captain noticed that his legs-Jagrath's leg- were in the swampy soil which meant that 6th seat's spell worked and noticing this formed a light smile on Captain's face. However, that smile didn't last long because he also notice several huge and thick metal chain coming out swampy land underneat their opponent and forming in a way to bind their opponent's whole body but as soon as those chain tried to come close to their opponent's body. They got repelled like they have hit something mid-air and that something repelled them and cause them to break into very tiny pieces and then turned into nothing-ness like they never existed.
Captain's face lost its slight smile it had when he saw that even a tier-4 spell wasn't enough to touch their opponent. And with a slight frustrated tone "tch" left his mouth.
Captain and One Man Army got their opponent in the range of their swords and used their respective momentum to strike their opponent with greater power. Captain used [GREATER ABILITY BOOST], [PHYSICAL BOOST], and [SEVERING BLADE]. Captain swing his sword downward and used his momentum to aim for his opponent's left shoulder. One Man Army used [GREATER ABILITY BOOST], [FULL THROTTLE], and [FATAL EDGE] . One Man Army swing his sword from his left to right and aimed for his opponent's neck.
[PHYSICAL BOOST] increases one's own physical stats to the limit for a brief time.
[SEVERING BLADE] allows one to take down strong opponents in a single attack.
[FULL THROTTLE] allows a person's own abilities and attacks to be increased to the maximum speed they are capable of.
[FATAL EDGE] by pouring energy into their blade, it allows the user to unleash an intense slashing attack.
Jagrath saw Captain going for his left hand and One Man Army for his neck from his right. He also notice two spells [FIREBALL] and [LIGHTNING] coming for him-which he predicted will hit him as soon as their swords touch him, meaning that Captain and One Man Army's sword and their magic casters spell will hit him simultaneously. and seeing such precise teamwork moved him a little-he also notice a small figure-probably a elf-with a Cross Shaped War Scythe, going for his back while he was mid way of receiving two big lollipops, nicely cut and made with metal and "love and care", and also two candy made with mana, and thrown from a distance.
Captain's sword hit something metallic and produce a strong "thud" sound which echoned thoughtout the arena. instead of the left shoulder of Jagrath it was headed for just a blink of the eye before. just a blink of the eye before there was nothing between the Captain's sword and the left shouylder of Jagrath. Jagrath didn't appeared to make a move to counter it either but in the blink of a eye, everything changed and the sword was blocked by a one-handed shield and Jagrath's left hand which didn't have anything before, now carried a one-handed shield whcih was blocking the sword of Captain's sword.
In the blink of the eye, One Man Army's sword was also-just like Captain's sword-blocked but not with a shield instead with a glowing sword Jagrath had equipped in his right hand.
4th seat's spell-[FIREBALL] and [LIGHTNING]-came close to Jagrath but before they could hit his body. they appeared to hit something invisible mid-air and simply disappered into nothingness just like the metal chains from earliler.
The elf figure-as Jagrath thought of her-is an extra seat of Black Scripture, named Zesshi Zetsumei (will be referred as Zesshi). Zesshi was meant to protect the treasury where items brought by Yggdrasil players-Six Great Gods-to New World are kept. however, as those items were taken out of treasury to present them to their savior, Jagrath. there was no need for Zesshi to protect now a empty room called treasury. hence, the reason Zesshi was given the permission to fight against their savior-Jagrath-in this mock battle by the Cardinals.
Zesshi was eqipped with a Cross-Shaped War Scythe called Scythe of Death. it was a legendary-class item from Yggdrasil. Scythe of Death was said to be the "Grim Reaper's weapon" because of its exptremely dark appreance with blood red edge which gve the impression of death weapon. Magic caster who first apprasied even said that this weapon was made from the emotion to kill and desire to bring death to mass and because of that magic caster's this description of the weapon, no one believed him at first and called him idiot but he countered with "a weapon which can cut the strongest metal, Adamantite like a butter can only be made from one's emotion and not from any metal!".
Zesshi was moving behind Captain and One Man Army till they get Jagrath in their attack range. Zesshi tried to move behind Jagrath while he was mid way of recieve two blows from Captain and One Man Army. to try hit him from behind while his focus is on them and hopefully not on her.
Zesshi used [ABILITY BOOST] , [GREATER ABILITY BOOST] , [FLOW ACCELERATION] and [FATAL EDGE] and swing her scythe to attack Jagrath's back. however, just as her scythe was about to hit Jagrath's back, one pair of wing suddenly appear out of his back and stretch wide and hit Zesshi's body just before her scthe could hit his back. Zesshi immediately cast [IMPENETRABLE FORTRESS] just as she saw a wing coming for her. and that was probably why she was just thrown into the air and landed some distance away and only cough a little bit of blood instead of receiving a heavy blow and possibly lossing one or two bones.
