The rest of the car ride home was not that quiet, Natasha and Loki kept a relatively light conversation but a deep conversation they had gotten close during Loki's time on Earth at first Natasha was distant but she was the whole team but she and Loki were always fighting about small things nothing big, until one day Loki had enough and made her a peace offering by gifting her vodka and some very good Asgardian mead that she, of course, hid from Tony, who also got the same gift but he down his in one month and has been after Natasha stash for months.

The kids were still sleeping when they got back to the compound which Natasha counted as a win she was taking the shopping bags in the house while Loki took the kids in the room shield had set up for them, it was 2 doors down from Natasha's room in the room there were 3 bunk beds which suited their current situation just fine.

Natasha was starting to put the children's clothes in the washing machine when Loki appeared she didn't acknowledge him she didn't have to she and he both knew she heard him coming before he even entered the room.

"The children are down. If you need me I'll be in my room." Loki said

"So you're not going to help me?"

"You seem to have it all managed. Call me when the misfits are up." Loki said as he teleported himself away leaving Natasha in the laundry room, she let out a small groan. She had a big load of laundry to do and she wasn't sure she would get it done before the kids woke up.

Natasha put in the first load of laundry and went upstairs. It was quiet and she didn't like it. The compound was usually loud and she would bump into one of the guys or Wanda but she saw that it wouldn't be happening for a while until a cure was found for whatever Stark did to them. Natasha before she knew it found her way to Loki's room, she didn't bother knocking and Loki didn't look up at her from the book he was reading," You know it's proper to knock." Loki said as he flipped a page in his book," I'm bored, and you're the only adult here." Natasha said as she flopped on Loki's bed turning on the tv.

"I thought you were washing clothes? I'm sure that's much entertainment for you."

"We need to talk."

"About?"

"Sleeping together." Loki stopped breathing and his eyes went wide. He only glanced quickly at Natasha but pretends to keep reading his book," What?"

"Sleeping together. We need to start sleeping in the same room so the kids don't get suspicious and have a meltdown like they did this morning."

"Fine, I'll sleep on the floor."

"No, you'll sleep on the bed."

"The floor is fine." Loki said now looking at Natasha," No it's not if one of the kids wakes up and finds you on the floor and if they get a nightmare and come in the middle of the night and just see you on the floor." Loki stared at Natasha and Natasha stared back at him and they sat there for a while until Loki sighed," Fine I'll sleep on the bed."

"Look whos being an obedient husband," Natasha said as she watched the pout former on Loki's face and she chuckled," Don't do that," Natasha says," Here," Loki said as he conjured up something and when he opened his hand it was 2 ring it had an emerald centerpiece with diamonds covering the band and there was another ring a diamond one.

"What are you giving me this for?" Natasha said she hadn't taken the ring from where it laid in his palm.

"I'm supposed to play my part as your husband," Loki said as he slipped on the second ring first and then the emerald ring on her ring finger," But you didn't have to do this."

"I wanted to and I have a ring of my own." Loki said as he showed her his silver band ring which had a small bit of emerald on it," I'll give them back to you when this is all finished." Natasha said

"No, keep them, it's for you. Consider it a gift." Loki says

"Thanks." Natasha said as she only got and 'hmm' from Loki which caused her to roll her eyes she had never gotten a ring to keep she had gone on a mission with Clint and they posed as a married couple but she never got to keep the ring and it never lasted as long as what she and Loki would have to pose as she always loved imaging even for a little what the marriage life was like coming home to someone but she never dwelled on it because it wasn't the life for her she would never have what Clint has.

It was quiet between them while Loki read his book and Natasha watched tv and it was that way for 40 minutes until they heard shouting coming from down the hallway where the children were," What the bloody hell?" Loki said as he and Natasha both got up and went to check what was going on. When they entered the room they found Tony and Steve rolling around on the floor while Thor tried to separate them while Maria was screaming at them to stop while trying to calm down crying Wanda and Peter.

