Prompt: (word) adventure

WC: 996/1000

"Let's go on another adventure, Charlie," Bill said with a smirk. He stood in the doorway and watched his younger brother changing Victoire's nappy. "Just one more before you head back to Romania."

"Yes, please! I am so tired of changing her nappies," Charlie whined, but he began peppering kisses over Victoire's face in an obvious attempt to apologize. "Uncle Charlie's really sorry, baby, yes, he is!"

He disposed of the dirty nappy and cleaned his hands before picking up the red-faced Victoire and turning towards Bill. "What do you have in mind?"

"More like what do you have in mind? I'm up for anything." Bill knew the smile on his face was probably demonic, but he didn't care.

Ever since he had had his first adrenaline rush doing something Muggle, Bill had been dying to do something similar again. Charlie had forced him to zipline down the mountain with him, which, at first, had terrified Bill. Later, Charlie had mentioned rappelling down a waterfall and Bill had jumped at the opportunity. Now, Bill was brimming with excitement at doing something adventurous again.

Charlie thought for a few moments before grinning just as deviously. "Want to go jump off a cliff?"

"Yes!"

"Wait, this one's got a zipline, too?" Bill asked, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he gaped at the thick wires and platform a couple of feet away. "But… we're already on a cliff?"

Charlie grinned as he unbuttoned his shirt and pulled it over his head in one smooth move. He dropped it to the ground and began yanking his trousers down. "Yeah, genius. We're going to jump from the zipline!"

"What?" Bill's heart stuttered.

"Yeah, it's going to be so cool! Come on!" Charlie grabbed Bill's arm and began pulling him towards the raised platform. He handed the guide the two tickets and turned to Bill. "Try not to look down."

Bill heard the words and immediately looked down.

The blue-white waves crashed against the side of the cliff, roaring their displeasure over and over again. Foam gathered on the rocks before disappearing in the blink of an eye. Jagged rocks stood firm against the brutal waves, and even from his vantage point, Bill noticed the green fungus coating them.

"I thought we were just going to jump off the cliff—you didn't say anything about ziplining and then jumping!"

Charlie's grin widened. "This is even better than just jumping off a cliff, Bill. Trust me. It's my third time doing this."

Bill took a deep breath before nodding. "Fine. Let's do this!"

Charlie clapped him on his shoulder. "Great! Start undressing—you do not want to jump with your clothes on. You'll just be swept away by the waves and I'll have to tell Mum and Fleur you died in a freak accident."

"Why would you—"

"There is no way I'm telling them you jumped off a cliff to have fun. Can you imagine what Mum will do to your corpse?"

"Probably light it on fire and then ask the others to piss on it."

"Nah, that's what your wife would do. Mum would chop you up into tiny pieces and throw you off the same cliff you jumped from and yell at the sharks to eat you," Charlie said, laughing at the image, and Bill joined in even though he shivered in fear at the thought of his mum's retribution.

"Weasleys, you're up next," the guide called out, and Charlie and Bill quickly walked over to the zipline.

Strapping themselves into the harness, they listened to the guide's instructions on how to press the button at the right time to dive into the sea. Once that was done, Charlie grinned at Bill. "See you down there!"

And with that, Charlie leapt off the platform and careened down the line, whooping and screaming in delight. Bill's heart was in his throat as Charlie unbuckled himself and plunged down into the water below.

"You're up," the guide said, and Bill shakily nodded before stepping up to the ledge.

He couldn't keep his screams in as he jumped off. The wind howled in his ears, and he waited just a second longer to unbuckle himself, his heart thundering in his ears just as loud as the waves below him. His arms and legs flailed as he hurtled down towards the water.

Landing with a splash in the freezing water, Bill almost burst into tears. The waves washed over him again and again, and he did his best to swim up to the surface, where Charlie was waiting for him with a face-splitting grin.

"So?" Charlie yelled over the sound of the waves.

"That was awesome!"

Charlie laughed heartily and Bill joined him.

The wind was still roaring in Bill's ears, his heart was still pounding, and he was pretty sure he had just peed himself, but jumping off the cliff had been a brilliant idea. Bill was already planning on asking Charlie to go on another adventure.

Charlie must have noticed the look on Bill's face because he snorted loudly and splashed Bill with the water as he swam towards the shore. "You've got a daughter to think about, remember?"

"Yes, I feel really guilty," Bill said quickly. He followed Charlie out of the water and shook his drenched hair out of his face.

"No, you don't."

"Don't you want me to tell Victoire stories about her wonderful dad and her equally wonderful uncle on their adventures?"

"You're a jerk."

Bill smirked, aware that Charlie was already on his way to agreeing to another adventure. "What should we do next?"

"I've always wanted to go volcano boarding…"

"I'm in!"

"It will be dangerous—"

"Dangerous is my middle name," Bill boasted.

"I thought it was Arthur—"

"Doesn't matter. Arthur equals dangerous—"

"Dad is the least dangerous wizard on the planet," Charlie said pointedly.

"Whatever. Are we going volcano boarding or not?"

"Not now. We'll do it the next time I'm in England, I promise."