Jagrath pushed both One Man Army and Captain gently to try create some distance between them and give them some time to regroup and attack as a team once again. And a gentle push actually pushed them several metres away instead of few feets he planned them to go.
Watching them getting pushed several metres away from his push what he thougtht of as 'gentle push' made him realise that he would have to work on his strength control.
Just as Captain and One Man Army were trying to stand up. Jagrath spoke from where he was-which didn't changed from the start of the mock battle as he didn't have to life his foot once.
"Ah! What a great sight... to see such precise teamword where every single move is thoughtful as well as add to the combination of attacks or help the team to deliver serveral great blows one after another... also great usage of a simple spell such as [SWAMP] to try reduce my movement as much as possible. However, why did you assume that if a 2 tier higher spell such as tier-4 binding [IMPRESIONMENT] didn't work on me, a two tier less spell than that such as [SWAMP] would work on me? . . . indeed it did convert the soil beneath me into swamp but did you see my foot get stuck in it?-" at this point, several light bulb light up in the audience as well as in the arena. everyone except Azael-who already knew that such weak spell couldn't possibly work on a leader of Supreme Angel and as well as Supreme Angel himself.-thougth that 4th seat's spell work as soon as they saw soil turn into swamp and naturally assumed that Jagrath's leg were stuck.
However, now after being told that it didn't. they notice that Jagrath's foot was on top of it and it wasn't in it or stuck in it.
And to prove that it really wasn't stuck in it. Jagrath casually wallk outside of it without any problem.
"-as you saw right now, my foot wasn't stuck in it and I was able to walk out of it pretty easily. Now that's that. but I just saw great teamwork by you guys... protecting Divine-type magic caster immediately after match started so that I can't knock them first or interrupt their casting... or attacking me from three different sides at once while casting attack-type spell as well. one from left, one from right, two spells from centre and one from behind. Great Tactic!. at first I wasn't taking this mock battle seriously and was just testing you guys but Since you guys are giving your best and trying hard. I think I would be dishonouring your's warrior sprite\pride if i continue to play it off anymore and didn't take it seriously.-"
After saying that, the glowing sword and one-handed shield disappered from Jagrath's hand and it appeared as if it got turned into nothingness. Suddenly, he was wearing armor and had swords in his each hand.
Jagrath's armor was covering him from head to toe with only a T-shaped cut in his helmet to see. his armor was white with symbol of Mortifier Guild on his back and on shoulder engraved in dark red color.
Jagrath's this armor was called "Armor of Pride mk#7". This armor was among the 20 armor Jagrath owns and has in his inventory at all times. This armor was one of the armor in a series called Armor of Pride containing 9 armors. MK#7 is a Divine-Class armor. it was created by Mortifier's Blacksmith-Vulcan-for the tournament of Guilds. Vulcan created nine armor of this series. First two armors were only legendary-class armor and was only prototypes but rest seven were all Divine-Class armors having different properties from one another and having great protection power. Vulcan initially creat them for seven of his guild warrior-class member who were going to participate in guild final of guild war. However, after some time, he created armor for each warrior-class guildmember specificaly created for them and having perfect properties to help specifically them.
After getting new better and specifically made armor, all seven members liked it so much that they started wearing them in all of their fights and since they didnt need the armor of series "Armor of Pride", they end up giving them to their Guild Leader to make a special display for them in their main base which endded up cancelling.
Two swords in Jagrath's hand were both randomly drawn legendary-class swords which he got from pk-ing.
Jagrath took a battle ready stand and calmly declared.
"Now, I will honor your dedication and your warrior pride. I will treat you as warriors and fight you as i would in a serious fight."

Yeah... this chapter is very very late. However, I have nothing to say except I couldn't figured out the how should I portray the fight i have in my mind in the fanfiction style which gives the feeling "YEAH! DESTROY THEM" just like the feeling we get while reading fight scenes in Overlord.
and in the process of writing it in that feeling. i had to write and re-write it several times. the first time, i had to change the whole counter done by Jagrath instead of the way it was writtened. he was going to use his wings to get air-born and avoid all the attacks and show them that even if they can't see his humanoid form's wings, it doesn't mean that he doesn't have them in his humaniod form.
and it turned out very lame... so yeah.. i had to erase it... i was confuse what to do and that's the reason i am late.
BTW, some important notes-
I am going to remove the second chapter(some words from me) because i think that it isn't need anymore and it being stay there ruins the flow of read. so, when you will get this chapter you will see 13th chapter being uploaded instead of 14th.
I need some help... Its been almost a year since i have read any volume of overlord and i am confused on what excatly happened to the dragonic kingdom in the real overlord?.. because i can remember 3-4 different things that happen to it but i can't tell which was fanfiction and which wasn't.. so i need your help, if you guys know which volume it is in, it would be much much appreaciated it. really, reading all 14 volume will take me a lot of time now unlike before. so any help right now to reduce that time will be very very much appreaciated.