Loki grabbed both boys off each other," Would anyone like to tell me the meaning behind all of this?" Loki said as he looked at both boys as he held them apart," Steven wouldn't let me play with the toy truck!" Tony says as he tries to hit Steve but Loi stops him," Only because he would wake up the others Papa." Natasha let out a chuckle who thought Iron Man and Captain America would be arguing over a toy truck she thought as she was holding Peter and Wanda," Well you ended up waking up your brothers and sisters anyway."

"Both of you have time out 15 minutes," Loki said as he pulled 2 chairs from the table in the corner and placed one facing the wall and the other facing the other wall," Go on then pick a chair." Steve looked like a kicked puppy as he went to go to the chair, his head down in shame, Tony pouted as he stomped his feet to his chair," I want you both to reflect on what you did and Friday will be monitoring you both." Natasha was impressed by how Loki handled the situation and followed him out of the room with Maria and Thor following them.

"Why don't you 2 go play with your toys, while me and Papa make lunch." Natasha said as she set Peter and Wanda down or tried to set Wanda down but she wouldn't let go," Wanda go play with your siblings." Natasha said as she tried to untangle herself from Wanda but the little girl wouldn't have it," I wanna stay Mama. Stevie, not here." Wanda said as she buried her head into Natasha's neck.

"You wanna help me and Papa make lunch until Steve is out of time out." Natasha felt Wanda nod against her neck, taking that as a yes Natasha led them to the kitchen," What are we going to make for lunch?' Natasha asked no one really as she shuffled through the cabinets and found them bare except for canned tomato soup and Loki had found bread and cheese in the fridge.

"So I guess it's tomato soup and grilled cheese."

"Friday put in an order for groceries and please add child-friendly snacks and other things me and Natasha forgot to get during the shopping trip if you could do so kindly," Loki told Friday

"Of course Mr. Odinson."

"Wanda darling, do you want to help me make grilled cheese?" Loki asked taking Wanda from Natasha and set her on the counter, so he could see her nod," Well let's get started." Loki said

"Make sure to wash your hands," Natasha tells the 2 as they proceed to wash their hands and get started on making the grilled cheese well she got started on the tomato soup. They had been working silently; mostly Loki was humming a song but Natasha couldn't place it so she assumed it was Asgardian," Mr. Odinson and Ms. Romanoff I would like to inform you that the 15 minutes are up." Friday's voice rang through," I'll go see. Thanks, Friday." Natasha told Loki as she left the kitchen Wanda followed after her.

"Your welcome Ms. Romanoff."

When Wanda and Natasha entered the room she found Tony and Steve right where she left them," Boys come here." Natasha said softly to the boys who came over towards her with their heads bowed," Hey look at me no ones in trouble." Both boys looked up with guilty expressions on their faces," So did we reflect on what we did." Both boys nodded," Steve."

" I shouldn't have fought with Tony it was wrong for me to hit him," Steve said

"Tony."

"I should've played outside with my toy truck and not get into a fight with Steve."

"Good now, say sorry and hug it out."

"I'm sorry Steve for hitting you. Tony said to Steve," It's okay Tony I'm also sorry for hitting you."

"Come on give each other a hug," Natasha told the two boys who hugged each other now both smiling," Go on and play lunch will be ready in a while."

"Come Stevie play wif me," Wanda said as she dragged Steve towards the other children, Natasha felt a smile spread on her lips as she walked back to the kitchen where Loki was making grilled cheese while the other was stirring the tomato soup," How did it go?" Loki asked without turning around to address her," Yeah they fixed it. I can take over now." In an instant the Loki double was gone," I'm going to go set the table." Loki said he had finished doing all the grilled cheese," I'll start taking out the soup." Natasha told Loki who nodded before having his magic carry plates and silverware to the table while he held the plate of grilled cheese.

"Show off," Natasha muttered
